Cuckoo Song

(Spring begins in southern England on the 14th April, on which date the Old Woman lets the Cuckoo out of her basket at Heathfield Fair -- locally known as Heffle Cuckoo Fair.)

Tell it to the locked-up trees,
Cuckoo, bring your song here!
Warrant, Act and Summons, please,
For Spring to pass along here!
Tell old Winder, if he doubt,
Tell him squat and square -- a!
Old Woman!
Old Woman!
Old Woman's let the Cuckoo out
At Heffle Cuckoo Fair -- a!

March has searched and April tried --
'Tisn't long to Mary now.
Not so far to Whitsuntide
And Cuckoo's come to stay now!
Hear the valiant fellow shout
Down the orchard bare -- a!
Old Woman!
Old Woman!
Old Woman's let the Cuckoo out
At Heffle Cuckoo Fair -- a!

When your heart is young and gay
And the season rules it --
Work your works and play your play
'Fore the Autumn cools it!
Kiss you turn and turn-about,
But my lad, beware -- a!
Old Woman!
Old Woman!
Old Woman's let the Cuckoo out
At Heffle Cuckoo Fair -- a!

Cuckoo in the Pear-Tree

The Cuckoo sat in the old pear-tree,
Cuckoo!
Raining or snowing, nought cared he.
Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo, nought cared he.

The Cuckoo flew over a housetop high.
Cuckoo!
"Dear, are you at home, for here am I?
Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo, here am I."

"I dare not open the door to you.
Cuckoo!
Perhaps you are not the right cuckoo?
Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cukoo, the right Cuckoo!"

"I am the right Cuckoo, the proper one.
Cuckoo!
For I am my father's only son,
Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo, his only son."

"If you are your father's only son -
Cuckoo!
The bobbin pull tightly,
Come through the door lightly -
Cuckoo!

"If you are your father's only son -
Cuckoo!
It must be you, the only one -
Cuckoo, cuckoo, my own Cuckoo!
Cuckoo!"

The real woman

Look for that real woman,
so beautiful as was made,
so shiny just like the stars of the night,
so original not like the picture woman.

I call them real for they;
know's their worth,
i call them real 'cos they respect,
even the last breath of their nostri.
I do call them real 'cos they are always proud of being a woman even in the den of men.

Not just a make-up-mask wearing woman,
but a woman of virtuous and dignity,
so strong and brilliant,
not even shieveried by the voice of the day nor the terror in the night.
Call them the real woman,
and they will keep being for real.

What is a Real Woman

How would you judge her
would she wear her hair natural
or sit in the beauty parlor with her
new do, feet, and nails done too.
What is a real woman,
highly educated
or a young woman uneducated
but educated with street knowledge
would that be acceptable too.?
Is the real woman one that has gone to jail
a choice she made to
feed her kids,
survival was her game. .
What is a real woman
who’s obedient to your call
meets all your demands
or one who feisty,
knows how to take a stand.
What is a real woman,
one that saved when she in church
or the one that's a blessing
to your life atleast.
any way or anyhow
What is a real woman
a woman who knows all ways to please you
or the one who pleases you because she loves you
whatever she will be in your life.
if not already your wife.
What is a real woman
Does she have your babies
nuture and love them
or does she not have them
because she rather have you.
What is a real woman
does she need a man to define her name
horrible names,
you have called her
she choose not to remember.
Friends couldn't call her those names,
for they all would fear.
Her name glorious
as it weren’t perfect
Define a real woman
a name we've all been called.
Define
A Real Woman?
We all have a testimony
Do I Care?

The Cuckoo Clock

The cuckoo flew out of the clock
and landed on the arm chair.
It looked me in the eye and said,
“I’m not going back in there!

People expect too much of me,
going back and forth all day.
I’m not going back inside.
No! Never! No way.

The clock’s none stop ticking
has made my head feel sore
Calling ‘cuckoo’ 24-7 it’s too much,
I’m not doing it any more.

I want to breathe the fresh air,
and feel the rain and sun.
I want to be able to fly around
and enjoy proper cuckoo fun.

I should be leaving my eggs
here, there, and everywhere.
Eating lots of juicy worms,
and being free without a care.

What do you mean I’m not real
and I’m only made of wood?
Of course I am; I call out ‘cuckoo’
like every cuckoo should.

Just put me on the windowsill
and I’ll show you how I can fly.
Why..? I can’t move my wings,
no matter how much I try.

And I can’t call out ‘cuckoo’,
my ‘cuckoo’ cry has gone.
My head and body won’t move,
and my wings won’t open.

Oh dear, what am I to do?
I’m just a piece of wood.
I’ve been shaped like a bird
and my paint job’s not so good.

I’ve a spring sticking out my bottom
and my feathers aren’t feathers at all.
I haven’t a sound to call my own,
and when I try to fly I fall…

Will you please put me back in the clock?
It’s the only place I can call my home.
I’ll be happy to remind you of the time,
and I promise never again to moan.

Beauty of A Woman

The beauty of a woman
is not in the clothes she wears,
the figure she carries,
or the way she combs her hair;

and...

The beauty of a woman
is not in a facial mole, but...
true beauty of a woman
is reflected in her soul.
The care that she gives, and...
the passion she shows; would be the...
beauty of a woman's character that grows.

Phenomenal Woman: A Lady with love.
Phenomenal Woman: An Angel above.
Phenomenal Woman: An Image of God.
Respectful, kind, and not of a facade.

A Poet with love; her age just a number,
this Woman of God would NEVER slumber.

Cuckoo Clock

We knew it must have been late
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
We had no time to wait
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I went to light the fireplace
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I planned it all this way, and
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I snuggled close to her
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
Her heart began to purr
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I held my breath inside, and then
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I put my arms around her
(tick-tock)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo
I put that birdie away
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
His cuckoo was gone to stay
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
We both apologized for why
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
Forgave that doggone cuckoo
I went back to her side
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I had to swallow my pride
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
The fire had almost died away
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
We just got situated
(tick-tock)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo
I took that clock apart
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
I broke the cuckoos heart
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
Hell never bother us again
(tick-tock, tick-tock)
We just forgot about him
(tick-tock)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo (go away silly bird)
Cuckoo, cuckoo

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.

Cuckoo!

In woods so long time bare
Cuckoo!
Up and in the wood, I know not where
Two notes fall.
Yet I do not envy him at all
His phantasy.
Cuckoo!
I too,
Somewhere,
I have sung as merrily as he
Who can dare,
Small and careless love, so to laugh at care,
And who
Can call
Cuckoo!
In woods of winter weary,
In scented woods, of winter weary, call
Cuckoo!
In woods so long time bare.

So Little Kindness

I cant believe it after so long
How can the memories really be gone
Now I dont deny its over
But why must you be so cold
I cant believe it
So little kindness
Yeah baby thats too bad
Saw you this evening out on the town
You went outta your way just to put me down
Now why got this chip on your sholder
When I dont even love you no more
I cant belive it
So little kindness
Baby its sad
cause we cont even talk about the little things
After this love we had
So little kindness
Baby thats too bad
So sad child child
Dont worry baby
Im not gonna stand in your way
Now that its gone
Our love is strong
No matter what you say
So little kindness
Youre so blind
That you cant even recognize a real thing
When it was yours and mine
So little kindness
After all this time
So little kindness
Baby its sad
Cause we cant even talk about anything
After what we once had
So little kindness
So little kindness
So little kindness
Im looking for some kindness
I need some kindness
Can I just have some kindness
Give me some kindness

Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Ohhhhh
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman that I wanna be
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman in me I see (I see)
As I look in, look in the mirror I see
Life is really here to be with me, oh
I can see myself getting stronger everyday
I'm not the same woman I used to be
So now I tell myself I am thinkin strong
I see the beauty lying within my soul
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman that I wanna be
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman in me I see (I see)
When I love myself I can do whatever I want
Doesn't matter what you do to me, do to me
Honest people, there's a possibility
To tell you my real reality
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman that I wanna be (I wanna be)
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman in me I see (woman in me baby)
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Doo doo da da da da da
Can you see the woman in me
Do you really wanna see the woman in me
Hahha, let me show you
Don't underestimate the woman I become
The woman I am
So now I tell myself that I'm thinkin I'm strong
And I see the beauty lying within my soul
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman that I wanna be (I wanna be)
The face that I see it's the woman in me
It's the woman in me I see (I see)

Kindness

The one that showed me kindness
Was the one that taught me kindness
Though I did not recognize it
Still I might have died without it
And when I awakened
It was too late to thank her
If I live someday Ill make repayment
And show someone the kindness she showed me
When my voice grows strident
When I feel important
Im reminded of that kindness
And where Id be without it
Im learning my lessons
It may take me a lifetime
Give me strength to justify my being
And show someone the kindness shown to me

The Rose

the rose is a beauty to behold
it is loved by most women on this earth
is it because the rose is like a woman?
when it opens up and spreads its petals
it shows the beauty within and the softness to the touch.
yet just like a woman it has its thorns to protect its beauty.
so is the woman who has been betrayed-she will never be the same
she will protect the beauty like a spider protects its web.

so this is what i see.

the beauty of a woman which is locked up inside
will bloom like a rose with nothing to hide.
her beauty will be admired by men of all nations
they'll try to get to her to feel the sensation.
the sensation of knowing she is the one
who could raise the setting sun.
so as men we have to take care
for once we get into their hair
they'll be no way of turning back
until she combs her hair and loosens up the slack.
she will have us like a spider has its web
and suck us dry until we're dead.
but! what a wonderful death it will be
as long as we live in harmony.

Beauty Queen

You are beauty queen
We have never scene
Such a natural flower
As if emerged after rainy shower

You look smart
That appears from very start
You look best in curly hair
Looking lovely and very fair

In your outer show
You are superb with fine glow
But be cautious and go slow
As you still have miles to go

You are still not mature
Uncertain about carrier and future
Many hurdles still to cross over
You may need fine shelter or cover

You want to be gorgeous woman
That may certainly be liked by man
But be aware of imitation
That shows no real reflection

Beauty may be on wane after sometime
That shall be missed by many after sometimes
You may feel bad over lost fragrance
That may be over with young age at once

Be happy with whatever you have
God has given you kind nature to behave
Enjoy your mood with plenty of resources
You are nice woman and real force

Smart Woman

Smart woman (in a real short skirt)
By: jimmy buffett, marshall chapman
1988
This song is about being in my 40's in the 80's. it seems i'm learing more than i'm forgetting.
-- spoken:
"so i told her, ooh you got money of your own? well, that gives me the urge to merge."
Bimbo limbo is where i've been
I know you know that it's wearing me thin
The times are changing, and it's about time
I'm rearrangin' all the guilt in my mind
Chorus:
I'm looking for a smart woman in a real short skirt
Smart woman who knows how to flirt
Smart woman got a mind of her own
Smart woman that'll take me home
Take me home
I'm not your macho kind of guy
But i can be so when i'm feeling shy
Hey, baby, where'd you get your good looks
Ooh, babe, i want to carry your books
Chorus:
I'm looking for a smart woman in a real short skirt
Smart woman who knows how to flirt
Smart woman got a mind of her own
Smart woman that'll take me home
Take me home
Beauty and brains (beauty and brains)
Best of both worlds (best of both worlds)
Think i can change (think i can change)
If you'll be my, be my, be my girl
Chorus:
I'm looking for a smart woman in a real short skirt
Smart woman who knows how to flirt
Smart woman got a mind of her own
Smart woman that'll take me home
Take me home
Chorus:
I'm looking for a smart woman in a real short skirt
Smart woman who knows how to flirt
Smart woman got a mind of her own
Smart woman better take me home
Take me home

My Cuckoo Clock

I bought a cuckoo clock
And glad was I
To hear its tick and tock,
Its dulcet cry.
But Jones, whose wife is young
And pretty too,
Winced when that bird gave tongue:
Cuckoo! Cuckoo!

I have a lady friend
Whom I would wed,
For dalliance should end
In bridal bed.
Until the thought occurred:
Can she be true?
And then I heard that bird:
Cuckoo! Cuckoo!

Though ignorance is bliss
And love be blind,
Faithless may be the kiss
Of womankind.
So now sweet echoes mock
My wish to woo:
Confound that cursed clock!
Cuckoo! Cuckoo!

The beauty of a woman lies in her silence
Rather than her speech
The beauty of a woman lies in her patience
Rather than her inquisitiveness outreach
The beauty of a woman lies in her experience
Rather than her age
The beauty of a woman lies in her veil for awhile
Rather than her face
The beauty of a woman lies in her submission
Rather that her dominance
The beauty of a woman lies in her smile
Rather than her laughter
The beauty of a woman lies in her abode

Rather than herself ever
The beauty of a woman lies in her heart's spring
