Langebaan
There was a day that the lagoon was blue
had a particular lovely hue
far across yellow-brown sandbars
while people were driving past in their cars
and it was shadowed dark
the sea where the sun shimmered had a kind of spark
while you smiled at me,
it was the kind of day which all days should be
with a strange kind of energy and some tranquillity
and we were in love, just another couple at the sea.

My Kind Of Woman - My Kind Of Man (feat. Patty Loveless)
You don't need diamonds or big fancy cars
You say you're happy right where you are
We're bound together by a little gold band
You're my kind of woman
Oh, you're my kind of man
Oh, living without you is my only fear
You still drive me crazy when I hold you near
My boudy trembles with the touch of your hand
You're my kind of woman
Oh, you're my kind of man
chorus:
You're my kind of woman
You're my kind of man
A match made in heaven
By God's gentle hands
I'll love you forever
Together we'll stand
You're my kind of woman
You're my kind of man
(repeat chorus)
You're my kind of woman
And you're my kind of man

Blind Love
Words and music by tom waits
Now youre gone
And its hotels and whiskey and sad luck days
And I dont care if they miss me
I never remember their names
They say if you get far enough away
Youll be on your way back home
Well Im at the station
And I cant get on the train
Must be blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
Oh blind love
Blind love
Stone blind love
Stone blind love
Well the streets turning blue
The dogs are barking and the night has come
And its tears that are falling
From these brown eyes now
And I wonder where you are
And I whisper your name
(I whisper your name)
And the only way to find you
Is if I close my eyes
And find you with my blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
Oh blind love
Blind love
Stone blind love
Stone blind love
Oh its blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
The only kind of love is stone blind love
Oh blind love
Blind love
Stone blind love

Love Of Another Kind
They say love is cruel
They say love is rather fragile
But Ive found in you
A love of another kind.
They say love brings hurt
I say love brings healing
Understanding first
Its a love of another kind.
(bridge)
The love I know
Is a love so few discover
They need to know
Jesus love is like no other.
They save love wont last
I say love is neverending
Cause in you I have
A love of another kind.
They would change their tune
They would add another measure
If they only knew
This love of another kind.
(repeat bridge)
(repeat verses)
Love of another kind
The love of another kind
The love of another kind
The love of another, the love of another kind.
Give me love
This is love (this is love)
Another kind, another kind of love.
This is love (this is love)
You need another kind of love
Another kind, another kind of love.
Another kind of love
This is love
Give me love
Another kind, another kind of love.

A Companionable Love Or 'Working It Out
The difference between them was palpable,
kind of off key like a strange smell,
they didn't quite gel.
She'd go her way, smooth and easy,
thoughtful and kind, straight,
and trusting.
He was a hard, edgy man, private, not shy,
with a sharp tongue __tough,
so you see the situation.
She tried to wring his neck once,
when they'd had a fight,
you'd never believe it!
Now they're this old couple,
timeless, mild, like peas in a pod
You'd never have guessed their past
and when they sit together
it's a companionable kind of love.

Some Kind Of Friend
Music by Barry Manilow
Lyrics by Adrienne Anderson
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw you at the Beechwood Cafe
You looked at me and then you looked away
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
You said you had places that you had to be
Now who is gonna be there for me
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Lady that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Baby that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
They say that women like you can't get enough
Got your Maserati built for two
They say that women like you like to play
with love
Is that true?
When I ran into you the other day
You smiled at me but you had nothing to say
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Tell me why'd you do what you did to me
Covered up your life so I couldn't see
Now that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Lady that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned to be
Baby that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
I never should have let you get to me
Nevershould have let you bring me down
Didn't know that I was just some fantasy
That you found.

When You Tell Me How Much You Do Love Me
How many days I saw your subtle grace
the lingering smile on your lovely face,
there is a kind of sweet innocence
but also charm and a confidence
and you bring an inner tranquillity
when you tell me how much you do love me.
Sometimes beautiful the day does begin
while loving you closely feels like a sin,
but our intense feelings we cannot ignore
while life changes from what it was before
and you bring an inner tranquillity
when you tell me how much you do love me.
The moment is eternal with each kiss
while we are caught in ecstasy, sheer bliss
and not the future or even times past
has significance while the feelings last
and you bring an inner tranquillity
when you tell me how much you do love me.

A Love Above Loves
When I think of you
I think of a certain kind of love
When I hear your name
I hear a certain kind of love
When I look at you
I see a certain kind of love
When I hold you
I hold a certain kind of love
When I kiss you
I kiss a certain kind of love
When I touch you
I touch a certain kind of love
When I fell in love with you
I fell in love with a certain kind of love
When I'm with you
I'm with a certain kind of love
When I'm wrapped up in you
I'm wrapped up in a certain kind of love
This certain kind of love
Is stronger than love
It is a transcended state
A love that can only be gifted from above
A love that is greater than any other love
This certain kind of love
Is strong and true
This certain kind of love
Makes two people stay true
This certain kind of love
Can never be extinguished
I believe that we have this kind of love
A love so true
Maybe not love at first sight
But I do believe that I was meant for you
Do you believe it too?
This certain kind of love
Is a love above loves
This certain kind of love
Is a true love
So true

What Is Love?
Love, what is it?
Is it an uncontrollable feeling, or is it some kind of game that your mind likes to play
Either way
I know what love is
I know what love is because I am in love
With the most lovely, gentle, kind hearted girl I have ever known
Shes like the moon
Always lit so people can find their way in the dark
I know what love is because,
This is the first time I have ever felt this way about anyone
She is truly amazing
She is one of a kind
She is my goddess
She is my inspiration
She is the best thing that has ever happened to me
This is how I know what love is
You too will know what love is when you find that special person
That you could never let go of

Not That Kind
All the time that we spend together
I won't fuss
I won't fight tryin to make you mine
Ha
Wooh
Ah c'mon
I said I'll love you 'til the 12th of never
But I won't run far ahead
Leaving you behind
You know I'm not that kind
'Cause I'm not that kind of girl
(Not that kind)
(Not that kind of girl)
And it's not my kind of world
(Not that kind)
(Not that kind of girl)
No it's not for me

Not That Kind Of Girl
Im not that kind of girl who thinks I can change the world
With just a simple twirl of my hair
Ill never break your heart, tear your soul apart
With just a simple spark from my stare
Wont go playing with your insides
Take your wallet for its big size
Wont be suckered in by those foolish games
1:
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Im not that of girl who think you can rule my world
With just a simple wave of your hand
So dont you push me down, or start to play around
Cause when you see me frown, just beware
Dont go playing with my insides
Tell me stories, tell me big lies
Wont be taken in by those silly games
Repeat 1
Come on, come on
Yo, tell me vc, what kind of girl are you?
Let me know
Im not the kind of girl to make you lose your mind
I wanna be the kind of girl youll never leave behind
Youre gonna take it, never fake it, you know youll see
That Im just the kind of girl I always wanted to be
Im not that kind of girl, Im not that kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl, I like that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl, I like all kinds of girls
I like your kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl

Strange Kind Of Love
(myles goodwyn)
Published by mfg sing sing music/socan - ascap
Mystery woman, you play at night
Under darkness, you make everything alright
You wave your magic, and Im in your spell
It may be trouble, but its too soon to tell
Ill go out the back door, if only I could
Baby, youve been up to no good
Its a strange kind of love (strange love), thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn
Its a strange love, but its feelin so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange kind of lovin, alright
Call me, what you will
Say I must be crazy, to be addicted to the thrill
Of a mystery woman, with eyes of fire
Feelin hopeless as the flames just grow higher
The other side of midnight, shadows dancing aglow
Its a place, where no man should go
Its a strange kind of love (strange love), thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn, yeah
Its a strange love, but it feels so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange kind of lovin, alright, strange kind of love
I dont need trouble, gettin in my way
I got this feelin, that I should turn and walk away
Youre an evil spirit, thats what you are
And Im afraid youre gonna take things too far
Youre tryin to tell me somethin babe, my minds in a haze
Excuse me, but I cant look away
Strange love, thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn
Its a strange love, but its feelin so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange love, but Im under your spell
Baby I just cant turn away
A strange love, ooh, but its feelin so right
Mabye I should leave here tonight
A strange kind of lovin, alright
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love, yeah
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love, baby
Youre a strange kind of love, yeah

Now That The Year Is Growing Kind Of Old (Envelope Couplet Sestets)
Now that the year is growing kind of old
when the true story of Jesus we are told,
we are living up to a day of giving
while daily we hear joyful birds singing
as when they did that child once behold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
our Christian faith we do at times uphold
while to others we bring some happiness
like messengers of God we try to bless,
sing happy songs on each friendly threshold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
while some live sheltered in a stronghold
in a world of chaos there is tranquillity,
when in God we find some serenity,
in our own lives we act cheerful and bold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
in our lives God’s blessings are manifold,
while merrily bells do jingle and chime,
we tell of loving that goes past all time,
we celebrate Christmas in each household,
now that the year is growing kind of old.

The Sea Is Lost In Your Eyes
The sea is lost in your eyes
and sometimes there is a kind of green
that shines right through the dark brown depths
in a secret kind of beauty,
something much deeper
than only the perception of pain
with some character shining in them
and sometimes I do continually wonder
what kind of thoughts do you think?

What Kind Of Love
Written by rodney crowell, will jennings, and roy orbison
Album: life is messy (rodney crowell)
Ill give you the best I can give you, baby
Thats all I can give
Well live it the best we can live it, baby
As long as we live
What kind of love never turns you down
What kind of love lifts you off the ground
Turns your life around
What kind of love makes you go out in the wind
And the driving rain
What kind of love runs through your heart with
A pleasure so close to pain
What kind of love
Only this love that I have
Ill show you the best I can show you, baby
Thats all I can show you
Ill know you the best I can know you baby
As long as I know you
What kind of love never turns away
What kind of love never makes you pay
Hears you when you pray
What kind of love makes you go out in the wind
And the driving rain
What kind of love runs through your heart with
A pleasure so close to pain
What kind of love
Only this love that I have
This love I know is all I have
This love I have is all I know
So I wont let go
What kind of love makes you go out in the wind
And the driving rain
What kind of love runs through your heart with
A pleasure so close to pain
What kind of love only this love that I have
What kind of love only this love that I have

It's Kind of Funny
It's kind of funny how those who want life get it taken away,
while those who loathe it wander around.
Almost as if a waste.
It's kind of funny how those who try to do right get it spit back in their face.
The bad walk among us as if to be common people.
They, they get your respect.
It's kind of funny the people you love, they're usually the fall of you.
They say they're there for you but always somehow make you feel worthless.
It's kind of funny how everything can end so fast.
Everything can just disappear.
It's kind of funny how I wish I never met you.
I wish I could tell you.
I wish we could be.
And I wish that everything wasn't so funny and that everything could be what it is.
It's kind of funny how me and you,
we don't matter.
What I say and do will always be funny to you.
It's no longer funny.

what kind of friend that is there for u Always
what kind of friend thats has a picture of you in his heart
what kind of friend thats turns your face upside down when your sad
what kind of friend that takes off his mask in front of others
what kind of friend that wants you till the end
what kind of friend that wipe your tears and be a shoulder to cry on

A Groovy Kind Of Love
Featured on the soundtrack of buster, 1988
When Im feeling blue, all I have to do
Is take a look at you, then Im not so blue
When youre close to me, I can feel your heart beat
I can hear you breathing near my ear
Wouldnt you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love
Anytime you want to you can turn me onto
Anything you want to, anytime at all
When I kiss your lips, ooh I start to shiver
Cant control the quivering inside
Wouldnt you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love, oh
When Im feeling blue, all I have to do
Is take a look at you, then Im not so blue
When Im in your arms, nothing seems to matter
My whole world could shatter, I dont care
Wouldnt you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love, oh
We got a groovy kind of love
