This Child Within The Man {When Crossroads Connect}

Crossroads splitting 'neath July's late sun,
like a silent tremor,
four streets meet,
and it's time for decision-
where to go now.
Looking for alternate roads,
sun dying fast,
narrowing paths and options.

I see a bridge beyond and 'neath
a backdrape of golden
trimmed burgandy;
high sunset bleeding
into evenings mergence,
like a virgin falling,
falling-
falling to her knees
slowly, softly-
to her knees.

I wait for sunsets torch pass
to twilight, such nuance
of final subtle change of light,
enabling me to find a path...
and take me home.

But, the 'wait' seemed as endless time-
endless time;
made my mind drift away -
from logical concepts,
my world of command-
and inexplicably...I was a child again,
approaching the Bridge and grinning
at the illusive kaleidoscopics above,
dripping from the sky.....
like strawberry syrup.

Darkness free from daylights womb,
smothering twilights breath
in concert with three-quarters Moon -
resurrecting light to the nascent eve.

And upon a closer look, i see-
that these crossroads ne'er split, at all;
ne'er at all;
that the abstract drip of Sunset
had merely cast deception
on the roads roughshod pavement
i'd attempted to negotiate,
as all men tend to do!

And i saw all this, as a child
with limited logic, or so it seemed;
which made me wonder
how i'd find my way home,
now that the child within,
had left me to become -
a well versed man of judgement,
a man of good judgement.

Makes me wonder, still, 'bout many other things,
as a man of head-strong conviction,
as opposed to the boy at the crossroads,
who saw Life with open-mind and eye's,
knowing somehow, there was a way home,
by following the familiar lights ahead,
taking in its shades and colours.
Hope this boy does not grow up too fast,
for i have so much to learn from him....,
before he becomes me...

Crossroads

Time has washed away
And now I may wonder
How did it all slip by
Cause I always thought
We had forever
Future calls to me
To take me away from things
I dont want to leave behind
Like Im slipping away
I cant hold on
Find that path alone
Crossroads lead me away
But thats not what worries me
I just want to know whats home
Through it all

To the one who touched my soul

I Like It This Time

when the world is so silent
because everyone is fast asleep.
when the night is dark
when all the lights on the street
are turned off
when no one walks his way
back home
because everyone is finally
at home
i like it this time when the wind
stops when the leaves find
no disturbance
when the paths and roads are
finally vacant from feet and cars
and buses
when every car is parked in the garage
when the child sleeps
in her mothers arms sucking her nipple
when the father is beside mother's
body
when sisters hug each other in bed
i like it this time
when the world finally is rested
for i am now awakened from
my sleep
i like it this time when i begin
to write
when what i hear is this
computer machine is buzzing

As The Sunset

As the sunset I think to myself why.
As the sunset I sit down and cry.
Wondering why life got to be a lie.

As the sunset I dropp my head.
As the sunset I think about you instead.
How can I go home and get in my bed.

As the sunset I say no.
As the sunset I just don't know.
My love that I have for u just wont go.

As the sunset I look to the sky.
As the sunset I wait to die.

As the sunset I say a prayer.

Sitting by the window watching the sun to set.

Declaration Of Life

Declaration of life
Is a written paper
That I keep in the drawers of my desk
It is a declaration of life that is truly an amazing gift
Sign, sealed, and delivered by God
At the time I was born
And at the time I had entered his world
I had grown and seen all his world
Today I am a believer
I am the one who is falling into God's footsteps
And God is life
This day was made for me
Bring it on I will
I will look on your side of the world
Because there are places
Which are brighter
Filled with thy love and peace
God tells me I will take care of you

Reflection

The light that spills through the crack in the door
Illumines only her face
And my grandmother smiles
If only all of life was this easy
To only be a child forever
With nothing to care about
And nothing to lose

Every day in the schoolyard
There was kickball
Dodge ball
Hopscotch
Friends were many, we were all the same
And nobody ever cried
When mothers called us home

Be the best, they told us
Second place is never good enough
There is no second chance
Your life is what you make it
Make it better than mine
Make it more
Than you can be, and break your own stars.

The war of nineteen years, is everybody's battle
Survivors win a sheet of paper that says:
You are free; you can go;

Endless Time

endless time
i set myself into a pool of eternity
now
the body i wait
for it to give itself up to itself
a time bomb that blasts off
to let silence, me reign
this body that keeps inching itself
into me in this pool of endless time
a curse from the fallen angels?
time and time again i ask
only to find i keep falling into the trap

Time is endless in thy hands, my lord.
There is none to count thy minutes.
Days and nights pass and ages bloom and fade like flowers.
Thou knowest how to wait.
Thy centuries follow each other perfecting a small wild flower.
We have no time to lose,
and having no time we must scramble for a chance.

Taking Too Long Is Not Recommended

The only drawback there is,
To making up one's mind...
With a final decision made,
Is the time, date and the year of it.
And what one believes is needed,
To decide.

If one still has high expectations,
Those awaiting for a response...
For a decision to be made.
And finally that day comes...
As if a light switch has been turned on!
That expectation once high,
Should be lowered considerably.
Since...
The likelihood of that decision made,
Being obsolete...
Is more than just likely a given!

'I'm sorry.
Who are you again?
You say we were the best of friends,
Back 'then'?
WHEN?
How far back is 'then'?
I don't remember you at all.

Oh...
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
I do!
Geeessshhh.
What happened to you?
You don't look the same at all.
I don't remember what was discussed.
What was it? '

The only drawback there is,
