Death bed
I whish I were there
to hold my father’s hand
when the last power of life
went through him, when he struggled for words,
but couldn’t talk
and every breath was like his last.
I now see myself sitting at his bed,
wiping the sweat from his head,
adjusting the bed more comfortable
but am I am already older than him
and when I was only three
and he died, I could not say:
that I am forever his child
and that I still love him defencelessly.

Live Or Die
Take one breath
One fundamental sign of life
Dont look back, dont analyze
The tears that you cry
Only the strong survive
The silent sacrifice
And i, I will be your heart of steel
But power has a price
Aint it time that you believe in someone
Aint it wrong to let the years go by
Standing face to face forever
Live or die
(chorus)
Hold me like a child
Im not alive until you do
What you hold in your hand is a miracle
And its dead if I dont have you
Hold me like a child
Swear you never let go
Youre the eye of the storm
The reason I laugh or cry
Live or die
I will stay with you
Take one breath
One fundamental sign of life
No bad blood
No pain can make you draw the knife
We got a world of trouble
But I will never change
And even if we fall tomorrow
We will rise again
Now is the time we show each other
These are the words I kept inside
Standing face to face forever
Live of die
(chorus)
Live or die
I will stay, with you
Take one breath
One fundamental sign of life
Dont look back
We love each other live or die
Hold me like a child
Im not alive until you do
Live or die
I will stay with you
Take one breath
One fundamental sign of life
Dont look back
We love each other live or die
Hold me like a child

we salute you, Appa @ Daddy.
The sweetest fruit that I have ever eaten,
The choicest food that I have ever tasted,
The pleasant soup that I have ever sipped,
The rough hand that fed. That was yours, Appa.
Dipped the jack fruit in honey,
Took the smallest piece that could fit my young mouth,
Fed me and asked how the taste was,
Father, nothing is sweeter than your love.
As the child is the father of a man, Daddies! !
You have struggled as someone, somewhere,
A few of you may be comfortable,
The rest of you all suffer in silence,
Does the responsibility silence you all?
You are there when we need you,
You are there to keep the unity of the family,
You are there in every stage of our life,
What shall we do, except, follow your principles.
Nothing equals you and we salute you.
You are all the pillars of culture,
Protector of old and young,
King of our hearts.
A few of you have been tricked to be deviant, but
Most of you have kept the welfare of your family,
Not only in mind, but in your breath,
You are the reason, we are comfortable today.
Thank you Daddy..

Small Talk & Pride
(john farrar)
We never really had the chance to let each other know
We never really had the time to let our feelings show
Small talk kept us going
When the only words to say
Were how I long to hold you
Pride locked the words away
I never had the confidence to think that you could care
I never looked into your eyes to see if love was there
I talked it over with myself and silently agreed
Your heart was in a high place unreachable to me
I waited too long for a sign from you
Reached for a line that you never threw
Small talk and pride kept us from getting together
Now theres never a day youre not on my mind
Saying the words we could never find
Small talk and pride took you from my life forever
Ill never hold the cards again
To win a love so real
I know Id gamble everything
But mistress fate wont deal
I just have to be content to learn by my mistakes
Our hearts were just a breath away
Now theyre far enough to break
I waited too long for a sign from you
Reached for a line that you never threw
Small talk and pride kept us from getting together
Now theres never a day youre not on my mind
Saying the words we could never find
Small talk and pride took you from my life forever

Father there you Are(For my dad)
Father it's been a long time,
Since I was baby which I cannot count on my ten fingers,
Cradle my mother's arms,
My eyes closed yet to see my father,
Father running around,
Now I can talk and walk,
Those years later,
Father where are you?
Seeing my mother,
Saying I love thy father,
Which I do,
My love will forever be true,
Now as I grow older once again,
I ask myself,
Father where are you?
Inside my life I see a tunnel,
Running through that tunnel I hear a voice,
Do I go or should I stay?
Trusting my gut I do,
A smile on my face,
Father there you are!

Breath Of Heaven
Spoken:
And gabriel appeared to mary and said
Do not be afraid mary
You have found favor with god
You will be with child
And give birth to a son
And you are to give him the name jesus
He will be great
And will be called the son of the most high
And the lord God will give him the throne of his father david
And he will reign over the house of david forever
His kingdom will never end
I have traveled many moonless night
Cold and weary with a babe inside
And I wonder what Ive done
Holy father you have come
And chosen me now to carry your son
I am waiting in a silent prayer
I am frightened by the load I bear
In a world as cold as stone
Must I walk this path alone
Be with me now
Be with me now
Breath of heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Lighten my darkness
Pour over me your holiness
For your are holy
Breath of heaven
Do you wonder as you watch my face
If a wiser one should have had my place
But I offer all I am
For the mercy of your plan
Help me be strong
Help me be
Help me
Breath of heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Lighten my darkness
Pour over me your holiness
For you are holy
Breath of heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Lighten my darkness
Pour over me your holiness
For you are holy
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven

More Than You'll Ever Know
Travis Tritt
I know living with me ain't always easy
But girl when you're not by my side
I feel a part of me has died
'Cause I love you more than you'll ever know
More than life more than I've ever loved before
It's absurd and beyond words
I couldn't want you more
And when I try to hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
I'm sure you've heard it say hearts have windows
But mine has doors a painful past has closed
Unless someday they open wide revealing feelings locked inside
I'll love you more than you'll ever know
More than life more than I've ever loved before
It's absurd and beyond words
I couldn't want you more
And when I try to hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
Even when I hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
Yes I love you more than you'll ever know

Better Days
Ooh Child things are going to get easier
Ooh Child things it's get brighter
Better Days [x 4]
Keep your head up
Better Days [x 4]
Keep your head up
She grew up in Brooklyn the Eastside and fulton street
Never knew father
He got shot hustling
She stated acting much older
Her mother couldn't control her
Losing direction
Started sex'n-no protection
And now she's expecting
A life she wasn't ready for
She*s feeling rejected
And her futures unsure
And if you want
Run out there on your own
Don*t give up sunshine
There will be better days
(Keep your head up)
Gotta keep movin' on
To raise a child alone
Don*t give up sunshine
There will be better days
(Keep your head up)
Are you down with full time
On weekend stripping
So you met baller

What Is Said
How could I ever tell you how important what you say
can be
that the words of any man in a day
can affect a life, millions, or even me
our words have so much power
so do not cower
and do not shy away
do not hold back what you want to say
because your words affect a lifetime
speak your mind
all shall be fine
do not fear rejection for the reward is sublime
to save life or cause a turn
to help the world, or save one destined to burn
but forget not that words destroy and create
break down and perpetuate
the power of words and their force of love
the power of words and their capacity for sadistic destruction
forget not that you hold inside this death and life
the power to create argument and strife
or peace and tranquility
remember, remember dear child that each word can kill
each word can fill
with love and joy
or malice and contempt
so don't attempt
to downplay their importance
and play the fool
because its those words that are a part of you
its those words that yours my child
now use them wisely, say what must be said
for with all my years of experience i have learned that what's most important
sometimes...
is simply
What's said

Mercy on me
My body now worn and riddled with pain
FATHER have mercy on me, LORD have mercy on me
Your hand on my life even before my first breath
FATHER of my life, LORD of the wholeness of my life
My life entirely in Your hands
I do not question why my suffering
FATHER Your healing hands on me, LORD Your healing hands on me
My faith and trust in You always
FATHER the author of my being, LORD Your grace upon me
No blame, my life is in You
Your Grace keeps me from long lonely nights
FATHER Your presence comforts me, LORD Your peace in me
Loneliness will never defeat me
FATHER of everlasting love, LORD Your sacrifice in love
Humbled, I surrender to You
Though my breathing becomes harder
FATHER Your breath in me, Lord Your life in me
My eyes become dim, and life escapes me
FATHER, the giver of life, LORD, the healer of my being
Your healing in me, now and forever

Bottom
Lift your head up from the clouds
I know that you're shaking
Breaking down
How could you leave me
Garbage can
Never want to be your understand
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me
Lord can you help me get this weight off my shoulders
Can you help me I think I'm getting older
The pain that you left me deep within
How can I live living in sin
And you know that I've tried
And you know
Lord knows I've tried every day of my life
Sitting at the bottom, sitting at the bottom with you
Sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom, sitting at the bottom
How many times I gotta say
That you're never ever gonna get your way
Down in the gutter as I decay
Where you gonna leave me
Let me be
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me understand
And you know that I've tried
Don't you know
Lord knows I've tried every day of my life
Sitting at the bottom, I'm sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom with you
Now I'm sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom, sitting at the bottom with you
[x2]
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never hurt me
[x2]
Sticks and stones breaking my bones
No your words aren't never gonna hurt me
And you know that I've tried
And you know
Lord knows I've tried every day of my life
Sitting at the bottom, sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom with you
Now i'm sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom with you
I'm just sitting at the bottom with you

Child of mine…
To my beautiful child, , ,
Beautiful child, being so small you inspire me big,
Beautiful child, so fragile, you make me so strong,
Beautiful child, so tender your touch your power is great,
Beautiful child, small is your heart, infinite is the love I feel for you;
Beautiful child, your hand I’m anxious to hold, to walk life’s road with you by my side.
Beautiful child, your light will show me the way,
Beautiful child, you came to my life to teach me a lesson that I shall never forget…
Nor riches, nor power can give us the best things of life…
The smile of a child…Is the best of all rewards…

Loves Got A Hold On Me
Words and music by rick nielsen, robin zander & bun e. carlos
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me
Youre not the first one
Youre not the last one
Youre not even the in between
Youve got the power, this is your hour
You crawl through harlem
On your hands and knees
Its not the way you look
The way you walk and the color of your hair
Its not the way you look
The way you talk and the color of your hair
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me
Well there is something I feel about you
A feelin that just wont let go
Well in an hour, you have the power
The power of love over me
Its not the way you look
The way you walk and the color of your hair (no)
Its not the way you look
The way you talk and the color of your hair
Then you threw it away, you threw it all away
As you walked right out the door
You threw it away, you threw it all away
As you walked right out the door
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me
Its got a hold on me
Its got a hold on me
Its got a hold on, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on me
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me
Your love has got me
Its got a hold on me, a hold on me

~A Tender Moment At The Supermarket~
Sitting there watching them
they had no idea
they were such an inspiration
so comfortable with eachother.
He, at least 85
she, about the same.
From my car I could see
the way he worried about her
as he pulled his car up to the door
so she wouldn't get wet.
He tenderly watched
while she tucked her hair
under her clear rain bonnet.
The rain was barely a trickle
but it was a cold rain
and he wouldn't have her
catching a chill.
She waited
just inside the door
while he parked the car
a sky blue 1976 Bonneville.
They probably bought it
brand new.
His steps were slow
and purposeful.
I could tell he hurt
but was trying to still
be the ''protector''
of his beautiful bride.
They walked into the store
arm in arm
while I sat for a few more minutes
alone in my car
listening to the whish-whish
of my wipers.

Now And Always
This situation I find myself in
For I have selfishly taken one on the chin
My words I shall never rescind
Casing a breeze trying to catch the wind
Up and out through my front door
Gone is my luck ever more
Like a child grasping at the sand
Granules slips right through my hand
To hold her was impossible to achieve
She once gave me something to believe
Like a can of beets sitting on the shelf
Here I am now left to myself
She never could make up her mind
Her heart she kept hopelessly confined
Seasons when she refused to leave behind
Love to me has always been so unkind
This is something that I know
She would not let her former self go
Writing on the walls I always saw the sign
To cross she would never the borderline
Love once knocked on my door
But now she knocks there no more
I lift my glass to her I’ve toasted
She was my life I once boasted
The task at hand was truly daunted
But she was all I ever wanted
Her fragrance I am truly haunted
Even still the birds me they’ve taunted
These were the best days of my life
I could’ve, I should’ve, and I would’ve made her my wife
But with me she could never be
No one left now to love only me
Her love I could never really claim
Life without her will never be the same
My love I fought hard to contain
For the love I have will always remain
I still love her more than words could ever speak
When she walked in the room my knees would go weak
The honeybees still whisper sunshine’s name
From the mountains to the hills I was ready to exclaim
I would make her laugh or cry with the words I wrote down
Her affect on me was truly profound
She is life and the breath that I took
The precious melodies I once wrote in my songbook
She is way hotter than July
She can cause and egg to fry
She made me sweat on the coldest of days
She made my body shiver when she touched me in certain ways
I have loved her from the start of creation
She fills my wildest imagination
From dimly lit streets to darken allays
I shall love her for now and alway

Child In Your Arms
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
I know it's hard to understand
Why I was taken from your hands
One day we'll meet again
Mother and father hand in hand
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Pick a star in the sky
And see the twinkle in my eye
As I send you my love
From heavens above
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
All the new mothers above
Giving their love
To the new born child
In heavens above
Mother father watch over me
And jesus will watch over you
I feel your love in heavens above
I'll see you here
When it's your time to come
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Oh mummy dear
I see you and daddy so near
My life as just begun
In heavens above
So don't be afraid to live your life
Be glad and happy to what comes to you
I'll keep you safe as I watch over you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Child in your arms
Will always love you
Sweet child in heaven
Sleep in peace
I hope you see all you want to see
Be who you want to be
God bless

Hold On To Your Dream
In life we have our pains and sorrows
Face mountains we think we can't climb
Nothing can there's always tomorrow
You feel like giving up, you say you're out of luck
But then you hear a voice in your mind
Telling you to
Hold on to your dream
Cause they're always worth having
Hold on to your dream
Like a father to his son
Don't let anyone ever steal your joy from you
Hold on to your dream
till the day that life is said and done
This world is filled peaks and valleys
With rivers we think we can't cross
To busy keeping sorrows telling
You say you're at you're in
You say you never win
But then a light comes on in your mind
Till you
Hold on to your dream
Cause they're always worth having
Hold on to your dream
Like a father to his son
Don't let anyone ever steal your joy from you
Hold on to your dream
Until the day that life is said and done
If you wanna hold on to something
You better hold on to your dreams
If you want to hold on to something
You've gotta hold to your love
To your love
So if they try to burst your bubble
It's cons they haven't done em all
And when you feel you are in trouble
Hold your head up high and feel your heart inside
And know that you are never alone
Just as long as you
Hold on to your dream
Cause they're always worth having
Hold on to your dream
Like a father to his son
Don't let anyone ever steal your joy from you
Hold on to your dream
till the day that life is said and done
Hold on to your dream
Cause they're always worth having
Hold on to your dream
Like a mother to her child
Don't let anyone ever steal your dreams from you
Hold on to your dream
And do your best to always wear a smile
Hold on to your dream

Dead Boys Poem
The child sits and weeps,
How could this be all that matters,
Why did this have to hurt so deep,
How could this be life?
The child sits with the pain inside,
He sits with his heart in his chest,
‘How could I have died? ’
Is all he thinks, he forgets the rest.
The child’s eyes closed so tight,
His fists clenched so strong
He feels the night,
He knows everything that happened was wrong.
The child stands and looks into the houses light
He stares at not the window,
Not at the sight,
Yet only for the weeping widow.
The child stands holding the gun,
The gun he died holding,
As he remembers his father killing him, his only son
He remembers his father scolding.
He knows he took a life,
Yet he knows his father took his,
He remembers not the taking of his father’s life,
Only the pain of his father stealing his.
His eyes so dark,
His mind so lost,
His hand tracing deaths mark,
As he remembers it’s cost.
He remembers the scene, the time,
He remembers the look in his father’s face,
He remembers doing the crime,
He remembers seeing the pain in his father’s face.
But then his memory stops,
And reality takes place,
For this is when he dropped,
This is when life left his face.
He walks past,
To eternity; to roam
Of all his memories this shall be his last
For this is the dead boy’s poem.

Did It Prevent Your Sun Kissed Dreams?
Father that sundial, is it death…
Is it Father - the hand of death?
Is it the sword that cuts short a bird's flight?
'Child, we're all adjacent, the window of life.
The window of light…'
O' Father is it a guillotine!
Does it covert our breath…
O' Father how, much, time
Do we have? Left…
'Child, we're all adjacent, the window of life.
Until the bird in your soul, takes flight'.
'Child, a question - answer your father this.
Did it prevent your sun kissed dreams? Last night.'
