Snow Makes Everything Silent...
Snow weeps into the silence
The snow makes everything still
The traffic is muted, passing on air
Children play on, unaging
In the white moments of snowfall
Wild creatures perch on their nerves
Ploughmen and mailmen, pause unaccustomed
To know the effect and the call.
Simple, imploding in song
Unknowing of its disturbance
Transformation will come... but here in its time
Snow makes all that is lonely, belong

My Snowfall
My eyes behold its beauty
As my hand
Reaches out for its touch,
While my face
Feels that certain tingle
That makes me love
Snow so much!
My heart embraces its coming
The way a child frolics
In the fallen snow! My beautiful snowfall
Brings joy to my spirit
And sunshine to my day.
It doesn't matter
Whether it be a blizzard
Or a dusting of flakes,
Snow falling from the sky
To me looks the same
Any old way!
Snow, my ever lovely snowfall! Be it Valentine's Day,
President's Day,
And yes,
Be it Groundhog Day!
Let it snow
I walk in it,
As well as sing in it!
I play in the snow
And build my favorite snowman,
Then chase
Each falling flake
As fast as I can! Each breath of air
Feels crystal clear
Making Winter so very dear!
Each descending flake
Falls as if it were
A blessing from the angels,
Appreciating this gift
Of nature from God,
More than any other
Man created pleasure! Let it snow
As well as
Let the winds blow!
I wait for the snow every year,
And can't stop smiling
When it finally appears!
Snowfall, my snowfall!

Song Of The Evergreens
Listen to the briskly whistling winter evergreen
Whispering through the frozen morning light
And tell me whats to come
Saying my time is near
Never fear
I close each year
Im winter
Reminding me to trade my t-shirts for my woven wools
Trade my sandals for my skis
Whispered warnings in the wind
Saying soon come the dancing snowflakes
Theyre kissing every tree
Theyre kissing you and me
Please hurry
Falling
Dazzling dancing diamonds from the sky
Prisms
Rainbow sparkled flurries in our eyes
Whipping across the frozen crystal meadow
Pond of ice
Race the snow
Well build a warming fire there
And cuddle close and wine and dine
The setting sun
The morning light will find us high
Shooting down the glistening mountain side
Screaming through the whispering pines
The freedom of each day
Will cleanse our minds
I can hardly wait for winter
I can hardly wait for the snow
I can hardly hardly wait for winter
I can hardly wait for the snow

The Snow
See the snow
Its a blanket, soft and white
Falling slow
Covering the world, making it bright
Hear the snow
Crunching underneath feet
Children throw
The snow in the street
Smell the snow
The freshening scent
As the steady flow
Makes my heart content
Feel the snow
Powdery, it freezes your toes
As the blanket starts to grow
And the cold wind blows
Taste the snow
The way it makes the world look clean
Still cold though,
Makes the world, a beautiful scene
Love the snow
When I see it snowing all day
I just know
That everything is going to be okay

In The Snow
in the snow i walk looking at everything coated in beautiful white
thoughts run through my head so many i cannot count
as i watch the snow fall i realize that its as beautiful as life itself
as i watch the snow fall i think of her and how i wish she could be beside me to see what i see just one last time
i cant help but wonder if she thought of me
in the snow there is something in the air i know i feel it so nice
there is something about the snow and the air that makes me think of you
as i get where i want to go
and step inside
snowflakes fall gentally off my hood
as i pound my feet the snow falls off and i become warm
the snow and ice that clazes me melts and falls
i know i will have to walk in the snow again

The Snow
The Snow, the snow
however so sweet,
The snow blows, glows
and that our treat
It topples, trims, melts, and goes,
Not even the experts; so called pros,
can accurately predict
how the snow blows
Even when we look at the sky,
We can see the snow come down,
and then it spreads it's wings and flies,
all over the town
That town is anxious
as it waits for the little snow,
all the children wait happily
as they all know;
that the snow will surley go,
and leave no trace behind
Hear now, Hear now
for it may be,
It's time, It's time
for the white snow to flee.
It's come, It's came
so please don't run,
come here, next year,
to have some more fun.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since weve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Oh it doesnt show signs of stopping
And I bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home Ill be warm
Oh the fire is slowly dying
And my dear were still good-bying
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Ode On Snow
Snowstorms!
Piles of snow!
Soft, crystalline white snowflakes!
Feathered rain!
Powder snow!
Falling snow!
Up to the kneecaps snow!
Snow stuck on sidewalks and streets!
Snowballs!
Snowmen!
Snowdrift!
Sledding on soft snow!
Crunching snow!
Snow cones!

Snow on snow
Snow on snow
Flakes gently falling
Like leaves from a tree
Asking permission
Before they land
On the snowflakes underneath
Each one different
Like leaves on a tree
A white carpet
Pure white till soiled
By children’s shoes
They love its touch
Ooo snowball fights
Snow doesn’t hurt
Snow is soft and forgiving
People hurt
They are selfish and cruel
So let it snow
Snow on snow on

First Snowfall
Oh the first snowfall of the winter
Was a day that we all waited for
When it drifted to and frost
Why you shouldve seen the snow
It was near seven feet or more
By the old barn door
Oh the first snowfall of the winter
What a joy for a boy to behold
In each house youll find a sleigh
That was waiting for this day
And of course, down the road a hill
For each jack and jill
Every winter breeze that scurries
Sets the snowflakes up in flurries
Its the good old sentimental season when
Folks put runners on their surreys
And forget about their worries
When a man becomes a boy once again
Oh the first snowfall of the winter
Jingle bells bring us spells ever dear
Under wintry skies of gray
It was snowing all the day
And it showed no signs of stopping
Every kid with eyes of popping
Will soon be belly-whopping on his ear
On the first snowfall of the winter
Oh the first snowfall of the year
The first snow of the year
Is just about the best snow
Well Ill say any snow
Is a pretty good show

No Christmas Cheer
Outside I hear the rain beating,
Suddenly it starts sleeting,
Then it becomes snow, thick, and fast,
It makes me think of the past.
When I was a young child,
Snow was rather wild,
Never cold or sad,
Life was good never bad.
Now snow makes me feel alone,
Cold as marble stone,
No family this year,
No Christmas cheer.

Take Our Snow Please
As out the window,
I look, more snow today,
have only one thing to say,
take our snow please.
Six week-ends straight,
snow, snow every where,
have only one thing to say,
take our snow please, today.
So much snow, so much cold,
snow in the streets, snow in the yard,
snow on the car, snow on my shoe,
have only one thing to say,
take our snow please, we don't know what to do.
Winter, oh winter please end,
all of this snow, we don't really want it,
snow falling, flakes dropping
have only one thing to say,
take our snow please, don't delay.
Where Are You Snow
Thus the year,
Where there are no,
White fluffy fields,
Of snow,
Where you,
Can run outside,
In the snow covered,
Mountains,
But this year,
There is no snow,
Why can't we go out,
To play in the snow,
No snow,
No white Christmas

Snow...
I know not how I'll die.
I know not the time,
but what I do know
is that I will die.
It may not be tomorrow.
It may not be next year.
But what I do know
is that there will be snow.
I love snow.
It glitters and glissens.
I love snow.
It's like a blessin'.
Snow is pure.
Snow is white.
But most of all
it's a wonderful sight.
But the snow won't be pure.
The snow won't be white.
Because when I die
it will show a horrible sight.

Her Name Was Snow (children s story)
There is a story that not many children know
Of a young girl - her name was snow.
She would come down - you know not when
But she would become every child s friend.
Children would say that she was
“ as white- as white can be”.
And the suns reflections would dazzle me.
She could make herself “ a blanket on the ground”
Where children could roll and jump on her
And she would not make a sound.
Snow would only come in the winter months.
So that with her the children could play
She was very cold, but they loved her that way.
You could mold her like you would
A piece of clay, and that is the way
That she would stay.
You could make her as an igloo or
A very high wall, or roll her up and
Make her a ball.
There was so many things that you
Could make her to be.
but the thing that she wanted to be the most
Was a white sparkling ghost.
Where she could come when she liked
And the children could have a “snow” ball fight.
So children! When you don’t see snow
coming your way, then wish for her on Christmas day.

A Snowy Day
I sense an unfamiliar brightness, and very soon, I'm awake.
I go to my window, which is covered with tiny snowflakes.
As far as the eye can see, there's a carpet of pure white:
It's a magnificent and beautiful, but still rather rare, sight.
People pull on their patterned, designer, Wellington boots;
Icy footprints in the snow, mark out the well trodden routes.
Children play in the snow and build a snowman;
They build him up as tall, as they possibly can.
Everything looks so very different when covered by snow;
Suddenly, you're not too sure where your feet should now go.
I love to walk through the parts, where snow is undisturbed;
Even though I now can no longer tell the road from the curb.
There is now a real lack of distinguishing features,
And a noticeable absence of warm-blooded creatures.
In the sunshine, the snow, like tiny diamonds, glints;
Its delicate surface now peppered with animal prints.
The coldness makes folks' cheeks all pink and rosy.
Most stay inside, where they are all nice and cosy.
Children on a sledge whiz down a long, steep hill;
They seem to know no fear and have nerves of steel.
Wheels on vehicles suddenly now slide and slip;
Road surfaces, they suddenly can no longer grip.
On busier routes, the snow soon turns to sludgy slush.
In this weather, not a single soul would dare to rush.
Some folk hope that, of the snow, there'll be no more,
And hope that this carpet of white, will, very soon, thaw.
When I look out of my bedroom window that same night,
I notice that the world around me still seems quite light.
Over the next couple of days, the snow turns to ice;
It now is all discoloured, and doesn't look so nice.
Finally, we have a whole day of really heavy rain,
And, of the snow, not a single flake now remains.

Snow In The Air
Snow In The Air
Snow in the air
comes gently down
and it is everywhere
as it hits the the ground
it can be love because it is pure and white
Snow in the air
love fills children with delight
because they do not care
they take a slieghride downhill.
Snow in the air
looks beautiful to me
the snow is on the ground this winter night.
it looks bright against the darkness especially
nothing is wrong everything is white.
