Misfire

Neither here nor there
I do not care who you are.

To know you I gone here and there
The negotiation made between us is not ours.

Talk process is in progress
Wait and see.

You are in the sea facing tide
You are on the land facing storm
You are in the sky missing somewhere.

You are neither here not there
I am wandering and in worry
While you are busy in misfire.

Facing The Door (Life Poem)

Here is life and love, pain and pleasure,
Ten years traversing those steps,
Tired waitress, twelve hours hell,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

Too-jolly Australians on a budget,
Eating soup and dessert, are missing,
The pasta, the best part, it seems,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

Miscreant male constantly corralled,
By his Austrian authoritarian aunt,
Filling her face with a pasta mountain,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

New lovers lost in each other’s eyes,
Carpaccio di salmon slices sharp cold,
Their Gaja Barbaresco lust blood red,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

Old lovers holding hands in silence,
Pasta warm feelings of Taglioni Fratelli,
This Chianti Classico two will soon be one,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

Married couple, on different planes,
Broadcast to their neighbours the plans,
Of loveless friends in lifelong bondage,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s.

Meal memories of two and more,
Of friends and family, work and play,
Life and love and unforgettable moments,
I am facing the door in Fratelli’s

A Man Aint Made Of Stone

(gary burr/robin lerner/franne golde)
I was supposed to be the rock that you could stand on
Stronger than an old oak tree
But all you ever wanted was the one thing
I never let you see -
The tender side of me
I tried to be a mountain, solid and strong
All it took was your leaving to know I was wrong
A man aint made of stone
A man aint made of steel
The way I feel right now
I thought Id never feel
Sometimes all it takes
Is facing the night alone
And thats when you know
A man aint made of stone
In this world of mine
There was no room for weakness
I covered every crack in the wall
But there aint no way that I can keep this secret
Cos when you go like jerico I fall
You thought I wouldnt shatter
Would I even care?
But theres more to what Im made of
Than this broken heart can bare
A man aint made of stone
A man aint made of steel
The way I feel right now
I thought Id never feel
Sometimes all it takes
Is facing the night alone
And thats when you know
A man aint made of stone
Sometimes all it takes
Is facing the night alone
And thats when you know
A man aint made of stone
Thats when you know
A man aint made of stone

Facing Up

Why do you wish to live in an ideal world?
Why do you think, that God will always be there?
Is it so hard to see things like they are?
Maybe one day, you'll stop living in a dream
Maybe not
Why religion, or magic or anything else?
What do you mean, love is not all we need?
Is it so hard to look at death every day?
Maybe one day, you may say this is for real
Maybe not
Facing up
Maybe not
Facing up
What if not?
So many problems of science involved
Complexity and basic principles
Observations of the empty space
Still searching for the final theory
Yeah the final theory
About our fate
Destiny
The dark energy
Facing up
Maybe not
Facing up
What if not?

Marianne

(as interpreted by virgin records japan)
(accuracy is not guaranteed)
I take one look at you
It leaves me breathless
I see your dreams come true
Youre not so restless
Or light, or bright
Marianne
One day I might not care
What happens to me
Your lack of sympathy fails to disturb me
Ive got a life of my own
I remember the day
I thought we couldnt lose
Running round the garden in your mothers shoes
Playing silly sisters
And drinking green tea
On a cold autumn day
Someones car had broken down
The best of summer ends
When you give a celebration
We can leave but we cant really go on
It would spoil the celebration
Anita, all thats left is us facing a life
That goes on as before
One day I might not care
What happens to me
Your lack of sympathy
Fails to disturb me
Ive got a life of my own
Anita, all thats left is us facing a life
That goes on as before
Marianne
Anita, all thats left is us facing a life
That goes on as before
Marianne
Anita, all thats left is us facing a life
That goes on as before
Marianne
Anita, all thats left is us facing a life
At the end of the world
Marianne

Facing Hell

You make promise of protection
To a future after life
To the final resurrection
And to eternal paradise

But then I'm blinded with temptation
And to every mortal sin
Is it God that sits there waiting?
Or will the darkness suck me in

Let's wake up the dead
Oh yeah
It's better that never you know
More tears are shed
Oh yeah
I'm praying that you'll never know
That I'm facing hell

Oh the children sit and listen
The belief was in their eyes
In a land without tomorrows
Through the night you hear their cries

But then your eyes just skip the pages
Of a book that never ends
Is it God that sits there waiting?
Do you hear the call again?

Let's wake up the dead
Oh yeah
It's better that never you know
More tears are shed
Oh yeah
I'm praying that you'll never know
That I'm facing hell

It's just crazy world we live in
And I'm out of my mind
You pray tomorrow but your leaving today
Evil one is coming and he's knocking your door
Cause todays the day you'll pay

Let's wake up the dead
Oh yeah
It's better that never you know
More tears are shed
Oh yeah
I'm praying that you'll never know

Let's wake up the dead
Oh yeah
It's better that never you know
More tears are shed
Oh yeah
I'm praying that you'll never know

That I'm facing hell
That I'm facing hell
That I'm facing hell
That I'm facing hell

I mean, we are facing so many very, very important issues and those are the issues that you heard talked about last night from the Republican convention, and that you'll hear my husband talk about. And those are the really important issues facing our country right now.

Time Does Not Make Me Notice

been away
and been busy
the usual answer
to any inquiry

this time
i sit upon a chair
facing the sea
on the porch of the
old house
that papa left me
when he died
five years ago

the bamboo
on the side facing
the big mountains
has grown tall
and its leaves
are outreaching
the trees

i feel so small
like a sparrow
and i feel the
wings unfurling
feathers on my
sides

i have long
wished for this:

flying away from here
and not coming back

now it is a reality.

Rises From The East

You pray facing the east with your back facing the west!
And, you do worship the sun which rises from the east! !
But, have you come up with another theory?
For, the fact is now laid bare in 'Ezekiel 8: 16'.

At The Port Of Kolambugan

the news is that
another storm is coming
and our boat is still on this port
that we fear
for once there was terror here
a bomb exploded
planted by this unknown terrorist
and many died
the boat was burned
and many bodies still burning
jumped and drowned in the sea
most of them
children and women

i am sensing the colder wind
from the sea
the touch of the
coming storm
i can sense its strength
while i wait
for the decision whether
to go sailing or not
so we can reach the
other island facing us
with a warm welcome

i look for a sign
and see this pigeon
hovering above
my head
as though saying
warning

do not,
i have all the reasons
to listen

we sleep here for the night
we shall let this storm pass

Insect

Mindless, now you will do as you're told
Restore, worship the god of control
Victims, helpless
New Slave, brain dead
Betray thy god
Facing endless damnation
Prepare, we'll have a new world our own
Regress, withdraw and you'll burn alone
Maintain respect
Obey Insect
Twisting your fate
Facing endless salvation
People from the outside
Craving for utopia
Nowhere near perfection
Future desolation
Join in now, join in now
Join in now, join in now
Promising heaven, celestial home
Inside your head now, insect has grown
There is no problem to analyse
Leaving this wasteland towards the sky
No need to worry, you're in the zone
Mind control fury, whispering tone
Overbearing manipulation
Impure, sadness, manic depression
Victims, helpless
New slave, brain dead
Betray thy god
Facing endless damnation.

Patsy In Green - Do Yourself A Favour B-side

I heal the waiting hand
I cannot understand
I feel away again
I hear the crashing waves
I fear not for where she waits
I cannot play again
Oh, I know the reason why
I know the reason
Pacing up and facing off
Pacing up and facing off
(extremely dodgy transcript!!!)

No to worry

I worry too much about life
It causing me unwanted strife
Please lend me a helping hand
And to rewrite what I planned

I need to talk to God and pray
He will help me find my way
His light will cleanse my soul
And his love will make whole…….James F. Cunningham

You worry about unwanted things
Some precious moments are missed for nothing
For the want of mental satisfaction
Where as you got to justify your action

Why you need to talk to lord?
He is all the time near you as god
Guides you to behave in responsible manner
So you are not troubled and feel as such lesser

Think of storm in midway on sea
You can feel the danger and see
Still ship is anchored safely at shore
What else will be asking for more?

You are made comfortable
Your life is made stable
You are given it in the form of blessings
Why do you such feel it as missing?

Just do the nice and noble things
Perform and act as poor but not as kings
That may bring arrogance and invite rude behavior
You act as noble man and savior

Life is for us not to worry
Never let down your self or feel sorry
Just a few earnest words in your prayer
You may have his blessings and favor

I am no sage or saint
Yet many times I faint
After seeing some tragedy
Yet I feel it is all decided by almighty

Depression 2

depression
a state of agitated depression
now facing the depression
like a closed session
needing medical attention
making my agitated confession
depression my obsession
depression my only material possession
years of oppression before the recession
see the expression of my depression
depression leaving a facial impression
at it's own discretion
like a rapper at a rap session
and a singer in a jam session
or a poet at the blog talk radio session
you can't forget the internal impression
the repossession of my depression
it's a new life i'm now facing without question

The Momentary

a busy life
stops for a while

like sipping coffee
inside a restaurant

facing the road
merely looking

passing time
staring at the
moment

Pulls are aging.

As lovers, he lies on his back
And she, with her head on his chest.

As couple, he sleeps facing the roof
And she, with her knee on his thigh.

As parents, they sleep together,
With their backs facing each other.

As elders, the husband and wife
Sleep in the foetal position.

As the old, they sleep separately.
Bonding replaces sexual pulls.

I Made It Through The Rain

We dreamers have our ways
Of facing rainy days
And somehow we survive
We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives
Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel so afraid
Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade
cause when I chased my fears away
Thats when I knew that I could finally say
Chorus
