How Do We Deal With Prejudice?
even those of us who've worked very hard
at not being prejudiced, have some type of
prejudice remaining. for example:
it could be prejudice by color, over religion,
over political views, concerning sexual orient-
ation.... prejudice against those who have money,
or those who dont! ...etc.
all prejudice is wrong by nature, most of it grounded
in the 'self'... in our own irrational fears, and our
stubborn streak of ignorance....
it's always taught, but doesnt have to be allowed!
it ofen hides under the banner of morality, or the
flags of patriotism...
we battle prejudice by being open minded, being
willing to listen, and learning to see ourselves
in other people...
if we say we have no prejudices, we have lost,
and prejudice has us bound.
if we admit our prejudices, name them, look at
them with naked eyes and resolve, then we're making
headway....
prejudice in the end is humanity failing to be human!
being human is a 24 hour a day,7 days a week job!

We are dissipating superstition, ignorance and fear. We are forging courage, will and knowledge. Every striving toward enlightenment is welcome. Every prejudice, caused by ignorance, is exposed.

Prejudice!
prejudice...
applied ignorance,
often worn under the mask
of religious fanaticism...
spurred on by fear,
often disguised as patriotism...
the sickness, the disease,
that elevates the self
to a higher plane....
the blindness that refuses
to see the likeness in the mirror...
prejudice....
no excuse!

The Knowledge
Insight to what's going on
Information keeps us strong
What you don't know can hurt you bad
Take it from me you'll be walkin around sad
Cryin for a better day
Until you educate for a better way
So if you wanna be in control
Ya gotta get yourself in the know
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Spreading vise don't believe the hype
You don't find the knowledge in a pipe
Too many lives go up in smoke
It's nice to laugh but don't be the joke
To get over get better
Try to be the possessor
Of the one thing we all need in life
To succeed take my advice
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Prejudice No!
Ignorance No!
Bigotry No!
Illiteracy No!
Listen it's up to everyone
If we're gonna change the way the world is run
The way to start is to rid the children of
Prejudice and ignorance
We've gotta teach our kids to read and write
That's the only way to win this fight for life
Education is the goal so
If you wanna be in the know
Get the knowledge
It's the one thing we all need in life

Snail Crossing.... (Part Ten)
when you wrap god up
in a colorless box,
filled with fear, judgement,
and prejudice...
a box that can only be held
by people just like you,
on special occasions,
and with ulterior motives...
you make god the weapon
of your own ignorance!
you dont own god!

It's A Disease
Prejudice is a disease.
Unlike deadly viruses;
West Nile and S.A.R.S
Prejudice does not harm you.
Prejudice is an alcohol,
that brain-washes you.
Makes you think some people
deserve less than you
because they are different.
Just because their skin colour is different
Or because they dress differently.
Maybe because of their differences in religion
or because of their difference in sexuality.
The truth is,
Prejudice may not be able to harm you,
But it is the deadliest disease that ever entered our planet.
It is this disease that gets people murdered,
and then some thrown in jail.
It is this disease that starts gangs against people who are different.
And it is this disease that has our world in a problem today.
So whatever you do,
Never let this disease into your body
or else you life will be gone-forever.
One Disturbed
Seeking an attention,
By the use of offensive means...
Teaches not a thing,
To one disturbed...
By mental dysfunctions.
An ignorance like this has been fostered.
An ignorance has been allowed to flourish.
An ignorance that grows becomes expensive.
Since an ignorance bestows,
A flowing of it that becomes out of control!

Pillars of Truth
walking across the semi-frozen grass with my old dog....
listening to the crunch, the sound of morning birds singing...
watching the sun come up over the horizon, and thinking.
Carlin, like so many others, was right! we are owned.
this quit being a democracy a long time ago.
the rich, the elite, the corporate gods, call all the shots.
they buy both the laws and the lawmakers. they pick the
president...
they use wars, mis-information and fears, to manipulate
the common people. they whip us into patriotic fevers, and
lead us like sheep to the slaughter.
they tie the economy to these wars, and keep us down.
driven by the greed of the oil barons, they use poverty and
ignorance as a whip.
they use racial prejudice to divide us... they fan this prejudice...
they also use religion... encouraging people to believe that everyone
whose beliefs' are different are dangerous.

(V – 2010) The Winners of the Game
Pride & Prejudice
Makes one strong;
Sense & Sensibility
Seems going wrong.
Pride & Prejudice
Rushes with ego;
Sense & Sensibility
Receives the blow.
Pride and Prejudice
Wins the game;
Sense & Sensibility
Loses the same.
It’s not because
The times are unfair
Or that people nowadays
For goodness little care.
It’s just because
The Game is of
Darkening the light,
It’s just because
The Game is of
Losing one’s sight,
It’s just because
The Game is of
Deviating from the right.
So after all
Though Pride and Prejudice
Wins the game
And, Sense & Sensibility
Loses the same
Pride and Prejudice
Remains blind
And, Sense and Sensibility
Remains kind.
A Better Idea
they want to
ban books, ban abortions
ban gay marriages
ban free thinking
and if they could
ban the poor!
i have a better idea!
why dont we
ban wars, ban prejudice
ban offshore drilling
ban the greedy
ban the judgemental
ban ignorance
and just for good measure
ban whaling around the world
for any reason!

Who You Are
Well maybe I dont look like you think I should
And maybe we do nothing alike
Another day and I just dont think that it ever will
Nothings changed through all this time
Nothings changed and I just cant see how this anger still exists but song calms me down, lets put an end to lies and the prejudice
Theres nothing wrong with who you are
Because your not like me
Im sick and tired of ignorance
And all this bigotry
Its not to say that we feel blame
Its not to late to realize were all the same
Stop telling me about your minorities
Stop telling me about superiority
Nothings changed and just cant see how this anger still exists
But time calms me down, lets put an end to lies and the prejudice
Theres nothing wrong with who you are
Because your not like me Im sick and tired of ignorance
And all this bigotry
Its hard to say that we feel blame
Its not too late to realize were all the same
Were all the same, were all the same
Yes we are
Well maybe I dont look like you think I should
And maybe we do nothing alike
Well Im sorry

To enjoy, rules are not required.
Ignorance of raga stood not in my enjoying music.
Ignorance of mudra, the same way,
for dance.
Ignorance of grammar stood not in my enjoying a poem.
Ignorance of beauty, the same way,
for lusting you.

Ignorance
‘Ignorance is bliss'
Ignorance is the hiss
Underneath the anticipation
Sprawled in your inebriation
It is the dagger pierced
In every chest it kissed
Ignorance is
The antithesis.

Common Sense (Truth)
wars are started by men
with agendas... usually profit,
or religious reasons, or both.
the men that start these wars
seldom fight these wars...
they manipulate the masses to
do their dirty work...
these are the elite people that
control our world. their weapons
for control include:
1. poverty
2. ignorance
3. prejudice
4. religion.
if you keep the people struggling
for food and shelter, they wont have
time to stand against you.
if you keep the people ignorant, they
will blindly follow without questioning.
if you divide the people by prejudice,
they will not unite to overthrow.
if you convince them that theirs is
the only true religion, and that God
is on their side, they will commit
unspeakable acts.
the time of wars is over... there can be
no future if we continue.
we must quit chasing riches, and find a
more equitable way to share what we have.
we must be responsible for each other...
we must lay down religious pretensions,
fears, and pride, and become the spiritual
people we are called to be.
we must be human!
