An uncle of mine emigrated to Canada and couldn't take his guitar with him. When I found it in the attic, I'd found a friend for life.

My Angel
I found a friend
Who always knows something's wrong before I do
I found a friend
Who has listened to everything I say
I found a friend
Who is beautiful and doesn't know it
I found a friend
Who is kind, and caring, and funny
I found a friend
Who loves me for being me
I found a friend
Who tries to understand me
I found a friend
Who loves to give me compliments
I found a friend
Who keeps the guys from annoying me
I found a friend
Who loves being around me even though people talk
I found a friend
Who is kind, and mature, and amazing
These two friends
I'm lucky to have
These two friends
I will always have
These two friends
Help me in different ways
These two friends were sent to me from above...

Sonnet: We Need God's Help
I tried to climb life's hill, all on my own;
I found I could not make it to the top;
I tried to walk and run life's road alone;
I found I couldn't do it for long but hop!
I tried to steer the ship of Life to sea;
I found I could not brave the stormy waves;
I tried to venture in life's lands, singly;
I found I could not make it to the caves.
I tried to climb the tree of life solely;
I found that I couldn't make it to its crown;
I tried to ascend life's ladder, freely;
I found it rather tall and soon slipped down!
And then, I remembered my God and tried;
All things seemed easy and with joy I cried!

I Found Lovin'
[Verse 1:]
I search for love before
For a love that I thought I couldn't find
I searched in and day out
For a love that was mine all mine
[Hook:]
I've played around with love before
I was silly and you know that I played the fool
But then you came and took my life and you changed it
Cause I know what I want and where it's at Yeah
[Chorus:]
I found lovin'
Since I found you
I'm in love with you
I found lovin'
Since I found you
I'm in love with you
I found lovin'
[Verse 2:]
My sun rises on your face
When I see that certain glow
But picture this it's so right
You're my delight
And that's why I love you so
[Hook:]
I've played around with love before
I was silly and you know that I played the fool
But then you came and took my life and you changed it
Cause I know what I want and where it's at, with you
[Chorus:]
I found lovin' (Somebody to treat me right)
Since I found you
I'm in love with you babe
I found lovin'
Since I found you
I'm in love with with you
I found lovin'
Yeah, ooh yeah, I found love baby, uh huh, somebody to treat me right, oh yeah, I found
some love, promise to be true to ya baby, oh yeah, I found somebody, I ofund it all in you,

Wow What A Friend I Have Found
i travel around the world
looking for a true and faithful friend
but unfortunately for me i found none
i travel from country to country looking
for a trusting friend but found no such friend
i decided to visit all 196 countries in this
world and see if i can find a true friend
but it seems all the friends i found either
leave me with broken heart or make fun of me
i decided to be on my own
until you came along
wow what a great friend i have found!
This friend i have found won't make fun
of me neither live me with broken heart
wow this is the greatest moment of my life
i have found a true, faithful and trusting friend!
i have found the greatest friend ever
what a great friend i have found!

Little Friend
Manhunt to find your daughter
Buried underneath the water
Now they consult a psychic
Find how much I like it
And now I've found a little friend
It's too fast
This won't last
And to touch
Hurts too much
And now I've found a little friend
And now it's just you and me
Borrow one and we will make three
I say we steal one more
Just like we did once before
And now I thought I told her
That she won't get much older
And now I've found a little friend
And now it makes no difference
Cause I am not quite in yet
And now its on the table
Cause she's perfectly able
And now I've found a little friend

In The Love Garden
In the garden where Love
Could be found
I found a beautiful Princess
Whose Love I share.
Inside the garden where Roses
Could be found
I found a mighty Angel
Whose Love is mine
Within the garden where Love
Could be found
I found a white Flower
Whose beauty is that of a bride
Between the garden where Love
Could be found
I found a mighty princess Diana
Whose heart I share
Underneath the garden where Love
Could be found
I found a charming Diamond
Whose charm is that of my Love
And
Outside the garden where Love
Could be found
I found me a Lover
Whose heart is mine!
And
Inside the garden where Love
Could be found
I found me a pen
And write this lovely ballad for my babe!

And So Found Dawn
it was in doubt
that i found faith.
it was in forgiveness
that i found forgiveness.
it was in loss
that i found passion.
it was in suffering
that i found understanding.
it was in letting go
that i found freedom.
it was in the mirror
that i found prayer.
it was in darkness
that i found light.
it was in jail
that i found dignity.
it was in addiction
that i found determination.
it was in giving
that i found love.
it was in fighting
that i found reason.
it was in reason
that i found dissatifaction.
it was in questioning
that i found truth.
it was in truth
that i found the need for silence.
it was in silence
that i found kindness.
it was in working
that i found respect.
it was in respect
that i found acceptance.
it was in living
that i found god.
it was in god
that i found the need to touch.
it was in caring.
that i got dirty...
and so found dawn...

This Ol' Guitar
This ol' guitar
has been my best friend
through thick and thin
It has held all my thoughts
spoken them through melody
words whispered from my heart
And at times
this ol' guitar
has even held tears at bay
Stopped my world from falling apart
it even has kept
this ol' heart from breaking in two
Yes, this ol' guitar
has served these aging hands
of mine so well
This ol' guitar
it has created music
that screamed out to be heard
This ol' guitar
has been my best friend
through thick and thin....

Crush On You
You found out
Kick it
You found out i've got a crush on you
You must have heard it from my best friend
She's always talking when she should be listening
Can't keep a secret to save her life
But still I trusted her with all I had inside
I never knew a rumour could spread so fast
But now the word is out all over town
That i'm longing for you
How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you
Maybe I was the one who left a trace
Was there a message written on my face
Were my emotions so easily read
That you could know my thoughts before a word was said
Was it my eyes that let you know I had control
Because the way you moved was so self-assured
You knew I would surrender
How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you
Kick it
One time
Get it up
Get down
How did you know cos I never told
You found out
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out
How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you
You found out i've got a crush on you
You found out i've got a crush on you

Bottle Let Me Down
(Merle Haggard)
Each night I leave the barroom when it's over
Not feeling any pain at closing time
But tonight you memory found me much to sober
Couldn't drink enough to keep you off my mind
Tonight the bottle let down
and let you memory come around
The one true friend I thought I'd found
Tonight the bottle let down
I've always had a bottle I could turn to
And lately I've been turning everyday
But the wind don't take effect the way it used to
And I'm hurting in an old familiar way
Tonight the bottle let down
and let you memory come around
The one true friend I thought I'd found
Tonight the bottle let down

Safe In Mind (Chris Gross Remix)
Don't you go to turn around
i know the moon hands tied us
Can you find where hides the love
Breathing down your neck...
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
Someone's found a way
I see the moon, the moon sees
All that i do is twist in the unreal
Someone's found a way
To break into my mind
Someone's found a way
To break into my mind
Someone's found a way
To break into my mind
Someone's found a way
To break into my mind
(Someone's found a way...)
....To break into my mind....
Aaaahhh...
Aaaahhhh...
live's a gun that's always pointing
live's a gun that's pointing in my face
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
Aaaahhh...
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
Aaaahhhh...
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
(Someone's found a way...)
Aaaahhh...
Someone's found a way...
Someone's found a way...
Aaaahhh...
Someone's found a way...
Someone's found a way...
(To break into my mind...)
(To break into my mind...)
I like...

Lost & Found
I always used to be afraid
That I was going to lose my way
I never used to walk in line but stray
I never thought I'd see it through
That I could deal with losing you
But suddenly I see the light of day
Leading me in
From out of the night
Staying on course - I'm still alive
I had to confess I never thought I would ever survive
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found
Focused on my altered state
I would just disorientate
Suffering alone amongst the crowd
Drifting on a sea of doubt
And no one ever heard me shout
That I was lost and couldn't find my way
No one at hand
Having no plan
Stumbled through a barren land
After so long
Of going wrong
I found the road
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found
I was lost and found
I had hit the ground
I was lost but now I found
That I don't need no one
To survive
You've got to believe alone
You'll rise
Starting to run
Shedding the load
Now I can see I'm close to home
After so long
Of going wrong
I found the road
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found

I Think I Found Myself
(eric carmen)
Its been a long time comin
But I think Ive got it figured out
Sometimes the easiest things are still
The hardest ones to learn about
Well I was strugglin so hard for my freedom
And it was there all the time
But I just couldnt see it
I think I found myself
I think I found what Im lookin for
I think I found myself
(dont you know)
I think I found what Im lookin for
Well I got sidetracked somewhere
Though I really cant recall just when
I lost my inspiration
And I couldnt get it back again
(no)
I trusted everyone else so completely
Well I was deaf, dumb and blind
But Ill be damned if Ill let em defeat me
I think I found myself
(dont you know)
I think I found what Im lookin for
I think I found myself
(dont you know)
I think I found what Im lookin for
Im tired of tricks and politics
And futures burning bright
Im on the line and out of time
For once in my life
Im gonna do what I think is right
I think I found myself
(dont you know)
I think I found what Im lookin for
I think I found myself
I think I found what Im lookin for

The Frog And The Swan
The swan had flown away,
Far away to the west,
Far away from the east,
Found a place to stay,
With another young swan,
To fill the heart,
Which had always been in dismay.
Forgotten about the frog,
The one who was once a friend,
The shoulder to cry on,
The ear to shout on,
But now it’s all gone.
The swan found a new home,
A home in a special place,
A place way further away from the frog.
And now the frog's down,
All down.
Couldn't croak,
Couldn't hunt down flies,
Couldn't leap.
Only sit down quietly on a special rock,
Where memories they come,
From all corners.
Caught the frog in a dream.
The frog turned dumb,
Mouth was sealed,
Eyes dropped dead,
Because a lot of things were better left unsaid.

This Guitar (Can't Keep From Crying)
(one, two, three, four)
Found myself out on a limb
But Im happier than Ive ever been
But this guitar cant keep from crying
Learned to get up when I fall
Can even climb rolling stone walls
But this guitar cant keep from crying
This here guitar can feel quite sad
Can be high strung, sometimes get mad
Cant understand or deal with hate
Responds much better to love
I though by now you knew the score
But you missed the point just like before
And this guitar cant keep from crying
(this) guitar, it cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This here guitar can feel quite sad
Can be high strung, sometimes get mad
It cant understand or deal with hate
Responds much better to love
While you attack, create offence
Ill put it down to your ignorance
But this guitar it cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying

The Real Answer
The answer lies deeper
Than the cut of the blade
Your answer is found
in the heart of the brave
That courage is found
In the will to forgive
Courage is found
In the art of your gift
search deep enough
And you will find
Something not worthy
Of leaving behind
Because you, my friend
Should not be afraid
Because you, my friend
are one of the brave
Your life may be surrounded
By purple skies
But you can find the will
To not run and hide
This life you have
must be embraced
Do not run
Stand off face to face
Again and again
Just continue to try
And i promise one day
You'll get your chance to fly
