A Garden on the Moon
Let me say this standing while I still have breath to sing
There must be a light somewhere that brightens everything
I try like someone desperate to light a fire of the heart
I strike another match and watch you blow it all apart
I swear to the heavens that I love you more than life
I know there is no other that would make a finer wife
But our world is like a prison
One that we have built
Or like a garden in the desert
Where the flowers grow but wilt
What makes us miss the moments
In the photos and the cards
Is knowing this will end someday
and forever we will part
Until then let’s find solace
In a poem or a tune
waiting for the warmth of spring
in a garden on the moon.

In the Garden, With My Father
It is spring.
As in my garden, I stand.
In the garden -
My father is there;
... though long since gone...
He IS there.
I tend to the weeds,
The veggies and flowers...
He is there.
I never understood him
(as I should have, could have) ...
Until now,
Here, in the garden.
Where I, like he, work the soil.
I've come just recently
(these last few years)
To enjoy and love my garden so.
- I am not as surprised afterall, as I would have thought,
To find him here.
Here, in the garden.
He loved his garden very much.......
I - at that early age of restless youth - had no use
For such slow moving things.
But now, I see, and myself move, at a much slower pace.
Therefore, it is him I am here and now able to see,
In the garden.
Watching it all grow, so peacefully.
It is somewhat sad, that now,
When I can no longer tell him,
I understand.
For I have come to find... I love the garden too,
Just as much as he;
And we both always will.
My father - standing in the garden -
I now know.
After all these long years.
And I've missed him so;
But, how wonderful to find,
He IS here...
In the garden, our garden,
Always, with me.

In the spring garden
In the spring garden
~
In the spring garden
Birds sing and chatter
While flowers raise their heads
To greet the morning sun
A garden filled with colour bright
A garden which now fills with life
The bee and the butterfly hover
From flower to flower gathering nectar
Seeding the flowers blossom
Throughout the spring garden
The dew glistens upon the grass
While the wind gently rolls in the tree
All the world slowly waking
Soon to this bounty of great beauty
Every hue from natures pallet
Is here free for all to see
In the spring garden

In The Winter Garden
Winter has visited our garden my love
Trees have been stripped bare and flowers wilt
A frost has been laid upon the ground
Even the birds have taken to flight, away
Amid the silence of the morning I walk
Through our garden which we nurtured
How solemn it now looks without colour
The summer seems but a distant memory
How beautiful it looked back then
How beautiful it will look once more
But now in the mornings drab light
With barren trees and wilted flowers
I walk upon the hardened earth
Which feels like stone beneath my feet
We talked of planting a fruit tree
For flavour and shade in years to come
Now that is an idea in waiting
Till winter has passed, and spring returns
Winter is here in our garden my love
As I watch the vapour of my breath rise
I say your name, a love for all time

Gardner of beauty
Your beauty is like that of a Gardner tending to his flowers making life more beautiful with each day you tend to them. I could only wish to be one of your flowers in your garden and hope to feel your gentle hands as you would tend to me. Your beauty is to me as rain is to a flower, giving it nourishment for life. your beauty is my rain and it makes my love grow for you like that of the flower. Your loving soul is that of Gods warmth coming from the sun to a flower. Your love is my sun and feeling it's warmth to the touch it makes my soul grow as the flower would on a summer day. How I ask to be your flower and you be my gardener of life.

Our Marriage Is Our Garden
Our marriage is our garden.
I want our garden to be beautiful.
With lush green grass,
With fragrant and colourful flowers.
A place of solace.
A place of peace.
A place of love.
Our garden must be watered.
Not watered too much.
As that would saturate the ground.
Not watered too little.
As that would leave the plants wilted.
And our grass barren.
But regularly.
So the flowers can stand tall
It must be weeded.
It must be maintained.
It must be loved.
We will plant seeds in our garden.
For new life makes any garden more beautiful and diverse.
We can harvest the fruit trees, but our harvest is limited
If we eat all the fruit too quick,
Then we must wait until the next harvest to eat again.
If we don't pick the fruit when it is right, it will spoil.
Our harvest is for our family.
If I eat all the fruit myself, then they will starve.
If we eat too much we will get sick.
If we eat what we are supposed to, then we will be healthy.
If we do not monitor the fruit,
Then someone might eat more than their share.
If we do not stand guard in our garden,
A thief might come into the garden to steal our fruit.
The fruit for our family.
For their garden must be barren and their crops have spoiled.
Our garden will stand the test of all seasons.
As all gardens do.
Another garden will also experience the same seasons.
Just at different times.
All gardens face rain.
All gardens get sun.
It is the rain that nourishes the garden and helps it's life to grow.
But our garden must be maintained regularly.
Only artificial things require no maintenance.
The artificial has no life.
It is fake, it is plastic.
Our garden needs to be real.
So life may grow and continue to grow.
So one day our children can enjoy a garden of their own.
For them and their children.
May their garden be overflowing with life and love.
And be the most beautiful garden in the world.

Flowers Bloom Like People
The flowers in the garden strike blue,
Just like lovely you.
These flowers at the forefront speak loud,
Opening the doors to what is allowed.
Never do we release so many scents
As this day. This day, we march like gents.
Just like roses we announce,
We sometimes ponder and pounce.
In effect we denounce our leaders,
Leading the committee of readers.
These are the authority of the dance
Of flowers, in our garden of chance.
From this garden I walk into fields,
Then streets are with us, no more hayfields.
The green garden was behind now and then,
With innocence at its side, compared again.
A ghostly swamp is not our task,
Merely we dine in pleasure and mask.
For we arrive in the city streets,
Walking is an objective so much it cheats.
We are some, they are many,
This conundrum augments the penny,
For if they are greater than us,
We shall be greater with words to discuss.
Flowers, we claim, are at our heads,
They do swear to keep beds;
Our heads also keep them, one after the other,
The rooms to occupy are more than our mother.
The soil is so endangered by us,
Flowers keep great ideas in dirtiness.
The gardeners work forever this way,
Shaking the soil with their day.
May our sleeping hours prove to be higher
Than all of nature’s, still we can tire.
Flower the world with our march,
The march continues to arch.
May fatigue be the enemy of our protest,
This riot we create, and then be assessed.
What we are is not your concern,
The bushes and plants have a turn.
Their laziness requires religious thought,
We need to think better than today as sought.
Let the population know what we have forsaken,
The streets should be empty and obedient with abortion.
The walkers are right, just totally right,
An abduction causes us a different light.
They take away some flowers from the garden,
The garden of Us, we are the garden to pardon.
May we string new words,
Extract blessing from our birds.
The garden is polite like a stage,
Acting will never grow or enrage.
The nature of substances is grand,
Like that of this very land.
Lazy flowers shout too hard,
That is why they droop and be charred.
They wilt and slowly drop,
Like us as we come to the top.
Life is about the riots of flowers,
We marched up and down, with powers.

Only Leaves!
Will there be fruits without flowers?
Will there be flowers without leaves?
But in my garden only leaves grow
Without flowers and fruits ever!
Selfish growth will mar healthy society!
It will be like westward rush for gold
Where everyone fights with gun to kill
One another along with joy and fun ever!
Competition sans cooperation kills joy!
Animal lust cannot sustain divine love
Making joy bloom as flowers in garden
To make joy rule life forever in bliss!
Life sans good company as desert sans oasis is
Stock piling of wealth sans none to share joy!

Loves Floral Garden
We may be running circles 'round in time-
And spending moments with one another 'neath the moon-
But it defines the magic that we create while together...
In Springtimes Garden of Ethereal Blooms;
Oh, the gentle majesty of fragrant aroma's...
That peak in the warming sprintime eves-
And the tender love we give unto one another unconditionally-
And all the warmth that we two receive;
It all makes for a tender nurturing relationship...
Borne 'neath New Beginnings Springtime show...
'Neath the awesome splendour of the ebons twinkling gems-
In a Floral Garden-Our love to grow;
We are watered with the Sprintimes gentle rains-
And fertilized with promises of true love to always be...
'Neath the sun and moon we grow forever in love-
Wrapped in the Floral Gardens of Eternity;

I Plucked A Rose From A Garden Green......
By Murtaza Abt
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
Of beauty never felt or seen,
Hoping that it would never wilt,
And always be as always been.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
with a happy blissful heart,
And promised i would hold it tight,
And never would we part.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
But little did i know,
That not in endless love and care,
But gardens do they grow.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And took it home with me,
But little did it stay the way,
The way t'was meant to be.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to grieve,
Over gardens green and meadows lush,
As it was sad to leave.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to wilt,
And wither in that unknown land,
it filled my heart with guilt.
I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to die,
For happiness i had only asked,
But i began to cry.
....................................
I have p L ucked y O u from a garden green,
Your beauty i VE never felt or seen,
Hoping that YOU will never wilt,
And always be as always been.

Once In A Lifetime (feat. Human Nature)
ONCE IN A LIFETIME
Kenny Loggins and Human Nature
Runaway Bride
Something about you
Oh, could it be I finally found
My destiny
Now here you are
Within my reach
How did I miss you? (how did I miss you)
When you were out there all the time
It took this moment
To make me realize...
Once in a Lifetime
You find your reason for living
You find the one that makes your every dream
Come true
(Find the one that makes your dreams...)
Oh I could search the world forever
But no one else could do
Cause once in a lifetime
You find someone like you
Ahh..
Once in a lifetime, ohh
I've waited for so long (so long)
Makin this can't nothin be but a lie
Cause all about
Standing by wind, oohh
Alone in the crowd, oh oh oh
I went through the motion (went through the motion)
Then out of heaven you arrived
Whatever was wrong
Suddenly is right
Cause once in a lifetime
You find the reason for living
You find the one who makes your every dream
Come true
(Find the one who makes your dream...)
No, I could search the world forever
And no one else would do
Cause once in a lifetime
You find someone like you
(Find someone like you...)
Hearts that wait for love can grow so weary
(Don't you know... a heart can grow?)
But it doesn't matter anymore
When you find the one you've waited for...
You find your reason for living
You find the one that makes your every dream come ... oh you make it come true
Oh you could search the world forever
But no one else would do
Cause once in a lifetime
You find someone like you.....
Cause once in a lifetime
You find someone.....
Someone like you......
(Ahhh...)
Whoaaa......................

The Two Moon Junction
I want to be there in the ‘Two Moon Junction’ For Ever.
Where these two moons are competing with each other.
The First Moon which we see in the sky was as usually illuminating and his golden moon light enhancing the feel of romantic weather further more.
Where as the other moon was seated along with me in the garden of flowers, which had blossomed in the mid night assuming the double moon light as Sunrise.
The Moon on the Earth is my love, Laughing with me, Fighting with me, teasing me with her looks and talks and promising her presence in my life at good and bad times. Assuring me that life is so beautiful when the trio is together, She me and the full moon in sky.
I want to be there in the “Two Moon Junction” ‘Forever’ and ever.

Sayonara!
Sayonara, sayonara…
O Comforter of my heart,
It is time for me to go,
Like the passing of seasons,
This spring will not last,
I can't stop the daily sunsets,
Golden autumn is impatiently waiting.
When next winter come,
the pure white snow will fall again.
When the new spring reappear,
I hope to be standing in this garden again,
though I maybe alone…
I will cherish those unforgettable moments with you,
and these sweet red roses will surely bloom again as witness,
to the meeting of hearts,
Who comforted each other so much,
But yet impossible to be together.

Sparkle
Maurice white, eddie delbarrio & philip bailey
On a golden sky, you my sparkle flying high
My vibration start to rhyme and it chimes
With loves direction
Now, Im traveling my cares unraveling,
Flying high, just you and me
Feeling free along loves highway
Lover forever unfolds magical moments together
And the fire to ignite melodies tonight
Birds can only sing the song we write
Harmonies in tune that reflect the moon
Sparkle youre so rare and lovely in my sight
Just give me a sign, and be my valentine
Let the arrow full of light, pierce the nigght
With loves affection
Sharing blissfully making history
Fragrants of you loving smile
A little while will last forever
Lover forever unfolds magical moments together
And the fire to ignite melodies tonight
Birds can only sing the song we write
Harmonies in tune that reflect the moon
Sparkle youre so rare and lovely in my sight
Youre my valentine
You create a rhyme all the birds can sing
Our song divine
Sparkle like a star, sparkling you are
Glistening in my heart
You light my sky
Love forever unfolds magical moments together
And the fire to ignite melodies tonight
Birds can only sing the song we write
Harmonies in tune that reflect the moon
Sparkle youre so rare and lovely in my sight

Written In Stone
When we kiss that way
I search for words that
Might explain
How can a love go so deep
Girl, its in my blood
Itll always be a part of me
If we stay together
Or if we go our separate ways
I know... love will last forever
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
Your heart will always have a home
It is written in stone - written
In stone
Seasons go by and minds
Have changed
But I will never doubt why i
Feel this way
It goes on so strong
Like a solid rock
Even when the moments gone
Nothing lasts forever
But one things sure to stay
The same
Our love... the love is getting better
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
I know just how the story goes
It is written in stone - written
In stone
True love is timeless and
Unconditional
You dont need to read the writing
On the wall
I can see the future - happiness
Wont fade away
The sun is in the sky just like it
Was yesterday
Love will last forever
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
Your heart will never be alone
It is written in stone - written
In stone
True love is timeless
It will grow through smiles
And sadness
Wont you walk with me
Our love, it will be forever
I know sometimes you might not
Believe it
But baby Ill do my best to show
You, let you see it
Time might not be so bad
I know well come out ahead
Love is timeless
Timeless and unconditional
You dont need to read the writing
On the wall
Its written in stone
Happiness wont fade away

Return To Nature
Suppose I am one who has a big ego I did have big plans once I do recall
But egos are a thing that inspire in us the need for success and are part of human nature after all
And now that my ego is a bit deflated and others I don't feel need to impress
Something perhaps that came with the realization that my life never has been a success.
Still I am one who finds solace in Nature and Nature the only God of which I know
I've always marvelled at her strength and beauty and still my admiration for her only grow
I had a church God when I was years younger but I gave my unseen church God away
And I returned again to Mother Nature and in her bosom I will rest one day.
The free born birds that sing in Nature's garden each species is distinctive by their song
And the fox that hunts for rabbits in the paddocks these creatures all to Nature's World belong
And the wedge tailed eagle soaring in the calm sky a very large and fearless bird of prey
Too is a part of Mother Nature's World and in Nature's bosom this bird's bones too will lay.
The swallows fly to warm climes in Winter and return home to greet the warmth of Spring
And chase insects o'er the valley where they first saw daylight and as they fly one hear them chirp and sing
How they can find their way to a far Country in late Fall and in the Spring find their way home again
Is something for which scientists can offer theories yet somehow seems beyond them to explain.
The World is quieter in Mother Nature's World for man made noise to Nature doesn't belong
On sunlit tree beside the rippling waters the thrush in Spring is singing all day long
And Nature she presides o'er all her Seasons and she has seen so many Seasons come and go
Her flowers of Spring and Summer and her brown leaves of Autumn and her hills of Winter wear white hats of snow.
I do not worship false Gods any longer and I returned to Nature years ago
And though Mother Nature has so much to teach us so little about her I seem to know
Yet I feel happy to walk in her garden and along the bank of her quiet water way
'Twas an act of Nature brought me to this World and I'll return to her bosom one day.

Let The Wind Blow
Let the wind blow
Let the grass grow
But dont let her go
Dont take her out of my life
Dont take her out of my life
Let the moon glow
(let the moon glow)
(on the fallen snow)
On the fallen snow
(let the moon glow)
(on the fallen snow)
But I just got to know
(let me please know oh oh oh)
Know shell be a part of my life
Know shell be a part of my life
Forever
Let the bees make honey
Let the poor find money
Take away their sorrows
Give them sunshine tomorrow
But dont take her out of my life
Dont take her out of my life
What would I do without her tell me now
Let the bird sing
With the coming spring
Let the church bells ring
Let the rain fall
Let the grass grow
Let the moon glow
On the fallen snow
But dont take her out of my life
Please keep her a part of my life

Eventually
the evening smolders into night
turn up the music and i'll drive into the city lights
the wind is on your face
i'm blowing kisses down from outer space
baby won't you be
part of my fantasy
cause i can't sit and wait around until eventually
so let me take you home
and watch your garden grow
a little closer and i'll make it so you can't say no
caress the rhythm with our feet
we move as one and everyone around can feel the heat
let's take a step outside
cause me and you got something we should hide
so baby won't you be
part of my fantasy
cause i can't sit and wait around until eventually
let me take you home
and watch your garden grow
alittle closer and i'll make it so you can't say no
uh and its making me crazy
to be your friend when you're my fantasy
the morning's melting into day
we're nose to nose and i don't think that i could turn away
the world is in this room
the world is in this room
so baby won't you be
part of my fantasy
cause i can't sit and wait around until eventually
let me take you home
and watch your garden grow
a little closer and i'll make it so you can't say no

Spring Shine
The warmth Spring, soft touch my face
With bloom the flowers everywhere
The sunshine meets the blue skies
Watch the beautiful morning
Feel the flowers of spring, so fresh,
The morning of spring fills with joy
I dream of touching the moon light,
Staying in the heaven
Where, I will call his soul
And sweet moment spent with him.
The warmth breeze, whispered to my ears
With the happiness of sharing life together
Listen to the soul of the spring
Where, I ‘all dream of the perfect love
Till I give my life to him.

A Prayer For Me
soon i will be one of the hollow people
and soon i will have nothing but air inside me
why can't i make a choice between substance
and emptiness?
i can. There is this light that leads me to
his Grace. There is this door that always opens.
There is this garden where all
the flowers always bloom
and never wilt.
I follow the light. I open the door.
I enter the garden.
As easy as that. I only need to call His Name.
And He is always there.
I do not have to suffer and
be confused. He is happiness. He is certainty.
I do not have the right to inflict
this unnecessary injury into my soul.
Amen.

She Matters Most, Your Wife
He was a Bee in a Rose-garden,
Seeking nectar from its flowers;
Unable to quench his thirst, one day,
He had soon forgotten that
She was a Rose in the same garden!
His wife- a flower so rare,
Beautiful beyond compare,
Ready to blossom some day,
To perfume his life some way.
To forgive is divine, err mundane;
To learn from other’s blunders- humane;
So, forget the past and start afresh,
For you aren’t too old today!
When the devil can get credit,
Why not your wife her bit?
’Tis better late than never
To make up with her some way!
For, se is a Rose in your own garden,
A flower so very, very rare,
Beautiful beyond compare,
Waiting to serve all through life,
She matters most, your Wife!
My first poem ever written that was readied
In May,1998, coinciding with India’s Pokhran II
Blasts and has remained unaltered till date
