Shameless
His wars have failed
His soldiers die
No-one has ever
Seen him cry
His torture cells
Wiretaps exposed
His secret prisons
Will be closed
Approval ratings
In the lurch
He dare not show
His face in church
His self-invention
Crumbles, dies
His promises
Transparent lies
He smirks to shield
The criticism
Poisoning hope
With cynicism
Kids uninsured
So what the hell
The earth can go
That way as well
Scorned almost
Comprehensively
His pious screed
A travesty
His creed one of
Incompetence
Self-satisfied
With ignorance
Without respect
To justify
He shows no shame.
One question:
Why?

The Black Sheep
'Black sheep, black sheep, have you any wool?'
'Yes, sir-yes, sir: three bags full.'
'I don't want any New Thought,' said he,
'Or any Theosophy, for, you see,
The faith I learned at my mother's knee
Is good enough for me.
Of course, I'm a wee bit broader than she,
Hearing one sermon where she heard three,
And I read my paper on Sunday, instead
Of the Bible only. My mother said
I was a black sheep, when she saw
I strayed a trifle away from the law,
And didn't think everyone left in the lurch
Who happened to go to a different church;
But, still, in the main, her creed is mine,
And I don't want anything more divine.'
Yet his mother's mother was more austere;
She taught her children a creed of fear,
And she called them 'black sheep' when, with a shock,
She saw them straying away from the flock,
Just far enough
To get around places they thought too rough,
Like infant damnation and endless hell.
But his mother's mother's mother would tell
How her mother thought it was God's sweet will
To punish and torture a heretic till
They drove out the devil that made him dare
Think for himself in the matter of prayer
And faith and salvation. So we see how it is
If we look back over the centuries-
The creeds men learned at their mother's knee
When Salem witches were hanged to a tree,
And the pious dames flocked thither to see,
Are not deemed Christian or holy to-day;
And the bold black sheep who went straying away
From rut-worn paths in their search for God,
And leaped over the fence into pastures broad,
Are the great trail-makers for mortal souls,
Leading the race up to higher goals
And a larger religion; where man must find
God dwelling ever within his mind,
Christ in his conduct, and heaven in his thought,
And hell but the places where love is not.
A mighty religion that makes this earth
But the cradle that fits us for death's new birth
And the life beyond it, that is so near
Its echoes may reach to the listening ear.
'Black sheep, black sheep, have you any wool?'
'Yes, sir-yes, sir: a whole world full.'

Incompetence
There is nothing more unattractive than incompetence
Naivety falls in the face of experience,
Ignorance is beaten by education,
Even idiocy can be overcome with patience.
But incompetence,
Incompetence is when confident blind belief meets abilities harsh reality
And we stupidly just keep on trying any way.

Christian Paradox
The walls so beautiful in a luxurious palace,
In the vicinity where the center ground on the alter that sits the chalice,
Closed curtains cover the intention of malice,
The broken church a paradox indeed,
The beautiful palace of evil is all I can see,
In a sanctuary under white clouds of glee,
The house of God so evil but how can this be?
The curtains closed behind the alter the secret sealed shut,
Blind to the eyes of followers behind the curtains of smut,
Backstage sits the priest eating the fruit of disgust,
The desire of rape, the evil lust,
But so beautiful the vicinity the walls hovers around pews,
Where reconciliation transpire with the hope to renew,
A closer connection with “God” that everyone thought they knew,
Rape in the form of blackmail representing the hidden taboo,
The broken church crumbles in the form of the truth,
The reign of terror forever ends for the destruction of youth,
The transparent light beams down from the window where the blind can see through,
Terror stemmed from the vicinity of the church’s morals that remain untrue.

The poorest way to face life is to face it with a sneer. There are many men who feel a kind of twisted pride in cynicism; there are many who confine themselves to criticism of the way others do what they themselves dare not even attempt. There is no more unhealthy being, no man less worthy of respect, than he who either really holds, or feigns to hold, an attitude of sneering disbelief toward all that is great and lofty, whether in achievement or in that noble effort which, even if it fails, comes to second achievement. A cynical habit of thought and speech, a readiness to criticize work which the critic himself never tries to perform, an intellectual aloofness which will not accept contact with life's realities — all these are marks, not as the possessor would fain to think, of superiority but of weakness.

I Don't Welcome Bitter Fits
I don't have a spicy tongue,
Normally exposed.
Until somebody stands too close,
To step on my toes.
I don't welcome bitter fits,
Instantly to show...
To anybody who should know,
When to get up and go.
I am respectful,
Until I can't be...
To those people unaware,
Of what this means.
I try to be accountable,
Without apologies.
I make sure I'm there,
Taking care...
Of responsibilities.
I don't welcome bitter fits,
Instantly to show...
To anybody who should know,
When to get up and go.
I don't have a spicy tongue,
Normally exposed.
Until somebody stands too close,
To step on my toes.
And when somebody does that,
My ignorance shows.
I don't welcome bitter fits,
Instantly to show...
To anybody who should know,
When to get up and go.
I don't have a spicy tongue,
Normally exposed.
Until somebody stands too close,
To step on my toes.
And when somebody does that,
My ignorance shows.
I am respectful,
Until I can't be...
To those people unaware,
Of what this means.
I am respectful,
Until I can't be...
To those people unaware,
Of what this means.
I don't welcome bitter fits,
Instantly to show...
To anybody who should know,
When to get up, leave and go.
I can be respectful,
Until I can't be...
To anybody unaware of what this means.
And I don't welcome bitter fits.
Or think of them as benefits...
When somebody gets me heated,
And my ignorance shows...
The moment someone gets too close to step on my toes.

Three thousand people died at ground zero. Their families are entitled to a little bit of respect, to respect the memory of those poor people that died there. And how about the families of all those soldiers that died in the two ensuing wars? Aren't they entitled to a little bit of respect - the kids, the wives, the parents?

Respect for My Foes
Why should I show respect for a man that shows me none?
Why should I follow your codes when they have no meaning to me?
Respect after all is something we must earn,
And as far as my eyes can see you deserve nothing.
It may be law that I should respect you,
But I shall break law if it means that I am free
Because who likes shackels; they after all are made from man kind.
No man shall hold me for I am as free as a bird.
I shall dropp dead flat on my face
Before I ever put you in a palace
Before I give you the respect you think you have earned.
The highest you will ever go is the social status of a goat.
But we slaughter them.
I hope your happy being king of the goats
They say respect your foes as you do yourself.
So today I shall pretend to be the dirt under my shoes.
And I shall treat you the exact same way.
Respect is somethning we must earn, have you earned it.

The Judgement Throne Of God
To stand before the great judgement throne
My nakedness exposed and all alone
To watch my life played out before God
Seeing all my deeds and the paths I've trod
To feel my soul exposed to the Eternal Light
Under scrutiny of God's all seeing eye so bright
Would hold such dread and shame for me.
Can anyone pass this great test of holiness?
For just one sin will expose their unworthiness
The sentence would be passed upon their soul
where the worm dies not into Hell be cast
And the fire burns on and for eternity will last
That place of eternal torment and agony
It holds such dread and shame for me.
Is there no hope or any way that I can escape?
The wages of my sin deserves the sentence of death
I know that I am guilty of sin my Lord
I wish to escape that dreaded throne of God
Where can I go? Where can I flee?
Help me my Lord what can be done for me?
Hell holds such dread and shame for me.
Then I heard the voice of Jesus say
'Roy, Come to me and walk my way.
Your redemption has been secured by me
When I died upon the cross to set you free
It was your sins that nailed me there
'It is finished' was my cry of victory
The dread of hell and shame was borne by me.
'For I paid the price for your sin when I died
And God's law I have completely satisfied.
When you stand before the judgment throne
You do not stand there all on your own
It is my perfect life that He sees Instead.
I washed away your sin with the blood I've shed
For that wrath has now been borne by Me'
Your name I've written in The Book of Life.
No more for you the wrath of God shall be
For God so loved the world you see
that He gave His only Son to die at Calvary
So that whoever believes in Him
Should not perish but have eternal life'
Now hell holds no dread or shame for me.
Such mercy is undeserved and I am blessed
For if entry to heaven was based on sinlessness
Then only Jesus would be allowed to go in
And all mankind will be excluded due to sin
It is by God's grace and mercy alone
For on the cross He died for sin to atone
Now God's love and mercy is lavished on me.
Nailing it to the cross and taking it to the grave.
In rising from the dead He has now displayed
His victory over death and the grave
For Satan could find
No sin in him to hold him there.
Death has been swallowed up in victory
The law of God is satisfied so completely
God has now kissed the world in love
Extending his salvation from heaven above
To all who come to the cross and believe in Him
I am glad to say that a believer in Jesus I am
For the Way, the Truth and the Life is He
instead of judgement I have Life more abundantly
All because of the great love Jesus has for me.
'Go live for Me and do the work I do
I died as part of God's plan for you.'
What Am I Worth
(arthur smith)
When I do things my way for pride or for show
Deep down within me I know, yes I know
When I hurt others with things I say or do
With remorse my voice calls out to you
Its me lord, Im asking what Im worth?
Just a man made from clay to return to the earth
Through shame I hear you whisper you may walk through down in hell
But faith can still move mountains amazing grace has never failed
When I want to do right I do wrong anyway
But jesus, I love you always, yes always
You made it alone on calvery and you hold my hand
Alone I cant make it but with you, I can
Its me lord, Im asking what Im worth?
Just a man made from clay to return to the earth
Through shame I hear you whisper you may walk through down in hell
But faith can still move mountains amazing grace has never failed

Shame distinguishes.
It is shame
to be suspected of infidelity.
It is shame
to be caught of murder, theft and corruption.
It is shame
to be known for meanness and ingratitude.
It is shame
to be exposed for lies, cheats and fraud
It is the shame
that differentiae man from the beast.
Shame being torn
we are returning to barbarism.

Sisters Of Mercy
Your faith is not faithful
Your grace has no grace
Your mercy shows no mercy
Is there no way out of this place?
There's a baby crying softly
In a dark and dangerous place
She's imprisones by no language
Fear grips her tiny face
In God's house she's held a hostage
By a cruel and heartless mob
There's some rules they think God's written
And it justifies their job
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Daughters of hell[daughters of hell]
They always weave their web of lies
And wrap you in their wicked spell
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Masters of pain[masters of pain]
They try to crucify your innocence
And do it in God's name
There's a baby sobbing softly
In a crib that's now a cage
She's done nothing to deserve this
But it sanctifies their rage
They use God like he's a weapon
Only for a chosen few
Then hide behind pious faces
Like the guilty always do
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Mothers of shame[mothers of shame]
A baby only gets to heaven
If she's baptised in his name
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Daughters of war[Daughters of war]
This chicks administer your penance
While the Devil guards their door
Your faith is not faithful
Your grace has no grace
Your mercy shows no mercy
Is there no way out of this place?
There's a baby who's a warrior
Sometimes tears run down her face
As she wonders should she fight
Or simply vanish from this race
If she's only learned one lesson
It's pride comes before a fall
The karma train waits for no man
But God waits for us all
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]

If You Pay Respect
If you pay respect to where respect is due
And to your own higher self try to remain true
And treat everyone as an equal and all as the same
Your's ought to live on as a remembered name.
If for everyone you believe on a 'fair go'
And despite their Race or Creed due respect to them show
And never ruin anyone's character with malicious lies
Above the ordinary you are one who does seem to rise.
If you unlike many not addicted to greed
And try to help those of help who are in need
And of your own Human flaws you do feel aware
To say the least people like you are quite rare.
If you do believe in the live and let live
And you are not too proud to receive and generous enough for to give
And respect to the rights of all others you pay
Then as a person you are doing quite okay.

Dad needs to show an incredible amount of respect and humor and friendship toward his mate so the kids understand their parents are sexy, they're fun, they do things together, they're best friends. Kids learn by example. If I respect Mom, they're going to respect Mom.
They Know That They Don't Know
They know that they don't know!
And their opinions discloses the evidence.
Most of their knowledge has been obtained,
By innuendos and nonsense.
Leaving them exposed,
To an ignorance that shows.
They know that they don't know!
And any actions taken to comprehend...
Becomes entrapped by an inferiority,
Felt within them.
And that which escapes their understanding...
Is left out of their reach.
Although very close...
Are those answers they seek most.
But quick they fold their arms to their chests,
With stubborn hands to express...
Their choice not to hear,
What for them is best!
Declaring they wish not to listen...
Because facts distracts,
A consciousness they lack!
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
Stubborn and they're limited.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

The Earth Dies Screaming
A warm dry wind is all that breaks the silence,
The highways quiet scars across the land.
People lie, eyes closed, no longer dreaming,
The earth dies screaming.
Like scattered pebbles, cars lie silent waiting,
Oilless engines seized by dirt and sand.
Bodies hanging limp, no longer bleeding,
The earth dies screaming.
The earth dies screaming
The earth dies screaming
Your country needs you, lets strike up the band.
The earth dies screaming
The earth dies screaming
Despite all odds we must defend our land.
Half eaten meals lie rotting on the tables,
Money clutched within a boney hand.
Shutters down, the banks are not receiving,
The earth dies screaming.

Travesty of Brilliance
A travesty that shadows brilliance,
Contorts the showing of it...
In atmospheres where foolishness,
Seems worshipped and condoned.
Those who have a brilliance,
Are made to feel freaks.
Made to feel unusual whatever they do...
And often how they speak.
With a clarity understood!
That is not butchered on the streets.
Are pointed out as smart and/or 'lucky'.
And should move away to succeed.
Since where they live and feel a comfort...
Only disrespect they can expect to receive.
A travesty that shadows brilliance,
Leaves many disadvantaged...
With an unconscious acceptance,
Of a stifling ignorance.
Smothering them and in their decadence.
And...
In many communities where unity is professed...
A preferred association with ignorance,
Many profess as their success.
With a known evidence of it achieved.
To be brilliant and exposed,
Threatens those with insecurities.
Expecially those who are clueless,
With no connection to identity or to what that means.
To achieve mediocrity is a stretch for many!
And for more it is out of reach.
And those who are brilliant in the own communities...
Are treated as if they have leprosy.
OR something that disfigures them to be ostracized,
Shunned and banned.
Ridiculed by minds diseased.
And this travesty of brilliance,
Sweeps across a degraded land!
Showing just what influences.
And how corrupted insecurities...
Can destroy and ruin by command.

I Hope God Hears Me
so I always know what to say
I hope God hears me speak
because peace is what I seek
I hope God shows me how to cope
so I don't give up the hope
I hope God will stay with me
so I know what I am to be
I hope God will show me how to stand
and always be with me to hold my hand
I hope God will show me the way
so I won't give up in my day
I hope God will be patient with me
so the comfort I will see
I hope God will show me how not to hide
and always be with me by my side
I hope God will show me how to start
so I carry him in my heart
I hope God will keep me from harms
and be there to hold out his arms
I hope God will show me the love
so I will see the peace of the dove
I hope God will show me the lead
so I will find out my need
I hope God will show me how to turn
because I have so much to learn

Promises
Remember how it used to be,
Remember how you promised me,
That life would always be good,
You forget the fact you lied to me,
You locked my heart and threw the key,
I'm so misunderstood,
What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
Remember how I gave my heart,
And all at once we fell apart,
Was I supposed to forgive you,
You forgot the fact you said to me,
That we were for eternity,
You're so easy to see through,
What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
Remember that I'm over you,
And know that I will make it through,
Hope you never forget it,
The promises you made to me,
Were really lies and fantasy,
Hope you come to regret it,
What to say when all the tears have dried,
Promises, promises,
What to think when all our love has died,
Promises, promises,
The promises we used to keep have gone,
And with them all the words,
That kept us both from seeing what was wrong,
The rest is silent, What to say when all the words have gone,
Promises, promises,
What to do when all our thoughts have flown,
Promises, promises,
What to say when all the tears have dried,
Promises, promises,
What to think when all our love has died,
Promises, promises.

Some Folks Will Go Out of Their Way
Some folks can't be respected.
They wont allow it!
Someone who shows another respect,
Today?
Is going to be disrespected...
And that's a bet!
Some folks will go out of their way,
To show the depth of their ignorance.
Just to prove that is what they are!
And proud to be dysfunctional.
Wanting to show it has been earned.
