People Expect Too Much From Me

people expect me to be perfect,
because i'm smart,
people expect me to get good grades,
because of all the hard work i put in,
people expect me to have my own business,
because i can be talented and creative,
people expect me to be a push over,
rather than a girl who speaks her mind,
people expect me to be something i'm not,
but all i can be is only myself,
people expect me to deal with life,
i can only deal with it the best i can,
people expect me to handle more than i can,
but who is it really for or what do i have to prove?

but did they ever stop to think of what i wanted?

No Compassion
In a world
Where people have problems
In this world
Where decisions are a way of life
Other peoples problems they overwhelm my mind
They say compassion is a virtue, but I dont have the time
So many people...have their problems
Im not interested...in their problems
I guess ive...experienced some problems
But now ive...made some decisions
Takes a lot of time to push away the nonsense
Take my compassion...push it as far as it goes
My interest levels dropping, my interest level is dropping
Ive heard all I want to, I dont want to hear any more
What are you, in love with your problems?
I think you take it...a little too far
Its...not so cool to have so many problems
But dont expect me to explain your indecisions
Go...talk to your analyst, isnt that what theyre paid for
You walk, you talk...you still function like you used to
Its not a question...of your personality or style
Be a little more selfish, it might do you some good

how much will you be able to understand of me?
i may play it off as the girl just like you,
but, deep under i'm dealing with my own problems,
i use to be afriad to let them show,
only because i seen it as a weakness,
but not showing how you really feeling,
is your weakness,
you critize yourself for not being perfect,
when nobody in this world really is,
why not go your own way?
forget trying to be like the cool person in school,
they only cool cuz they went there own way,
they did what they like to do,
if we were all the same,
what would we ever learn?
we are different for a reason,
the people who can understand,
what it like to be different,
can see where i'm coming from,
we try our hardest to be something,
maybe it is me for not accepting what god given me,
but, now i see his purpose,
at first it seemed unfair,
to go through life being different from other children,
but, now i see, they don't have what i have,
there life has been pretty easy growing up,
they may only have to deal with kids problems,
but having to deal with adult like problems,
since i was 8, gets kind of tiring,
i had more responsibility that i wanted to.
