Insult to Injury
violent welts form on raising skin
crackled blisters spew invectives
brown curled grass pretend affection
warning label on confection
shut the door on maddening din
fettered brow pegged down with whispers
burnished brass collect intrusion
warranty voided contusion
flush out and swab, dress and bandage
splint and cast - immobilise, recuperate
the shuffling of disciplined feet
ward off the pungence of defeat

Nucleus
How can you take away the nucleus
and expect everything outside of it
to stay mended together with strength?
A family is held together by a bandage.
You take away the bandage and you got a wound.
Sometimes a wound can heal on its own
and sometimes it can get infected or never heal.
I've seen it all before, the bandages go away
and then the wound that is left attacks itself.
The skin, the blood, the puss, and all the cells
that were once held together by one bandage
turn on itself and then it all melts as if touched by acid.
I don't think that will happen to our wound.
I think we'll all band together and form a new bandage.
It might not be one person holding it all together,
but it will be all of us coming together
like hospital staff to make sure we don't die of an infection.

Label me Not
Label me not
because the color
of my skin.
Label me not
whether I'm fat
or thin.
Label me not
because of my
religious belief.
Label me not

Label me not
because of
my disability.
Label me not
just except me

No One Is There (revised)
i go home
and i open the door of this house
there is silence that greets the face of emptiness
the grass is but a green canvass
sprinkled with dead leaves
shades of brown and shattered sheen of lights
from the setting sun
a burst of orange, a slap of red,
gray colors hover,
black invades and triumphs
tonight, another round of applause
from lonely hands
my feet stamp the dusts
off my skin
the dog wags its tail
i close the door and shut the windows
i turn on the light
dimmer
i begin listening again to
the departing winds.

The Lady Of The House....
travel has become one form of negligence.
in the house the words are waiting
they become grass
turning into weeds, they grow thorns on their stalks
warning you of a revenge
when you come back the path is barred
you have to cut weeds to enter the door
the door cannot embrace you
it hints you with a door knob to welcome you back
the computers suffer a breakdown
and the fan has become a throttle less the air
you have so many things to tell the room
but the blankets are still covering their ears
your lady who had been waiting impatiently
removes her dress
and you see how wounded are her breasts.

Brown Skin
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Where are your people from? maybe mississippi or an island
Apparently your skin has been kissed by the sun
You make me want a hersheys kiss, your licorice
Every time I see your lips, it makes me think of honey-coated chocolate
Your kisses are worth more than gold to me
Ill be your almond joy, youll be my sugar daddy
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Every time you come around, something magnetic pulls me and I cant get out
Disoriented, I cant tell my up from down
All I know is that I wanna lay you down
Every time I let you in, abracadabra magic happens as we swim
Higher and higher finally we reach heaven
Come back to earth and then we do it all again
Yeah..
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Skin so brown, lips so round
Baby how can I be down?
Beautiful mahogany, you make me feel like a queen
Tell me whats that thing you do that makes me wanna get next to you, yeah
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey

Who's Skin Is It Anyway?
Who's Skin Is It Anyway?
Date: April 20,2012
Who suggest you…shall I point to
When you've plugged into my dreams
To suck marrow straight from my bones
Leaving me dried and salted on the shore
And who carries the finger
For the thorny path of red-yellow memories
Where the treasure trove is looted
Bearing the calamity of soot and fool's gold
And when razors cut fresh gashes on my soul
Bleeding my heart in hollow whispers of night
Who bears the tongue, sharpened and cold
Laying steel across my soft professes of love
I need to know…whose skin is it anyway?
Who hides in shame the passion of a fire burning
And who, my love…siphons victories from midnight chatter
Tiptoeing through life for fear of discovery
Can you tell me? Who… my pet?
Who sullies those nights of sweet confection?
Who whispers insincere taunts and slurs of degradation
But returns to the till, time and again
To sample the burning thrill of denial
Who is it my love? I beg to know…
For it is surely not I!
I will not deny my heart's desires…I will not pretend!
As I know…'I' am the fire you crave! ! !

Have hues a role?
Grass lends beauty to ‘green’;
Tooth lends beauty to ‘white’;
Sky lends beauty to ‘blue’.
So do lips to ‘red’.
Red lips excel red blood;
Brown horse excel brown ass;
Yellow gold excels yellow brass.
So does black hair, black skin.
Black hair yields to white hair;
Green meadow yields to gray one.
Brown curls yield to fallen leaves
So does tender skin to one wrinkled.
The stuff rules; the merit rules;
The young rules. Have hues a role?

Little Ballads Of Timely Warning; II:
Little Ballads Of Timely Warning; II: On Malicious Cruelty To Harmless Creatures
The cruelty of P. L. Brown—
(He had ten toes as good as mine)
Was known to every one in town,
And, if he never harmed a noun,
He loved to make verbs shriek and whine.
The 'To be' family’s just complaints—
(Brown had ten toes as good as mine)
Made Brown cast off the last restraints:
He smashed the 'Is nots' into 'Ain’ts'
And kicked both mood and tense supine.
Infinitives were Brown’s dislike—
(Brown, as I said, had ten good toes)
And he would pinch and shake and strike
Infinitives, or, with a pike,
Prod them and then laugh at their woes.
At length this Brown more cruel grew—
(Ten toes, all good ones, then had Brown)
And to his woodshed door he drew
A young infinitive and threw
The poor, meek creature roughly down,
And while the poor thing weakly flopped,
Brown (ten good toes he had, the brute!)
Got out his chopping block and dropped
The martyr on it and then propped
His victim firmly with his boot.
He raised his axe! He brandished it!
(Ye gods of grammar, interpose!)
He brought it down full force all fit
The poor infinitive to split—
*
(Brown after that had but six toes!
Warning
Infinitives, by this we see.
Should not he split too recklessly.

Naturally!
You are my inspiration for what to do,
You also display me what not to do,
When you walk through the forest,
Collect the dead leaves to heap and rot,
When millions of workers stay underneath,
They Nurture the young with the tastiest,
Nutrient made of essential compounds and elements,
You are my inspiration to change the bad to good.
You are my inspiration what not to do,
When you rush through the civilization,
Sweep their habitation with no mercy and love,
Uproot their hopes with your violent yell,
Drench them in fear and tear until they are unwell,
Torch their heart with a glowing splint of nocturnal,
Dreams and desires, you are the reason and the cardinal,
For the factory of troubles, I learn what not to do.

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, ""You're tearing up the grass""; ""We're not raising grass,"" Dad would reply. ""We're raising boys"".

Perfidy
Hollow rang the house when I knocked on the door,
And I lingered on the threshold with my hand
Upraised to knock and knock once more:
Listening for the sound of her feet across the floor,
Hollow re-echoed my heart.
The low-hung lamps stretched down the road
With shadows drifting underneath,
With a music of soft, melodious feet
Quickening my hope as I hastened to meet
The low-hung light of her eyes.
The golden lamps down the street went out,
The last car trailed the night behind;
And I in the darkness wandered about
With a flutter of hope and of dark-shut doubt
In the dying lamp of my love.
Two brown ponies trotting slowly
Stopped at a dim-lit trough to drink:
The dark van drummed down the distance slowly;
While the city stars so dim and holy
Drew nearer to search through the streets.
A hastening car swept shameful past,
I saw her hid in the shadow,
I saw her step to the curb, and fast
Run to the silent door, where last
I had stood with my hand uplifted.
She clung to the door in her haste to enter,
Entered, and quickly cast
It shut behind her, leaving the street aghast.

Darkness
Im scared of swimming in the sea
Dark shapes moving under me
Every fear I swallow makes me small
Inconsequential things occur
Alarms are triggered
Memories stir
Its not the way it has to be
Im afraid of what I do not know
I hate being undermined
Im afraid I can be devil man
And Im scared to be divine
Dont mess with me my fuse is short
Beneath this skin these fragments caught
When I allow it to be
Theres no control over me
I have my fears
But they do not have me
Walking through the undergrowth, to the house in the woods
The deeper I go, the darker it gets
I peer through the window
Knock at the door
And the monster I was
So afraid of
Lies curled up on the floor
Is curled up on the floor just like a baby boy
I cry until I laugh
Im afraid of being mothered
With my balls shut in the pen
Im afraid of loving women
And Im scared of loving men
Flashbacks coming in every night
Dont tell me everythings alright
When I allow it to be
It has no control over me
I own my fear
So it doesnt own me
Walking through the undergrowth, to the house in the woods
The deeper I go, the darker it gets
I peer through the window
Knock at the door
And the monster I was
So afraid of
Lies curled up on the floor
Is curled up on the floor just like a baby boy
I cry until I laugh

Resignation
You cant be right
Youre full of prejudice and spite
You think youve got me pegged but youre wrong
Out of my way
There is a consequence to pay
You think youve got me pegged but youre wrong
I am someone wholl burn the whole world down
Im the one to bring it right around
Youre giving up on me
But what else have you got
Youre losing sight
I wont give up without a fight
You think youve got me pegged but youre wrong
Im not afraid
Ill take the chance I have to take
You think youve got me pegged but youre wrong
You cant expect the world to bend to you
You only feed the fire of anger and our disbelief
I cant be everything to everyone
And I cant be everything you think that I should be

I'm Not Brave Or Known For Courage
I'm not brave or known for courage I am allergic to fear
Of the violent and aggressive I am happy to stay clear
And far too many violent people in the World of today
Who don't respect the rights of others that does seem quite sad to say.
The living life form that I fear most happens to be my fellow man
Of those known to be violent I avoid them if I can
Even on their best behaviour bullies they have darkness of the soul
And one must say they are quite dangerous when they are out of control.
I'm not brave or known for courage just your average ageing bloke
And I like being with laid back people those who like to tell a joke
These to me are feel good people they are nice to get to know
Acquaintances with their sort into friendships do grow.
One known for to be violent could never be my friend
I see their type as control freaks of that I won't pretend
I like the easy going sort power over others they don't need
Not hard to get along with and quite likeable indeed.

The Lady’s Lament
Never happy any more!
Aye, turn the saying o'er and o'er,
It says but what it said before,
And heart and life are just as sore.
The wet leaves blow aslant the floor
In the rain through the open door.
No, no more.
Never happy any more!
The eyes are weary and give o'er,
But still the soul weeps as before.
And always must each one deplore
Each once, nor bear what others bore?
This is now as it was of yore.
No, no more.
Never happy any more!
Is it not but a sorry lore
That says, “Take strength, the worst is o'er”?
Shall the stars seem as heretofore?
The day wears on more and more—
While I was weeping the day wore.
No, no more.
Never happy any more!
In the cold behind the door
That was the dial striking four:
One for joy the past hours bore,
Two for hope and will cast o'er,
One for the naked dark before.
No, no more.
Never happy any more!
Put the light out, shut the door,
Sweep the wet leaves from the floor.
Even thus Fate's hand has swept her floor,
Even thus Love's hand has shut the door
Through which his warm feet passed of yore.
Shall it be opened any more?
No, no, no more.

Time Is A Revealer
that early morning when the dews
are pearls on the leaves
you appear
as a lovely brown woman with tight skin
too naive even for a white rose
more innocent than twilight
i was speechless like the grass
i was sprawled and all of me looked up
the coming of the skies
the sun comes up like a chariot of fire
that is how they name what god was there
i am amazed with what is going on
someone is riding on a horse and charging
someone is taken away but not crying
someone says, well, this is nothing but a circus
there is no abduction since the beloved was too willing
to be taken as a hostage of ecstasy
then there is the time for surrender
the white rose wilted and all its petals lay crushed on the grass
i was the grass sprawled on the sun
the skies all shut
the chariot pass that way and the horses fade like a mirage
then you lay there alone
your skin too loose, in fact, hanging on your bones
your teeth are no longer white as pearls
no dews on your lips
you are alone now and you wish for death
meanwhile, there is only darkness there is so much silence
my heart so empty my mouth utters a word
how can i ever forget your name
you too fade like time like a betrayal

Theres No Label In Me
I have no label,
I have a life to live,
I have a family that cares for me,
Why label yourself,
Why choose to be emo, goth, prep, or whatever,
Why,
Can you answer that yourself,
Can find the answers I seek in this poem,
I have no label,
I am me,
I have found me,
My life is a cycle,
It runs around in circles,
Theres no label in me,
Don't label yourself until you know what your are or who you are.

Conan the Barbarian, Lucas the Destroyer! ! ! !
Inspired by a maternal love
who lacks me some times
(see the title, you'll understand)
a negative poem to my dear son Lucas!
Living with him i learned more than i taught!
How is important have warranty and insurance
warranty for those objects that you like so much
Insurance for this moments that you lose completely your head!
My Laptop, treasured by me in secret hidden
passwords carefully chosen by Pentagon
The enemy saw, waited and broken
thousands pieces of my life in ground
(psychiatric hospital, please)
The digital camera, semi professional?
That rare book which was stolen from the library? The English dishes? From my family? ? ? ?
Could seem incredible, but in one day, done
The Barbarian has not pity! ! ! !
(no, not kill him, please)
Knowing your force and skills
Your brother, in a desperate attempt to stop the destroyer
gives to him my cell phone to dismantle. A joke! ! ! !
OH! Ability. Has no time to stop! Just few minutes, all parts beyond
But this 'boy' has a future, say his brother! !
(mother sedate)
yes, quality control, if resists to him......
Mom, Mom! ! ! ! ! !
But despite these dire and maddening skills
no warranty or insurance to support me!
He is my son! ! ! And i must love him! ! ! ! I think.
Lucas, when you go to your father's house? ?
God exists! ! ! !

Brown Eyed Girl
Hey, where did we go
Days when the rains came ?
Down in the hollow
Playing a new game,
Laughing and a-running, hey, hey,
Skipping and a-jumping
In the misty morning fog with
Our, our hearts a-thumping
And you, my brown-eyed girl,
You, my brown-eyed girl.
Whatever happened
To tuesday and so slow
Going down to the old mine with a
Transistor radio.
Standing in the sunlight laughing
Hide behind a rainbows wall,
Slipping and a-sliding
All along the waterfall
With you, my brown-eyed girl,
You, my brown-eyed girl.
Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah
Just like that
Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah
La dee dah.
So hard to find my way
Now that Im all on my own.
I saw you just the other day,
My, how you have grown!
Cast my memory back there, lord,
Sometime Im overcome thinking about
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium
With you, my brown-eyed girl,
You, my brown-eyed girl.
Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah
Laying in the green grass
Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah
Dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee
Sha la la la la la la la la la la la la
Dee dah la dee dah la dee dah la
