Transcendence
Once in our lifetime we celebrate
life in laughter and in joy,
at another time, the celebration
comes like a weeping over a bitter cup
Then again, we yearn for wholeness
that which we call, the original state.
What is it beyond our bodies
we want to migrate from?
What is it beyond our minds
we want to grasp?
What is it within us
that is so restless?
What is beyond our time and space?
Is it that makes life mortal, immortal?
Is it that makes finitude, an infinity?
Is it an eternity that calls us
beyond rubles or bitter cups?

dear friend
i write this with bitterness
this poem,
this un-poem,
this anti-poem which is bitter
i do not know if you are bitter too,
because if you are
perhaps you
can easily understand how is it to be unpoetic
because you are bitter
because i have
the impression that to be poetic
it must be something
that makes us feel beautiful
inside out
and which also
spreads beauty
all around the world,
and people will be happy
and know that something
poetic is always the one
that creates order,
system,
nice feelings,
nothing of that bitter sort,
that depressing effect,
that prompts a suicide
somewhere along the straight line
of life,
i have nothing bad

Like the blink of an eye
your life just goes.

Let Us Exchange (A Message to the Nations at War)
Let us exchange the fresh red roses,
Sweet smelling scents and perfumes,
And the restless palpitating hearts too.
Uproot the thorny weeds of disgust,
Spread arms, open the shut windows,
Of the locked rusty close minds.
A time to sweep the paths clean,
Picking up the thorns and stones,
Where upon our children will walk,
Bare feet, advancing to the heights,
In search of the brightening zones.
A time to throw the spacey cobras,
Into the waters of the deep seas,
To remove impending fatal fear,
That makes us all yellow or pale,
To wash blobs of the bitter past.

The gravedigger's little daughter reads a passage from a loose-leaf book sitting on a broken tomb
While her father digs a grave for a pauper.
'The cunning fox tells
That grape is bitter on the hills.'
The kind nurse with a smile brings medicine to a sick bed
