It’s in the grey land

It’s in the grey land
that I am caught like in a labyrinth
and while life passes by

I am looking for direction, for a place
to come out of the marsh

and everywhere around me
there are flowers growing in the swamp,

rain showers down like kettledrums
and thunderbolt after thunderbolt falls nearer and nearer to me

and I am searching for a star, a light
or even steadiness

when I realise that You are with me everywhere
and know of everything that happens,

that You rather rescue, love and help
than being bent on measuring out damnation

and that You bring answers
when it seems impossible

and it is then that I see Your Southern Cross
which leads me out
from where I was blinded by city lights.

Thunderbolt

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt staying bold.

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

You may decide to run and hide.
But I've learned throughout my life...
Those who run let life slip by,
And cry in denial.
Setting themselves up...
For struggles and trials.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
And with a boldness I still hold.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!
I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

There were no shoulders with warm holds.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.

I might have been precocious!
But not braggadocious.

I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

Nearer my God to Thee

Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee
E'en though it be a cross
That raiseth me,
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee.

Tho' like a wanderer,
The sun gone down,
Darkness be over me,
My rest a stone,
Yet in my dreams I'll be
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee.

There let the way appear,
Steps unto heaven;
All that Thou sendest me
In mercy be given,
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee.

Then with my waking thoughts
Bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs
Bethel I'll raise;
So by my woes to be
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee.

Or if, on joyful wing
Cleavihg the sky,
Sun, moon, and stars forgot,
Upward I fly,
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee.

In my thoughts I walk the route

In my thoughts
I walk the route
that leads to your heart, to your love

that place that you have got for me
that loosens my humanity
and make me larger than myself

and thought struck
I put my feet down easier
and walk below the golden moon
and it’s as if I am going
nearer and still nearer
to you

and somewhere
the place lies
where your eyes
shines golden like suns.

The Marsh Land

The nearer I come to the wild marsh land
the more I hear red-knobbed coots carolling
where a swarm of tiny weavers twitter,
rocking and balancing on the long reeds,
cheerfully the meandering stream jabbers
while it shines in the bright morning light
next to the big old hanging willow tree,
where a symphony of nature resounds.

Marsh bulrushes rocks plumed in the wind
that blows softly through the bushes of sprouts,
somewhat blinded by the natural beauty
I wander like a child through all the reeds,
drops of water jet when wild ducks fly up,
with rushes suddenly rocking up and down.

A Cross Amidst Thorns

A stream flows in a swamp
Rain falls on a barren ground
A saint in a lion’s den.
A dove amongst owls…
There’s a cross amidst thorns.

Innocence dwells with guilt
Hope lingers in a despairing people
Life struggles with the grave.
Love unmasks into hatred…
There’s a cross amidst thorns.

Peace competes with the wrathful hand of anarchy
Conscience fights with corruption
The truth passes along with deception
Righteousness boasts with evil
There’s a cross amidst thorns

There’s a cross amidst thorns
Hope radiates from despair
Light reigns above darkness
Faith conquers fear
There’s a cross amidst thorns

This winter

The air is grey
and the cold bites with the rain
and this morning, there’s fog folding around me

I am goalless and empty without you
and I do not know what your words mean,
but you have no place for me and my life is grey.

The sadness falls
like a cloak over me,
while goallessness folds around me.

My cheeks are wet and there are drops that stick to it
and its not rain and it is wet from weeping
and I do not know where to find light in the greyness.

Everything is dark and I wonder what my future holds
and your heart is made of rock,
while pain and blackness falls around me.

I am searching for a heaven that hangs sapphire blue
in the future over our lives and like the Lords blessings,
comes right through the darkness and meaningless grey
and fold open like a new morning.

In this summer

In this summer I am here
With the kissing hugging
With drying suffocating
With the holy grass
Waiting the rain to pass.

I am on this land of my dream
I am on this land of thunderbolt life.
My eyes opened and the rain not here
My horse is ready to have a race
But it is the summer with ugly face
Not in a position to grace.

Beneath the Southern Cross

Beneath the Southern Cross
are two pointers that catch my eyes
and I wonder to where
their direction is taking me,
while the whole world
with time is estranging around me.

The Southern Cross is bright
against the dark sky
and I am trying to find direction
and see a bright light winking,
past and through the darkness
and this light draws me
like the wise men
that it lead to the child.

Call To The Real Beloved

O Beloved, do You think that I can forget You at all?
Help me realise The Love which attracts You by call.
You are the only one that I have always longed for!
Help me please get across to the land of Your Shore.

Separation is a mighty ocean of many burning desires
Help me cross over and not be consumed by their fires.
Take me by the hand if necessary don't let me go astray
Help me get to that place where I'll be with You all day.

Life is really very short there is not all that much time
Help me find You without committing any more crime.
You are so compassionate towards us and can wipe our slate clean
Help me at least get a glimpse of You like all the others have seen.

We are all Thy children and often call to You when in need
Help us all ask for that which will bring You closer indeed.
Thy Divine Love and Grace awakens Your presence in our heart
Help us all experience that Love where we are never really apart.

All the people of this world are searching everywhere for love
Help them realise and achieve that which is a gift from above.
Once everyone gets a taste of It they will then know for sure!
Help us so that we can find what is really worth looking for.

City Lights

Dont these city lights
Light these streets to life
Dont these crazy nights
Bring us together
Any rainy day
You can dance those blues away
Dont these city lights
Bring us together
Charlie chaplins cane
Well it flicked away the rain
Things werent quite the same
After he came here
But then when he left
Upon our own request
Things werent quite the same
After he came here
Dont these city lights
Bring the streets to life
Dont these crazy nights
Bring us together
Any rainy day
You can dance those blues away
Dont these city lights
Bring us together
Were supposed to be
A land of liberty
And those city lights
To blaze forever
But that little tramp
Leaning on that street corner lamp
When he left us
His humor left forever
Were supposed to be
A land of liberty
And those city lights
To blaze forever
But that little tramp
Leaning on that street corner lamp
When he left us
His humor left us forever, ever
Dont these city lights
Bring the streets to life
Dont these crazy nights
Bring us together
Any rainy day
You can dance those blues away
Dont these city lights
Bring us together
Together

If I build my life out of magical nights

If I build my life
out of magical nights
my room becomes a castle
where you and I share our dreams.

In the background there are violins
playing in a string orchestra
and the sound
that falls over us trembling
lies soft in our own small universe.

I see stars in your eyes
and maybe it’s Orion
or the sun up above
and at dusk the moon hangs
as if caught in its own orbit.

There’s a pearl around your neck
that’s whiter than snow,
but your rosebuds bloom
before my lips reach them.

Outside the rain falls buzzing
against the window,
but we are lock off from every thing

and I hear you moan in ecstasy
while a thunderbolt rumbles far away
and your are soft and hot around me
and forever I can stay like this.

In The Distance Lightning Is Falling

In the distance lightning is falling
while you lie close to me
and on the wind
blowing into the room
I can smell the rain
and see in the distance
how the flashing light looks pure white
but we have tranquillity,
where in you maybe a new person is originating
while the storm sneaks nearer and nearer,
bringing new life to the dried out yellow grass.

April Rain

The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shaw and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again.

The April sun, the April sun,
Glints through the rain in fitful splendour,
And in grey shaw and woodland dun
The little leaves spring forth and tender
Their infant hands, yet weak and slender,
For warmth towards the April sun,
One after one.

And between shower and shine hath birth
The rainbow's evanescent glory;
Heaven's light that breaks on mists of earth!
Frail symbol of our human story,
It flowers through showers where, looming hoary,
The rain-clouds flash with April mirth,
Like Life on earth.

Emily Dickinson

He fumbles at your spirit

He fumbles at your spirit
As players at the keys
Before they drop full music on;
He stuns you by degrees,

Prepares your brittle substance
For the ethereal blow,
By fainter hammers, further heard,
Then nearer, then so slow

Your breath has time to straighten,
Your brain to bubble cool, --
Deals one imperial thunderbolt
That scalps your naked soul.

Summertime Rain

There is nothing as refreshing
As a sweet summertime rain
After the cooling showers
Nothing is ever quite the same

Because nutrients fill the moisture
For flowers and crops as well
You can almost see them grow
After a summer downpour fell

The seeds sprout so much quicker
Flowers grow tall so very fast
Rain gives everything a boost
And of course it doesn’t last

Then the sun comes streaming out
And flowers lift their little heads
Color comes popping out as well
Yellows, oranges, blues and reds

Oh yes, there’s nothing like it
To get a summer growing spurt
Yes, bring on those summer showers
And sun afterwards wouldn’t hurt!

You May Obey it

It is in your mouth and in your heart,
It is near to you that you may obey it;
But who will cross ovcer the seas and bring me to you?
For my love is not beyond your level,
But it is beyond the seas! !

I am nearer to you always in spirit but,
You will always feel me around you when you do think of me;
So respond to my love and respond to my heart,
For my words are in your mouth and i am always nearer to you in spirit!

Souls

It all started here, she was a girl form the midwest
He was a stranger in a strange land
Same old story
He came for the glory
She came looking for a young mans hand
But they found bright lights
And endless nights
And men just used her innocent ways
He found it all so pretty, hypnotized by the city
They lost sight of the reason
They lost count of the days
And they were two souls searching for each other
One spirit looking for the other
Caught between a hard hard place and a rock
Two souls searching for heaven
Rolling the dice looking for a seven
To the tick, tick, ticking of time
Gotta beat the clock
Too many nights on the ledge
He acquired a knife-edge
Still the city didnt acquiesce to his demands
Some nights she cried for pity in the heart of the city
The city smacked her hands
He met her one endless night
Her eyes had a light
There was something familiar about the smell of her skin
He held her tighter and tighter
As he danced inside her
She knew from the moment that she let him in
Theyd been two souls searching for each other
One spirit looking for the other
Caught between a hard hard place and a rock
Two souls searching for heaven
Rolling the dice looking for a seven
To the tick, tick, ticking of time
Gotta beat the clock
Beat the clock
Beat the clock
Beat the clock
Two souls searching for each other
One spirit looking for the other
Caught between a hard hard place and a rock
Two souls searching for heaven
Rolling the dice looking for a seven
To the tick, tick, ticking of time
Gotta beat the clock

They lost their way

A beggar is nearer to God
than a Monk, ego-less.
A bonded one is nearer to God
than a master, being not possessive..
A child is nearer to God
than an erudite, unprejudiced.
The so called ones lost their way to God.
