Opposites Attract
(written by h. beatty, e. holland, r. david, b. holland)
Well, well, well, well, well
Youre not the image of
The man thats of my dreams
We dont see eye to eye
But you got me riding high
Were incompatible astrologically
All of the signs they do agree
That its the nature of opposites
It must be in our chemistry
(refrain)
(opposites attract) yeah
(something just keeps me coming back)
(opposites attract)
Something about you, baby
(this feeling keeps me coming back)
Ooh, yeah, yeah
I say it looks like sunshine
You say it looks like rain
Youve got your stubborn ways, yes, you do
And you know Ill never change
In a thousand ways we disagree
But the sweet vibrations from your touch
Its the magic of the chemistry
That makes me want it
Twice as much
(refrain)
(opposites attract) oh, keep coming
(something just keeps me coming back)
Keep coming back, keep coming back, ooh
(opposites attract) oh, keep coming
(this feeling keeps me coming back)
Hey, yeah, yeah, woh, woh, woh, woh
Hoo, hoo, hoo, woo, woo
Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo
Ahh--
(opposites attract) yeah, yeah
(keeps me coming back)
Something about you, baby
(opposites attract) woo, woo, woo
(this feeling keeps me coming back)
(opposites attract)
Something about you, baby
(this feeling keeps me coming back)...

It's Not Over
Listen
We don't call the shots here
We don't make the rules
We take what we get, get what we can
And it's learning the hard way
Here on the streets
You can't build a dream, without a plan
(passion speaks) let them hear you speak
(play for keeps) they play to win, we play for keeps
Chorus:
It's not over 'til it's over
It's not over 'til we get it right
The odds are against us
They say we don't stand a chance
But there's no giving up, no giving in
When push comes to shove
You got to fight for what you love
You do what you must, do what you can
(passion speaks) let them hear you speak
(play for keeps) they play to win, we play for keeps
It's not over 'til it's over (it's not over)
It's not over 'til we get it right
It's not over 'til it's over (don't go giving in)
It's not over 'til we get it right
The odds are against us
But you know we still stand a chance
But there's no giving up, no giving in
It's not over
It's not over 'til it's over
It's not over 'til we, 'til we, 'til we get it right
It's not over 'til it's over
It's not over 'til we, 'til we, 'til we get it right
It's not over 'til it's over
Don't go giving in now

Smile Or Frown
Pairs of opposites
Half of them parasites
In the lives of mortals
Invading their portals!
Smile and frown one such
World of difference so much!
Smile attracts, Frown repels
Smile wins, Frown loses
Smile befriends, Frown alienates
Smile infuses love, Frown injects hatred
Smile encourages, Frown deserts
Smile strengthens, Frown weakens
Smile carries, Frown throws off
Humans alone can control
And conquer to play their role!
Sport the smile
Bid adieu to frown
Make others happy
Feel really merry!

Macbeth is a very popular play with audiences. If you want to sell out a theater, just mount a production of Macbeth. It's a short play, it's an exciting play, it's easy to understand, and it attracts great acting.

Beauty attracts us men; but if, like an armed magnet it is pointed, beside, with gold and silver, it attracts with tenfold power.
Do, Get Away!
Do, get away!
From those player haters.
Stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers...
Without delay.
And oh oh...
Do, get away!
From the pinch that inches tensions.
Don't give them more attention,
To incense sentiments.
Eliminate that taste.
And oh oh,
Yes...
Do, get away!
From those player haters.
Stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers...
Without delay.
Don't be used as sucker bait.
Or be a loser estimated.
Get yourself away right now today!
Keep your flow going.
Demote those 'whoa-s' that float.
Without delay.
And stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers!
And get yourself away,
Right now...
Today!
Don't let them pay a cent,
As if they pay you rent!
And, get away!
Oooooh do, get away!
From those player haters.
Stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers...
Without delay.
Oooooh,
Stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers...
And get away.
Oooooh,
Stop that nagging that attracts,
The backbiting of braggers...
And get away.

Dawn Of A New Day
The thoughts from yesterday - forgotten
I like the way this new skin feels
Bring me splinters of tomorrow
Collect the parts where I win
Against the grain, against the odds
I'll rise and I won't trip again
The dawn of a new day never looked
As good as this
Concrete breath and dust filled tears
A one-way ride to inner peace
I never thought, I'd join the others
Those who use the dice to solve
Against the grain, against the odds
I'll rise and I won't trip again (x2)
The dawn of a new day never looked
As good as this
Against the grain, against the odds
I'll rise and I won't trip again
Against the grain, against the odds
Against the grain, against the odds(x2)
I'll rise and I won't trip again
Against the grain, against the odds(x3)

Quatrain #116 - There's good and bad wherever....
There's good and bad wherever you may happen to go
as this world is a play of opposites we should all know.
To be caught up between the two is what we're here to overcome
and after we've gone beyond them both our main job here is done.

Opposites~
Black & White,
Complete opposites,
Yet they look so beautiful together in a picture.
Love & Hate,
They are all around us,
They create our everyday lives.
Peace & War,
Peace is what we want to have in our lives,
But we get war because peace is shattered so easily the slightest wrong destroys what we have for peace.
Opposites are all around us
We don't always see them,
but they are always true.

Odds And Ends (1)
by Bob Dylan
I plan it all and I take my place
You break your promise all over the place
You promised to love me, but what do I see
Just you comin' and spillin' juice over me
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again
Now, you take your file and you bend my head
I never can remember anything that you said
You promised to love me, but what do I know
You're always spillin' juice on me like you got someplace to go
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again
Now, I've had enough, my box is clean
You know what I'm sayin' and you know what I mean
From now on you'd best get on someone else
While you're doin' it, keep that juice to yourself
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again

Attraction is something deeper
Temples were built by the mighty,
Some with golden towers,
Some with golden domes,
And some with golden podiums
To lure and summon.
Amarnath is a stone of a cave,
With no ornaments, no pavements
And yet attracts braving crowds
Much against all its odds,
For its sway of power.
There are women, very common,
With no ornaments to adorn,
Whom men throng for their bounty
As against women for their beauty

Take A Chance
Take a chance dream a dream
Lay a bet down on me
I will see you with my heart
Raise you with honesty
All the love I share with you
Is too priceless to lose
For your loving I will gamble
And Im gambling on you
All the odds are on our side
And I know youre worth it
Gonna take it
Go for it
Can I play, deal me in
Im a man who likes to win
Though I cant foresee the future
With you I dont fear a thing
All the odds are on our side
And I know youre worth it gonna take it
Go for it

~ We Are Fire And Ice ~
We are fire and ice - ice and fire. Two
different entities, that entice desire.
~
Once frozen I was, in the sea of love.
No hope for me in store.
~
You came along '' Your fire '' was strong
and ice I was, no more.
~
Opposites attract and that's a fact. Our love
proves it's true!
~
Though different, we were always meant
to be. 'Twas destiny that I meet you.
~
Fire and ice - ice and fire, though opposites
we be. If we had not ever, come together.
~
I would still be drifting in the sea of love. Just
another lonely glacier - drifting aimlessly...

Happiness
Take a gamble with your heart
Take a chance on happiness
Odds are on your better half
You'll be glad you placed the bet
Think it over - what's to lose?
All the odds are in your favour
Play your cards right - no excuse
You know life is what you make it
Scared to move case you get shortchanged
But nothing venture, baby - nothing gained
Take a gamble with your heart
Take a chance on happiness
Toss a coin or turn a card
Time to give those blues a rest
Play for keeps - bet your life
I see loving in your future
You'll never know if you don't try
Missionary or kama sutra?
If there's room for you to improve
There's only one thing left for you to do
Take a gamble with your heart
Take a chance on happiness
Take the plunge - leap in the dark
Put your instincts to the test
Take a gamble with your heart
Take a chance on happiness
Turn or leave me - coming start
Find out what you like the best
Take a gamble with your heart........

In the spirit of Rumi - 14
I will create you,
I shall name you;
I will show you happiness; then
I shall show you sorrow;
I will show you sorrow; then
I shall show you happiness;
and in the one, you shall know
the more about the other;
I will show you rest; and
I shall show you restlessness;
and in experiencing one,
you shall know more of the other;
I will show you all that is old; and
I shall surprise you with all that seems new;
I will show you the Unchanging and Eternal, and
I shall show you the changing and the impermanent;
and when you have tasted both of these
you will know more of Me;
I will have you taste the One;
I shall have you taste the many;
and when you have tasted both of these
you shall know more of Me;
I shall show you every opposite that you or I can name,
for I am, all opposites;
and when you have known all opposites
you will know Me beyond all opposites;
I will show you love, and
I shall show you lack of love;
and knowing these, you will become
all the more the loving; and
although you will forget my love for you,
I shall never cease to love myself in you; and
although you will deny your love for Me, or that I exist,
I shall never cease to love myself in you;
but as lovers do, I shall tease you; for
so lovers show each other their true heart;
and so, you will know, as lovers do,
that you are Me and I am you;
I will show to you My smile of love;
I shall speak to you My love’s message.
And if you ask more of Me than all these,
I will show you glory upon glory;
and if you ask yet more of Me than this,
I shall brush you with an angel’s wing
and pour out the honey of my love for you
and show you, dazzled by the world, how you are yet Myself.

You Bet Your Life
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Just another hunter, like a wolf in the sun
Just another junkie on a scoring run
Just another victim of the things he has done
Just another day -- in the life of a loaded gun
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life
Just another winner, pours his life down the drain
Just another island in a hurricane
Just another loser, like a cat in the rain
Just another day -- in the path of a speeding train
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life
Anarchist reactionary running-dog revisionist
Hindu muslim catholic creation/evolutionist
Rational romantic mystic cynical idealist
Minimal expressionist post-modern neo-symbolist
Armchair rocket scientist graffiti existentialist
Deconstruction primitive performance photo-realist
Be-bop or a one-drop or a hip-hop lite-pop-metallist
Gold adult contemporary urban country capitalist
Just another gypsy with a plastic guitar
Just another dancer with her eyes on the stars
Just another dreamer who was going too far
Just another drunk -- at the wheel of a stolen car
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life
