A good listener is not someone with nothing to say. A good listener is a good talker with a sore throat.

Listening and thinking
A good speaker is a bad listener.
A batsman is keen in watching.
A bowler is keen in throwing.
The bad listener hardly learns.
The good listener hardly thinks.

Pleasantries
When you meet one
You must greet
Saying good morning.
When you part
You must treat
Saying good night.
In between, you say
“How do you do? ’
The words are lifeless.
You use them heartless.
The listener knows it.
If you don’t use
The listener is hurt.
Pleasantries are ghosts
Offending in their absence.

A very good listner
As seat belt was fastened
I pretended not to be listened
The eyes were dozing and I simply relaxed
The thoughts invaded mind as problem was so much waxed
I could not prove good listener
I was not new or beginner
The chances were getting thinner
As others were proving very good winners
It is nice to be good listener
You may not emerge as looser
People may try to put their views
They want favorable response and dues
You may fall out of grace
They will not leave any trace
It is hard to neglect any one
As if we have to share problem of some ones
Pretend as if you are sympathetic
You are attentive to the situation pathetic
You may suggest one or two good things
It may be taken as advice for something
It is good to be listened or to listen
The problems may emerge all of sudden
You need to confide it to close friends
Though no solution may be in sight to end
It is human tendency to feel relieved
What ever advice you get must be believed
It is certainly a relief amidst crisis
Not much is to be laid as emphasis

To Be A Good Friend
A good listener is a good friend.
So is one who least disturbs or probes.
Without giving anything in kinds
You can still remain a good friend.

Two good talkers are not worth one good listener.
Sometimes I wish I could walk up to my music for the first time, as if I had never heard it before. Being so inescapably a part of it, I’ll never know what the listener gets, what the listener feels, and that’s too bad.

I think I'm generally a good listener anyway.
A good listener is usually thinking about something else.

When I was speaking about communicating, I meant that the listener - we have to reach the listener; otherwise, of course, you're writing the piece, as I say, only for the satisfaction of seeing it on the paper for yourself, and then it ends right there.

It gives the listener a good workout, to listen to the music, the same as it does us to play it.

Be Good Johnny
Skip de skip, up the road
Off to school we go
Dont you be a bad boy johnny
Dont you slip up
Or play the fool
Oh no ma, oh no da,
Ill be your golden boy
I will obey evry golden rule
Get told by the teacher
Not to day-dream
Told by my mother:
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good (johnny)
Be good be good.
Are you going to play football this year, john?
No!
Oh, well you must be going to play cricket this year then,
Are you johnny?
No! no! no!
Boy, you sure are a funny kid, johnny, but I like you! so tell me,
What kind of a boy are you, john?
I only like dreaming
All the day long
Where no one is screaming
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Johnny!
