September Song
born 19.6.32 - deported 24.9.42
Undesirable you may have been, untouchable
you were not. Not forgotten
or passed over at the proper time.
As estimated, you died. Things marched,
sufficient, to that end.
Just so much Zyklon and leather, patented
terror, so many routine cries.
(I have made
an elegy for myself it
is true)
September fattens on vines. Roses
flake from the wall. The smoke
of harmless fires drifts to my eyes.
This is plenty. This is more than enough.

Not Forgotten Or Passed Over
Not forgotten or past over, though
the numbers simply can’t be comprehended,
which is the reason why we tend to know
far more about the way that Anne’s life ended
than of the way six million died, with smoke
of harmful fires drifting from our eyes,
unseen except within the minds that choke.
How sad that when a single person dies,
by hate and senseless prejudice bereaved,
we say, “This must not happen, ” but pass over
the victims of mass murder, debriefed
by those who claim to understand Jehovah.

A Time Management Plan....What really happens
September 3,2008, just 6 weeks left to wait
Mind was becoming queerer, as exams were approaching nearer
So books were taken out and chapters were listed
Notes were made, revised and gisted
But oh! it was just september,1 month still left to practice and remember
I thought, 'it won't be too late, if i start studying at a later date
So flushed with joy, ii made it clearer, will sit to study when exams approach nearer
So on the calendar, I slashed 11, and this queen was back to its heaven
September 11,2008,5 weeks left up straight
But this time, I gave plenty reasons to excuse, for not to study in exam blues
Friends always waiting to chat, gossip about
Plus my bro can't here the T.V. less loud
And then I've to practice for a competition
Mind is boggling with frustration
I annonced, 'No big deal, since I've plenty work to do
I'll start studying from 22
September 22,2008, hardly weekly left to anticipate
This time I did make a start, but things now
seem to fall apart
I planned to study all the time, everywhere
Roaming on th terrace, sitting on the chair
but no result came out in despair
Still 20 chaters left to revise, hundreds of notes unsummarised
In such great frustration, I began to loose concentration
Now all learnt forgotten, under heaps of hopes laden
When I was just about to disintegrate
I realised 'Now its too late...
Had I made an early start, I would have definitely made it upto the mark
So...
To Accomplish Tasks In A Better Way
Start Right Here, Right Now, TODAY

Lonely God Behind My Eyes
There is a lonely God behind my eyes
Who still cries for you who are so far
Away, like a lost child forgotten who she is,
Her identity soothed away by time
So she becomes someone else’s child,
Though my God remembers how she played
Before him once or twice in the early days
Before the world was fully formed—
There is a lonely God behind my eyes
Who screams at things because you can not
Hear him, who hates everything he sees
And wanders far up into the glacial lakes
Of my cranium where he sits on a nameless
Stone and cries your name, the word
That would set him free if he saw you dressed
In the fine syllables your parents christened
You with. There is a lonely God behind
My eyes who has tried to commit suicide
Just because he no longer believed he existed,
Because he knows not a thing to be true
Except that you have walked away, like a
Ghost shed of identity, so now you float down
The roads and caress nameless men thoughtlessly,
Forever and ever forgetting how your love
Was the fulcrum for this creation, how
Everything began to bloom as you opened
Your eyes. There is a lonely God behind my
Eyes who still cries for you who holds the
Key, who has forgotten.

Remembering 9/11
September 11,2001
Starting the day
With the rising sun
We rushed around
At the break of day
How many of us
Remembered to pray?
The day began as all days do
No differently for me and you
The rush of traffic,
The clank of trains,
The ringing of phones,
The roar of planes.
Then horror struck
Terror from the sky
Buildings fell,
We questioned why
We stopped, we watched
As planes collide
The gasps, the screams
To God we cried.
September 11,2011
We mourn our loved ones
Now in Heaven
The years have passed
Though things have changed
Routines returned
Lives rearranged
Have we truly
Changed our lives?
Do we honor daily
Those who died?
Do we now remember
At the start of the day
To take the time
To stop and pray?

April Drifts
April drifts are far away
October spins a tale tall
August just passed on its way
Watching September in deep thought of lost fall
October spins a tale tall
As if it always had a say!
To top the best of its recall
Perhaps it was its multifaceted way! !
August just passed on its way.....
Tall and stubborn as ever as if to flay!
All who dared to disobey!
Taking nature through wild winds that fray!
Watching September in deep thought of lost fall
Made me stop and talk to all
Trying to as much as I could recall
Of the facts stored away of the turmoil....
April drifts are far away
October spins a tale tall!

Not Just Sometimes But Always
There is a long forgotten voice
I know it's not your voice, cause it's always strained
I wake up hearing unfamiliar voices
Convinced they're trying to explain
That if my words were clearer
Then maybe I would know what I'm trying to say
Just as those long forgotten voices
Disappear back into rain
If I was born the same day that you died
Should that make me try
I was born the same day that you died
Should that make me feel more alive
Not just sometimes but always
I know what I know
I know what I know
I know what I know
I tune the radio to drown out these voices I don't know
I'm suddenly an empty house, that almost fills up with home
There are days and nights, when I don't need to close my eyes
And they feel as real to me like analogy in disguise
If I was born the same day that you died
Should that make me try
I was born the same day that you died
Should that make me feel more alive
Not just sometimes but always
I know what I know
I know what I know
I know what I know
Not just sometimes but always
I know what I know
I know what I know
I know what I know

Little Cowboys Cry
(monte thomas)
Theres a little boy on his knees beside his bed
With a cowboy hat upon his bowed head
Tryin to keep the tears in his eyes
And his heart breaks as the little cowboy cries
As the cowboy cries
He says God forgive me please
I didnt want my daddy to leave
And I promise to be good this time
But his heart breaks as the little cowboy cries
Theres another heart in pain outside his door
His momma heard him cry as she walked the floor
Her love for his daddy has died
And her heart breaks as her little cowboy cries
As her cowboy cries
She says God forgive me please
I know I made him leave
But the pain will go away in time
But her heart breaks as her little cowboy cries
In a smoky little bar way downtown
His daddy is drinkin whiskey down
Tryin to kill the pain he feels inside
And his heart breaks as his little cowboy cries
And his cowboy cries
He says God forgive me please
I know I had to leave
Things havent been good for a long, long time
And his heart breaks as his little cowboy cries
As his cowboy cries
As his cowboy cries
As his cowboy cries
As his cowboy cries
As the cowboy cries
As the cowboy cries
As the cowboy cries
As the cowboy cries

Inspired By A Radio Story
Monarch butterflies were flitting above the smoke
And one of the New York firemen dousing the still smouldering ashes spoke
Saying those are the souls of the many who died here
On silent wings to heaven's gate they near.
The souls of those who died on that September day
Towards a better World now slowly wing their way
Of all sufferings and troubles now quite free
For to re-live in love and joy and harmony.
The smoke from the smouldering ashes their souls did release
And they now can live forever more in peace
In that paradise somewhere beyond the skies
The fireman wiped the teardrops from his eyes.
On September the eleventh New York's blackest day
When tragedy came to the U.S.A.
The great Twin Towers by aerial terrorists destroyed
And the souls still live of all of those who died.
Butterflies flew towards the sunlight above the clouds of smoke
And his comrades listened as the fireman spoke
And said those are the souls of the people who died here
On silent wings towards heaven's gate they near.

The Fires
Men make them fires on the hearth
Each under his roof-tree,
And the Four Winds that rule the earth
They blow the smoke to me.
Across the high hills and the sea
And all the changeful skies,
The Four Winds blow the smoke to me
Till the tears are in my eyes.
Until the tears are in my eyes.
And my heart is wellnigh broke
For thinking on old memories
That gather in the smoke.
With every shift of every wind
The homesick memories come,
From every quarter of mankind
Where I have made me a home.
Four times a fire against the cold
And a roof against the rain --
Sorrow fourfold and joy fourfold
The Four Winds bring again!
How can I answer which is best
Of all the fires that burn?
I have been too often host or guest
At every fire in turn.
How can I turn from any fire,
On any man's hearthstone?
I know the wonder and desire
That went to build my own!
How can I doubt man's joy or woe
Where'er his house-fires shine.
Since all that man must undergo
Will visit me at mine?
Oh, you Four Winds that blow so strong
And know that his is true,
Stoop for a little and carry my song
To all the men I knew!
Where there are fires against the cold,
Or roofs against the rain --
With love fourfold and joy fourfold,
Take them my songs again!

Fizzled Life At Stake
Who he is that can save? Come, deliver
Where is my safety? Where am I safe in this life?
Every minute of my life I languish in pain and sickness.
I tremble for the quakes of the vagaries of life
Who is he that can tell of my story? Is it you?
No there's none among men with such feat
It is too hard a nut to crack. Still I'm destined to bear it.
Who shall sing of my elegy? Who are they that care to listen?
Every moment of my life I'm in sorrow.
In my eating hours there always a dropp of tear in my tears.
My best companion of life has become but grief
Have I but become a sacrificial lamb?
At least I should have been considered a human.
The wailing of my heart becomes greater of Jeremiah's
Job's encounter is only but a spark of my visitations
Every moment of my life I'm in sorrow. In waking hours flows the avalanche of tears of bitterness in my heart.
Even in my sleeping hours I have nightmares
I see myself a fly being caught in a vicious cobweb.
Any attempt to detach a leg, pins it securely more on a sticky-stand.
Accurse be the day I was born. For it were better I was not born.
Let confusion lay hold of that day of birth the child of affliction was born.
Let terror more terrible than terror lay siege of that day
It were better I had passed through the discharges of my mother
By now all the memories of my being would have being forgotten
Woe to that womb that bore the child of affliction
It shall remain barren for seven generation unborn.
Oh! My souls take thy rest in the bosom of the Most High.

The Untouchable
Long ago
a
silhouette
was
planted
in my
minds
eye.
a face
so
vague
untouchable.
time went
by,
features
emerged
holding
as a
precious
gem
untouchable.
being
tucked away
to a
secret
place.
not to
be
revealed
so
untouchable.
now in
the distance
you
stand
with
a tear
in your
eye.
perhaps
waiting
in
the
balcony
yet
still
so
untouchable.

The Murder Of William Remington
It is true, that even in the best-run state
Such things will happen; it is true,
What’s done is done. The law, whereby we hate
Our hatred, sees no fire in the flue
But by the smoke, and not for thought alone
It punishes, but for the thing that’s done.
And yet there is the horror of the fact,
Though we knew not the man. To die in jail,
To be beaten to death, to know the act
Of personal fury before the eyes can fail
And the man die against the cold last wall
Of the lonely world—and neither is that all:
There is the terror too of each man’s thought,
That knows not, but must quietly suspect
His neighbor, friend, or self of being taught
To take an attitude merely correct;
Being frightened of his own cold image in
The glass of government, and his own sin,
Frightened lest senate house and prison wall
Be quarried of one stone, lest righteous and high
Look faintly smiling down and seem to call
A crime the welcome chance of liberty,
And any man an outlaw who aggrieves
The patriotism of a pair of thieves.

She Laughed
I don’t know what happened but the one I used to make laugh all the time now just cries. I buy her roses to make her smile but instead she cries and says they remind her of when her mother died. I tell her a funny story and she just stares and sighs. I remember her laugh it would fill the room joy. She smiled and laughed most when she was with our boy. But cancer took him when he was only 3 and a half they he died so did her laugh.
Join Up
Choking smoke
Rolling thunder
The forgotten soldier
Still cries for his mother
Crouching still
with blood stench steaming
The forgotten soldier
Has lost all feeling.
Shocked eyes glance
From corpse strewn clay
Where wide eyed shattered
children lay
Time stands still
With no solid floor
He is reborn -
To face the eternal war.
Golden Roses
Golden Roses just for you,
anyone can give red roses,
theres plenty around,
for you white roses,
won't do.
Golden Roses just for you,
none other will do,
for someone special
so rare and true.
Golden Roses just for you,
dipped in pure gold,
just as your heart
has dipped your love into mine,
and shall not depart.

Aura
I sit in the black leather chair
meditating
on the plume of smoke that rises
in the air,
riffling the pages of my life
as if it were a book of poems,
flipping through
past & future.
If I go back, back, back,
riding the plume of smoke,
I find I died
in childbirth in another life,
died by fire in the life before that,
died by water twice, or more.
I pick out days
& relive them
as if I were trying on dresses.
When the future beckons,
I follow,
riding another plume of smoke,
feeling the barrier
between skin & air
evaporate,
& my body disappear
like the myth it is.
My cheeks burn against the air,
flaming where two elements collide
& intermingle
becoming one.
Oh explosion at the body's edge!
I live on a ledge of time,
gazing
at the infinite.
