Moving Pictures
Life is only a moving picture
Nothing in life is a permanent fixture
Oh no oh oh no
Black girls, white girls oh what a mixture
Looking as pretty as a picture
Oh no oh oh no
We live, we die no one knows why
We come, we go we see the show
And its always moving, always moving
Life is only a moving picture
Oh, life can sometimes not be very nice
But then you make your choice so you must pay the price
You take the good and bad cos lifes all work and play
And it soon fades away
Oh no oh oh no
Life is only what you make out
So make the verses rhyme and all the pieces fit
There isnt any time to make much sense of it
It soon fades away
Oh no oh oh no
Life is only a moving picture
Nothing in life is a permanent fixture
Oh no oh oh no
We live, we die no one knows why
We come, we go we see the show
And its always moving, always moving
Look at all those moving pictures
Nothing in life is a permanent fixture
Oh no oh oh no
Its only moving, only moving, only moving pictures

I'm Moving On
Baby, I have felt so torn
I felt like I wasn't myself anymore
I wish we were together day after day
I try everything to make you my boyfriend
You are avoiding me
I understand why
You have the right too
I tore you so much
I realized at that moment
I'm moving on
I thought I knew you, but
This person I never expect you to be
I'm deleting all your pictures
I'm burning up all your stuff
I'm getting you out my head and heart
I'm getting on with my life
Once I saw your pictures again
I finally decide its best for me to find someone else
I just need to leave you alone and see where I go from here
I give all my strength for you
I just felt weak when it came to you
I want this feeling to stop
I'm moving on
To be me again
To be happy again
To be live my life again
To be free from you
I'm moving on

Inaudible Melodies
Brushfire fairytales
Itsy bitsy diamond wells
Big fat hurricanes
Yellow bellied given names
Well shortcuts can slow you down
And in the end we're bound
To rebound off of we
Well dust off your thinking caps
Solar powered plastic plants
Pretty pictures of things we ate
We are only what we hate
But in the long run we have found
Silent films are full of sound
Inaudibly free
Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that
Inaudible melodies
Serve narrational strategies
Unobtrusive tones
Help to notice nothing but the zone
Of visual relevancy
Frame-lines tell me what to see
Chopping like an axe
Or maybe Eisenstein should just relax
Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that
Well Plato's cave is full of freaks
Demanding refunds for the things they've seen
I wish they could believe
In all the things that never made the screen
And just slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that
Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that
Moving Too....

Technicolour Dreams
(b gibb)
Now, Ive been accused of going hollywood
Chasing some cinematic schemes
But Ill give you panavision pictures
If you give me technicolour dreams
I never thought in terms of growing old
Nothing is ever as it seems
But Ill give you panavision pictures
cause you give me technicolour dreams
Up there, walking on air
Id like to show you how
I loved you way back then
As much as I need you now
Some people like to send the world away
Some sunlight on some silver beams
And Ill give you panavision pictures
cause you give me technicolour dreams
Oh wow, look at us now
All of our dreams fulfill
I would implore you still
From under your windowsill
Sometimes, Id like to send the world away
Some sunlight on some silver beams
So Ill give you panavision pictures
cause you give me technicolour dreams
Technicolour dreams
Ill give you panavision pictures
cause you give me technicolour dreams
Go far, follow your star
Ill help you climb that hill
I would adore you still
From under your windowsill
Sometimes, Id like to send the world away
Some sunlight on some silver beams
So Ill give you panavision pictures
cause you give me technicolour dreams

Pictures Of You
Pictures of you
Its just pictures of you, through the bedroom door
With that sly little grin, says you want it some more
But theres people around, and they dont look so nice
Tell me why dont they move, this has happened before
This has happened before
Its just pictures of you
In darkness
Pictures of you
Id been sleeping for hours,
When you came to my house
Youd been lost in a crowd, said you had to get out
You were covered with tears and you said you were sad
So you wanted to play
Yes, you wanted to play
Well you touched me and smiled, as you let yourself go
Oh, but something was wrong, cause your touch was so cold
Like youd been in the ground and you asked if you could
Stay
And I said no!
Its just pictures of you
In darkness
(pictures of you)
In that lovely white dress, oh your skin was so white
With the moon in your eyes, on that cold winter night
When your lips were so soft, that I though they would
Melt,
And the sound of your breath and the way that you felt
And I said yes
And I said yes
Its just pictures of you with a knife in your hand
With a rose in your teeth lying nude in the sand
Its just pictures of you, standing high on a cliff
With the wind in your hair, and a smile on your lips
And your eyes were so wild, when you started to laugh
Blending in with the wind, sounded just like a scream
Why do pictures of you
Come to me when I dream
In darkness
Pictures of you
Pictures of you
Pictures of you

Fountain Of Filth
There it was
Just like old faithful
The eternal fountain of filthi
I took a walk straight out of town
But then I stopped and took my time for pleasure
I was alone, I looked around
I heard a voice 50 I buckled for safety
And there it was down on the ground
A pool of sound that showed my own reflection
In a fountain of filth
Eternal fountain of filth
I tried to run I couldnt move
Frozen solid while the thoughts of men
Attacked me
Out of my head the fountain shot
And drowned me in a serum that I couldnt
Put a stop to
It was me myself and I locked in a struggle
With the talking head below me
In a fountain of filth
Eternal fountain of filth
I got a hunger that makes me say things
I got a hunger that makes me do things
I got a hunger that makes me want things
Im just a victim of filth
Nowhere are we safe
From the power of
From the reach of
From the appeal of
The eternal fountain of filth

Im A Shy Guy
(nathaniel cole)
Im just a shy guy,
My, Im a fraid-to-try guy
No lie.
Theres a gal that I idolize
But I just cant seem to hypnotize.
And when she pets me,
You betcha, it gets me.
And everytime I hold her hand,
Im just too shy to say the things I plan.
Everytime shes close to me,
My heart is filled with ecstasy,
And like a dope, I let the chance slip by.
There, I should have told her then
But all I did was sit and grin,
And I ended up so mad that I could cry.
cause Im a shy guy
Wish I was a sly guy
Then I could say, baby, baby, I love you
Just like those guys in moving pictures all do.
~interlude~
Im just a shy guy
Wish I was a sly guy
Then I could say, baby, baby, I love you
Just like those guys in moving pictures all do.

Under Ice
Its wonderful.
Everywhere, so white.
The river has frozen over.
Not a soul on the ice.
Only me skating fast.
Im speeding past trees,
Leaving little lines in the ice,
Splitting, splitting sound,
Silver heels spitting, spitting snow.
(sonar says...[inaudible]...deep...[inaudible])
Theres something moving
Under, under the ice,
Moving under ice,
Through water,
Trying to get out of the cold water.
Its me.
Something, someone--help them.
Its me.

This Is The Picture
Excellent birds
Flying birds
Excellent birds
Watch them fly, there they go
Falling snow
Excellent snow
Here it comes. watch it fall
Long words
Excellent words
I can hear them now
This is the picture, this is the picture
This is the picture, this is the picture
Im sitting by the window
Watching the snow fall
Im looking out
And Im moving, turning in time
Catching up. moving in
Jump up! I can land on my feet. look out!
This is the picture, this is the picture
This is the picture, this is the picture
Looking out. watching out
When I see the future I close my eyes
I can see it now
I see pictures of people, rising up
Pictures of people, falling down
I see pictures of people
Theyre standing on their heads, theyre ready
Theyre looking out, look out!
Theyre watching out, watch out!
Theyre looking out, look out!
Theyre watching out, watch out!
I see pictures of people
I see pictures of people

Dirty Movies
Now whos that babe with the fabulous shadow?
Its only one scene, but to me it dont matter
Her movies get down like you wont find in my hometown
They wont believe it when they see what theyre seein
Go see baby now!
Pictures on the silver screen
Greatest thing youve ever seen
Now her name is up in lights
Everything turns out all right
Daddys little sweetie after some damn rainbow
Got the big deal in the back of a limo
Now showbiz is so thrillin, the camera rolls shes willin
They wont believe it when they see what theyre seein
Go see baby now!
Hey, you remember when that girl was prom queen?
Oh wow! take it off! take it all off!
Pictures on the silver screen
Greatest thing youve ever seen
Now her name is up in lights
Everything turns out all right
Now they believe it, now that theyve seen it
Go see baby now!
Pictures on the silver screen
Greatest thing youve ever seen
Now my babys up in lights
Everything turns out all right

A Sliver of Silver
Gently falling from
The midnight sky
A sliver of silver
Dropped into
My palm;
It began to slowly melt
Into a little silver pool
Caressing
Each fold,
Each crease;
Quiescent in quietude,
Coalescing
With the warmth
Of my hand;
There it rested.
A smile
Lit up my face
In gratitude
For this small
Gift of the Moon.

Silver And Gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Ev'ryone wishes for silver and gold
How do you measure its worth?
Just by the pleasure it gives here on earth.
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Mean so much more when I see
Silver and gold decorations
On ev'ry Christmas tree.
Silver, silver and gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Wise men brought gifts to the mange I'm told
Mary was humble to see
Shepherds and kings there on bended knees
It's silver and gold, silver and gold
Feeling the world with their lives
Silver and gold how they shimmer on ev'ry Christmas night
On ev'ry Christmas night
Silver, silver and gold

Clear, With Light, Variable Winds
The fountain bent and straightened itself
In the night wind,
Blowing like a flower.
It gleamed and glittered,
A tall white lily,
Under the eye of the golden moon.
From a stone seat,
Beneath a blossoming lime,
The man watched it.
And the spray pattered
On the dim grass at his feet.
The fountain tossed its water,
Up and up, like silver marbles.
Is that an arm he sees?
And for one moment
Does he catch the moving curve
Of a thigh?
The fountain gurgled and splashed,
And the man's face was wet.
Is it singing that he hears?
A song of playing at ball?
The moonlight shines on the straight column of water,
And through it he sees a woman,
Tossing the water-balls.
Her breasts point outwards,
And the nipples are like buds of peonies.
Her flanks ripple as she plays,
And the water is not more undulating
Than the lines of her body.
'Come,' she sings, 'Poet!
Am I not more worth than your day ladies,
Covered with awkward stuffs,
Unreal, unbeautiful?
What do you fear in taking me?
Is not the night for poets?
I am your dream,
Recurrent as water,
Gemmed with the moon!'
She steps to the edge of the pool
And the water runs, rustling, down her sides.
She stretches out her arms,
And the fountain streams behind her
Like an opened veil.

In the morning the gardeners came to their work.
'There is something in the fountain,' said one.
They shuddered as they laid their dead master
On the grass.
'I will close his eyes,' said the head gardener,
'It is uncanny to see a dead man staring at the sun.'

Fountain Of Sorrow
Looking through some photographs I found inside a drawer
I was taken by a photograph of you
There were one or two I know that you would have liked a little more
But they didnt show your spirit quite as true
You were turning round to see who was behind you
And I took your childish laughter by surprise
And at the moment that my camera happened to find you
There was just a trace of sorrow in your eyes
Now the things that I remember seem so distant and so small
Though it hasnt really been that long a time
What I was seeing wasnt what was happening at all
Although for a while, our path did seem to climb
But when you see through loves illusions, there lies the danger
And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool
So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger
While the loneliness seems to spring from your life
Like a fountain from a pool
Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light
Youve known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight
Youve had to hide sometimes, but now youre all right
And its good to see your smiling face tonight
Now for you and me it may not be that hard to reach our dreams
But that magic feeling never seems to last
And while the futures there for anyone to change, still you know its seems
It would be easier sometimes to change the past
Im just one or two years and a couple of changes behind you
In my lessons at loves pain and heartache school
Where if you feel too free and you need something to remind you
Theres this loneliness springing up from your life
Like a fountain from a pool
Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light
Youve known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight
Youve had to hide sometimes but now youre all right
And its good to see your smiling face tonight
Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light
Youve known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight
Youve had to struggle, youve had to fight
To keep understanding and compassion in sight
You could be laughing at me, youve got the right
But you go on smiling so clear and so bright

Pictures In The Sand
And Im gonna spend my time,
Drawing pictures in the sand for you.
And Im gonna ride the tide[? ],
And Im gonna make a rendezvous.
Sitting by the sea,
Sipping at my tea,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing message to you.
Pictures in the sand (drawing pictures in the sand)
There is nothing I would rather do (there is nothing I would rather do)
Than just sit here in the sand (drawing pictures in the sand)
And think of thinks Id like to say to you (I love you true)
Every single day (every single day)
I waste my time away,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing messages to you.
(all together)
Pictures in the sand. (drawing pictures in the sand)
Pictures in the sand.
If I didnt have a dime,
Would you still be loving me?
While I spend my whole life through,
Drawing pictures just for you.
But I could never draw my love,
Its so very hard to do.
Every single day,
I waste my time away,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing messages to you.
Pictures in the sand. (drawing pictures in the sand)

Go Faster
What kind of trouble did I get into?
Gotcha moving, gotcha moving
Not staying long just passing through
Keep you rolling, keep you rolling
I know the chemicals you like too
Gotcha moving, gotcha moving
And if you ask me nice
Ill take you to school
Keep you rolling, keep you rolling
I took all I need
I dont need no more
Then Ill take what I want
Until I want some more
You cant stop
Or I might pass ya
If you slow down
Ill out last ya
But when youre down
You wont find me laughing
Just one question I might ask ya
It might sound like a disaster
Can you make this thing go faster?
I know something baby we can do
Gotcha moving, gotcha moving
A pinch, a bite, a lick or maybe two
Keep you rolling, keep you rolling
Saw what I came to see
Dont want to see no more
I dont think its diseased
But is sure is sore

Why Dont You Dance
Why can I still see
Out on the floor
You shimmy and shake it
And we head for the door
Then we take a ride naked
There was no need to fake it
Moving like a mountain
(moving like a mountain)
Youre my little wild one
(youre my little wild one)
Coming like a fountain
(coming like a fountain)
What happened to that big fun
(what happened to that big fun)
Shake it
Oh there she goes drifting across the floor
Dont you shimmy, dont you shake
Dont you
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
What happened to the wide eyed girl
Who wanted a piece of my soul
Remember that friday
I saw you with that sinner
He stood up and held out his hand
Just like a winner
I said if you take my hand to shake it
Ill take your face and break it
I think I saw you crying
(I think I saw you crying)
You walked out with that big gun
(you walked out with that big gun)
Nights when Im not lying
(nights when Im not lying)
I miss my little wild one
(I miss my little wild one)
Oh baby I remember how youd
Shiver to my touch
Dont you shake
Dont you shimmy, baby
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Oh step back in time
And see that scene again
Lets dance again
Baby
Oh baby
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why
Dont you
Dance
Dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why
Dont you
Dance
Moving like a mountain
(moving like a mountain)
Youre my little wild one
(youre my little wild one)
Coming like a fountain
(coming like a fountain)
What happened to that big fun
(what happened to that big fun)
Shake it
Oh there she goes drifting across the floor
Dont you shimmy, dont you shake
Dont you
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you shake baby you
Why dont you baby
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Why dont you dance
Anymore
