No Leaf Clover
And it feels right this time
On this crash course were in the big time
Pay no mind to the distant thunder
Beauty fills his head with wonder, boy....
Says it feels right this time
Turn around, found new high lights
Good day to be alive sir
Good day to be alive, he said.....
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just the freight train coming your way
Dont it feel right like this
All the pieces fall to his wish
Suck up for that quick reward boy
Suck up for that quick reward they said.....
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just the freight train coming your way......
Its coming your way
Its coming your way......
Here comes
Yeah, then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way.... yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah...
Then it comes to be, yeah

My only way out is towards the light of death
My only way out is
towards the light of death.
I'll see the light and no it's time to let go.
And leave this world behind me.
I no its time to go
Either towards the train
Or towars a bottle of pills and a razor
Or mabey towards the bridge.
But its time for me to go.
My only way is towards the light
I wonder where I'll find it
Is there really a light.
Some say its at the end of the tunnel.
I'll find out soon.
I found the light
It was there all around me
At the end of the tunnel
When I went away.
My way out was the light
Beckoning me back home
The light has carried me home
And out of this world.

The Light
(kieran kane/emmylou harris)
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
In the lonely heart of darkness
I have stumbled and I have strayed
Always searchin but never finding
A ray of sunlight to guide my way
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
I have travelled down this highway
Of hope abandoned and broken dreams
An unbeliever my faith was shaken
By all the sorrow I had seen
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
And the light, darlin is you

I was born for your magazines
For your magazines
I am trapped in the society page
Of your magazines
Of your magazines
I don't know what it means
Do you see light at the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?
Do you see light at the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?

As I Am...Was.
No, I don't. I could never think that.
No, I won't. I could never become that.
No, I will never be...like her...Be her..
But..
I became her and now I
And I write these through her beautiful dead eyes
She..
I..
Am a bad girl who often does good
I am a dark heart which sometimes pores light
I'm alone in a sea of blank faces
In a world of hollow graces
Loneliness walks with me all my crooked mornings
He's dumb but his lonely eyes ask me how I feel
'Lonely', I replied
No one to talk to, or who really breathes love into my heart
My heart...
Once loving, once caring, trod broken
Now dead. I'm numb..dumb, and the Crumbs you crushed over to reach your true love...
...which is never me...
Dear life, why bore me? ...inexistence is perfection
My growth left me promises
My dreams made an eagle crawl
The accidents broke my bones
The solitude broke my mind
Their words broke my spirit
As I am...I fear bringing a child into...here
I've fought life for a good life
I walk heads bowed with shame
In fear that the world's mirror reveals my sins
Well I just heard the news today
It says my life is gonna change, yay!
Today it rains heavily as it pours in May
I've forgotten if rain is good or sunshine better
July or when September ends
They all leave with their leaves
Scattered on my shattered life
Sunshine or rain, the pain remains the way
Pin drops, heart breaks, blood splashes
On a cracking ground
My heart beats no more
Stone cold, thread hold
Love walks, eyes cry, life goes on
Bad lucks, rude shocks
Went deaf, blind and dumb...faith
The tunnel flickered a light
Yay! , the end of my tunnel
He told me there's a light at the end of every tunnel
This was her...my light faith, my end trail
Yea, the train, her date with fate
The light, hope at the end of the tunnel
Wasn't light, was...but speeding of a blind train
Breaking the body of a dead soul and broken spirit
Deaf, blind and dumb...faith
Darkness, darkness, train, dead, fate.
Goodbye loneliness, goodbye world.
No I don't. I could never think that.
No, I won't. I could never become that.
No, I will never be...like her...Be her.

It was like I was in a tunnel. Not only the tunnel under the hotel but the whole circuit was a tunnel. I was just going and going, more and more and more and more. I was way over the limit but still able to find even more.

Mind the Gap
For years she took the morning train
from Auburndale to Penn.
Now the economy had turned cold
And her long run neared its end.
You need to get there early-
Parking's at a premium.
That meant for years she‘d risen
on the wrong side of 4 A.M.
For several years she'd lived
in the town house all alone-.
First separation, then divorce
once the children were full grown.
She'd poured herself into the job
with commendable devotion.
She'd brought much business to the firm
She deserved a big promotion.
The boss she had was hated.
“Barely competent” thought she
But his Uncle was Division head
-That's job security.
Now asked to go clean out her desk,
Her eyes welled up with shame.
Wouldn't it be simpler if she
jumped beneath the train
She saw the fiercely blinding lights
Of the oncoming train
She stepped and didn't mind the gap
Her decision had been made.
A rush of pain, then-nothing
No hint of light or sound
She never heard the ambulance-
The sirens crossing town
The folks who took the morning train
Would be quite late that day
Some old lady slipped and fell
And there was hell to pay.

From A Moving Train
Written by gerry beckley, 1998
Found on human nature.
Ive seen the ides of march
And Ive seen the fall of rome
Ive seen all kinds of stuff
But I never see my home
If my life-line is
These million miles of track
One thing I know by now
There is no turning back
From a moving train
From a moving train
From a moving train
From a moving train
If every venture was
A path to no avail
Id still be rolling down
This never ending trail
If we had a destination
In our sights
We would be helpless as
We passed it in the night
From a moving train (hear the engine running)
From a moving train (you can get on board)
From a moving train (hear the motor humming)
From a moving train (see, youve gotta see the light)
And if by chance you find a woman
That you might love along the way
You better hold her tight
Tell her everythings alright
Or she might jump along the way
From a moving train (hear the engine running)
From a moving train (you can get on board)
From a moving train (hear the motor humming)
From a moving train (see, youve gotta see the light)
From a moving train (hear the engine running)
From a moving train (you can get on board)
From a moving train (hear the motor humming)
From a moving train (see, youve gotta see the light)

Tunnel Of Love
Well if youre lookin for the best, then baby be my guest
Im right before your eyes and Im tellin you no lies
You wanted my disease, youll have to do as I please
Youll jump off the roof if I say, I wont let you get away
It must have been the devil in me, I dont know what else it could be
Chorus:
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love, let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love, Ive got to visit your tunnel of love
Youre just a victimless crime, it happens all the time, yeah
Youll have an overstay, and your bill is my pay
You are the lock, I am the key, you know what you do to me
Chorus
You are the lock, I am the key, you know what you do to me
Chorus repeats out

Where Babies Come From
For my eighth birthday
I got a toy train set
my father helped assemble.
My job was to hand him
pieces of track and re-light
the cigarettes that went out
in his mouth. Halfway
through, I asked him
where babies come from.
He told me that eight years
ago today I showed up
on the front stoop
in a cardboard box, how
he spent the whole afternoon
putting me together,
just like this train set,
that I was probably lucky
the box arrived on a Saturday.

Between Heaven And Earth
between heaven and earth
there charlie lives
and he writes about a tunnel
a very creepy tunnel
where the only way to travel
is to crawl your way to the
exit where are the end
a light appears....
enlightenment and awareness
that is what charlie means.
