Without Looking Back
trees cut down,
without a thought;
rivers fouled,
never looking back.
mountains blown asunder,
and oceans oiled....
nuclear meltdowns,
all captured on facebook.
coal dust fogs,
carbon monoxide clouds....
drilling, pumping, humping
the earth... stealing the skies....
polar ice gone...
fish floating belly up....
pesticides sprayed
over vegetables in condoms....
no, never a thought,
...without looking back!

Pepper Spray
would you pepper spray your children?
you've fouled the air they will breathe
for the rest of their lives.....
you've fouled their drinking water,
or sold away the rights.
you've cut down their forests,
driven their animal friends to extinction....
carbon, smoke filled, oil spilled,
coal dust, radiation leaked.....
you've taken away their chances for education....
taken back the aid... left them on the streets,
or worse, sent them off to fight your greed wars...
let them get strung out on dope,
sent them to prison... let them fall
between the cracks....
you taught them your morality....
but your actions have taught them hatred,
fear, prejudice, take what you can get....
you've piled up debt that you're leaving for them....
you sold their chances for employment....
you've fed them lies until...
their eyes open, they just say no,
they've had enough.....
sitting quietly in a firm and well thought
act of protest.... you pepper spray them!
why did you have children to start with?

Progress?
There was this struggling;
a knife-sharp shovel blade
dug deep in Earth's rib-cage.
tall tree limbs severed
which dropp to the ground;
habit homes invaded
and brook arteries polluted;
by drugs and poisons.
The warming eye of sun-
blinded by carbon rain
and stinging neon gas
make sun-sets
and sun downs
red red red.
The animals
flee
to hovels
beneath
the shrinking ground
and pavements slather
on more and more concrete.
Mountains recede
worn down;
the ocean waters
rise to heal the scars
to take back the
dusty dry lands.
Smoke stacks
and coal pits;
Nuclear plants
and nuclear fission.
All this
as the Earth sheds
a near final tear,
weeping
asking:
is this
Progress?

I Can't Realize
I realize buds, flowers and their blooming
in the gardens of earth;
Only I can't realize their falling down from trees.
I realize clouds, rain and the sweet soft sound of its fall;
Only I can't realize the thunder.
Rivers, fields, oceans, forests, hills, mountains—
I realize them all;
Only I can't realize the deserts.
I realize fish, shark, deer and bright striped tiger;
Only I can't realize a shark beside a fish and a tiger
beside a deer.
I realize life,
many turns of life I realize very clearly;
Only the ice-cold death I can't realize any way.

Song for Roxalie and Seth (Running)
running away
that's all I ever do
though I never thought
that I'd ever be running from you
shadows fall
across my soul, across my face
I wish that I could just come back
and take my rightful place
but my heart is racing, blood is pumping
can't believe I'm always running
away from my tears
because I never knew
my thoughts are whirling, head is spinning
can't believe I'm just beginning
to realize all you mean to me
when you're around my skies are blue
dreaming
that's all I ever do
but I never thought
that I'd have to just dream about being with you
pain is lurking
behind every twist and turn
but even after all I've been through
I guess I just never learn
now my heart is racing, blood is pumping
can't believe I'm always running
away from my tears
because I never knew
my thoughts are whirling, head is spinning
can't believe I'm just beginning
to realize all you mean to me
when you're around my skies are blue
please come back, we'll make this right
just take away this endless night
there's no reason to add up the score
we were both wrong, I admit
I don't blame you for calling it quits
but baby I'm not running anymore
now my heart is racing, blood is pumping
can't believe I'm always running
away from my tears
because I never knew
my thoughts are whirling, head is spinning
can't believe I'm just beginning
to realize all you mean to me
when you're around my skies are blue
please say I can always come home
to you

The Toronto Sky
The toronto sky is bue today because he is feeling much better today
Yesterday the Toronto sky wa sick due to carbon monoxide
And all the cars on the road sends their carbon monoxide to the sky
And the sky couldn't breathe and it is the same wy for those who have Asthma like the sky feeling that they are suffocanting
But me tell you that was exactly how the sky was feeling yesterday
Also I believe that the factorie releases a lot of dirty air into the air
Human neings use all kinds of sprays to clean their homes that affects The ozone layer also

It Really Never Was...
the day is getting darker
painting shadows on the wall
broken wings of blue skies
going for a moment
everything's now in the evening
with longings in the deep
and wishes still not happening
the winter
glasses with frosty roses
and perfect days in somberness
in the white weather
every thought
is now alone
reaching to the mountains
faraway
in silences of time
every hour
is cold and getting colder
with drifting clouds
in northern skies
that can't hold back
how do I not be alone
when times are like these
how do I not feel the blues
when the clouds surrounds me
with few landings
into summer thoughts
every hour
is cold and getting colder
with drifting clouds
in northern skies
that can't hold back
the winter
comes soft and sweet
with clean glisten thoughts
and snowflakes that never stop pouring...
when it gets cold outside
the winter
oh the winter
how fresh it can get
how cold it can get
it really never was...
full of romantic
it just has these surprises
in the weather
that can't hold back
the clouds that surrounds me
it really never was...
just the winter
it really never was...
just the winter

A Story To Tell To Your Lost Civilization...
at first there was peace
trees bear fruits
that turn ripe and children
climb the trees
to gather the apples and
savor what sweetness is there
that nature
has to offer
the land is vast
the sea is immeasurable
the skies infinite
the rivers keep on running
forever
the ocean's depths and
abundance
untiring
people misunderstand what ownership is
stewardship is an alien concept
there is always the want to have
greed is cancerous
a country expands
dictators abound
conquerors become heroes
of their lands
bringing slaves and
the fortune of
others
nature is made to bow down
to caprices
whims are the rules
to destroy is to own
to abuse is to use
wars are made like the way the bombs
are stored
like the way the swords and spears
were once sharpened
to kill
there is always nothing enough
for the imperialist
nothing satisfies the conquerors
disguised as the discoverers of
the new world
and so there will always be war
rebellion will always mushroom everywhere
nothing rests
and it will always be the 'dead who can see
the end of all these wars'
at the end who wins? ah nobody
everyone perishes
and nature shall grow its roots again
to retake its long gone leaves and flowers
its green mountains its pure rivers
its clean and blue oceans
its clouds untainted by the smoke of gunpowder
the mushrooms of that nuclear warfare....

The Land Is Bleeding
Greed rapes the innocent earth
Waters with chemicals
Coral reeves dying
Fertilizers corrupt watersheds
Government lobbyists support industry
Laws let Corporations pollute
Fake scientists bought by business
Global warming denied
Corporate media and press
Commercialism, ratings, propaganda
Oil and energy companies lie
Political will ebbs
Genetically modified products
Monsanto creates diseases
Growth hormones, pesticides
Species dying off
Lack of land preservation
Maybe it will take catastrophe?
We ruin our oceans and rivers
All this false freedom that destroys
Huge garbage islands floating in the sea
PCBs, mercury, led
DON'T EAT THOSE FISH!
What are we leaving our children?
The land is bleeding

We Are The Vegetables
Well I've got this feeling in the back of my head
I feel like making someone's face turn red
Learning bike's and ditto vices
Try to look bored and your going places
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
Some music is playing by metal gazers
It's gone through the stage where everyone makes it
Do you think that we're not good
All I really know is I think you should
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
We are the vegetables
Well I've got this feeling in the back of my head
I feel like making someone's face turn red
Learning bikes and ditto vices

A Child Is Dying
for every tree you cut down,
a child is dying.
for every barrel of oil that
you drill and spill,
a child is dying.
for every coal mine you
rape the earth with,
a child is dying.
for all the nuclear waste
you cannot dispose of,
a child is dying.
for every country you bomb,
a child is dying.
for every chemical you spray
on your vegetables,
a child is dying.
for every river you dam & drain,
a child is dying.
for every oil field you own,
a child is dying.
for every animal you drive
to the brink of extinction,
a child is dying.
for every smokestack, every sweatshop,
and every synthetic thought,
a child is dying.
for every tree you cut down....

Get Back
(LennonMcCartney)
[Sweet Loretta Fat thought she was a cleaner but she was a frying pan.]
Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it wouldn't last.
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass.
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jojo. Go home
Get back, get back.
Back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jo.
Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman
But she was another man
All the girls around her say she's got it coming
But she gets it while she can
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Loretta. Go home
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Loretta
Your mother's waiting for you
Wearing her high-heel shoes
And her low-neck sweater
Get on home Loretta
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
[Thanks, Mo! ...on behalf of the group I hope we passed the audition.]

Carbon Sinks
I think that I shall never see
a better Carbon Sink than M.I.T.’s
It helps keep green house gas at bay
By sequestering it away
The Carbon Sink works like a tree
but does it more efficiently
When trees in wintertime are bare
The Carbon Sink still cleans the air
And trees can yield up carbon once again
When Forest fires make them burn
Poems are made by fools like me
But Carbon Sinks are made by M.I.T

Once I was foolish
Once I was foolish—
I thought I could nurture
A garden of flowers
In a desert
Once I was foolish—
I thought I could clad
A desiccated tree
In its lost foliage
Once I was foolish—
I thought I could restore
A bird missing
Back to its nest
Once I was foolish—
I thought I could swim
The length and breath
Of the oceans
Once I was foolish—
I thought I could ease
An aching heart
And wipe the tears
Once I was foolish—
I thought my dreams
Will bloom into colorful petals
That I might sprinkle in you way
I want to be foolish
Again and again…

Confidence (misplaced Revised)
man's greed may
boast of finally
consuming the
earth in the
next hundred
years
cutting all the trees
polluting the sea and air
and rivers
exploding its mountains
killing all the
fetus
and whatever hope
for the seeds
annihilated
but the earth knows
everything right
from the start
soon every destruction
is pingponged
back to man
and the earth will be
back to another
thousand years of
silence
sleeping waking
and humming
another grass so green
is spread
butterflies unhampered
whales crowding
the sea
peaceful landscapes
dews and
mildews
birds and grasshoppers
and whales
singing in
perfect harmony

100 degree C
Fire, fire, fire
The earth is burning
No spring, no autumn, no snowfall,
No green leaves
My forest, my trees, my bamboos,
My flowers,
Crying in the midnight
Winter becomes summer
Summer become lava
Lava becomes human
My clouds, my rain, my ponds,
My rivers, my lakes, my oceans,
Each looks like the sand of desert
Buildings are high
Furniture is beautiful
Nuclear weapons are pretty
But the morning dews never fall down
The sky is start burning
My trees getting vaporizing
They make me boil
Human beings make me fire
If I stop cry today
Everything will disappear tomorrow
Don’t let you keep me at 100 degree C
Kind for tomorrow
Kind for your souls!

As It Was Written
Earth, earth,
riding your merry-go-round
toward extinction,
right to the roots,
thickening the oceans like gravy,
festering in your caves,
you are becoming a latrine.
Your trees are twisted chairs.
Your flowers moan at their mirrors,
and cry for a sun that doesn't wear a mask.
Your clouds wear white,
trying to become nuns
and say novenas to the sky.
The sky is yellow with its jaundice,
and its veins spill into the rivers
where the fish kneel down
to swallow hair and goat's eyes.
All in all, I'd say,
the world is strangling.
And I, in my bed each night,
listen to my twenty shoes
converse about it.
And the moon,
under its dark hood,
falls out of the sky each night,
with its hungry red mouth
to suck at my scars.
