Quatrain #492 - If You Don't Spend
If you don't spend you don't live
If you don't work you don't earn
If you don't share you don't give
If you don't look you don't learn.

Prudence
Seek not the things that others seek;
Say not the words that others speak;
Do not the works that others do;
Just do the ones that well suit you.
Live not the ways that others live;
Give not the things that others give;
Learn not the ways that others learn;
Earn not the ways that others earn.
Think not the ways that others think;
Ink not the way that others ink;
Sing not the way that others sing;
Do just things that contentment bring.
Take just the things in others good;
Eat just the needed healthy food;
Copy what is exemplary;
Just take what you can well carry!

What is important for kids to learn is that no matter how much money they have, earn, win, or inherit, they need to know how to spend it, how to save it, and how to give it to others in need. This is what handling money is about, and this is why we give kids an allowance.

This Is Payment Price This Poet Pays
My friend is a salary man luckily gainfully employed
five days a week for eight hours a day he earns his pay.
I also for decades worked my days for weekly monthly pay.
I studied hard put in extra time to fully earn my worker pay,
years sped by I worked and worked to earn hard earned pay,
now for a time a time and a half I do not work this way.
I write I write each day by day or through long night.
I work far harder than I did employed in salary fight.
I live on savings hard earned to earn a right to write.
I charge not chance reader read or read not just as you like.
I work I sacrifice to give gift of love as free as stars above.
I give in time in thought in words in wisdom I give in love.

Be harmless if not useful.
Either earn with arrogance
And spend with charity
Or earn with prudence
And spend with meanness.
So you can be useful
Or harmless to others.

A Last Appeal
KNOWING our needs, hardly knowing our powers,
Hear how we cry to you, brothers of ours!--
Brothers in nature, pulse, passions, and pains,
Our sins in you, and your blood in our veins.
First in your palace, or last in our den,
Basest or best, we are all of us men!
Justice eternal cries out in our name,
What is the least common manhood can claim?
'Food that we make for you,
Money we earn:
Give us our share of them--
Give us our turn.'
Landowners, bankers, and merchants, we make
Out of our lives this new wealth that you take.
Have we earned only such pitiful dole
As just holds worn body to desolate soul?
When that soul is bewildered each day and perplext
With the problem of how to get bread for the next,
Is it better to end it, as some of us do,
Or to fight it out bravely, still calling to you--
'Food that we make for you,
Money we earn:
Give us our share of them--
Give us our turn'?
Ever more passionate grows our demand--
Give us our share of our food and our land:
Give us our rights, make us equal and free--
Let us be all we are not, but might be.
Our sons would be honest, our daughters be pure,
If our wage were more certain, your vices less sure--
Oh, you who are forging the fetters we feel,
Hear our wild protest, our maddened appeal--
'Food that we make for you,
Money we earn:
Give us our share of them--
Give us our turn.'
Hear us, and answer, while Time is your friend,
Lest we be answered by God in the end;
Lest, when the flame of His patience burns low,
We be the weapon He shapes for His blow--
Lest with His foot on your necks He shall stand,
And appeal that you spurned be new-born as command,
And thunder your doom, as you die by the rod
Of the vengeance of man through the justice of God.
'Food that we make for you,
Money we earn:
Give us our share of them--
Give us our turn.'

Fall Again (demo)
Feels like a fire that burns in my heart
Every single moment that we spend apart
I need you around for every day to start
I havent left you alone
Theres something about you, I stare in your eyes
And everything Im looking for I seem to find
All this time away is killing me inside
I need your love in my life
I wanna spend time till it ends
I wanna fall in you again
Like we did when we first met
I wanna fall with you again
We fought in a battle, nobody won
And now we face a mountain to be overcome
You cant turn away, the past is said and done
I need us to carry on
I wanna spend time till it ends
I wanna fall with you again
Like we did when we first met
I wanna fall with you again
Youll try everything you never thought would work before
When you live, when you love, and you give them your all
You can always give up some more
Baby nothing means anything unless youre here to share with me
I can breathe, I can bleed, I can die in my sleep
Cause youre always there in my dreams
I wanna spend time till it ends
I wanna fall with you again
Like we did when we first met
I wanna fall with you again
I wanna spend time till it ends
I wanna fall with you again
Like we did when we first met
I wanna fall with you again

A Man Could Get Arrested
(tennant/lowe)
--------------
Do it (do it do it do it do it do it...)
Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it...
Do it now do it now do it now do it now do it now do it now do it now
Do it (do it do it do it do it...)
Late on tuesday evening, such a commotion in the street
Someone broke a window, and someones head got beat
A wave of breaking bottles, crashed across the city street
And someone got arrested, for the breach of the peace
If you wanna walk (walk walk walk walk)
Dont talk (talk talk talk talk)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna earn (earn earn earn earn)
Learn (learn learn learn)
How to do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it do it)
And if you wanna ride (ride ride ride ride)
Dont hide (dont hide)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna stay (stay stay stay)
Dont say (say say say)
Prove it! (prove it prove it prove it prove it prove it prove it)
How much longer are you gonna sit and talk to me?
You got so many problems and a split personality
You want to see a doctor before our love is tested
How much longer a man could get arrested?
If you wanna walk (walk walk walk walk)
Dont talk (talk talk talk talk)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna earn (earn earn earn earn)
Learn (learn learn learn learn)
How to do it! (do it do it do it do it do it)
And if you wanna ride (ride ride ride ride)
Dont hide (hide hide hide hide hide)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it)
And if you wanna stay (stay stay stay)
Dont say (say say say)
Prove it! (prove it prove it prove it prove it prove it prove it)
Youve got your health, youve got everything, thats what my doctor said
You may not have much cash, but youve got a roof over your head
Of course I said I loved you, not just cause you insisted
How much longer a man could get arrested?
If you wanna walk (walk walk walk walk)
Dont talk (talk talk talk talk)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna earn (earn earn earn earn)
Learn (learn learn learn learn)
How to do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna ride
Dont hide
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it)
If you wanna stay (stay stay stay stay stay)
Dont say (say say say say say say)
Do it! (do it do it)
Do it! (do it do it do it do it do it do it)
Why dont, why dont we do it now?
Do it now?
Why dont, why dont we do it now?
Why dont we do it now?
Why dont, why dont we do it now?
Why dont we do it now?
Why dont we do it now?

Get up, go to work, go home, go to bed
Get up, go to work, go home, go to bed
Is this what life's all about I said?
Work, work, work every single day
Just to earn enough my bills to pay.
Surely life must be much more than this
Someone tell me what the purpose is.
Then, 'You can have life abundantly'
I heard the Lord Jesus say to me.
'I am the door: if you enter in
then your new life with me will begin.
These things of earth will just pass away
but the life I give is here to stay.'
So I turned around and followed Him
and my life was no longer so grim.
I still have to work to earn my pay
but He gives a purpose to each day.
All For One
(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
All for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
Theres no need to live on an island
Cause everyone here respects your opinion
It all adds up to
Its your strength we need
So get behind and push
If you dont want to lead
Cause its all for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
I dont know your future plans
But divided Im sure
You will not stand
I said all that to say
Theres an easier way
If its love that we share
Then theres no debt to pay
Cause we are all down here under the sky
Wont you try
Wont you try
Were all down here
Youre not alone
Youve been pushing and pulling and shoving
Since the day you were born
So lets try
All for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
And a smile will appear on your face
Cause suddenly, suddenly the world is a beautiful place
Cause its all for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
All for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
All for one and one for all
Lets try, lets try
You live, you give, you have a ball
All for one and one for all
You live, you give, you have a ball
If its love that we share
Love that we share
Its one for all
All for one and one for all
Get down inside
Together

What Do You Do With Your 'Day And Night'?
I live the day to dream the night
As I dream the night to live the day
I work the day to rest the night
As I rest the night to work the day
I pain the day to gain the night
As I gain the night to pain the day
I give the day to earn the night
As I earn the night to give the day
Life is all about time
As time is all about day and night...

Learn
when broken
learn
when happy
learn
when bored
learn
when you float and does not know what to do
learn just the same
when filled with idealism
learn
when fed with what you cannot swallow
learn again
when the times get rough and you want to kill yourself
learn, learn, learn
you still have many things to learn
faces of life
bodies of life
learn, learn, learn everything
do not surrender
for in truth, you do not do what you only want
you will also do what you are told to do
no questions asked
or you will be left out
or you will be not a part of the picture
this life
learn, learn, learn, always learn
do not surrender
live, learn, live, learn
you will soon do all that others will tell you
learn, learn and learn again
and sooner you will have learned everything
and then do what you want to do
with firm conviction
you know now what is right
and that is what you will do,
now without even being told
you have become yourself
but still learn, learn, and learn again
because
you might be wrong,
try thinking some more, learn
relearn, learn, learn, learn, forevermore....

Living Large In Poverty
All things being equal I'd rather be rich,
However, thing don't always work out,
So I'm resigned to spend my time in poverty,
Working in the dirt and grime.
Why, or why me Lord, I may ask,
Gently proding the almighty for just one task,
I wondered if it would be possible,
Just bless me temporarily the ability to pay my bills,
Then I will be a changed fellow.
I then figured then that money was my problem.
What I didn't realize then,
But I do now,
It isn't a matter of money,
It is a matter of know how.
Now matter how you work,
You may never get ahead,
And then there are people who just work themselves dead.
I looked in the mirror and then decided,
Give me the poverty,
And all I need is the serenity,
To be able to live comfortably,
Now, I live with my means,
Not wanting for things,
And I'm very happy.
You may ask, what did I learn?
I will say, ' Living in poverty is not so bad,
Especially if you have a rich dad! '

Time of Love
Listen to my heart
It ticks like a clock
It is all I have to give
My heart is my time
I’ll give you my heart
And fill that time with kindness
I’ll fill that time with caring
If I had no money
All I would have to give you is my time
Is that enough?
It’s all I have to give
When you lay down your life
You give all your time
And where you spend your time
Is where you spend your heart
For tomorrow is not a promise
That is what they say
If I share my heart with you today
Will you share yours with me?
Until the end of time?
That is what love is to me.

Whispering lips
when we touch each other the flower bloom,
the butterfly sip and the bees dance for
joy
when we hold our hands together, the moon
and star brighten the night
when we close our lips, near to our lips, the
minute of time becomes a moment of
everlasting memories
when we bring our two hearts in the altar of
matrimony, we forget our own identity and
learn to love, tell death do as part
when we share our victory that lives we
take and live is something to believe, we learn
to offer ourselves for us to grow
when we know that leaving is living with you,
till etenity brings, our lives learn to give
and share the best we can do
when we have a chance to meet again,
remember always that, i will always give my
whole life to you
when everything says goodbye.....my heart
will always treasure your soul, the essence of
your love is my destiny‘s end

Points Of Authority
Forfeit the game before somebody else, takes you out of the frame, puts your
Name to shame
Cover up your face, you cant run the race, the pace is too fast, you just
Wont last
You love the way I look at you
While taking pleasure in the awful things you put me through
You take away if I give in
My life my pride is broken
You like to think youre never wrong
You have to act like youre someone
You want someone to hurt like you
You want to share what youve been through (you live what you learn)
You love the things I say Ill do
The way Ill hurt myself again just to get back at you
You take away when I give in
My life my pride is broken
You like to think youre never wrong
You have to act like youre someone
You want someone to hurt like you
You want to share what youve been through (you live what you learn)

Sonnet- What’s Life Truth?
The Sun bestows its light during the day;
The Moon's mirror reflects the same at night;
In life, we learn to give others some way;
Or help others see life in God's true light.
In life, we give others more than we take;
Mind you, we bring nothing with us at birth;
The flour God gives determines what we bake,
And when we cease, we go to Mother Earth.
Why slog all life to earn a wealth we leave?
'Tis wiser sharing it with those who live;
The yarn of life decides fabric we weave;
'Tis wise to take lesser and more to give.
True happiness on earth is when we give,
Our excess wealth to men, struggling to live.

I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
Never bother who created man
I enjoy life as I can
People tell me, Get up early
I sleep late,
So go to hell
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
Somewhere I read,
pray to god
I don’t have any time for that
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
Mother says take care of health
I say most important is wealth
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
Preachers preach,
Never be phony, Live honestly
I say fool as many
Being honest is being lousy
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
My goal is money
Even if have to kill somebody
Life without money
Is bee without honey
I’m a busy man, I earn as I can
I met with an accident
Nobody lent a helping hand
I realized, I was disliked
I thought with all the might
To make life happy
One has to live rightly
Greed is worst for life
With it one can never rise
I’m a changed man
Contentment is my ambition
Now, I never earn as I can

Learn to speak to have your say
Know your rights beyond the horizon bound.
Know you’re lost when they claim you’re found
