Lying Naked
sunset to nightfall.
undressing slowly,
as years pass like shadows
that cant be grasped.
lying naked in the darkness.
the hypnotic hum of the fan,
the cool breeze lapping at my body.
listening for the sound
of footsteps from long ago.
but only the sound of a car passing,
and a neighbor's dog barking.
lying naked in the darkness
my spirit gets up and walks away,
my body calm as fallen leaves
nightfall to eternity.
a kiss, a dropp of blood.
you and i lived like thunder,
now it's time for the rain!

As Far Away.... (As Near Can Be)
there is a still joy in the night,
every sound, every movement.
when shadows come to life,
and time is forgotten.
and intimacy is restored.
one can almost taste the darkness,
the scent of trees, and grasses,
bathing in moonlight.
the dog barking in the distance,
is as near as only far can be.
somewhere lovers wrap in passioned ardor,
and children sleep in make believe wombs.
and god walks naked beneath windows,
and by locked doors, sprinkling the dust of hope.
while alone i drink in the stillness,
dying with the moths drawn to the lantern.
thinking of rain i smile, and whisper to lightning,
as far away as near can be!

Your Naked Eyes
Naked and Vulnerable,
I lie before you
For you to behold me
With your naked eyes…
Beautiful and Ugly
I lie before you
For you to assess me
With your naked eyes…
Drenched in Love
I lie before you
For you to reciprocate
With your naked eyes…
Doused in Passion
I lie before you
For you to arouse me
With your naked eyes…
The Goddess in Me
Lying before you,
Asking
The God in you
To propitiate her
With his heavenly body
And naked eyes…
As you devour me
And savour me
In the heat and the sweat
Of our spiritual ‘coming’
I transfix my gaze
On your naked eyes…
When you smile back
In opulent ecstasy
I feel so blissful
And so peaceful
In this shameless abandonment
To your naked eyes…

Nude myself again
i came naked with no name in my hand and my head
is ready to a wonderful words you and i can understand,
the many plan, you want me to follow; in the womb
until the tomb, you have given me a chance to love you
and kept all your everlasting command
cloth me to protect the precious gift of life you
connect, hundred and thousand of years the Lord has
prepared, as the angel and the prophet commit, my mind
and body comes to see, that God of heaven and the hell is
ready, for who ever followed in thy heart and soul will have
an eternity
my deep sleep, always tell my naked eye to fly, of where
the sky is high and bright each day as it says good bye;
the naked where i was born, returning naked soul i'll be
home
come home my darling naked body in the bosom spirit
your naked immortal soul will stay........in the judgment
time you will say a beautiful good bye

Be Careful Of Stones That You Throw
Recorded by hank williams, sr.
Written by bonnie dodd
Chorus
A [f] tongue can accuse and carry bad [c] news
The [f] seeds of distrust, it will [c] sow
But [f] unless youve made no mistakes in your [c] life
Be careful of [g7] stones that you [c] throw.
(spoken)
[c] a neighbor was passing my [f] garden one time
[c] she stopped and I knew right away [g7]
That it was gossip, not flowers, she had on her mind [c]
And this is what I heard my neighbor say:
[c] that girl down the street [f] should be run from our midst
[c] she drinks and she talks quite a lot [g7]
She knows not to speak to my child or to me. [c]
My neighbor then smiled and I thought:
Chorus
(spoken)
A car speeded by and the screamin of brakes
A sound that made my blood chill
For my neighbors one child had been pulled from the path
And saved by a girl lying still.
The child was unhurt and my neighbor cried out:
Oh! who was that brave girl so sweet?
I covered the crushed, broken body and said:
The bad girl who lived down the street.
Chorus

Lyin' To Yourself
You tell me lies that you believe
You say its the real thing
I can see how you've deceived
I know what's happening
And seeing is believing 'til you find out that you're blind
You're Lying To Yourself (Lying To Yourself)
You're Lying To Yourself (Lying To Yourself)
Wake up, shake up, turn around
I'll give it to you straight
It's been too long, it's past a joke
Something I can't take
The cost is due, now tell me money ain't the means [to me it sounds like
"meaning"]
You're Lying To Yourself
(Lying To Yourself)
You're Lying To Yourself
(Lying To Yourself)
Lying To Yourself again, you're Lying to Yourself again
Lying To Yourself again, you're Lying To Yourself again
Lying in the morning
I'll kiss you goodbye
You won't regret a part of this
And neither will I
Revealing hearts with a common need play their hands
You're Lying To Yourself
(Lying To Yourself)
You're Lying To Yourself
(Lying To Yourself)

Naked
'my family, my friends, my children, my wife...'
Have you ever tried to strip naked
i mean from body to soul
'my job, my country, my school...'
Have you ever tried to go naked
for the winds to blow and the sun to scotch
'my God, my religion, my pastor/preacher...'
you've got to try being naked
to lay out your thoughts and meet the truth
The world and all it's dwellings could belong
but try going naked for a day
and visit the realms of greatness
This is not madness but sadness
with which i beseech you to strip naked
and find the truth we've all missed
strip naked: put off the cloth of pretense
move out of the darkness of illusion
and come where naked, where the light shines.

Me And The Sea
do not expect me to wear
a G-string when i decide to take my swim
i always go naked.
I like always to feel the sea
all over my body
i plunge myself
and feel the nakedness of the sea
too
it's water all over me
all around me
naked sea to my naked body
you know how it feels
it feels like the way we do it
you are the sea
and i am a body
you are a body
and i am the sea
so simple and yet
what a bliss
naked, deep, blue, watery
wet, slippery, salty,
sweat mixed with the salt of the sea
two naked bodies
feeling
salt, earth, sand, fire

About Last Night.....
i finally went to bed at
1: 30 a.m. and when i undress myself
as i usually do,
when i turned off the light
you turned it on
in a little while you while naked
went up bed
and walked towards the door
opened it and then closed it again
as though darkness
when the lights were turned off again
was a big mouth
eating the whole of your naked body
and then
gone
i wished i were asleep.
but it wasn't
because the following morning
the whole room was as silent as
clothes on the floor
without a body.

In the spirit of Rumi - 42 - How far is far from God?
Why, O dearest to Myself,
do you try to hard to run away from God?
Your body cannot run away from Him,
for He who made your body, runs with you..
Your spirit, your soul, cannot run away from Him,
for He is your very spirit, your very soul..
Only your mind can run away from Him;
and then his brothers, soul and body,
weep for him, wait for his return,
in stillness and in silence - which they know
by nightfall, he will be unable to resist..
Why do you try so hard to run away from God?
When did He ever run away from you?

Every Drop
every dropp is precious
in my mind the trickle lingers
darkness in suspension
nothing bluish
plain cool breeze on my cheek
i walk
the directions are useless now
that i have found the joy
in your bosom
every dropp counts to form this
sweet syrup all dripping from the
kindness of your being
darkness too lovely to sip
the hours pass and
we are watching with all
content we are all alone
and quiet

Cast The Spirit
Written by russ ballard, 1983
Found on your move, ventura highway and other favorites, and the very best of america.
When you feel down and youve nobody to turn to
When you feel youre about to give up
The sun goes down and darkness surrounds you
And its runnin dry in your lovin cup
Cast the spirit, cast it out
If its in your body, then let it out
Put out the fire, let it cool down
If its in your tears, then let it drown
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
You cant ignore the feeling inside you
In your mind youre without a friend
The spirit is there, its in every doorway
You say to yourself, will it ever end
Cast the spirit, cast it out
If its in your body, then let it out
Put out the fire, let it cool down
If its in your tears, then let it drown
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
When you feel down and have nobody to turn to
You say to yourself, why cant it be
The sun goes down and darkness surrounds you
You feel you want to be free
Cast the spirit, cast it out
If its in your body, then let it out
Put out the fire, let it cool down
If its in your tears, then let it drown
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo
Cast the spirit
Cast the spirit
Cast the spirit ...

Love Song To The Coming Morning
I'm like night in the sunset
Feeling red clouds in the sky
Wind in the trees full of breeze
Swirling up leaves so they fly
Meadows and hills shades in blue
Flowers in silver and gold
Darkness comes so untrue
Fairies in the moonlight hard to hold
Magical moments in twilight
Breaking off silences with a song
Leaving the day coming to night
Shadows are still though young
I'm like night in the sunset
Touching the moments that go
Into umbrage of absurdities
That lived in the day a while ago
Lilies and fields are in darkness
Moon is behind a blue cloud
Day shall wake up in dawn fresh
When dusky shadows are disallowed

Epiphanic
the ordinariness of things sometimes
like leaves and wind and grass
leaves falling
wind whispering
and grass covering
and footsteps
a ball playing with
the dog
a baby on a crib
mother's lullaby
rain coming with
a warning
roof that stands
aloof
your silence beside
a cup of coffee
and my gaze beyond
the window
the sunset fading
into total darkness
and the moon
sailing by
passing at us
slowly soundlessly
epiphenomena...
God is still here
on epiphany We watch
We are being watched.

Pool Shark
Lying in my plastic bed,
Thinking how thinking how things wern't so cool me.
My baby likes to shoot pool,
I like lying naked in my bedroom, tying off that dinosaur tonight,
It used to be so cool.
Now i got that niedle, i can bleed, but i can't breathe.
Take it away, but i want more and more.
One day i'm gonna loose the war.

Voices Of Infinity
i dance with animals in the night,
run naked with trees,
and drink strong moonlight.
i sing with the rocks,
and crow with the dawn....
i beat the drum primeval!
i rush with the waves
to strip the shores,
of all vestiges of passing.
i howl with the wind,
i dance with shadows and sounds,
and lay naked on the cool earth.
i am the ache inside the shell,
the hand that sprinkles dust...
come walk with me,
let us taste the very darkness,
let us call for the light
with the voices of infinity!

A True Companion!
we collide,
rogue stars travelling darkness,
upper lip and bottom lip,
the knife and the flesh.
searching, forever searching,
for the sound inside raindrops,
and the way stone tastes,
where no one has walked.
fire and log, or log and fire,
we care not...
drinking the paint off the walls,
releasing storm, scattering dust.
sound and echo, or echo and sound...
we lay naked on the steps,
of journey and fire!
if just for a moment,
lived before, perhaps again...
we find a true companion
who asks nothing more than time!

How Pitiful Could It Any Be?
Strange fingers
drew over the dirt of my body
little angels,
some breath wondered
across my chests
silently,
I felt the sky raining under my soul.
How pitiful could it any be?
Flexed spirit underneath eyelashes
trembled with the sound of breaks,
suddenly silence started its dance
within the dropp of dew -
what is this place?
Hows its name?
Strange fingers, digged underneath my skin
little peace of dazzling flame,
sound of spit began the time of
darkness.
how pitiful could it any be?
Her Shadows Dance
Her shadows dance in crimson light,
When in the bedroom moving naked,
Moonlight adores her body shapes,
Reflecting her beauty in the darkness.

Reflections Of Fire # 2
waiting for the snow
the cleansing frozen stillness
where spirits inhabit fossils
and the earth spins
naked and complete
in each turn.
this old body's worn out!
the turtle leaves its shell,
grows wings, flies into darkness.
lying again at the Mother's breasts,
watching her touch the wind
and create forms!
snow, tiny flakes
falling, defying gravity,
clinging to the windowpane
each a tiny lifetime
melting without a whimper,
melting into the light!
