Just A Wish
Whisk me away on a holiday,
Give me a chance to get away,
From all the stuffy, set routine,
Of work and chores at home, like clean,
The floors, window panes and sills,
Suck up the dust and wipe up the spills,
Change the beds, and prepare the meals.
Phew! totally exhausted is how one feels.
Can't there be a magic wand,
To wave and find that I'm beyond,
The horizon, where a different scene,
Awaits, somewhere I've never been,
That really would be such a pleasure,
A bonus, a time that I could treasure,
Somewhere to 'wind down' and 'relax' a while,
Maybe take a steamboat down the Nile.
Now I wouldn't want to journey alone,
Meeting people that I've never known.
I want someone, who's on my wavelength,
Someone who has some 'considerable' arm strength,
To help me carry the cases I'll need,
Now that would be a real good deed,
So to enjoy this gift from right out of the blue,
I would spend it, my 'soulmate', just with you.

A world without music would be so very plain.
From music, spiritually, there’s a lot to be gained.
It lifts your soul, when you’re feeling a bit down.
It is considered one of the best medicines around.
Through music, many emotions we can express.
It is one of the best known busters of stress.
There’s a wealth of rhythms the world wide.
Their power to pull people can’t be denied.
Music comes in so many different forms:
No one type could be considered the norm.
Without music, church bells wouldn’t chime
And our fingers and feet wouldn’t beat time.
Music unites the masses together in a single song,
Even when everything around us is going wrong.
In our bodies, we feel the beat.
To the music, we move our feet.
It has the ability to calm and relax you,
Plus, the ability to exhilarate and enliven to.
Music is a common language, which unites.
It is a force which has plenty of might.
When you hear someone begin to sing,
You often find yourself wanting to join in.
It often brings smiles to people’s faces,
As they go through their daily paces.
It’s great to sing along with your favourite pop star,
At home, at work, in the car or wherever you are.
Music can make you feel like dancing around the floor,
When you’re getting bored with your household chores.

Universal Magic
It's the song of the world.
The tune of everyone's life.
It's the caressing wind.
The ever present nature spills
magic into the air and infuses
it into the bones of every being

strength to those in need of it.

Every Day there are some same things that go on
Monday to Friday, Busy as a bee from Morning to Noon
Noon to Evening work is in progress, time moves on
No time for all the friends wanting to meet you soon
Just slow down a bit, take a walk on grassy ground
See the flowers, people and trees that you never knew
Look at the beautiful smiles that are floating around

Unseen
something's wrong with mother always cleaning the house
and father complains for she does nothing but sweep and scrub
and dust and wipe and rub,
the floors are shiny and father does not like it
he may slide and the children too
and each may hurt the body, but mother cannot be stopped
and we complain like what father does, but mother does not
really mind, for she has become so hardheaded because father
slaps her and we make her deaf with our grumblings
until then when mother died and father cried and we felt we had all our
lives wasted, but there was one in the family who smiled
someone who thought that mother simply did what she liked best
clean the dirt, mop the floors, get all the spider's cobwebs
someone sees the beauty of mother, she's doing her chores still

In the distance a lonely bell,
tolls a solemn beat,
for a weary stranger,
who has lost a foothold,
on life’s road that’s steep,
but with a helping hand,
he can get up to his feet again.
Whenever we feel troubled by life’s many toils,
and feel we have been beaten
beyond anyone’s repair,
exhausted by circumstances,
over which we have no control,
but know that with a helping hand
we could make another stand.
Therefore, on our life’s journey,

Domestic Duties and Chores
I wash myself and brush my teeth
comb my hair and spray beneath.
I put on some clothes, socks and shoes
and wonder about the household dues.
I feed the birds and water the plants
and practice a karate tai-chi dance.
I say my prayers and also meditate
and rest a while in a peaceful state.
I sweep the floors and mop them too
vacuum the carpet and clean the loo.
I have some breakfast in the morning
and later on prepare for the evening.
I check for any mail and bring it all in
then consider what to throw in the bin.
I read and write about what interests me
and if necessary go on a shopping spree.
I cut the grass and also trim the edges
clear the dust away from window ledges.
I occasionally have to prune garden shrubs and trees
and also to rake in and dispose of most of the leaves.
I usually manage to pay most of the rates and bills on time
and then wonder how or why people get involved in crime.
I generally try to do what I seem to know is best
and in doing so hope to pass my routine daily test.
If there are somethings that I have left out
there's a way by which I eventually find out.
I just do what I can and leave the rest to God
Who reminds me now and again what is odd.

You should see all the lights in our old neighborhood
I never thought that little street could ever look so good
I knew that she'd be busy, it's her favorite time of the year
And I don't think she notice, I slipped off to be here
Mary, it's Christmas, and I just had to stop by
To spend a little time with you on this special night
God knows if she could see us now, she wouldn't understand
