Francesca
You came in out of the night
And there were flowers in your hand,
Now you will come out of a confusion of people,
Out of a turmoil of speech about you.
I who have seen you amid the primal things
Was angry when they spoke your name
IN ordinary places.
I would that the cool waves might flow over my mind,
And that the world should dry as a dead leaf,
Or as a dandelion see-pod and be swept away,
So that I might find you again,
Alone.

If Only Flowers Spoke
if only flowers spoke
wouldn't each petal
flow as a precious tear
on our cheeks?
if only flowers spoke
won't we hang our heads
in shame for the savage act
in normal parlance, a rape?
if only flowers spoke
will we ever lay our hand
on them even to offer
to the dumb gods?
we go on
for flowers are silent
and so are gods
and we, insensitive!

Ordinary Girl
How will I know if someone loves me
How will I know if there is no one else
Dying to have someone who loves me
But I want them to love me for myself
Looked for love in all the wrong places
I searched the moon and stars
Found myself lost in a world full of faces
The place I didn't look was my heart
I've been all around the world try to find something new,
Lord knows that something was you
'Cause I found in myself the one thing that is true
All I want is an ordinary girl
All I need is an ordinary girl
Ordinary
All I want is someone I can talk to
Someone I can lean on now and then
And I don't wanna lie, pretend I am someone else
I am just looking for a friend
My heart was going through so many changes,
I didn't know which way to turn
Just when I thought I had all of the answers
I found I still had so much to learn
I've been all around the world try to find something new,
Lord knows that something was you
'Cause I found in myself the one thing that is true
All I want is an ordinary girl
All I need is an ordinary girl
Ordinary
Someone to love me
Ordinary
I just wanna feel lost in love forever
wanna see that look in your eyes
I hope that you understand what I am saying, baby
Cause girl I need you right by my side
I've been all around the world trying to find something new,
Lord knows that something was you
'Cause I found in myself
the one thing that is true
All I want is an ordinary girl
All I need is an ordinary girl
Ordinary
Someone to love me
Ordinary

She Ain't Your Ordinary Girl
(Robert Jason)
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She don't love carelessly that's what I've always heard
'Can't use the usual lines she measures every word
No empty promises proof is what it takes to win her heart
The truth and nothing less, simple things that set her far apart
Save your diamonds and your furs she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
No midnight alibis, no foolish games for her
And if you cross the line you'll get what you deserve
But when you see her smile nothing seems to matter anymore
And in a little while you'll feel like you've never felt before
Like no other in the world, she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
Save your diamonds and your furs, she ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl

Life. Its Reaason And Seasons
Life is a journey with a heart full of love so deep as the ocean.
Then along the way we are met with many a variable emotions.
Sometimes we fail to live the life we planned and had in mind.
So we seek solace in a life that we never expected to ever find..
Simple things can blossom into a beauty, so precious and rare.
When ordinary becomes extra-ordinary, with tender loving care
And those memories special flow into the hearts forever more
Like the oceans waves that keeps on running into the sandy shore…

Swept Away
(d. hall/s. allen)
I was lying there
Lying on the beach
I dreamed you were there
Feel the heat
The sun and the waves
When you touch my hand
We were on a desert island
And I had a dream
I was swept away
You and I are on an island
Where I thought the storm would never end
I saw your light on the horizon
And I knew that I was blown away again
No it doesnt matter
Yeah, it doesnt matter
cause nothing lasts forever
cause nothing last forever
No it doesnt matter
No it doesnt matter
cause nothing lasts forever
Nothing last forever
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
The rise and fall is endless
The risk you run of being lost in blue
You caught my drift while I was restless
When the current flows
Im gonna flow with you
No it doesnt matter
Yeah, it doesnt matter
cause nothing last forever
Nothing last forever
No it doesnt matter
No it doesnt matter
cause nothing last forever
Nothing last forever
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
For a day
Or maybe for a lifetime
Break away
Is he throwing me a lifeline
If I say
That this will be the last time
Swept away
Will it end with you?
I was swept away
Swept away
Swept away
No it wont, no it wont
No it doesnt matter
Nothing last forever

Ordinary People
Star:
I am the image maker. I am the magic
Maker. I can turn the most ordinary
Man in the world into a star. to prove
My point I am going to find the most
Mundane little man and turn him into
Celebrity. hmm! this looks like a
Suitably uninteresting house. I wonder
If theres anybody here with enough
Star quality?
He presses the doorbell.
Star:
Hello. whats your name?
Wife:
Andrea.
Star:
Oh, thats a nice name. whats your
Husbands name?
Wife:
Norman.
Star:
His names norman. that sounds
Ordinary enough. I would like you to
Join in a unique experiment with me.
I am going to take normans place for
A few days. I m going to research his
Ordinary dull little existence.
Wife:
Oh you cant come in now! the place
Is in a terrible mess!
Star:
That doesnt matter. I want you to act
Normally. I want you to treat me as if i
Were norman. I am going to sacrifice
My normal flamboyant life style and
Become ordinary, boring little norman
For a few days.
Ordinary people
Its like another world, being here with you,
Its quite a trip for me, so this is reality.
Im studying every movement, Im trying to learn the part,
Now I want you to be natural, just relax and be as you are,
cos its all for art, I want to observe the ordinary people
Tomorrow I shall become norman,
I shall go to his office,
Mix with his workmates.
And if they ask any questions
I shall say Im doing research for one of my songs.
Nomand and I are changing places
And Im going to make him a star,
So Im throwing away my stage suit and Im packing away my guitar,
For the sake of art Im gonna mix with the ordinary people.
Star:
God these pyjamas are awful!
Wife:
Awful? well all I can say is my norman wears them every night.
Star:
Alright, no sacrifice is too great for art!
The things Ive done for music,
The things Ive done for art.
So Ill make these sacrifices and Ill take it like a star
For the sake of art I will mix with the ordinary people.
Star:
Youd better come to bed darling.
Wife:
Coming! youll never get up for work in the morning.
Im making observations, and character simulations.
Ill mix with his friends and relations,
And hell be a part of me.
Chorus
Hes changing places with norman,
To get background for his songs.
Im immortalising his life
And Ill even sleep with his wife,
For the sake of art Ill go to bed like the ordinary people.
Turn out the light.
Turn out the light.
The star exchanges his silver stage
Suit for normans pin stripe suit,
Umbrella and briefcase. he forsakes
His customary brandy and cigars and
Settles for a cup of hot chocolate before
Going to bed.

Mr Disco
How can I ever forget you
You dont know just what Ive been through
The holiday we spent together
Lives with me now and forever
I tried but I cant find you
Tell me now what do I do
I tried but I cant find you
Tell me now what do I do
I cant find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I used to feel what language cannot say
Oh I cant find you
No I cant find my piece of mind without you
Maybe youd write me a letter
And tell me why I never met you
Our rendezvous just ended in sorrow
Without you theres no tomorrow
I tried but I cant find you
Tell me now what do I do
I tried but I cant find you
Tell me now what do I do
I cant find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I didnt care what other people would say
Oh I cant find you
No I cant find my piece of mind without you
I cant find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I used to feel what language cannot say
Oh I cant find you
No I cant find my piece of mind without you
Ibiza, majorca, and benidorm too
Ive searched all these places but never found you

Millions Like You
Life at times can be filled with turmoil,
not knowing which way it wants to go.
It runs one way and then runs another.
Confusion strikes your mind,
making you unsure what to do.
Whether you want to stay or go with the flow.
There is another alternative
and that is to run away.
Get lost in the far maddening crowd
that seek no pleasures
wherever they wander to
and take solace in the fact
there maybe millions like you,
or you could stay at home
and live with the confusion
that slowly eats away at your soul.

Undesrtanding Art
exercises of the mind,
this morning chill and the waiting hours,
i open the window
to see what they call is another
ordinary day,
a vine hangs in the garden wire
freely it gives three flowers
which the wind takes away,
i take time
this is the moment of conversion
when the ordinary day becomes
special when the three flowers
symbolize the trinity
of faith, hope and love,
the ordinary human eye
seeing the whole world
in such a short time
such beauty,
art plus
sensitivity and
humanity

I am (emotion)
I am tired
tired of the walls closed around me
tired of blindness when I wish to see
I am scared
scared of the love that will never come
scared of where the darkness is from
I am angry
angry at truths that are perceived wrong
angry at the uselessness of a happy song
I am sad
sad for those left behind
sad for the happiness they cannot find
I am confused
confused with the madness of this world
confused with the life into which I'm hurled
I am helpless
helpless to keep my innocence
helpless of it to make any sense
I am dead
dead to the world around me
dead to the people, who refuse see

Elegy On The Death Of A Church Mouse
‘Colonel Gaddafi is dead; long live Gaddafi’,
- whose words those are?
don’t shoot, don’t shoot,
enough blood is spilled!
Gaddafi,
a leaf from the tree is dead;
leaf sprouts, leaf eats, leaf sleeps in the sky,
leaf waves the world in the cheer of palm,
makes no sand out of storm,
no beating themselves by the horse drain,
no hanging noose by the cock’s strain.
Leaf feeds the tree with green
when upon it’s tender face, the horrid-sun shine,
leaf, bearer of flower, bearer of seed,
never the taster of the sap from earth
till drops dead in the paleness of red,
‘don't shoot, don't shoot,
upon the sand is blood,
for the Colonel is dead’,
said, the tree,
and said, ‘Long live Gaddafi!

0016 Fathers, Sons, and Families
and next to the world of heavenly gods,
the world of ancestors…
when ageing Indian fathers heard the call
that spoke some other world, they called their son
and put to him three propositions, to which
he might then make three promises:
‘You are all things - you are God in everything ' –
this the first, to call the open mind
to gain the widest knowledge of all things;
‘You are sacrifice, surrender – you are universal law,
tradition, responsibility…’: this the second; then
‘You are the world – you are humanity itself—
find this and live by it..’
the father’s mind now freed; and for the son,
continuity; and constancy; the good passed on;
all that fathers seek, for family and son;
and so the family lives on, in sweet redemption
of its generations, in its hopes, and in its love.
* * *
And so, I like to think, poets speak for them today
in rituals of poetry; holding in cupped hands
against the cold night winds of chance and change
the lights that pass from hand to hand,
from mouth to mouth, from ear to ear,
saying, remember, you are all things
in all your shining consciousness;
you speak of all good things and pass them on
in all your glorious languages;
you are the world, yourself,
you are humanity

Ordinary Days
Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just trying to get by
Just a boy, just an ordinary boy
But he was looking to the sky
And as he asked if I would come along
I started to realize
That every day he finds just what he's looking for
And like a shooting star he shines
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can
If we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
As he spoke, he spoke ordinary words
Though they did not feel no
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal
And as I looked up into those eyes
His vision borrows mine
And I know he's no stranger for I feel
I've held him for all of time
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can, no
And if we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Please come with me
See what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee
Time will not flee
And you must be
Just a dream, just an ordinary dream
As I wake in bed
And the boy, that ordinary boy
was it all in my head?
Didn't he ask if I would come along?
It all seemed so real
But as I looked to the door I saw that boy
Standing there with a deal
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can, no
And if we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just trying to get by
Just a boy, just an ordinary boy
But he was looking to the sky

Barely
When my love complained, every word
A breath on my last dandelion
And so lovers will leave and their tears
Souvenirs for the very first time
I searched the world reluctant
To find a lover enthusiastic
Speak to me barely if at all
When I was a boy, funny things
Water wings kept you confident
A belly of wine, similar
To keep yourself indifferent
And I scraped the bargain basement
Bought a lover less than fantastic
Spoke to me barely if at all
Taste perfume that burns my throat
And I am free of envelope
Squeeze an instant out of me
And she placed a hand between our lips
How could anything be so precious
She kissed me barely if at all
And she, with a hand between our lips
Gave me what we now have in common
She left me barely if at all

Closet Chronicles
Once carried through the current
And been swept away
The king is in the closet
He's hiding from today
And though he owns all fortunes
This is where he'll stay
And his world is filled with darkness
Turning grey
Gazing out the window
Of the 42nd floor
He is separate from all others
No one knocks upon his door
And it might as well be raining
Cuz the sunlight hurts his eyes
And his ears will never hear the children's cries
Once proud and full of passion
He fought the cause of man
Many people loved his courage
Many followed his command
He changed the old into the new
And the course of things to come
And then one day they noticed
He was gone
At first it didn't matter
Nobody seemed to care
They all became too busy
To find him anywhere
So no one knew, not even him
The problems he would find
On the day he journeyed deep into his mind
I close my eyes, I go far away
Away from the battlefield
In my dreams well, here I will enjoy it
Where innocence plays with all the laughing children
The kind who are crying now
A taste of freedom from the pain
Of everything here i see
Life is sweet but I took it all for granted
And now i don't know if i can ever tell you
Just what we permit, we allow
Allow me to forget the life
I've made my own
I've held this nation in my hand and yet it's not my home
Oh, allow me just one answer and one reason why
Why this refugee of the family of man must die
Tell me why
Daydreams filled his nighttimes
And night dreams filled his days
Confusion and uncertainty
A puzzled mind of haze
You thought he was so powerful
And set upon his ways
Well he left us all to travel through his maze
I heard the king was dying
I heard the king was dead
And with him died the chronicles
That no one ever read
The closet's fully empty now
Its occupied by none
I'll draw the drapes, now destiny is done

Dandelion
Settle down now and sit with me
Let me tell you how this all came to be
A yellow flower with your pedals to the air
And flying on paper wings that brought you here
Summer rolls on in the lazy hours
An ether dream way
Of hummingbirds and clouds
Midnight swims in the cool back waves
And you in my arms as it rolls away
Chorus
Little dandelion
Let your heart keep time
Now the clouds are gone
All of your tomorrows shine
Oh oh
All of your tomorrows shine
Oh oh
All of your tomorrows shine
Born of restless night the moon as a pearl
Playing games down inside your soft warm world
Hear my voice I know that you can
You're the fire in my eyes
The sun as a man
Seasons come along and seasons go
And what they'll leave behind
I don't pretend to know
I'm afraid that all I have missed
Will loom very large when the darkness lifts
Chorus
Little dandelion
Let your heart keep time
Now the clouds are gone
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
I will ride by your side
Wherever you go
I won't run I won't hide
Just letting you know
Chorus
Little dandelion
Let your heart keep time
Now the clouds are gone
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine
All of your tomorrows shine

Young people.
Many young one, even some older is in a great turmoil,
According to them parents, schools or workplace are unfair, so they constantly boil,
Many times in history the young starts a revolution,
Hot headed, angry, do not find any other solution.
Cool down lovely friends, learn more about many things,
After gathering more wisdom you will see the happenings,
If you rebel you will suffer, you can became a nut,
Does it worth the whole foolishness, in misery to be caught?

There are Places (From, To Oscar Act III)
There are places so far away
Where the ocean has its spell
And dark doesn't leave the day
When the night says its farewell
There are times of lasting things
Further out in unknown nowhere
Where a different world sings
Remote from all the reality here
Something no one listens too
For the dreams are very brief
Wishful themes and quite new
That so soon must split and leave
Every heart is what you'll know
Nothing else to reach there out
Wandering waves in tides flow
Reaching to those shores about
There are pleases in the sea
Further on and tenebrific now
Where we all would want to be
But never can reach to somehow
For in reality we must hearken
Holding on to what we're seeing
If there's some somewhat darken
We are not suppose to believing
There are places so far away
Where the oceans has its spell
And dark doesn't leave the day
When the night says its farewell
There are times of lasting things
Further out in unknown nowhere
Where a different world sings
Remote from all the reality here
