Her No.1 Fan

She is so sweet, and only three feet,
Her golden hair, is only just there,
A smile, a grin, can easily begin,
To charm a Gran, her No.1 fan,
We laugh a lot, but don't care a jot,
For we have fun, and when we are done,
Onto the sofa she flops, and then drops
Off to sleep, and I very quietly peep,
And observe her face, so full of grace,
In gentle rest. I am so blessed,
She warms my soul, she makes me whole.

The happy household

It's when the birds go piping and the daylight slowly breaks,
That, clamoring for his dinner, our precious baby wakes;
Then it's sleep no more for baby, and it's sleep no more for me,
For, when he wants his dinner, why it's dinner it must be!
And of that lacteal fluid he partakes with great ado,
While gran'ma laughs,
And gran'pa laughs,
And wife, she laughs,
And I - well, I laugh, too!

You'd think, to see us carrying on about that little tad,
That, like as not, that baby was the first we'd ever had;
But, sakes alive! he isn't, yet we people make a fuss
As if the only baby in the world had come to us!
And, morning, noon, and night-time, whatever he may do,
Gran'ma, she laughs,
Gran'pa, he laughs,
Wife, she laughs,
And I, of course, laugh, too!

But once - a likely spell ago - when that poor little chick
From teething or from some such ill of infancy fell sick,
You wouldn't know us people as the same that went about
A-feelin' good all over, just to hear him crow and shout;
And, though the doctor poohed our fears and said he'd pull him through,
Old gran'ma cried,
And gran'pa cried,
And wife, she cried,
And I - yes, I cried, too!

It makes us all feel good to have a baby on the place,
With his everlastin' crowing and his dimpling, dumpling face;
The patter of his pinky feet makes music everywhere,
And when he shakes those fists of his, good-by to every care!
No matter what our trouble is, when he begins to coo,
Old gran'ma laughs,
And gran'pa laughs,
Wife, she laughs,
And I - you bet, I laugh, too!

How Did You Rest, Last Night?

'How did you rest, last night?'--
I've heard my gran'pap say
Them words a thousand times--that's right--
Jes them words thataway!
As punctchul-like as morning dast
To ever heave in sight
Gran'pap 'ud allus haf to ast--
'How did you rest, last night?'

Us young-uns used to grin,
At breakfast, on the sly,
And mock the wobble of his chin
And eyebrows belt so high
And kind: _'How did you rest, last night?'_
We'd mumble and let on
Our voices trimbled, and our sight
Was dim, and hearin' gone.

Bad as I used to be,
All I'm a-wantin' is
As puore and ca'm a sleep fer me
And sweet a sleep as his!
And so I pray, on Jedgment Day
To wake, and with its light
See _his_ face dawn, and hear him say--
'How did you rest, last night?'

My Maggie

She isn't beautiful as Nefertiti was.
And, unlike Helen,
her face will never launch a thousand ships.
No, her beauty is more open, than entrancing
more welcoming, than enthralling,
more giving, than demanding,
more durable, than perfect.
Perfection inspires no passion,
no lust.
Nefertiti over her?
Her, with her woman's body?
Her, with flesh where woman should have flesh?
Her, with fullness where love and longing
would have nought else?
And her face has beauty in it.
The tender beauty in her gaze
that holds and softens and moulds
a better man within me
than the one that she first knew.
And the bold, brave beauty of her crooked smile.
A smile that tells me who she is,
and who she does not care to be.
Her smile may never softly kill a single soul,
but it warms me, softly warms me,
as I hold her spent and gentle body close to mine.
It warms me from within,
so warms me that it has me dream beyond my worth
and aspire beyond my dreams.

Behind The Smile

(glover)
Behind the smile is great and nice,
Beware of what is in his eyes.
Looks like fun but hes after you,
Its not so funny what that smile can do...
Behind the smile there lies a face,
Filled with cunning but is full of grace.
Comes on friendly but is deadly too,
Beware for hell take care of you...
An innocent soul well it hurts
Im so nieve, thats all you ever see
Behind the smile you cannot see
Lies another fool in misery
Dont be fooled by that friendly grin
The jaws of death are going to draw you in...
Call you in...

Love In Winter

Winter cannot chill my ardent soul
Nor forest entrapped by icy glaze
Her smile is what makes me whole
Eyes that set my racing heart ablaze

Alas, soon come the days of spring
When crocus seek the light of day
When forest birds begin to nest ‘n sing
When nature’s colors offer full display

We’ll stroll together she and me
Through hill ‘n dale, arm in arm
Seek wonders with gentle affinity
We’ll drink our fill of Nature’s charm

How blessed are those that fall in love,
A gift from God's heaven high above

Face Of Love

Until tonight
My heart was just half full
Id never known the fruit which fed the soul
But now I see what may put to rest my longing
For I have seen, the face of love
The grace of god, the face of love
In silence I feared my heart
Would remain words unheard
Inside a seperate mess of skin
But now I know that the skin just veils the soul
For I have seen, the face of love
The grace of god, the face of love
So take my hand and knowing
With it I also give my heart
Wanting to never be seperate again
Let eternity begin
If you were flame
Id allow myself to be consumed completely
Were you wind Id wish you to pass through me
But now I know that the skin just veils the soul
For I have seen, the face of love
The grace of god, the face of love

They Loved One Another

THEY loved one another! young Edward and his wife,
And in their cottage-home they dwelt, apart from sin and strife.
Each evening Edward weary came from a day of honest toil,
And Mary made the fire blaze, and smiled a cheerful smile.
Oh! what was wealth or pomp to them, the gaudy glittering show,
Of jewels blazing on the breast, where heaves a heart of woe!
The merry laugh, the placid sleep, were theirs; they hated sloth,
And all the little that they had, belonged alike to both,
For they loved one another!

They loved one another; but one of them is gone,
And by that vainly cheerful hearth poor Edward sits alone.
He gazes round on all which used to make his heart rejoice,
And he misses Mary's gentle smile, he misses Mary's voice.
There are many in this chilly world who would not care to part,
Tho' they dwell together in one home, and ought to have one heart,
And yet they live! while never more those happy ones may meet;
And the echo from her home is gone of Mary's busy feet:
And they loved one another!

They loved one another! but she hath past away,
And taken with her all the light, the sunshine of his day;
And Edward makes no loud lament, nor idly sits and mourns,
But quietly goes forth at morn, and quietly returns.
The cottage now is still and dark, no welcome bids him home,
He passes it and wanders on, to sit by Mary's tomb.
Oh! weep my friends-for very sad and bitter it must be
To yearn for some familiar face we never more may see-
When we loved one another!

Smile For Me

'Smile for me!

Is somebody waiting for me?

She took this picture

Did she take it for me?

Time is ticking,

Her smile insists, just to tell her was she waiting me?

When she smiles, I feel it, I know, I see it.

When she’s happy,

Smiles so bright, gives me another reason

For her her I’d fight!

I am happy when she’s happy

I smile when she smiles

I face the fact that it’s just her smile.

But I know inside,

Deep inside that smile,

She smiles for me, just for awhile.

A picture perfected, you should see

I just love it when she smiles for me.

She inspires me to reach out my hand

Hold her close

Let her stand

That smile of hers, no one can take,

No matter how early, no matter how late.

The time it takes, you must understand

It starting now, it starts again.

When you see her smile

It makes you see, just how deep is her real beauty.

To display her I would

Smile for me she should

My day would be complete, when she even smiles for me.

Those eyes, that skin, her hair, that grin

Makes you forget what world you are in

Her eyes I gaze

Her hands so soft

When she?

Will she?

I think she ought.

Smile for me, not the first or the last

Just smile for me, my time has past

I wait to see that smile she wore

She smiles for me forevermore.

Did I miss it?

Here it comes, a smile for me is coming out

But when, If, I wonder how.

She smiles when she sees me, when I am no where around

That smile she has inspires us all.

Will she smile? will she smile at all?

I wait to see, is it coming out? That smile is here,

It’s out it’s out

Taken with time

A grin so new

Just one more smile

Ok make it two.

Held in my arms.

Waiting’ to see.

Smiling, waiting, too much to ask,

But smile for me, at last, at last!

I saw one coming out

Here’s another

She smiles, she smiles like no other.
When she, will she, I should wonder,
But that smile of hers is the 9th world wonder.

Smile for me, smile wide smile bright!
Give me a smile to rest with tonight.

My smile is yours as you can see,
But smile for me so they all can see.

Hidden behind that timeless frame,
Is a smile I would love to see again and again'

Haircut.

The Barber came to cut my hair,

I told him that it wasn't fair.

My hair had done him no harm,

Without it I would loose my charm.

The Barber he grinned a silly grin,

Said to cut my hair would be no sin.

That I should face it like a man,

But I'm a coward and away I ran.

Do you like sitting in a Barbers chair,

With him chopping away your lovely hair.

Once my head was full of curls,

Covering my face with twisty twirls.

But then the Barber came my way,

I was a child, I had no say.

Off came my curls one by one,

The Barber seemed to have great fun.

Now I'm old and very grey,

I'm nearly bald, my hairs gone away.

But when I see a Barbers chair,

I feel the loss of my curly hair.

You know I truly rue the day,

When that first Barber came my way.

But I miss you Gran

I miss you so much Gran.
You left me.
And I don't no why.
But i miss you Gran.
I thought you'd be here for ever.
But now you've gone away.
And I miss you Gran.

I wish you could come back.
I can no longer see you.
I can't touch your face or hold your hand.
I can no longer give you a hug and a kiss.
I miss you Gran.
I don't understand why you had to go.

You've gone from this world.
And I miss you Gran.
I wish you were here.
A friendly face you alwys had.
Words of wisdom you would give.

But I miss you Gran.
My heart is breaking.
I just hope you no that I loved you.
I miss you Gran I really miss you.

Art Thou Poor

Art thou poor, yet hast thou golden slumbers?
O sweet content!
Art thou rich, yet is thy mind perplexed?
O punishment!
Dost thou laugh to see how fools are vexed
To add to golden numbers, golden numbers?
O sweet content! O sweet, O sweet content!
Work apace, apace, apace, apace;
Honest labour bears a lovely face;
Then hey nonny nonny, hey nonny nonny!

Canst drink the waters of the crisped spring?
O sweet content!
Swimm'st thou in wealth, yet sink'st in thine own tears?
O punishment!
Then he that patiently want's burden bears
No burden bears, but is a king, a king:
O sweet content! O sweet, O sweet content!
Work apace, apace, apace, apace;
Honest labour bears a lovely face;
Then hey nonny nonny, hey nonny nonny!

Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise.
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby:
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.
Care is heavy, therefore sleep you;
You are care, and care must keep you.
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby:
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.

A Lovely Smile! :)

Smile; is what makes you smile
Forget your worries just for a while
Brings a wave of smiles even in vile
Blooms when you see flowers awhile

Smile is a happy facial expression
Symbolic of warmth and compassion
Needs no reason, place, time nor occasion
Lips just open up and bloom with passion

The magic of an innocent smile is amazing
Its happiness felt and said without saying
A giggle can be as striking as a lightning
Loudness makes the laughter enthralling

Smile lits up the soul and glows the face
Be gentle, Smiling and Enjoy Life with Grace!

your cheeks get rosy

When you laugh:
Your eyes get a sparkle in them
You get this grin on your face that
will make others laugh with you
Your entire body starts to shake
You are a beautiful sight

When you lay sleeping:
Your brows draw together
Your lips pucker up
You will tense up, then relax
You are so peaceful
You are a beautiful sight

When you are just you:
You have the most beautiful eyes
Your face is so express full

What I thought was a smile

Sigh
how to write with such a meaningful title
i guess it all started with a simple smile
that smile so gentle and oh so sweet

how to define
something so divine
the way those lips felt
and to know how they feel

made that smile seem oh so real
to be crushed with a smile oh so sweet
when all it was, was a grin of deciet.

Smiling majestically in the twilight sky
enriching the beauty of the night

whose beauty warms my heart and soul
for life is beautiful when I'm under your

of the night in all your charm and beauty

for my heart is warmed and touched by
every breath and smile I take when adoring
your sweet angelic face sailing majestically
in the nightly sky enriching life with gold

Smile and Grin

Smile even when the path is rough
Grin even when the competition is tough
Smile when the battle is fierce
Grin when the words[truth] pierce
Smile as the head aches in severe pain
Grin as your hard work brings no gain
Smile to the bank when the figures there are few
Grin to tank when all in it is dew
Smile with your siblings in sorrow
Grin with the tidings that says you borrow
Smile when you pursue but you seem lazy
Grin when the future seems hazy
Smile just as a love is lost
Grin though the cost is a lot
Smile as you lose your freedom
Grin as you belong to the thorn's kingdom
Smile when you fall into a ditch
Grin when you encounter a hitch
Smile when locked lies you door
Grin when you appear climbing but still lay on the floor
Smile when situations are not conforming
Grin when circumstance is not reforming
Smile when dreams are not becoming goals
Grin when goals are leading you to gaol
Smile as the flight to wealth is delayed
Grin as the bad news is relayed
Smile for your foes and enemies
Grin as you await your nemesis
Smile as you pay for what you bought not
Grin as you say words you thought not
Smile when you meet with a cheat
Grin when you move like a watch the speed of cheetahs
Smile as you pass through the journey of perseverance
Grin as you wish but must dwell in temperance
As a smile is a confidence of change
and Grin, an outward symbol for revolution residing within range.
