The Blame Game

The mouse ate up my assignment
The snake ate up the mouse
The eagle ate up the snake and flew high above the heads
Inspiring and impetus
A hazy lapse
And the sky ate up the eagle

Then what?
The fumes ate up the sky
The fumes cultivated from our desires and greed
Outgrowing and blazing

Then what?
I ate up the fumes
Sedated and rejuvenated
All set to get back on track
A midnight lapse
And the assignment ate me up!

Even leaves beg me'' says Eagle

eagle, niggard and black
perched on sycomore on Nile bank
tasty fish gambolled in water
at lightening speed eagle caught
tasty fish and scrambled out

eagle flew and perched on a tree
man was under a tree
and glanced at what sat on tree
eagle and man eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying
''man may conjure him
by evil eyes''

eagle flew and perched on second tree
some birds were on that tree
Eagle and others birds eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying he
'' choke as birds watch him eating''

Eagle flew and perched on third tree
the breeze shook leaves of tree
eagle saw leaves unfolded shaking
like a begging hand
eagle flew away saying
'' everything beg me , even leaves
beg me too''

Eagle flew and perched on fourth withered tree
no birds, men and leaves around there
only exrtreme silence around there
eagle ate tasty fish
sang in loudest resounding voice
''eel fish and tasty fish are not the same
I ate tasyty fish until heart palpitated in happiness''

Butterfly...

The grey concrete surrounded me as that of a dreary day
The metal collarge of buses, encircling me..
whilst exposing the shyness of colour
to the dullness of the scene
How hard the colour tried..yet the grey consumed it without effort
I sat, whilst the fumes danced unashamedly
around the concrete path before me

But I could only see the huge metal conterie in front of me..
vibrating in tune to the fumes that swirled from it..
As my ears were full of song..

'You give me butterflies..'

..my heart sang to You as my eyes,
almost filled with tears..
looked upon the lugubroius scene before me..

'You give me butterflies..'

My heart sang even louder..
as the fumes enveloped me..

But wait!
What is this I see amidst the concrete collarge..
What is this precious gem..
struggling through the choking fumes..
through the grey of this cold, somber calamity?
You filled me up with joy hardly contained
when, through all..
there...
A pure white butterfly decended..
and as I held out my hand..
rested in my palm..

Oh my heart..........

Snake Man

Tom johnston
Well, Im worried
Snake mans on my trail
Oh, lord, Im worried
Snake mans on my trail
And I only come outside
To pick up all the u.s. mail
A black eagle
Flies through my back yard
A black eagle
Flies through my back yard
Perches on my window
Lord, what a fearsome sight

Sonnet: The Desert-war

Two Eagles want a mouse as Baghdad’s King!
The Desert -Snake is too wily to swoop:
Once he is gone, they can have anything,
From oil and gasoline to camel-soup!

They encircled the Snake in the desert!
The Snake is swift and appears like mirage!
His oil-wells burn the two intruders' heart;
They cannot turn so fast to be his phage!

The Eagles know the Desert-Sun is hot!
They know they cannot bear the heat for long:
They take a risk but don't want to be caught;
They cannot take the country for a song!

The Eagles may be Kings of their own skies!
The Desert-Snake rules, though on belly lies!

Blind Side

Walking around a lake,
I saw a mouse scampering one side,
Trying to outrun a snake,
Finding an edge on its Blind Side.
Made me recap my life, where all,
I played Safe, being on problem's Blind Side
Sometimes fear gets us with an almighty blow,
Attempt to dodge things is all we do
There is courage hidden within us, we know
Being bold and facing things head on, we ought to.
Staying fearless and strong, gives us a chance
From ashes a phoenix might arise
But if its written in the destiny
The snake will surely catch the mouse.

Goldenrod Suite

In a field of
grasshopper heat
of
the pride
the prone
of
the all that
is forever gone
of
crow hops-hops-hops
down a bug
of
a bridge I built
across the creek
of
frogs that
take a peek
of
overhead
an eagle soars
of
a mouse
fast in the grass
of
cattails
around the pond
of
a snake, branched
hanging on
of
upon seeing me
falls and is gone
of
a sea golden
and green
of
sadly seeing
yesterday's dream

Bored With School

I became extremely bored with school,
At an early age.
I felt I was watched and scrutinized,
Unnecessarily.
AND...
I told my 5th grade teacher this.
AFTER given an assignment,
To write an essay...
Right there in the classroom.

I felt her hawkish eyes on me,
Like I was prey.
And she couldn't wait to see,
What I had written.

'Uh...
Mr. Pertillar?
Why are you looking out the window.
I've given all of you students an assignment.'

~I'm done.~

'That's impossible.'

~You've asked us to write an assignment...
And...
With an 'a' and a 'd' surrounding an 'n'
I said,
I was done! ~

'You are a fresh mouth little boy.
Bring to me your work.'

~And there are no spelling errors.
I check it.~

'Interesting.
Very 'adult' in expression.
But this is a 5th grade assignment.
And YOU are getting a 'C'.'

~A 'C'? ~

'Open your mouth again,
And it will become a 'D'.'

Missing

Has anybody seen my mouse?

I opened his box for half a minute,
Just to make sure he was really in it,
And while I was looking, he jumped outside!
I tried to catch him, I tried, I tried....
I think he's somewhere about the house.
Has anyone seen my mouse?

Uncle John, have you seen my mouse?

Just a small sort of mouse, a dear little brown one,
He came from the country, he wasn't a town one,
So he'll feel all lonely in a London street;
Why, what could he possibly find to eat?
He must be somewhere. I'll ask Aunt Rose:
Have you seen a mouse with a woffelly nose?
He's just got out...

Hasn't anybody seen my mouse?

Snake; an oracle of oath

The godless men worship the snake
The godless men take oath in name of snake
And the curse comes upon wrongdoer
The godless men take oath in the name of snake
And blessing rains upon the innocent
The godless men take oath in the name of snake
And snake bitten dead the lair
And snake spare life of the truer
Despite snake answers to godless men
No votive or thank given to snake, the god
So the stopped the men to swear
By it name, snake said men used
Thunder and fire for swearing instead of it name
As snake disowned the godless men
Hex fallen upon

The Black Crow (in answer to Ted Hughes)

Crow flew up into the air
looking, always searching
with a keen eye
roving down to earth from the sky

with wings flapping
under the blazing sun
almost blurring in
their quick movement

and flying from the blinding sun
with paws folded in
but at a time he had to dropp down
like lightning falling from the sky

to find something somewhere
a mouse, a rat or a bigger rabbit
to feed with claws ripping
with blood oozing red under them.

Blacker than the night,
spreading his wings
again he challenged the sky
thinking about being supreme

and that was his undoing
as he flew up as high as eagles do
against bare cliffs to a nest of their young
and faster than light, was pierced, was flung from it

dropping down from the heights
and heard the screaming roar
of a eagle’s triumphant song
just before death ended everything for crow.

a mouse teaches Diogenes

You see Diogenes living in the slums. He lives in a barrel. This is the man even Alexander the Great admires. So it makes you wonder about Diogenes.

So you pretend to be there quite by accident and you ask: “Diogenes…Who was your teacher? ”

“A mouse was my teacher, ” says Diogenes.

You are quite confused. And you say: 'A mouse is your teacher? And how is that, Diogenes? '

“Well, most exquisite Sir, ” says Diogenes to you. “Most cultured Sir, ” he says. “I had no home and I was in the streets. I almost killed myself. Then I saw mouse. Mouse ran around and looked for food and it found some and I observed mouse for over two days. And I realized how resourceful mouse was. And then I said to myself: ‘Learn of the mouse, Diogenes- and all will be well.’ And so I learned of mouse. And every time I have a problem, I simply ask myself: ‘How will mouse solve this? ’ And so mouse became my teacher. And now, most Exquisite Sir, I have a problem. You. I want to get rid of you and I ask myself: ‘How would mouse solve this problem? ’ He would bite…”

You listen to this and you are afraid – and you run. And Diogenes has done well; he has learned well from his teacher. And you can hear him shouting to you: “By the way, who was your teacher? ”

Slithering Serpent

Slithering down a slimy slope,
the serpent dared to hope,
for the eagle's nest left an egg,
to satisfy his hunger dread.

This eagle soared with wings held high,
far away through the sky,
for the egg was rotten, stinking vile,
for the snake it would be so satisfying to rile.

This present became a nail too,
for the snake only wanted to avoid the blue,
through the mountains it slithered away,
though its gnawing hunger would not abate,
Writhing in agony it stroke out,
at all the world did it silently shout,
as its wings worry did send
that its journey was almost at an end.

None understood, this serpent had a chance
to be more than just a thief, and enhance
those others around, by being that which they did not fear,
till no longer could those lies it hear,

Its cries filled the world at this last cruel joke,
for the paltry few it had dared to poke.

Feces

It is going to take a miracle...
To remove the fumes left,
By this rodent's feces!
And all of those who followed,
This disaster with support...
Are just as guilty for their 'droppings'.
But their stench has been perfumed!
Although leaving absolutely no room,
For doubt of their treacherous ways!
And betrayal isn't quite the word,
On the tips of tongues these days!
Everyone will pay for decades,
For the extravagant charade they laid!
Leaving millions to live in anguish forever.
With an inflicted display of greed...
These rats created!
With the belief they can quietly leave!
And history will not be blind,
To colorize with flair and added dignity...
Or beautify the shaming disgust,
Just what these 'monsters' left behind!
It is going to take a miracle...
To remove the fumes left,
By this rodent's feces!
And surely the foundation,
Of that which has been glorified...
Has to be revamped,
To improve and solidify
All the damage that has been done!

The Cause of Enmity between Snake and Man

Snake, the first owner of fire.
Dog, the robber of fire.
Man the last owner of fire.
The snake gave birth first to fire.
Thus fire, the first born of snake.
Thus snake, only owner of fire long ago.
One cold evening
The man dying of coldness
The dog seen it master dying of coldness
It went to snake house and begged
The snake, the mother of fire to let
It tail get warm of fire
The snake cordially welcomed the dog
The dog twisted it tail on fire
The tail caught the fire
The dog jumped over the snake in door
Ran quickly to it master, the man
The man took the grass and wood
And lit up the fire
The fire lit up in man’s house
And it extinguished in snake’s house
The snake come to get fire back
But the man attack the snake
The hostility between man and snake
Began then

snake on the ground slithers. The plains scream out in fear, it slides onto my back and forces out my red tears. into my thought i can now see how foolishly i used to be. I remember the snake on my back and how i remember i should have fought back. The trees dance in scilence the fire now devoures the plains, the snake told me to forget my name. I threw the snake off my back with no sound forcefully it lay dead by the ground. Now i can feel the snake beneath my feet.
