Please Keep Repeating
Do you find,
That your mind,
Doesn't hold,
Information told.
What's to do,
Makes one blue,
Mind's depleting,
Please keep repeating.
Can't slot things in,
To 'My Computer Bin',
In the memory section,
Can't make a connection.
Need robotic brain,
Should I retrain? ,
Before it's too late.
Say that again, Mate?

Too Much To Think About
Sister help take this pain from my heart
Help me stand up and find out whats right
Dont want to exist here in the dark
When the gates of eden offer so much light
But theres too much to think about
Too many problems in my brain
Yeah, theres too much to think about
How could I ever make up my mind
Young man lay down your guns
And hold your woman in your arms
The concretes not worth dying fo
They say theres more to this life
But theres too much to think about
Too many problems in my brain
Yeah, theres too much to think about
How could I ever make up my mind
So what am I living for
They say the truth is not hard to find
Its right here in front of my eyes
If I could just open my heart sometimes
But theres too much to think about
Too many problems in my brain
Yeah, theres too much to think about
How could I ever make up my mind
But theres too much to think about
Too many problems in my brain
Yeah, theres too much to think about
How could I ever make up my mind
Make up my mind
Make up my mind
Make up make up my mind
Make up make up my mind

Make That Connection
Oh what would I do
Oh what would I do babe
Honey I have this feeling
Its never ever ever explained
Yeah Im afraid a part of my heart
Would always feel misunderstood babe
I would never know honey
I never meant to drive you away
Whats wrong?
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
What would I give if I could have you now
Baby what would I give to see your smiling face again
You know theres nothing I would not do
No river I would not swim, no mountain I would not climb baby
If I could have you right here once again
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
Tell me baby is it something I might have said?
Is it something I might have done wrong to change your mind?
Tell me baby is it something Ive have said?
Is it something I couldve done?
Honey somehow let me right all your wrongs
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
Oh what would I give if you would tell me just one thing
Honey what would I give if you would stroke my hand with your brow
Or whisper sweet things into my ear I would smile like a baby
I would be happy like a child if I could have you right here, right here, right here
Right here with me now
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
I want to make that connection, yes I do
I want to make that connection, that connection to you
I want to make that connection, whats wrong?
I want to make that connection, that connection to you

Paranoid
Finished with my woman
Cause she couldn't help me with my mind
People think i'm insane
because i am frowning all the time
All day long i think of things
But nothing seems to satisify
Think i'll lose my mind
If i don't find something to pacify
Can you help me
Occupy my brain, oh yeah
I need someone to show me
The things in life that i can't find
I can't see the things that make
True happiness i must be blind
Make a joke and i will sigh
And you will laugh and i will cry
Happiness i can not feel
And love to me is so unreal
And so as you hear these words
Telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life
I wish i could but it's too late

Apathy Rages Unchecked
I have a strong aversion to.
Doing what I’m told to do
Though other people think I should
I have a different attitude
I have a brain I choose to use
To form my independent views.
Although I’m sure to face abuse
Because I stubbornly refuse
To do what they expect of me
To be what they want me to be
I am a man and I am free.
To live the way that I want to
And do the things I choose to do.
Although the vast majority
do as they’re told quite happily.
They are bogged down in apathy
they can’t think independently.
they either can’t or don’t want to
It makes me sad but I must say
They choose to take the easy way.
They follow like a flock of sheep
Because their minds are lulled to sleep.
they are bombarded constantly.
with adverts by the powers that be.
Which are designed to fill their mind
to make quite sure they never find.
Any reason to complain.
Because they cannot use their brain..
They are convinced that they are free
and yet submit to slavery.
At least that’s how it seems to me.
Things aren’t as they appear to be
Although the vast majority.
Accept things as they seem to be.

mind fillin blues...by Talile Ali
i'm pointing my fingers
everyones at fault
the world is against me
locked deep inside this vault
keeping me down
got me feeling sad and blue
with this messed up inside killing'
i got those mind-filling' blue's
completely delusional
totally insane
thinking things are happening
but it's all inside my brain
keeping me down
got me feeling sad and blue
with this messed up inside killing'
i got those mind-filling' blue's
believe that you love me
in your very own way
it doesn't really matter
because with me that's ok
keeping me down
got me feeling sad and blue
with this messed up inside killing'
i got those mind-filling' blue's
these messed up feelings
inside and blue
because i didn't have the sense
not to fall in love with you
keeping me down
got me feeling sad and blue
with this messed up inside killing'
i got those mind-filling' blue's

It Is Your Mind
Whatcha’ gonna’ do
When your mind
Takes you
To places… that you
Don’t want
To go?
After all, it is your mind
You should rule it!
Wouldn’t you think that was so?
What do you do when you look
at your partner, and instead
See a stranger in bed with you?
And why does your mind
Seem to always find
A reason to make you feel blue?
What do you do
When you see your house,
yet your mind no longer… sees a home?
What do you do
When in a room full of people
Your mind reminds you… you’re all alone?
What do you do
When your mind makes you
Read aloud… words which once, you were smitten
You put your hands oe’r your ears
To shut out the fears… and the tears
from the words that your mind’s just written

The Amulet
The gift I received so long ago, I wore for
protection wherever i'd go.
Inside was your picture. You were my beau.
So many years have passed by since then
and now to my memory it comes once again.
I wrapped it in tissue the day that you died
and put it away until my tears dried.
My life seemed as if I never could find
the reason for living, as though I were blind.
Why did you leave me? Where did you go?
The days of my life, they moved too slow.
As I grew older my mind went to sleep.
The tears, my love I couldn't even weep.
And then one day a flash in my mind
told me there was something I had to find.
A pendant, a charm or an amulet?
Oh let me remember. Don't let me forget.
I searched and searched all over my rooms.
So much time had gone by, so many moons.
My closets, my drawers, I emptied them out.
Even the Bible I'd almost thrown out.
And then as I picked up the coat that I'd worn
to your funeral my dear that left me forlorn.
The memory of that, how could I forget?
Inside its pocket was my amulet.
I opened it slowly to see once again.
The memory of it all came back and then
before it could fade and my memory depart,
I clasped it on tightly right over my heart.
Now you'll protect me until I'm with you.
I hold it. I treasure it. That's what I do.
The feel of it now as I hold it in hand
gives me peace I need to make my mind
understamd.

Some Say
Some say we're never meant to grow up
I'm sure they never knew enough
I know the pressures won't go away
It's too late
Find out the difference somehow
It's too late to even have faith
Don't think things will ever change
You must be dreaming
Think before you make up your mind
You don't seem to realise
I can do this on my own
And if I fall I'll take it all
It's so easy after all
Believe me 'cause now's the time to try
Don't wait, the chance will pass you by
Time's up to figure it out
You can't say it's too late
Seems like everything we knew
Turned out were never even true
Don't trust, things will never change
You must be dreaming
Think before you make up your mind
You don't seem to realise
I can do this on my own
And if I fall I'll take it all
It's so easy after all
Some say we're better off without
Knowing what life is all about
I'm sure they'll never realise the way
It's too late
Somehow it's different everyday
In some ways it never fades away
Seems like it's never gonna change
I must be dreaming
Think before you make up your mind
You don't seem to realise
I can do this on my own
Think before you make up your mind
You don't seem to realise
I can do this on my own
And if I fall I'll take it all
It's so easy after all
Believe me, it's alright
It's so easy after all
Believe me, it's alright
It's so easy after all

Far More Effective
The lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue.
The gossip and innuendos...
Done by those with limited minds too!
There is nothing else I would rather do,
Than to pull these thoughts
Out of my memory...
With the pain I felt!
And the scars that healed with much attitude!
It hurts...
To know others find feelings of mine,
Worthless.
It hurts...
When lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue said
To ruin my happiness...
And to mess up my head!
It hurts!
But not as much as being on the other end
Of retaliation!
Even forgiveness doesn't seem to control it,
When that times comes...
To payback what others have done!
I am not of the 'turn-the-other-cheek' kind!
I pray everyday that God removes the players...
And the bitterness I've been holding for years,
In my mind for some time!
Doesn't make sense repeating the ignorance.
Especially since those deeds done
Have already been repaid with my approval and delight...
By my Father!
And I thank God throughout every hour,
He has allowed me to overcome my taste for retribution!
Knowing that a 'higher power' does that
Much better than I can!
And far more effective.

And Pray Tell
And pray tell why was it you
that came and took my mind?
Was it that you searched for me
or was I not your find?
Why not some other one to seek
and take over their brain?
Whatever the reason, I am lost
and so I do remain
entranced by the seeking
and feeling the weakening
in my ability to have you gone.
'Don't go. Don't leave.' that's what I hear
repeating in my brain.
Its incessant call is a constant,
like a melodic refrain
that never wants to end.

Always On My Mind/in My House
(thompson/james/christopher/tennant/lowe)
--------------------------------
Maybe I didnt treat you quite as good as I should
Maybe I didnt love you quite as often as I could
Little things I shouldve said and done, I never took the time
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Maybe I didnt hold you all those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you, Im so happy that youre mine
If I made you feel second best, Im so sorry, I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasnt died
Give me one more chance to keep you satisfied
Satisfied
Little things I shouldve said and done, I never took the time
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasnt died
Give me one more chance to keep you satisfied
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always in my house
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
You were always on my mind, its true
I never thought of anyone else but you
You were on my mind and in my dreams
I should have stopped to make you see
You were always...
(you were always)
I worked so hard, I thought you knew,
My love, I did it all for you
I never really had the time
I guess you couldnt read my mind
You were always...
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
(always)
(you were always)
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Maybe I didnt treat you quite as good as I should
Maybe I didnt love you quite as often as I could
Maybe I didnt hold you all those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you, Im so happy that youre mine

Its Never Too Late
(d. hartman)
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Its never too late
To try and reach for your desires
Even when your luck is down
You still got chances of turning around
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Its never too late
To hold the power in your hands (power in your hands)
You will find a good, good feeling
Makin new plans and starting again
Its never too late
No, its never too late
No, its never too late no, no, no, no
No, its never too late
No, its never too late
No, its never too late
Its never too late
Time keeps changin everything
Sometimes tearin down
The treasures that it brings
Ever strong
Youll make it through
The secret lies in knowing
That its up to you
Say it with me now
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
We got the time
Theres no doubt in my mind
That its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late
Get the message
Oh, its never too late

When You're In Love
When you're in love
You don't know much about it
Not in your mind
Romantic love
Rots the brain, no doubt about it
You're out of your mind, you're out of your mind
Seeing things like your heart with wings
Then you hear violin strings playing
Feel all the things that you feel you should
You would lie, you would kill, you would die
At least that's what you're saying
The worst thing is that you really would
When you're in love
You don't know much about it
Not in your mind
Romantic love
Rots the brain, no doubt about it
You're out of your mind, you're out of your mind
Six thousand million people in the world
And you say there's just one
The only one, and you must be together
And if they love you the pain is so sweet
And it just gets better and better
And if they don't
You want them more than ever
When you're in love
You don't know much about it
Not in your mind
Romantic love
Rots the brain, no doubt about it
You're out of your mind, you're out of your mind

Losin My Mind
Verse 1
Boy you got me nauseous
I just eat and eat
Hair so messy
In fact its pulled in a weave
Phone keeps oh ringin' but it's not you
So i don't pick it up
Friends told me but it dont help
Cause boy you got me stuck
B-Section
Why did you mess it up
Cause i wont be learnin'
My girls
try to tell me
But i had to learn the hard way
Now i'm so confused
What am i to do
I'm caught up in this madness
Something please take me away
Chorus
I'm losing sleep, and i cant eat
Can't even think
I'm losin' my mind
I hate your guts, love you so much
I'm crackin' up
I'm losin' my mind
Verse 2
Never would of thought that
We would be here
Promises to me
Said that you were different
And i bought it
Should of kept a reciept
B-section
Chorus
Bridge
This aint me
Cant eat cant sleep
Cause so many are losing their mind
Cause in my robe
Our love is no joke
This aint no joke
I'm losin' my mind
B-Section

See my boss said your crazy
My girls had to tell me
You don't deserve me
Got me going crazy
What am i to do

I Have Learned
I had been told 'never' to say never.
And for as long as I lived,
I will learn a 'never' said will return.
And I found that to be true.
I have learned to focus and remain conscious.
Never to keep repeating the same mistakes.
I have learned,
The giving of oneself...
Opens the door to heartache.
I have learned,
Forgiveness for some...
Means a forgetting for them to what they've done.
I have learned,
A revolving door...
Revolves not solve solutions.
I have learned,
A no does not mean yes...
To a depleting of my happiness.
I have learned,
Never to allow my peace of mind...
To be plucked by anyone wishing to get on my nerves.
I have learned,
THAT!
And 'that' aint gon' happen no mo'!
Never.

Oz Factor
look to the sky at night and dream
in my mind you'll find the fiend
I don't think I can hold on much longer
the pressure gives in
and that's just a part of me well
can't make my difference in this world
where I am crazy
my mind starts wearing thin
reality sets in
that's what I'm brought here for
what you can't see the oz will bring
by yourself you'll find the key
only then you'll make the connection
a fine line between
what's known and what's unseen
can't make my difference in this world
where I am crazy
my feet are on the ground
my head's up in the clouds
that's what I'm brought here for
the oz factor...
that's what we're here for that's what we're here for...
the world comes to an end
reality sets in
that's what I'm brought here for...

The Poet's Metamorphosis
Maecenas, I propose to fly
To realms beyond these human portals;
No common things shall be my wings,
But such as sprout upon immortals.
Of lowly birth, once shed of earth,
Your Horace, precious (so you've told him),
Shall soar away; no tomb of clay
Nor Stygian prison-house shall hold him.
Upon my skin feathers begin
To warn the songster of his fleeting;
But never mind, I leave behind
Songs all the world shall keep repeating.
Lo! Boston girls, with corkscrew curls,
And husky westerns, wild and woolly,
And southern climes shall vaunt my rhymes,
And all profess to know me fully.
Methinks the West shall know me best,
And therefore hold my memory dearer;
For by that lake a bard shall make
My subtle, hidden meanings clearer.
So cherished, I shall never die;
Pray, therefore, spare your dolesome praises,
Your elegies, and plaintive cries,
For I shall fertilize no daisies!
