Some—Work for Immortality

Some—Work for Immortality—
The Chiefer part, for Time—
He—Compensates—immediately—
The former—Checks—on Fame—
Slow Gold—but Everlasting—
The Bullion of Today—
Contrasted with the Currency
Of Immortality—
A Beggar—Here and There—
Is gifted to discern
Beyond the Broker's insight—
One's—Money—One's—the Mine—

Poems On Life
Life is given to us,
we earn it by giving it.
Let the dead have the immortality of fame,
but the living the immortality of love.
Life's errors cry for the merciful beauty
that can modulate their isolation into a
harmony with the whole.
Life, like a child, laughs,
shaking its rattle of death as it runs.

The Truth In Thomas Gray
Long years ago I had this dream of fame
That mine would live on as remembered name
That people would remember me and say
A legend once a legend still today.
But I think quite different now than I thought then
That I'd know fame and outlive other men
And now I know it matters none at all
Before we walk we have to learn to crawl.
And who could disagree with Thomas Gray
His elegy alive and well today
'Those paths of glory still lead to the grave'
And man to immortality still a slave.
It matters little to you when you die
Your fame that lives on you cannot enjoy
So enjoy life why worry about fame
And treat all people equal all the same.
Longfellow wrote 'It is not always May'
And the fairest rose in garden yesterday
Today it's petals scattered on the ground
And other roses blooming all around.
In my younger years just west of Millstreet Town
I yearned for fame and riches and renown
But now I see the truth in Thomas Gray
And I look at life in quite a different way.

Birth of death
Birth of death
(Stream of consciousness poetry)
This is a well thinking thought
How to control
A robot
Before inventing,
How do you cherish
The success of poetry
Before composing,
This is a well thinking thought
Of the immortality
To give the meaning
The state of being
As the creator
Can not create
The enemy of
Immortality,
Which He Himself is,
Death
Is the success
Of the game plan
Before the game
Was invented
But loophole lies
The immortality
Does not have life.
What's the pleasure
Of being an entity
Of immortality
Without taste
Of life and death!
(He Himself knows)

In My Dream, light plays!
Night is the time,
Sleeping in infinite nothing,
becoming nothing in beloved
embrace,
forgetting everything! In the lap of beloved enjoy
dreams,
may some come true,
Some may not,
Observing dreams one sees the
light within,
Randomly light plays in my dream
At the dawn, with gentle breeze,
Dreams melt, innerlight into light
of world,
Never go back to sleep,
If you sleep at dawn,
What will be there at dusk? If dustfree dawn make you sleep,
Failing to Smile and work,
If can't feel lighter in the light of
dawn,
Sure the darkness covering light,
Will make you faint at dusk!
Seeds says seed of immortality
is packed in mortal seed coat!
DNA sings, its immortality
covered in mortality of seed,
Finally Life sings,
Immortality of life is packed in mortal DNA,
and Self whispers, my
immortality is sung by mortal
life!

If Not
One cannot love
If not with entirety-
Its conception desperate
and nurtured by divine.
One cannot love
if not with haunting reverence -
Its fever fueled by prohecy,
an exquisite crimson flush.
One cannot love
If not with sure conviction -
its temperament unwavering,
Unseasoned by hypocrisy.
One cannot love
If not with immortality -
Its currency of old,
But never less, a paragon of gold.

The Village Atheist
Ye young debaters over the doctrine
Of the soul's immortality
I who lie here was the village atheist,
Talkative, contentious, versed in the arguments
Of the infidels.
But through a long sickness
Coughing myself to death
I read the Upanishads and the poetry of Jesus.
And they lighted a torch of hope and intuition
And desire which the Shadow,
Leading me swiftly through the caverns of darkness,
Could not extinguish.
Listen to me, ye who live in the senses
And think through the senses only:
Immortality is not a gift,
Immortality is an achievement;
And only those who strive mightily
Shall possess it.

Overdraft In Overdrive
I got a letter this morning
My overdrafts in overdrive
They wanna know what Im gonna do about it
How Im proposing to survive
Stay alive stay alive oooh
They want the money
So I work and work and work ......
Theyre making me roast
The cheques in the post
You neednt worry worry worry....
You hit the roof when Im on the floor
Did I ever let you down before
I got a letter from my broker
He say he broker than me
My silver mine has tarnished over
Im on the road to tragedy
Help me, help me, oooooh
I need the money
So I work and work and work.....
Im deeper in debt, Im covered in sweat
You make me worry, worry, worry....
This nightmares giving me the shakes
Hope I wake and find its all a mistake
I started with nothing, and worked my way down
I know the things that I do, they mystify you
Its a strange way of living
But I like playing with fire
Im always walking the wire
And when the tightrope snaps
Youll see my world collapse
I got a letter this morning
Must be my lucky day
Seems Ive inherited a fortune
Rich uncle sam passed away, away, away, ooooh
Im in the money
No more work and work and work.....
My bankers aghast, Im dripping with cash
No need to worry, worry, worry.....
You need an angel to survive
An overdraft in overdrive

Fame
As recorded by david bowie
Fame, makes a man take things over.
Fame, let's him lose, hard to swallow.
Fame, puts you there where things are hollow.
Fame.
Fame,
It's not your brain, it's just a flame,
That burns your change to keep you insane.
Fame.
Fame, what you like is in the limo.
Fame, what you get is no tomorrow.
Fame, what you need you have to borrow.
Fame.
Fame,
Now it's mine, it's just his line
To bind your time it drives you to crime.
Fame.
Is it any wonder
I reject you first?
Fame, fame, fame, fame.
Is it any wonder
You are too cool to fool?
Fame.
Fame,
Bully for you,
Chilly for me,
Got to get a raincheck on pain.
Fame.
Fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame,
Fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame,
Fame, fame, fame, - fame.

You Have The Soul Into Your Words
you may have the soul
into your words
you may have the oil
and the canvass and the
shapes and forms
to immortalize
what have you
something
for posterity for your immortality
but what use
is posterity
what use is this immortality?

The Giant’s Ring
BALLYLESSON, NEAR BELFAST
Whoever is able will pursue the plainly
False immortality of not having lived in vain but leaving some
mark in the world.
Secretly mocking at his own insanity
He labors the same, he knows that no dead man's lip was ever
curled in self-scorn,
And immortality is for the dead.
Jesus and Caesar out of the bricks of man's weakness, Washington
out of the brittle
Bones of man's strength built their memorials,
This nameless chief of a knot of forgotten tribes in the Irish darkness
used faithfuller
Simpler materials: to diadem a hilltop
That sees the long loughs and the Mourne Mountains, with a ring
of enormous embankment, and to build
In the center that great toad of a dolmen
Piled up of ponderous basalt that sheds the centuries like raindrops.
He drove the labor,
And has earmarked already some four millenniums.
His very presence is here, thick-bodied and brutish, a brutal and
senseless will-power.
Immortality? While Homer and Shakespeare are names,
Not of men but verses, and the elder has not lived nor the
younger will not, such treadings of time.
Conclude that secular like Christian immortality's
Too cheap a bargain: the name, the work or the soul: glass beads
are the trade for savages.

It is a New Day
Today is a new day
today is a new life
today, yes today is a special day
it never has occurred before
the sun light cast on today is ancient
the words I will speak will be for the first time, today
The air I breath is new today
the aches are new as well
the feelings are new today
my cats meow is new today
todays lunch I have is new
the thoughts I think are new today
the life I live today is new
indeed today is a new day

What Is Pain?
Pain
An everlasting blood stain.
Hope
What you loose as you begin to mope.
Love
What betrays you as you bein to assend to above.
Death
What you gain as you in in depth.
Sorrow
An endless feeling as you pass from today to tomorrow.
Joy
What you leave behind as you become times toy.
Eternity
What everything leads to.
Immortality
A figure of your imagination.

This Car Of Mine
This car of mine
A-win I got (bought) her now she wasnt new
Old and broke down
This car of mine
Theres been a lot of races we been through
No slow poke now
I never want to part with her you see
This little car means a heck of a lot to me
(this car of mine, oooooo)
I remember the day
A-when I chose her over all those old broken junkers
Thought I could tell
Underneath a coat of rust she was gold
No clunker
Just couldnt wait to take her home with me
And fix her up just as new as she could be
(this car of mine, this car of mine, this car of mine, this car of mine,
Oooooo)
Aint no amount of gold any mine
Would be enough to take away this car of mine
(this car of mine, dit til lee hup hup)
This car of mine
(dit til lee hup hup dit til lee hup hup)
Oh his car of mine
(dit til lee hup hup dit til lee hup hup)
Shes so so fine now
(dit til lee hup hup dit til lee hup hup)
This car, this car so fine now
(dit til lee hup hup dit til lee hup hup)
Mmm shes so fine...
