Like only a small grain of sand

Like only a small grain of sand,
my life, the lives of all living people,
and the whole planet lies in Your hand
while for your power there are no boundaries;
You know all things far past mere wishes
and do know each intimate thought
and even the secret, the most intense,
while in the darkness
the Satan tampers as Your biggest enemy
but You know everything, to You everyone is somebody.

the whole of love and

We Are All Lost In Our Own Small Lives

WE ARE ALL LOST IN OUR OWN SMALL LIVES

We are all lost in our own small lives
Which seem to be the world to us
But which are for the Universe
A grain of a grain of a grain of sand
So so so so nothing at all –
We are all here at the center
So serious about what we are
And we ultimately are
What every unnamed atom will never see
Oh small is not the word
And nothing either
We puffed puffed puffed up fools
Mostly me.

Secret Touch

The way out
Is the way in
The way out
Is the way in...
Out of touch
With the weather and the wind direction
With the sunrise
And the phases of the moon
Out of touch
With life in the land of the loving
With the living night
And the darkness at high noon
You can never break the chain
There is never love without pain
A gentle hand, a secret touch on the heart
Out of sync
With the rhythm of my own reactions
With the things that last
And the things that come apart
Out of sync
With love in the land of the living
A gentle hand, a secret touch on the heart
A healing hand, a secret touch on the heart
There is never love without pain
Life is a power that remains

No Small Doubt

Satan starts with a small doubt, when it’s God who’s talked about,
Satan takes a well grounded fool, and uses him as a spiritual tool,
One sharpened tool for deceit, for Satan’s goal of spiritual defeat,
As victory through Christ is yours, but, the enemy subtly implores,
That one soul to join the lost, and become an enemy of the Cross.

It may be someone that you know, though a friend, a spiritual foe,
Maybe a family member, or two, who spiritually disagree with you,
They might not even be aware, when used by the prince of the air,
That serpent and the father of lies, going for that spiritual demise,
Of men and women everywhere, who regarding Truth, do not care.

Satan makes inroads all the time, to sway the heart and the mind,
So that they will reject God’s Son, Christ who came for everyone,
From doubt he moves to deceive, and even men, who do believe,
So that their influence for The Lord, upon others, may go ignored,
As Satan uses everybody he can, even those who are Born Again.

With some doubt he brings dismay, causing clouds along the way,
Clouds of darkness and despair, to assert that God does not care,
But not only does The Lord care, He defeated the prince of the air,
Though Satan will lie until the end, he cannot defeat God my friend,
Who alone, can set all men free, as they accept Truth from Calvary.

It is no small doubt my friend, as Satan works to produce your end,
An end that goes beyond the grave, for all who God does not save,
Not because He can’t; He died for all, but, Satan induces man’s fall,
Man’s enemy in this Age of Grace, so The Truth they won’t embrace,
Inciting doubt, his deceptive breath, moves men to an eternal death.

Secret Lives

I dont know
I dont know whats on your mind
I thought everything was fine
But it was my surprise.
I dont know
I dont know whats going on
Something surely must be wrong
Youre living secret lives.
Chorus:
Living secret lives, secret lives
And I wonder where she goes to in the night
In secret lives.
Wish I knew
Wish I knew where I fit in
Wish that I knew everything
About your secret lives.
If it means
If it means that much to you
I dont want to stop the things you do
I dont need alibis.
Repeat chorus
I dont care
I dont care what goes on there
So long as one day I can share
Share your secret lives.
Repeat chorus
Repeat chorus
Repeat chorus
Secret lives, secret lives
Secret lives, secret lives...

That Part Of A Whole

it is a tiny part
as tiny as a grain of sand
you hardly give it
attention
you keep on saying
what is in this grain of sand
that philosophers
say contain this universe
something so tiny
yet to contain everything
and so you hold the grain of sand
against the light
and revolve it around your fingers
little finger planets
to the sun grain of sand
you cannot believe what you
felt and saw
and so you throw away that grain
of sand to the air
eating it like a big mouthed monsters

you are lost
your world dissolves
like ice
you turn to air
and there you are
gone.

Living With The Enemy

I gave you all that you wanted
and still you come back for more
You say that you're brokenhearted
but then you walk out the door
Maybe it is time for us to say goodbye
Where are the tears you never cried?
Hey baby what you got on your mind
are you looking for some sympathy?
I can tell you if it's a truth or a lie
'Cos it's just like living,
living with the enemy
You got me going in circles,
I'm slowly loosing my head
What did I do to deserve this,
you make me wish I was dead
Tell me I'm wrong and I'll be on my way
See you around another day
Hey baby what you doin' tonite?
Are you giving me the perfect dream
I'm so tired and I don't wanna fight
'Cos it's just like living,
living with the enemy, enemy
Living with the enemy, living with the enemy, enemy
Living with the enemy,enemy
Living with the enemy, living with the enemy, enemy

Grain Of Sand

From every grain of sand
That falls from my hand
Through my fingers to the ground
To utter but not a sound,
For like a Human life
That pasted before my eyes
To be here and then be gone
Forgotten like yesterdays dawn.
For like a grain of sand
The Boy became a Man
Who cries tears of His fate,
For He knows for what Man did,
Is from what Man had made.
Though as being caught up in the air
And being blown to who knows where
For where we go, no man knows
And where we die, is where we lie.
We are all here a lifetime
As though it seems a long time
It is though, but a short time,
To live and love, then die.
Like a grain of sand
That falls upon the beach
To be caught up in the rain or air
And to go where no one can reach,
A Girl becomes a Woman
The Boy becomes a Man
And everyone makes their own fall,
Like a simple, grain of sand.

0332 How were they to know?

Yes, how were they to know,
searching in the heat of forenoon dunes,
those high hills of sand
where once the forests grew,
now a rhythm of burnt sunned, cool shadowed, mock horizons,
- they, searching for the camel which had strayed -

and finding there, a man sitting still, cross-legged
in the sand upon a small strip
of faded coloured carpet,
palm of hand crossed in palm of hand,
and in the palm of his upraised right hand,
one grain of sand

and who, as they approached,
did not shift his gaze from that one grain;
and yet they sensed that he sensed them;
better let him be, he knows what he’s about,
or if he’s mad, at least he’s quietly purposeful…

how were they to know
that as he gazed, the universe he saw
in that one grain of sand then
grew inside of him? till it filled itself,
like a sand-clock, as the last grain
falls from the upper to
the lower, and all is still again
as measured time stops still
amid the sands of time?

how were they to know
as that small figure against the desert sand
his cloak still burning to the touch,
returned to the oasis, as the red-hot sun
sank below the dramatic shadow of the furthest dune,

and later, sitting by the green palms and papyrus reeds,
the camels head down, humped around the welcome pool,
one child, then many children,
then grown men, asked him their questions;
and the answers, as the night folded in
below more stars than anyone could count,
drew the circle of cross-legged silent listeners
- occasionally, urgent voiced with a lifetime’s pressing question -
as if some grain of sand became in their mind too
totality; the universe.

How Do I Love You?

In mere words I can find no kind of way
to express the depth of my love for you,
the yearning of every passing day,
not even in the things that I say and do.

In the simple small daily kind of things
that fit into the mere puzzle of life,
intimate, sincere heartfelt tidings
outbalancing the every day strife

it is all unclear in the silent need,
that comes natural to you as my wife
it is from far beyond any act or deed
and its truth never pierces like a knife,

but is much like childhood faith, without pain
it is somewhat difficult to explain…

Ashes Of American Flags

The cash machine is blue & green
$400 in twenties and small silver _
I could spend $3.63 on diet coca cola
And unlit cigarettes
I wonder why we listen to poets
And nobody gives a thought
How hot & sorrowful
This machine begs for naught
All my lies are always wishes
I know I could die if I could come back new
I want a good life
With a nose for things
Fresh wind & bright sky
To enjoy my suffering
A hole without a key
If I break my tongue
Speakingof tomorrow
How will it ever come
Oh, all my lies are always wishes
I know I will die if I could come back new
I am down on my hands & knees
Every time the doorbell rings
I shake like a toothache
When I hear myself sing
Oh, my lies are only wishes
I know I will die if I could come back new
I would like to salute
The ashes of american flags
And all the fallen leaves
Filling up shopping bags

On The Prowl

Satan is every Believer’s enemy, forever stalking both you and me,
Like a roaring lion on the prowl, seeking Believers, any way or how,
Seeking all those, he may devour, both night and day, at any hour,
As an enemy he seeks to destroy, a Believer’s inner peace and joy.

So we truly need to be on guard, for when he attacks, he hits hard,
The devil may be subtle to begin, but the enemy seeks only to win,
Wanting only to destroy our life, to take our mind off Jesus Christ,
And all his tactics he will repeat, as he attempts a Believer’s defeat.

Though we have victory in our Lord, by the devil, we’re not ignored,
When as the deceptive adversary, Satan leads us to fret and worry,
Even in the life of the best of us, in an attempt to destroy our trust,
That in the God of our salvation, through Satan’s subtle temptation.

Still lying just as he did to Eve, today, to those who in God believe,
But this should not be a surprise, as Satan is truly the father of lies.
At all times desirous for us to fall, all Believers, both big and small,
As he sends into the Believer’s life, his fiery arrows of wicked strife.

Although he’s the master of deceit, Children of God he can’t defeat,
For Christ, Who in us does abide, is greater than he, on the outside,
As the Children of God’s Family, we’re sealed by His Spirit eternally,
And God’s Word, that we herald, can frustrate the god of this world.

Just When.......

Just when you thought you had reached the top
Just when you thought the end was near

Just when you hear that beating heart
The one that is always near

Just when you see the finishing line
In the corner of your eye

Just when you think it's time to meet
It's time to say goodbye

Just when you can call a truce
Just when you can let it loose

Just when you can understand
Just when will you hold my hand?

The castles blowing in the wind
The sand flows grain by grain

Just when will you realise
The shadow that's in pain

The shadow meaning you
The sand meaning me

If only you will let me help
I'm here for you
You'll see

A Grain Of Sand

Life is like a grain of sand;
it can slip through your fingers
at any time and be lost forever.
We must enjoy every minute
while we have it
in case that too
slips through our fingers.
Love is a fleeting thing
that passes all too quickly through our lives
unless we grasp it tightly
never letting it go.
Our lives are like a grain of sand
and will slip through our fingers
before we get to enjoy it thoroughly.

Secrets And Lies

How can you keep a secret
How can you keep a lie
How can you live with yourselves
knowing What they did

Are you all in a cult
or are you turning a blind eye
You know the secrets
That could save peoples lives
But instead you choose
to live a lie

I've seen good things
I've seen bad things
But i've never seen
a lie like this
How can anybody
turn a blind eye to this

Lies breed lies
Satan breeds the devil
But justice will one day
breed the truth

Effects of what Others Do

Don't you dislike those implications?
I know I use to.
Especially the ones made,
By those who owe their lives to you.
The ones who have lied to others...
Who now have everything surfacing,
To have people see them...
As the fools I knew.

Those are the ones who like to take credit,
For things they did not do.
And today they want to prove themselves,
By overcompensating their judgements passed.
Only to find themselves,
Trapped by lies and deceit believed...
Buried in their past.
To now see what they've done now being trashed.

And not by me!
By that reflection they see.

'What goes around comes around.'
My mother use to say.
And, 'God don't like ugly, boy.
So you don't be that way.
He knows what's going on.
You'll see that one day.'

And as I've aged and matured,
I see the effects left by what others do.
With the attempt made to ruin lives of others.
And I know if they could have their druthers,
They would wish their feelings now felt inside...
Would not cling to linger as truths they can not deny.

'There is a reason WHY for everything.'

And I...
Use to dislike those implications made.
But I must say today I realize as I empathize...
Those I had despised,
Ruined their own lives not mine.

I'm not the one sitting with wishes,
I had lived a more righteous life.
I am happy living the life God to me has given!
With a conscious free and glad I had listened.
And did not rush to revenge those judgements.

A Most Unusual Girl

My girlfriend is a phenomenon,
she has a power in her hand,
she's capable of changing things,
of which I don't understand.

She can bring life to the departed
but they are not as they were.
They become uncaring, cruel, and evil,
and throw verbal abuse at her.

I think they're plotting to harm her
as a thanks for what she's done.
But she laughs at any thought of this
and says she lives to help everyone.

But I think she naively underestimates
what these living corpses can do.
I see them when the sun goes down,
and they're not like me and you.

When she came home this evening,
I told her she was living a lie,
and now she's behaving very strangely,
and I believe I'm about to die.

A Grain Of Sand

If I hold a grain of sand
so tiny in my hand
it makes me sensitive and I understand
that is just like me.

For I am miniature on this earth
and yet I know my worth
and value how my granted birth
wants me to be free.

So I may wander with the flow
and like the sand just go
where the earthly tides do blow
so that I may see

that life is ever changing.
For it's rearranging
and always is exchanging
the scenes that come to me.

It creates new challenges I must face,
never allowing any space
to separate my warm embrace
from the grain of sand I see.

Unexplained

In darkness lay the secrets
In darkness lay the creatures
As darkness goes so does the lies
People go missing
Dead bodies found
No blood
Two holes
Life itself drained
And undead walk the living
Undead walk the night
Sun to strong
Night just right
Undead walk the night
Undead walk the living
More bodies found
No blood
Two holes
People grow cautious
Religion, Superstitious, Paranormal
All things questioned
All life questioned
People turn on each other
More bodies
No blood
Two holes
People flee
People run screaming
All that's left are the secrets
All that's left are the creatures
And the darkness that holds the lies

The Room That Was Locked

we talk about nothing last night
and for the past few nights about the room that was locked.
long time ago, even the mere mention of that room
they remember, the old folks always reminded us
of the penalties, for the mere use of words,
and there was fear and there was the suppressed silence
that eventually bothered each of those who thought about it,

except for one man, who one day, with all his anger,
got a bit piece of wood, the one left by the termites,
and hit the room that was always locked, and when its
door was broken, they all went it, to know what secret lies
inside the abandoned room that was forbidden.

to their aghast, there is nothing there.
except perhaps, the mere fear about its being forbidden.
