A Distant View
A distant view
Can beckon you
To dream of unknown destinations
Where life has no more regulations
And freedom reigns.
There are no chains.
A distant view
Can summon you
With magnetic power. A forceful attraction
Revealing nothing, not even a fraction
of what is in store
What you're looking for.
A distant view
Can often woo
Your heart, and let you fantasise
About a place you could colonise
Where your soul's at ease
And, your life's a 'breeze'.

Beyond The Distant Hills
The sun is shining for me,
beyond the distant hills.
Where my love is waiting,
for my return.
The water is sweet to drink,
beyond the distant hills,
where a warm fire is waiting,
for my return.
The grass bends in the breeze,
beyond the distant hills.
Where my love’s heart yearns
for my return.
A candle lights a window,
beyond the distant hills.
Where someone keeps a watchful eye,
for my return.
Beyond the distant hills,
where no clouds gather,
and no storms darken the sky.
Beyond the distant hills,
bright eyes wait for my return.
Beyond the distant hills,
my dreams will come true,
and I promised myself one day I will get there.

Kentish Barns New Years Day
This winter scene the misted view
The hedgerow bramble filled
Reveals a distant view of yesterday.
These Kentish barns shrouded
The fog and mist create magic
Transform the view into mystery
That resonates with all that is to come
For this year is new, the pages clean
Who knows what lies ahead?
What mystery waits to be revealed?
For now the day is fog bound
As is the future, not yet begun.

A Distant Hope
A distant hope
Miles beyond reach,
But nothing that two hearts
Can't easily breach.
A distant hope
May seem out of control,
But love has a way
Of fulfilling it's goal.
A distant hope
May seem like a dream,
But dreams can come true
With two hearts as a team.
A distant hope
May be distant now,
But time and patience
Will close distance somehow.

Also Love Those Foreign Others
Your world view.
And my world view,
Are two world views...
With many more too!
And their world view.
Is not our world view.
But unlike you...
Regardless of what's in our minds to think.
We ought to get together.
Respect our sisters and our mothers.
Our fathers and our distant brothers.
And also love those foreign others,
To us.
Who are like sisters and our brothers.
To us.
We've got to one day get together.
And not fuss.
To make our lives together better.
Your world view.
And my world view,
Are two world views...
With many more too!
And their world view.
Is not our world view.
But unlike you...
Regardless of what's in our minds to think.
We ought to get together.
Respect our sisters and our mothers.
Our fathers and our distant brothers.
And also love those foreign others,
To us.
Who are like sisters and our brothers,
To us.
We've got to one day get together.
And not fuss.
To make our lives together better.
Loving with a trust.
Respect the sisters and the mothers.
Do it we must.
Our fathers and our distant brothers.
Do it we must.
And also love those foreign others,
To us.
Who are like sisters and our brothers.
We trust.
We've got to one day get together.
We must.
To make our lives together better.
We must.
To make our lives together better.
We must.
To make our lives together better.
We must!
Together.

Distant Light
Distant light flickers an invitation of hope.
In reaching it, there will be sanctification.
Dimness that surrounds the eyes
will be forgotten.
Black holes that open the heart
will be discarded.
Let the distant light come closer.
Let the distant light be a friend.
Shallow water cannot drown soul.
It can only hinder the passage.
Dampening the spirit as it frolics
like a moonbeam across the mind.
Distance lends unhappiness.
Let the distant light shine bright.
Let the distant light be a guide.
In closets of blackness the hands
seek an opening in the shadows.
They find nothing, but the eyes
focus on a distant light that
calls like a radio in the night.
Let the distant light embrace.
Let the distant light be closer.
In an emptiness of broken glass
there is a pattern to salvation.
Frame the light like fire in the glance,
walk towards it. Find escape.
Let the distant light be strong.
Let the distant light shine forever.
What is the distant light that shines?
What is its meaning in a journey?
This is an answer not easily explained.
This is a hope not readily known.
Let the distant light continue.
Let the distant light always shine.

A Distant Smile
Sunrise, Sunset,
Warm night, regrets.
Summer night dream,
What dream may come?
Life, lies, crime,
live your life the same.
Your destiny will prevail,
From nowhere a distant smile.
Lost love, lost war, life in slow motions,
Lust, attractions, deep night of passion.
Still your destiny will prevail,
From nowhere a distant smile.
Togheter, two soul in this dull begin,
fire on us, but in this holy night will win.
but still your destiny will prevail,
From nowhere a distant smile.
The deep blue see on this horizon,
Will bring to us high terrifying tides,
I can see on the way the perfect wave to ride,
I can see come to us, is a bit far, maybe just a mile,
And from nowhere will appear a distant smile.

Every Star Tells Its Own Lie
EVERY STAR TELLS ITS OWN LIE
Every star tells its own lie.
We see them in the sky
And dream of them
As distant lights
Wondrous other words,
Destinations we may one day
Arrive at.
Stars are fires
Gases and heat
Unbearable darkness and cold
Nothing human.
We look up and dream
But when we truly measure to see
We know
How dark the heavens are
And how deeply distant forever
From what we long to be.

My heart yearns for freedom
Free my heart from the chains of my unfulfilled life
My life of living with no zeal for life
My life of living with a dead soul and a distorted mind
My life of breathing with no air to my lungs
Living life with no purpose is like living no life
Going with the flow of life with your heart resisting
Is like plunging in a burning fire with your eyes opened
I’m crying out loud to you the energies of the universe
With the hope that you’ll notice the sound I make
And that you will comprehend the motive behind my cry
I urge to be freed from the unhappiness that prevails within
My heart yearns to be freed from the suppression of its strength
From being denied its power of self-expression and actualisation
My soul cries for freedom to project its actual image to the outside
It demands that the chains be destroyed to allow it the well deserved freedom
Feed my hungry heart with its energy and its food for the soul
Invite life to my heart by granting it an opportunity to be itself
Activate my heart by releasing it from its chains of freedom
These chains comprise my insecurities and my fears
Untying the chains will loosen up these negative forces
Destroying these chains will destroy these enemies of my success
And will give me freedom that I desperately long for
Freedom to my heart is freedom to my being
Allowing my heart some freedom is giving life to my soul
Allowing my heart some freedom is granting me my true life
Give my heart its freedom and breathe air into my lungs.

My Escape
Looking out towards the horizon
I dream of my escape
Freedom beckons me
I have in my view a different world
A world with a different format
A view so opposite
to the one I have at the moment
But how to escape
Not easy when I have commitments
Things I can't leave behind
but can't take with me either
What a stalemate!
Perhaps it was just a hope,
an idea with no foundation,
a self analysis
There is no escape!
Just a dead end
with no view
And a dream that's no longer viable.

Salvation
Sent to a world cold as steel
Don't know where else I have been
Where will I go? - I can't tell
Who would save us if we fell
Can you feel what I see?
In blind faith would you believe?
Don't share my point of view
But it may mean a lot to you
Tell me will we remember
How it used to be?
Will it be the same
In a time in the future?
Will there be a different way
Can one ever say?
Refrn:
Anthem for a distant world
We'll all be alike
Be there till eternity
One will see
When salvation comes our way
All my life I was sure
Kept my thoughts clean, real and pure
Just as I will always know
We're down here to learn and grow
I am my own entity
And the world is there for free
Keeps me alive till that day
When my soul will find the way
In another dimension
You may find paradise
We'll be safe and warm
I've been told there will be everyone
I held so close and near
There will be no fear
Refrn:
Anthem for a distant world
He'll be all alike
Be there till eternity
One will see
When salvation comes our way

sligo dream of Lorca
I dream of lorca
as the hills are lit by dawn.
The Sligo landscape into view,
the farmers wife with porridge
the breakfast makes.
The farmers early breakfasting
for sheep hills to be tended,
the cows awaken in the dawn,
the son in Boston breaks the
mother distant heart,
the field yields slow.
The outline of the trees,
seen at night as shadow,
into life will come at day,
as Lorca dies beneath the blows
as Christ three times he falls.
As he falls the frosted dawn,
the yearning pining of the sligo
hill comes into view beneath
the slow sun start.
I dream of lorca as he falls beneath
the blow of ignorance, beneath
the meadow copse and field of Spain.
Though vines cry and grapes bleed.
And green is the land,
where to school by the gate he would have passed
to learning,
and the farmer eats the toast and egg,
the day is cast,
and into shape the dream emerges
from the falling down,
the falling down of Lorca,
in another place
brings in the light of day.

Years
It's not the sea of life
that bridges or divides;
it's the wave of time that breaks
circular upon us
all the flotsam of the age elapsed
With chains for sails
we never launched on trembling dreams
never skimmed unleashed across freedom's surf
never danced out of ourselves
in the challenging winds
But the stars still colonise
our jealous eyes
still try to scribble us
fearless and undiminished
into some fading margin
Now ragged moments spin us out
modestly, from rain that refreshed
from the hurdled fence
the high hill view
and the stone that sang across the water
The day my heart dammed me
The day my heart dammed me
~
You asked me to speak a truth
I told you that you were beautiful
How you really made me smile
That I wanted to be with you
You remained silent, grew distant
I knew that those words I spoke
Those feelings I wrote in clear view
Were as true as I could ever admit
How I wished you had not asked
For what I revealed to you became
The day my heart dammed me
How I could have stayed silent
Kept my feeling as a wistful dream
As I have done so often before
I felt as though I could confide in you
That the was no fear left to feel
I knew I was falling badly for you
And so wanted you to feel for me
So I said that you were beautiful
That you could make me smile
I asked to spend time with you
You remained silent, grew distant
The day my heart dammed me

Petals
Life is a stream
On which we strew
Petal by petal the flower of our heart;
The end lost in dream,
They float past our view,
We only watch their glad, early start.
Freighted with hope,
Crimsoned with joy,
We scatter the leaves of our opening rose;
Their widening scope,
Their distant employ,
We never shall know. And the stream as it flows
Sweeps them away,
Each one is gone
Ever beyond into infinite ways.
We alone stay
While years hurry on,
The flower fared forth, though its fragrance still stays.

A Different Point Of View
(tennant/lowe)
----------------------------
When Im sitting so close to you
Theres only one thing that I wanna do
But I know what youre likely to say
That Im going about it the wrong way
We cant agree about anything
Where to go or even where weve been
And I know what youre likely to do
Say that Ive never cared about you
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You dont believe a single word I say
If Id say black was white, youd say it was grey
But in spite of being treated this way
I still dream of you all night and day
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
Just this once
Just say yes
Please
Youve got a clever way of haunting me
Im never scared, but youre still daunting me
cause I know what youre likely to say
And I know that youll get your own way
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view

All These Years
Through all the years, after all the tears.
I'm still haunted by these fears.
Jealousy reigns supreme.
When I think of where you've been,
and who you've seen.
Were they better than me?
Was it more fulfilling?
Did they make you laugh and cry?
Should I be suprised?
The time you spent with those jerks.
Was it just to get a fix?
Did you ever think of me?
Or was I just a distant memory?
All the time I thought of you.
Hoping you'd remember me too.
I realize now I was just a tool.
To shower attention onto you.
To fall in love is it so uncool?
I'm nothing speacial apparently.
Those other guys would most agree.
Did they treat you right?
Or did they use you then take flight?
You're so stupid for thinking I was just a kid.
Does the thought of me just make you laugh?
When you think of how you played my a**?
I was never enough.
You're so blind you'll never see.
There's no other man that's just like me.
Who could love you more than God himself.
Instead you sit there all aloof and laugh.
I'm really great you know it's true.
Just look at how I treated you.
Or do you just view me as a childish fool?
I hoped you'd find me speacial.
Now it's clear I'm in denial.
I want to hate you but I can't.
I don't view you as a vile rat.
It hurts me now to think of you,
because I've never stoped loving and caring it is true.
Your lying words and eyes so smooth.
It's time for me to face the truth.
You walked out with oh such ease.
So go on now and have your sleaze.
I'll love you till the end of time.
Blaming myself for all the shame.
When you need someone that's faithful and true.
I'll still be here just waiting for you

Inspired by Issa - Distant sight
distant sight -
a light in the rhythm
of my heart
distant sight
a light begs me to come near
in the rhythm of my heart
distant sight
a light flickering to
the rhythm of my heart
inspired by
distant sight-
in withered fields
a little house's lamp

Παντα ρει· ουδεν μενει
Upon the water, in the boat,
I sit and sketch as down I float:
The stream is wide, the view is fair,
I sketch it looking backward there.
The stream is strong, and as I sit
And view the picture that we quit,
It flows and flows, and bears the boat,
And I sit sketching as we float.
Each pointed height, each wavy line,
To new and other forms combine;
Proportions vary, colours fade,
And all the landscape is remade.
Depicted neither far nor near,
And larger there and smaller here,
And varying down from old to new,
E’en I can hardly think it true.
Yet still I look, and still I sit,
Adjusting, shaping, altering it;
And still the current bears the boat
And me, still sketching as I float.
Still as I sit, with something new
The foreground intercepts my view;
Even the distant mountain range
From the first moment suffers change.

Soul Traveler
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Why is it these questions now appear?
I've moved along
never questioning before
what will happen to me?
What will be in store?
I sit and think
that I'm on the brink
of something that's hard to explain.
I contemplate the mysteries of life
which always do remain.
Do I know my future? Most certainly not.
But there's one thing I'm sure of.
It's what I've got.
I have a soul
that knows me so well
that wherever I am, wherever I dwell
will be far and beyond
this place I'm in.
For I'm a soul traveler
and so are you.
So together we'll travel,
together we'll view
all of the places where it will seem
that what we are living is just a dream.
My soul will awaken me
when it's time
and higher and higher
I will climb
to experience the wonders
of who I am.
