Do not accept
Do not accept life in a changed country
it’s far better to linger in distant days,
to stuck to the old ways
where respect, dignity and integrity
did not blossom from
the barrel of a gun
when there was peace for everyone
and refuse to surrender
to robbers who invade
your home, you privacy,
to hijackers who take your car,
maybe your life,
to alien foreigners
who stream in from all over Africa.

Do Not Accept
Do not accept these rains that come too late.
Better to linger. Make your pain
An image of the desert. Say it's said
And do not look to the west. Refuse
To surrender. Try this year too
To live alone in the long summer,
Eat your drying bread, refrain
From tears. And do not learn from
Experience. Take as an example my youth,
My return late at night, what has been written
In the rain of yesteryear. It makes no difference
Now. See your events as my events.
Everything will be as before: Abraham will again
Be Abram. Sarah will be Sarai.

Not Now Of Your Choosing
You can't accept my life is mine
And that those with whom i spend my time
Are now not of your choosing.
You can't accept that different ways
And different ways of spending days
Are not now of your choosing.
You can't accept its not a war
Not like it was those times before
And no-one now is losing.

Dignity Demands...
dignity demands...
i be who i am,
i stand for what i am,
and i do so with respect!
dignity demands...
i see others for who they are,
that i accept them for who they are,
and do so with respect!
dignity demands...
that i live freedom and equality,
bound by no man nor creed,
and that i live with respect.
dignity demands...
that i do this job,
of living and giving well...
knowing respect brings respect!
dignity demands...

Sunshine Africa
Hatred is the main cause of death and,
Love is the true act of peace;
But i am living in Africa where the sun shines and,
I want to reachout to the whole world with my muse.
Not only in my hometown but,
Beyond the peoples of the world;
Not only with my own people,
But also to expose the true love of Sunshine Africa;
For in this life, many are called but few are chosen.
I am from Africa where the sun shines,
But my mind is like the narrow path in your homes;
Because everybody want the gold than the bronze.
So is life, when we all compete to win;
But hatred is the main cause of death and,
Love is the true act of peace.
The pillars of hatred is around me but,
I will overcome it with the chambers of my past experiences;
And as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.
Sunshine Africa,
Try to visit the realms of love with me;
Home is home but,
When the home doesn't give you respect you leave it.
Sunshine Africa,
Try to take it along with you;
And let the birds sing with you in any land that you find yourself.
Sunshine Africa,
Let the animals meet you in peace;
For they are part of Africa with love and care.

Refuse!
i refuse
to accept the lie
anymore!
i know, beyond a doubt,
that all people are equal,
regardless of color, gender,
religion, financial status, or
political beliefs!
i refuse to believe
that i am all right,
when someone else
is hungry, homeless, or hurting.
i refuse to believe
that i am not responsible,
for i am most responsible
when i turn away!
i refuse to believe
that one person's success
can come at the expense of another!
i refuse to settle!
i choose life, and life means living...
involved!

How is possible that dreams here are broken? (in answer to fanie olivier)
How is possible that dreams here are broken,
with life suddenly becoming threatening
with black criminals attacking, sneaking in at doors
and every home is barred like a fortress?
From every alleyway a drug peddler peeps out
or there’s a street whore
that patrols up and down at the corner
and I am just another white Afrikaner
that see my country is falling apart,
I hear shots being fired at the child’s school
where car hijackers suddenly strike
and numerous crimes are being committed
and no crying bird have got to warn me
about the new upside-down existence,
that every strange black man may be a criminal or terrorist
while jobless I worry about bread for my table
and it’s no war zone or the border that I am visiting
but raping robbers strike at the home on the corner
where the police later ineptly
gather with numerous cars.

Return To Him
We live in a cold country indeed; a country that has a spiritual need,
A spiritually cold country for sure; a nation walking far from the Lord.
In the Scriptures we have been told, the love of most will grow cold,
This was spoken by Jesus Christ, who knows the heart of every life.
Many attitudes today are wrought, by the things they’ve been taught,
By distorted facts they’ve received, from men who are also deceived.
Seeding lies within a child’s heart, leading them astray from the start,
Helping a little heart to be cold, which only worsens as they grow old.
It seems like foreigners in the land, regarding God, better understand,
The need for God within every man; actually more than we try or can.
So it is here from shore to shore, that many men don’t need The Lord.
For many here don’t appreciate, The Lord above, who made us great.
Many have no desire in our nation, to humbly accept God’s Salvation,
Ignoring the fact of men’s prosperity, is all due to The God of Eternity.
Citizens across this land we trod, are often hostile to the Word of God,
While foreigners listen to God’s Truth, without an argument or reproof.
But they’re both in need of the same, an acceptance of the only name,
The name of Eternal God’s only Son; the Christ who died for everyone.
For all foreigners need Jesus Christ, to enter Heaven and Eternal Life,
And we need to turn away from our sin, and as a nation return to Him.
Sonnet: Just Accept God
If God is trying to make pure my soul
Through troubles fresh that crop up every day,
Why should I not with grace accept His role,
And meet the challenges that come my way?
If God is planning new ways to heal
The wounds of soul that sins leave in their wake,
Why should I not accept my new ordeal,
And suffer humbly for my own/ God’s sakes?
If God is seeking to improve my ways,
Most mysteriously, tho’ I can’t say why,
Why should I not better my earthly days,
And listen to the words from One most high?
If God does things all strangely, I must try
To accept humbly and not ask Him why!

You Will Know When It Has Been Discovered
I can not award you confirmation...
Of who it is you are.
With an identity felt.
Connected to an adjoining dignity.
I've never had the experience,
Of living with such emptiness inside of me.
I've been blessed to know who it is I am.
With a testing that is done daily,
By those who refuse to accept...
Nothing I do that appears on the surface,
Is not without its depth!
I can not award you confirmation...
Of who it is you are.
With an identity felt.
Connected to an adjoining dignity.
That you will have to determine for yourself.
And you will know when it has been discovered.
When few will accept,
The strength reflected you project.

Accept It
Life is hard.
Accept it.
Momentary pleasures
Come and go…
Accept it.
Death evades you
When you need it the most.
Accept it.
Thoughts of death
Come and go…
Accept it.

People respect
If you have the self-respect

You must have to shun the negative entity!

Accept my sympathy
In all sincerity
It is a pathetic pity
I merely offer sympathy
With such velocity
This sadness born out of the blue
That decides to levy itself on you
In your fixed stillness
I sense your illness
Accept my sympathy
You lost a pet
Somebody made you upset
Accept my sympathy
You lost a friend
Your broken heart is yet to mend
Accept my sympathy
You were once abused
Possibly at times wrongly accused
Accept my sympathy
You marriage is on the rocks
You got divorced, left without a buck
Accept my sympathy
You lost a fortune
Your voice can't sing a decent tune
Accept my sympathy
You lost in love or lost your job
Or perhaps at one stage got robbed
Accept my sympathy
Your life is a mess
Everything around you depresses
Whatever the circumstances
Accept my sympathy
And if I happen to show no sympathy
Please accept my sympathy!

In God’s Ways
We can know The Lord’s Ways, upon a path paved by Grace,
One that takes us to the place, where we accept God by faith,
As He lifts a veil from our face, the Truth of God we embrace,
Truth for all of the human race, revealed to us to God’s praise.
This grace takes all as they are, as fallen sinners near and far,
Right to the Cross of Calvary, where grace opens eyes to see,
Their need to embrace the Cross, as fallen men spiritually lost,
And to accept The Savior’s Love, to be cleansed in His Blood.
This is only where men start, as sinners with a change of heart,
When we believe in Christ Jesus, new direction, He gives to us,
Redirecting each heart and mind, to leave our old ways behind,
As we begin to follow Jesus Christ, in what becomes a new life.
In His Ways we learn to live, through the Spirit, God would give,
Through His Word we are lead, when with God, we move ahead,
Parting from the dark of night, we begin to live in Christ’s Light,
As we surrender to Jesus Christ, His Spirit helps us live our life.
We find God’s Ways we can trust, as our Lord takes care of us,
Sustaining us through all our days, while we live in God’s Ways,
Living our life on the narrow way, He helps us to grow each day,
As God helps us in all our ways, so we lift up to God our praise.

An elegy for South Africa
Weep South Africa
as you are no longer my country
and I live here
as if I am
from another planet
as part of a small minority
in a country where dark Africa
declares murderers as heroes
and act like barbarians
and dance and scream.
At a time the orange, white and blue
streamed proud over you
and people at work,
school to parliament
bended their knees to God
who was their supreme leader
right through hordes
at blood river,
the onslaught of the British Empire
and with God on our side
we would quarter
for nobody and nothing.
Our own culture flowered,
children went through schools
right through university
to distinguish themselves
and you could even leave the doors unlocked,
could make a living somewhere,
the police were a servant and a friend
and we under our own rule.
How many times our ancestors
tried to teach other people of God,
distributed medicine and food
and we even faced
the communists and Cubans in Angola,
till on a day a man
for the wide world a hero,
out of our own ranks betrayed his brothers
and he laid the whole country lame
and didn’t sell it out,
but rather gave it away.
Today incompetents are everywhere in control
of state departments
right through into the parliament,
money is squandered,
a whole generation
through their own choosing
did not receive any school education,
whites are affirmed and impoverished by the law
and criminals and foreigners stream in
from all over Africa
to start a new life here.
Today another Afrikaner son is slaughtered
(one of more than three thousand) ,
what happens tomorrow and the next day?

Everything is OK
Go and enjoy life.

Having-Less-Is-More
Money isn't 'everything' you know?
'Ooooohhh mon ami,
Big dummy you!
YOUR money may not be 'everything'.
Or not nearly what it use to be.
However...
SOMEWHERE someone is spending it,
Caring less about your limitation.
Or who has good or bad or indifferent credit.
And they have yet to accept greed as a motive,
To live a happy life! '
I am not referring to foreigners,
I am talking about us...
Living today in 'this' country.
'Oh?
I see.
So you've already adopted,
That 'Having-Less-Is-More' attitude?
Good for you.
You make me proud.
But as for me...
Give me a ten dollar bill anytime.
Even a five dollar bill,
Seems less than a dollar these days.'

South Africa Is Also My Country
From my birth South Africa is my own country
and my people can flee to an island
but my own culture and language stays holy
although this place is not safe,
I still trust on a much higher hand,
from my birth South Africa is my own country.
From my birth South Africa is my own country
even if the struggling government gives me resistance,
do oppress me with unfair laws,
even if nothing can stop the disintegration,
even if I am not safe against the onslaught,
from my birth South Africa is my own country.
From my birth South Africa is my own country,
even if some act with effrontery against my people
I come from a noble heritage,
I am proud on my Afrikaner lineage,
even if people and buildings are set alight,
from my birth South Africa is my own country.
From my birth South Africa is my own country
with no other place I have such a deep bond
and even if here I will never have any job,
I believe in God and a Christian church,
God himself still keeps my ways intact,
from my birth South Africa is my own country.
