I saw children
I saw children
smoking Marijuana
and taking crack cocaine
and injecting heroine
and the government
opened the borders
and more criminals
streamed in
from all over Africa
and the law
looked the other way.
I saw children
smoking Marijuana
and taking crack cocaine
and injecting heroine
and they did not want to be helped
and escaped from rehabilitation
and made as if they were cured
and they robbed
and broke in to houses
and whored
and lied
and some died.

Crying against the wind
I
I saw boys growing up as
Christians,
learning about God,
being taught at school,
to respect
about discipline,
to stretch the mind
and the boys were young and innocent
and for us there were peace.
We slept with unlocked doors,
the police did their job
to the best of their ability,
but the world changed.
II
I saw the effects
of the terrorist bomb
in church street
that smote the innocent
people in the street
and young and old
men, women
scarred, mutilated, maimed,
and cut into bits and pieces
by shrapnel and the deadly
rain of flying glass.
I saw an academic hospital
filled in every hall,
and the few doctors
and paramedics and sisters and nurses
and accountants, clerks,
and office people
issuing disaster cards
and admitting the living.
III
I saw young boys forced to become
a part of a deadly war machine,
and they were barbered, drilled, cursed
and trained to be the best soldiers,
learning discipline,
the strength found in oneself,
about friendship
and suffering the consequences
of killing humans beings.
I saw young men
playing Russian roulette
and at times
wishing to be dead
and I saw boys
becoming better persons
than they were
and starting to be
true believers
of the almighty One
and others turning
into the worst
kind of human beings
and losing all religion,
Integrity and decency
and the madness of hate
taking its toll
I saw boys going
through dense bush,
living in the field,
tracking and destroying deadly terrorists
as just another day’s work,
driving armed vehicles
and battle tanks,
fighting against great odds
and winning every battle
and the war.
I saw war,
the destruction,
the desolation that it brings,
the suffering of the innocent,
the savage carnage
and dead enemies
in great numbers
and people with shot off
legs and arms.
I saw friends die,
shot to pieces,
toasted by prosperous projectiles,
smashed by mortars
and killed
in most of the ways that war brings
and politicians lying and deposing
each other
and the world changed.
IV
I saw religious fanatics
killing innocent people,
crashing planes into buildings,
getting the war
that they begged for,
dying the death
which they sought
and innocent bystanders
paying the toll
for their deeds
and the world changed.
V
I saw the borders being thrown open
to all of Africa,
criminals streaming in,
selling drugs, running prostitution,
lost two cars
to robbers that the insurance
did not pay
and my best friend
left the country
after a hijacking.
I saw children
smoking marijuana, doing crack cocaine,
injecting themselves with heroine
living like vagrants,
whoring around,
robbing from their parents,
braking into houses,
escaping from rehabilitation,
going to jail,
losing the reasons to live,
desperately trying to get the next fix
and dying from drugs and Aids.
VI
I saw reverse racism
that changed laws,
discrimination,
white people with degrees
and experience without work,
while untrained black people
brought every government department
but the taxman
almost to a standstill
and foreign black aliens from all over Africa
having greater rights
and electricity being cut
and the country was in darkness
and the people lived in poverty
and tatters
while they thought about what they had lost
and nobody was counting the cost
and the oppressed were crying in vain
against the wind
and waiting for the rain
that brings life back again.

Cocaine
If you want to go out
You've got to take her out, cocaine
And if you want to get down
Down on the ground, cocaine
She don't lie
She don't lie
She don't lie, cocaine
Well if you've had bad news
You want to kick your blues, cocaine
And if your day is done
But you just got to run on, cocaine
She don't lie
She don't lie
She don't lie, cocaine
Feeling is gone but you just
Got to ride on, cocaine
But don't forget this fact
You just can't get it back, cocaine
She don't lie
She don't lie
She don't lie, cocaine
She don't lie
She don't lie
She don't lie, cocaine

Yo yo yo, yo, yo yo what

Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Damn, I really wish I could find my sack man
Must have got eaten by pac-man
If I had it I could smoke again
Smoke with my friends to the very end
But now Im trying to comprehend
Whens the next time that Ill smoke again
I need to know, please tell when will we smoke again
I got a buddy, his name is ted
Hes got a problem going through his head
He doesnt know how to puff puff give
But I like so Ill teach him and Ill let him live
Everyday we teach him right
When he divides, we have to fight
But at the end of the trying day
We says its ok and we puff away
Just the other night, I saw you, you were smokin not sharing and being tight
But thats ok, you are my friend, well smoking until the very end
The lessons that we put out, we order you to try it out
Its nice to smoke, yea thats what were all about
Smoking
Were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Hey, ho, hey ho, hey, ho, hey, ho, hey, ho, hey, ho
I smoke, you smoke, we smoke, they smoke, smoking everywhere
I smoke, you smoke, we smoke, they smoke, smoking all together
Smoking
Were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again
Were smoking, were smoking, were smoking the herb again

Drug dealers
In flashy cars they came,
merchants of a deadly thing
some delivering, some advertising
as if they had captured
the true essence of life
streaming in from all over
the continent, as news
of their prosperity went
to the ends of Africa
and unafraid of the law
controlled women on the street
always eager to meet
one more, trying to create
the ultimate gangster’s paradise.
At clubs they danced, bedazzled little girls
and boys, coming with very clever ploys
even at schools everywhere were ensnaring
children to buy their wares
and some even were addicted
to their own poison
smoking, sniffing, taking
and injecting
the catalyst of death.
Under their disguises and lies
about eternal fun not even one
could hide
the filth of the moor
could really get the goblin
and the marsh and bush out of them
and the wicked merchantmen
made every city their haunted glen.

Cocaine Blues
Everytime my baby and me go up town
police come and they knock me down
Cocaine all around my brain
Hey baby, better come here quick.
This old cocaine is making me sick.
Cocaine all around my brain.
Yonder comes by baby, she's dressed in red
She's got a shot-gun, says she's gonna kill me dead.
Cocaine all around my brain
Hey baby, better come here quick.
This old cocaine is making me sick.
Cocaine all around my brain.
Early one morning, half past four
cocaine came knockin' on my door.
Cocaine all around my brain
Hey baby, you better come here quick.
This old cocaine is making me sick.
Cocaine all around my brain.
Cocaine's for horses and it's not for men
Doctor said it kill you, but he don't say when.
Cocaine all around my brain.
Hey baby, you better come here quick.
This old cocaine is making me sick.
Cocaine all around my brain.

I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say that God is wrong?

Who am I
Marijuana, marijuana
I am natural
But they do not
Want me to exist
For that i resist
Universally they know me
Psychologically i set the people free
But evil people do not like me
I have stabilized many emotion
I have encouraged and
Given many inspiration
With me comes deeper meditation
I will take you from the dust
And place you higher
What do you want
Intelligence or power
Seek me, respect me
And use me
Marijuana, marijuana

Dead In The Wombs
those same children
who died in the waters
that swallowed Atlantis....
those same children,
starving 'neath Africa's sun....
dead from the bombings
in Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon Iran....
their bodies thrown into dumpsters
here in the United States....
dead on the borders,
dead in the oil filled waters,
dead on the cocaine streets,
dead in the prisons...
dead in the colleges,
dead in the unemployment lines....
dead on the picket lines,
dead, handcuffed, and beaten....
dying, and dead, world crazy spinning...
as the 'light of the world'
sputters, and goes out....
dead in the wombs of the
homeless, hopeless, and forgotten...
dead by our hands!

Cocaine
You take sally and Ill take sue
Their aint no difference between the two
Cocaine, running all round my brain
Headin down scott, turnin up main
Looking for that girl that sells cocaine
Cocaine, runnin all round my brain
Late last night about a quarter past four
Ladanyi come knockin down my hotel room door
Wheres the cocaine--
Its runnin all round my brain
I was talking to my doctor down at the hospital
He said, son, it says here youre twenty-seven,
But thats impossible
Cocaine-- you look like you could be forty-five
Now Im losing touch with reality and Im almost out of blow
Its such a fine line-- I hate to see it go
Cocaine, runnin all round my brain

I wasn't driving down the wrong side of the street, smoking marijuana, waving my gun out the window.
Girl
Girl, girl, girl
Thats your life
Girl
Smoking that glass pipe
I come from the city of dope
It couldnt be saved by john the pope
Coz the base head lyric sees the light
Two fat raps to the head last night
Cocaine cocaine, is that your rap
Every day and night its coming back
C-o-c-a-i-n-e
The rich mans high what it used to be
But things looking different in eighty-five
Cocaine, cocaine is that your high
Since age thirteen what have I seen
A lotto of base heads straight coke fiends
Snorting, puffing, thats the life
But its all over when you hit that pipe
Big coke dealers on the knock
All smoked up with no more rocks
Base heads buy, coke from him
But he smokes more than all of them
The big coke man, aint too cool
He smokes more than all you fools
Hes gotta a lotta do, but not a lotta bank
A brand new car with an empty tank
Pretty white smoke all in his chest
And a 84 benz, reposessed
Girl, thats your life
Girl smoking that glass pipe
Fresh young tender only fifteen
Walking on a strip just wanna be seen
Never touch coke a day in her life
But now that girls gotta have her pipe
Coz she met a man his name was jock
Do it to her a good and he smoked a rock
Put it in her joint all crunched up
And now everyday she takes a puff
Girl, thats your life
Girl smoking that glass pipe
I know you know what coke can do
Come into your life and take over you
Now you kicking back thinking bout your dream
But it never comes true coz youre just a coke fiend
You asked your woman whats the prob
She said its you coz you dont do your job
Used to make good love from the start
But now coke had done damage to your private parts
Girl, thats your life
Girl smoking that glass pipe
Your mind is gone your brain is blazed
Youve been wide awake for the last three days
Inhale, exhale you dont care
Coke smoke only no fresh air
You cant even talk you dont wanna listen
You and your body on that cocaine mission
Three days straight wheres your mind
Its gonna out of town and your brain is fried
Just smoke and choke until youre broke
Just smoke that coke until you croke
And it would be, I cant lie
No great loss if you should die
Coz your life is wrecked, you girl is checked
She chose on my and I was set
I took her home to make my move
But she wanted to base she was just like you

The Heroine
The heroine stood up on the deck
The ship was out of control
The bow was being ripped to shreds
Men were fighting down below
The sea had pummeled the boat for so long
That they knew nothing but fear
And the babys in the box
He thinks the door is locked
The sea is in a state
The baby learns to wait for the heroine
Ohh, ohh, for the heroine
Locked in his defense, he waits for the heroine
The mast is cracking as he waves are slapping
Sailors roll across the deck
And when they thought none was looking
They would cut a weaker mans neck
While the heroine dressed in a virgin white dress
Tried to steer the mighty ship
But the raging storm wouldnt hear of it
They were in for a long trip
Babys in the box
He thinks the door is locked
He finds it hard to breathe
Drawing in the sea
And wheres the heroine to fire off the gun
To calm the raging seas
And let herself be seized, by the -
- baby in the box
The thinks the door is locked
The woman has the keys
But there is no moment she can seize
Heres to the heroine
Who transcends all the men
Who are locked inside the box
Will the lady let them out
Ohh, the heroine, ooohh, ooohhh, the heroine
Strapped to the mast, the pale ascendant heroine
Strapped to the mast, the pale ascendant heroine

Flight from Reality
Alcohol, wine bottles
Hash, pot, marijuana
Cocaine, coke, cracks
Amphetamines, hallucinogens
Ecstasy, doping pills
And others to sniff and inhale.
These and more are accessories
To the flight to the dazzling unknown
And yet making the passengers
Very difficult to safely return home.

Searching For That Little Girl
As I looked - she was walking away
Not a word did she say.
There was no -” I’m sorry for doing you wrong”.
But that drug impulse was mighty strong.
I was having withdrawal pains
And of that I’m not ashamed.
You said to a rehab you would go
But that day you didn’t show.
The drugs may ease the pain
But your life will never be the same.
You started off smoking grass
But that high didn’t last.
Next you started snorting cocaine
And after a while that was lame.
Then you decided to go to crack
And after that there was no turning back.
You started stealing from family and friends
This was the beginning - there was no end.
Now you’re selling your body on the street
Just so you could get that treat.
Did you ever say to yourself as a child
“ I want to be a junkie_ that’s my style”.
You dreamt of satin and lace
And walking with purpose - and with grace.
Look for that child that’s buried in your mind
“ you can do it, it just takes time”.
Don’t do it for me or for family
Do it for that little girl who is
Wandering in your mind
She will be with you till the end of time.

My Heroine Mom!
Yes! She is my heroine mom
She is my heroine mom.
Who led me through the right path
whenever i went wrong.
Who advised me in a motherly way
whenever i went wrong.
Who offered me a hand
whenever i fell down.
Who filled courage within me
whenever i felt down.
Who told me to be spontaneous
whenever i felt sheepish.
Who patted on my shoulders
whenever i felt docile.
Who told me to face problems
whenever it stood on my way.
Who told me to accept problems with a beam
whenever it blocked my way.
Yes! She is my heroine mom
She is my heroine mom.

Dancing Barefoot
She is benediction
She is addicted to he
She is the root connection and
She is connecting with me
Here I go and I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Could it be he's taking over me
I'm dancing barefoot
Headed for a spin
Some strange music drags me in
It makes me come up like some heroine
She is sublimation
She is the essence of thee
She is concentrating on
He who is chosen by she
Here I go when I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Could it be he's taking over me
I'm dancing barefoot
Headed for a spin
Some strange strange music drags me in
It makes me come up like some heroine
She is recreation
She intoxicated by thee
She has the slow sensation that
He is levitating with she
Here I go when I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
'Til I lose my sense of gravity
I'm dancing barefoot
Heading for a spin
Some strange music drives me on
Makes me come up like some heroine
Oh God I feel for you
Oh God I feel for you
Oh God I feel for you
Oh God I feel for you

Stacked With Crack
He was doing 60 in a 20 mile zone
You could see this man was stoned.
When he stopped at the light his eyes were red
He looked as if he was dead.
He was laughing so hard he could not stop
And out came the smoke and the smell of pot.
It’s a shame that they can’t see
The things they do that can hurt you or me.
A child was getting ready to cross the street
A school guard was there at his beat.
He took off like a bat out of hell
He hit the child and then she fell.
He took off and did not look around
And there laid the child on the ground.
They say he got three blocks away
Crashed and died that day.
The child went to the hospital
with scratches and bruises
But his family was the ones that were losing.
They lost their son on that tragic day
Because smoking pot got in the way.
The joint they sold him was laced with crack
The odds against him was fully stacked.
They never found out who sold it to him that day
But with crack, you do not play.
