Warriors Pledge... (Conclusion)

well, i've heard the footsteps
of hard determined walkers.
lost in the din and the noise
of angry faceless talkers
been twice betrayed by love,
in my hour of need.
i've planted my thoughts,
the earth swallowed my seed.

i've torn down the idols,
and exposed the lies.
been to the place
where the last raven flies.
put names on the bodies
strewn in the ditch.
been called a fugitive
and a son-of-a-bitch....

i saw that which i hated
in the mirror before me.
found the cost of my slavery,
and set my heart free.
i plowed the last garden,
built a house with doors open.
kept struggling and fighting,
believing and hoping.

i've listened to silence,
and learned god's voice.
found that we are defined,
by daring and choice.
i'll say this one time,
and return to the ground.
we are what we give,
the touch and the sound....

we are what we give,
the touch and the sound...

amen!

Blue World

Heart and soul took control
Took control of me
Paid my dues spread the news
Hands across the sea
Put me down turned me round
Turned me round to see
Marble halls open doors
Someone found the key
And its only what you do
That keeps coming back on you
And its only what you say
That can give yourself away
Underground sight and sound
Human symphony
Heard the voice had no choice
Needed to be free
Fly me high touch the sky
Left the earth below
Heard the line saw the sign
Knew which way to go
Cos its easier to try
Than to prove it cant be done
And its easier to stay
Than to turn around and run
Its a blue world
It takes somebody to help somebody
Oh its a blue world
Its a new world
It needs somebody to love somebody
Oh its a blue world
Heart and soul took control
Took control of me
Paid my dues spread the news
Hands across the sea
Put me down turned me round
Turned me round to see
Marble halls open doors
Someone found the key

Silence

I got a feeling
Everything's gonna be alright
And I still find my way
And I heard
It's always darkest before the storm
So come on let it rain
Everything was different when I was seventeen
The world was so much brighter
Now I finally found the truth
Of what they hid for me
That world was so much kinder
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
I believe
That we were meant to learn from our mistakes
And stumble along the way
Now I know
That people are gonna grap what they can take
Then just turn away
Everybody's searching
But no one really knows the truth
The world is upside down
What it's all about right now
Will soon turn to gray
Their promises have faded
Silence
Silence
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
All my little merry friends
Have turned their backs on me
Excuse me if I'm jaded
I'm so tired of people telling me
How it should be
Their promises have faded
Silence
Silence
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
Silence

And So Found Dawn

it was in doubt
that i found faith.
it was in forgiveness
that i found forgiveness.
it was in loss
that i found passion.
it was in suffering
that i found understanding.
it was in letting go
that i found freedom.
it was in the mirror
that i found prayer.
it was in darkness
that i found light.
it was in jail
that i found dignity.
it was in addiction
that i found determination.
it was in giving
that i found love.
it was in fighting
that i found reason.
it was in reason
that i found dissatifaction.
it was in questioning
that i found truth.
it was in truth
that i found the need for silence.
it was in silence
that i found kindness.
it was in working
that i found respect.
it was in respect
that i found acceptance.
it was in living
that i found god.
it was in god
that i found the need to touch.
it was in caring.
that i got dirty...
and so found dawn...

Hungry Like The Wolf

Down in the city, night is alive
Steam in the subway, earth is afire
Do do do do do do
Woman you want me, give me a sign
You check my breathing
Im just a moment behind
Do do do do do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound
Lost and Im found
And Im hungry like a wolf
Night is a live earth is afire
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound lost and Im found
And Im hungry like a wolf

A right to choose

No one can take away my freedom
It has never happened or took place seldom
It has to be there by virtue of natural justice
It has been guaranteed by forefathers as promise

Man is born free so he must have his say
He has every right to choose his way
It may be applicable to any of the gender
Anybody who violates it can be termed as offender

I had wished to be a free bird
I wanted to run among the heard
It was to be an open sky with vast horizon
Not to be divided by any region or zones

Open frontiers with no restrictions at sea
Waves to strike at cost and no one to flee
Enjoy the sound with utmost silence
Natural scenes with winds presence

Birds were to fly with little noise
They had joy with enough choice
I had an urge to sing with good voice
I was determined to surge with good poise

Lions, tigers found their equal share
Nice atmosphere found no where
River flowed with calm water
All needs were allowed to cater

It is unique to breathe with fresh air
Head will zoom and raise the hair
Everything seems naturally fair
Air is thick but very clear

A word to keep and good to promise
Enjoy it full with not a moment to miss
I shall try to cherish as fulfilled dream
The sun may shine with bright beam

Freedom and thoughts got to go together
Synchronize well with season and weather
It may provide relief and breather
There is no tension and nothing to bother

Like The Breeze, Like A Storm

I ain’t easy to live with
Some say it’s bloody hard
My life’s a keyboard
And sometimes a guitar
I’ve lived every note from the heart

Without love, life is empty
Like the clear blue sky, sometimes you need a little rain
Take my heart, take it empty,
Fill it with your love, then give it back again
And in return I’ll touch you like the breeze and ravish you like a storm

I ain’t easy to live with
Some say it’s bloody hard
My life’s a keyboard
And sometimes a guitar
I’ve lived every note from the heart

Without thoughts, you are empty
Like the bird that flies, sometimes you need the earth
Take my mind, take it empty,
Fill it with everything, give it birth and everything you have come to know
And in return I’ll touch you like the breeze and ravish you like a storm

Each dropp of water that falls to the ground
Makes it’s own unique sound
Each star that flickers deep into the night
Send a note of pure delight

Without love, life is empty
Like the clear blue sky, sometimes you need a little rain
Take my heart, take it empty,
Fill it with your love, then give it back again
And in return I’ll touch you like the breeze and ravish you like a storm

I ain’t easy to live with
Some say it’s bloody hard
My life’s a keyboard
And sometimes a guitar
I’ve lived every note from the heart

He Cares For All

There is not one soul anywhere, for whom The Lord doesn’t care,
As Christ reaches far and near, to touch the heart, filled with fear,
With The Holy Spirit, sowing seed, helping men to see their need,
Bringing hearts to that place, where they see their need for Grace.

He’s a God who cares for all, and changing not since Adam’s fall,
And the Paradise created then, will be the same for believing men.
God wants no one to perish; the very heart of the God we cherish,
Who wants all men to come to Him, to be delivered, from their sin.

Paradise, man was forced to leave, shall return for all who believe,
For it was sin that was excluded, in the Garden, man was included,
From the garden man lost his way, and he remains lost to this day,
Even though God was never lost, to restore man He paid the cost.

God had sent His Only begotten Son, into this world for everyone,
Restoration for us came in Him, who would destroy death and sin,
Christ came as God’s Sacrifice, to bring all men back to Paradise,
And all we must do is believe, and eternal access we shall receive.

Eternal access to a sinless place, totally supplied by God’s Grace,
A Grace that reaches everyone, if you will only believe God’s Son,
And listen not to the other voice, that swayed Eve’s costly choice,
But, be influenced by God’s Love, who wants all in Heaven above.

The Sound Of Wings.....

from the bars of the cell,
i learned freedom from the body.
from the underside of the bridge,
i learned home has not a house.
from forty years of working,
i learned the bitterness of the slave.
from the political lies,
i learned that truth cant be bought.
from the books i read,
i learned to reason and question.
from the heroin needle,
i learned the value of life.
from love lost,
i learned how to love.
from doubt i learned seeking,
in seeking i found god to be more.
from the scars on my heart,
i learned to be a man.
from battles fought and lost,
i learned the need for peace.
from discrimination i learned equality,
from anger i learned forgiveness.
from the mirror i learned responsibility...
from the bars of the cell,
i learned the sound of wings!

The Sun Always Shine On TV

(pal waaktaar)
Touch me
How can it be
Believe me
The sun always shines on t.v
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me
To me...
I reached inside myself
And found nothing there
To ease the pressure off
My ever worried mind
All my powers waste away
I fear the crazed and lonely looks
The mirror's sending me
These days
Touch me
How can it be
Believe me
The sun always shines on t.v
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me
Please don't ask me to defend
The shamefull lowlands
Of the way i'm drifting
Gloomily through time
(touch me)
I reached inside myself today
(give all your love)
Thinking there's got to be some way
To keep the troubles distant
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me

The Raven Crows

The Raven Crows
by Charles Robert Hice on Thursday, November 22,2012 at 9: 27pm ·
The Raven Crows
The Raven stretches its wings and flies into the gray winter skies while the raven flies it Crows its rawkish voice makes aweful noise
it blows the wind it howls and sounds like a mechanical noise inside the wind
the noise pretends to be the raven as it crows it flies it crows and flies it dives down into the wind and sounds like a noise falling fast and then it sort of dies and falls away not the sound it echoes and it blows
in the middle of the night no one can see the ravens flight but they hear the voice the noise the sound even the wings they flap they glide silent and they hide
The raven seldom crows when it is in its glide it falls and hides no one can see the feathers as it plummets from the sky it moves in a silent fashion
as the raven glides it hides from the eyes of the men it has a sense of reality and a purpose as it glides it looks neither to the left or to the right finally it is satisfied with its destination in its sight the raven crows one final time and plummets like a stone into the night and suddenly a poem is come to earth as Poe hears his famous bird not the crow the rook or the blackbird as it sings but the Raven as it speaks to only him
Nevermore

She's A Bitch

She's a bitch
I once loved her but now I hate her
I once was sad to think of her dying but now I really dont give a shit
because She's a bitch

I can't believe I actually listened to her bullshit
I can't believe I tried to commit suicide over her ass
Shes a bitch

I don't know what I though about her that was so special
Shes a bitch

She will deceive you
She will make you feel loved
Until shes finished with you
Shes a bitch

She despises love
She hates the sound of it
Because shes a cold hearted bitch
What else would you expect

She seemed so perfect
Until her flaws started showing through
She seemed so loving
Until I found out the truth
Shes a bitch

The ones who seem so perfect
Are the ones that you really need to stay away from

Shes a bitch
Even thou shes a bitch
Shes my bitch
and thats the end of it.

I Keep Hoping

As I gather my thoughts
With the pieces of my heart
Tell me, how long is forever
Im not afraid and I wont be torn apart
Weve had our time together
Now I make my new beginnings
Ill start again at any cost
Ive learned a lot from losing you
But Ive got nothing if Im lost
And I keep hoping
And I still believe in love
If I wait long enough
I know Ill be strong enough
Yeah, I keep hoping
I believe in faith and trust
Im gonna find a way
There are better days still ahead of us
I keep hoping
Now this candle burns low
It wont last through the night
But Ive found peace
And I know its all right
I try to understand
Whats been missing in my life
Between the darkness and the daylight
No Im not expecting miracles
Ive got my doubts like any other one
Ive learned a lot from losing you
But Ive got nothing if Im lost
And I keep hoping
I still believe in love
If I wait long enough
I know Ill be strong enough
And I keep hoping
I believe, I believe in faith and trust
There are better days, better days, around of us now, still ahead of us, aaah
I keep hoping, I keep hoping
I keep hoping
I keep hoping and praying baby, oooh
And I still believe in love
I keep hoping, I keep hoping baby, oooh
Im gonna find a way
I keep hoping, I keep hoping baby
There are better days, ooh, better days
I keep hoping, hoping and praying
And I still believe in love
I keep hoping, I keep hoping
I keep hoping . . .

Crystal Heart

My heart is in your hands,
Paper thin crystal ready to break,
My love when will you awake?
My mind drifts to foreign lands,
Tears burst, washing away the desert sand,

Memories lost and found,
Tears wash away the ground,
Your voice, the only sound,
My heart breaks all around,

Life's dream lost but new life found,
This ship will never run aground,
Lights twinkle on a far shore,
Promises of a life to adore,
Please love, don't shut the door,

Memories lost and found,
Tears wash away the ground,
Your voice, the only sound,
My heart breaks all around,

So when you can hurt no more,
Remember to give me a call,
You know I will remember you evermore,
When I reach the shore it is life I shall adore,
Our memories I will treasure,
Let life be a pleasure.

When It Comes

when it comes
it comes
and i am ready
to go

what place is that
i do not really know

but it is definite
there is no coming back

when will i see you again?
i will never know

you see, i realize
everything has always been

uncertain
what they give us was

exactly the opposite
of what is here with us

everything has always been
an image of what is

and what ought to be
was not what was ever done

you see i am leaving this place
without regret

you see this is not my place
that is not really my house

that is not my garden
and that tree had never been mine

even from the moment
when i planted it as a seed

that flower that i love
i only touch for a while

its petals fall from my fingers
and then what i have is nothing

but a stem and a leaf
and this old ruined self

The Sounds, Within And Without

have you ever listened
to the sounds of
a young boy praying
after his father and mother
have split up

have you heard the sound
a small animal makes when
it's hit by a car?
kinda like the sound a child makes
when it's split open by friendly fire!

have you felt the deep down
sound the young boy makes
when the judge sentences him
to hard time
the sound you cant see on his face

have you heard the sound
of the old man's heart
fighting to hold on
in an empty room
with the curtains pulled

have you ever heard the sound
of the wolf's howl, and
the hawk's scree
buried deep beneath
the layers that cover
your own wildness
are you listening

The days went through far too many faces

the days went through far too many faces
and all the cards dealt in a game of prey
slipped through the hands
like leaves through the boughs
to reach the bottom pit
and a pendulum sound

the houses went through far too many doors
and closed their windowed eyes ushered stricken blue
a twin handful of earth ancestor I found
to reach the bottom pit
and a pendulum sound

the murders took place in the streets of devil
that spoke in a language foreign known to none
detected on a track of an evolution crown
to reach the bottom pit
and the pendulum sound

an we drank our wines not knowing their names
floated in the casks down the poisoned rivers
built ourselves in walls air lost in the ground

Hungry Like The Wolf

(ha ha!)
Dark in the city, night is a wire
Steam in the subway, earth is a fire
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
Woman you want me, give me a sign
And catch my breathing even closer behind
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound, Im lost in a crowd
And Im hungry like the wolf
Straddle the line, in discord and rhyme
Im on the hunt Im after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And Im hungry like the wolf
Stalked in the forest, too close to hide
Ill be upon you by the moonlight side
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
High blood drumming ony our skin its so tight
You feel my heart, Im just a moment behind
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Scent and a sound, Im lost and Im found
And Im hungry like the wolf
Strut on a line, its discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine Im after you
Mouth is alive all running inside
And Im hungry like the wolf
-
(hungry like the wolf
Hungry like the wolf
Hungry like the wolf)
Burning the ground I break from the crowd
Im on the hunt Im after you
I smell like I sound, Im lost and Im found

Song For The Life

(rodney crowell)
Well I dont drink as much as I used to
Lately, it just aint my style
And the hard times dont hurt like they ought to
They pass quicker, like when I was a child
And somehow Ive learned how to listen
For a sound like the sun going down
In the magic the morning is bringing
Theres a song for the life I have found
It keeps my feet on the ground
And the midsummer days sit so heavy
But dont they flow like the breeze through your mind
When nothing appears in a hurry
To make up for someones lost time
And somehow Ive learned how to listen
For a sound like the sun going down
In the magic the morning is bringing
Theres a song for the life I have found
It keeps my feet on the ground
And somehow Ive learned how to listen
For a sound like the breeze dying down
In the magic the morning is bringing
Theres a song for the friend I have found
She keeps my feet on the ground
She keeps my feet on the ground

Forsaken Love

Love once lost is ever lost,
to one who loves with all his heart,
when true love bears the final cost,
and love once found is torn apart.

Love is lost and never found,
to one who never knows it’s worth,
sorrowed tears a hollow sound,
in love there is no last re-birth,

Love is cold and without hope,
when all is lost and lovers part,
hearts when split can never cope,
without love, life must depart.

Learning To Love The Noise And All That Stuff...

at first i hate the noise
of motorcycles passing by the house
the screeching sound of the engine
is bombarding my eardrums
to pieces,

somehow, it is the adaptability gene in me
that survives
whatever the situation is
one must easily learn to accept
lest you
perish from the face of this earth
choking yourself with
disappointments

somewhere, i dream
not of silence but of noise

noise has a role too to play
in the deletion of
whatever noisy memory we have
that keeps
wrecking our
impulsive hearts

and then i learn to love noise and everything
that comes my way
sort of
meet noise with noise instead of silence sort of stuff

learning to be what i am in whatever place i may find myself
for in truth
i can do nothing about it
and so i let it be
but nothing nobody shall never destroy me
instead i must embrace them all

and to defeat all their attempts to put an end
to my struggles

(to be free or whatever...)

i sort of
embrace every strange moment
with all the love
that i can
possible give
