Conversation

The tumult in the heart
keeps asking questions.
And then it stops and undertakes to answer
in the same tone of voice.
No one could tell the difference.

Uninnocent, these conversations start,
and then engage the senses,
only half-meaning to.
And then there is no choice,
and then there is no sense;

until a name
and all its connotation are the same.

To Make A Difference!

take your finger from the trigger,
lay down your gun...
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!

lower your hand, soften your voice,
let go of your anger...
you have a chance to make a difference...
make the right choice!

put down your checkbook, close the register,
do something you really feel....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!

throw out your pill bottle and your pipe,
stand up and face life....
you have a chance to make a difference...
make the right choice!

turn off your tv and your computer,
get involved with someone in need....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!

lay down your judgements and your pride,
see people as just people....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!

Eight senses

(poetry in progress)

the world starts out
with a consciousness
half a consciousness
then one consciousness
then they morph with one sense,
ask the mountain
they stand and stand until the
volcanoes start to throw them out

then two senses, ask the trees
and the shrubs criss crossing
with your paths in the field
they stand and stand, take
the sunshine and make green
a colour for continuous evolution
their only shortcoming is their
two sense world, they stand and stand
a state of being, a state of living
and that's all

the three senses, the four senses
and the five senses, the human beings
they cry to God to let them
have eternal life
but what ever that's for
without the sixth, seventh, or eight sense
unveiled to them

sixth, the sense to connect the past
with the future
the seventh, the sense to connect
the future with the million of consciousness
clarmouring for the eight senses
to be with the ultimate, the Om,
the Divine where all senses
come together with one Supreme
consciousnes, amalgamation of
senses where knowledge springs forth

What Now?

now the questions are asking you
what now? quo vadis?
where to? what for?
why?

yes, why above all.
the questions are asking you
and you must answer with the very same questions to the questions

you beg, and they beg too
the answer to the questions

but you have no answers really
you have learned the art of wisdom
its own ways
its own manners of not answering with answers

who knows? no one knows?

Weapon Of Choice

Dont be shocked by the tone of my voice
Just got my new weapon, the weapon of choice
Dont be shocked by the tone of my voice
Just got my new weapon, the weapon of choice
Listen to the sound of my voice
I can chicken al loud, its the weapon of choice
Dont be shocked by the tone of my voice
Its the new weapon, the weapon of choice
2x chorus:
You can go with this,
Or you can go with that,
You can go with this,
Or you can go with that,
You can go with this,
Or you can go with that,
Or you can throw with (us)-(only the 1st time)
Walk without rythm,
It wont attrack the worm
Walk without rythm,
And it wont attrack the worm
Walk without rythm,
And it wont attrack the worm
If you walk without rythm,
Ah, you never learn
Dont be shocked by the tone of my voice
Just got my new weapon, weapon of choice
Dont be shocked by the tone of my voice
Just got my new weapon, weapon of choice
Be carefull, we dont know them
Be carefull, we dont know them
Be carefull, we dont know them
2x chorus
Oh, mary we wont do the ? ? ?
Too big love to the angels of lie
Yeah, and my girl
She just dont understand
Is gone beyond being a man
? ? ?

But Im going to hold my cool,
Because of easy rules
Yeah, so move on baby, yeah
Halfway between the gutter and the stars, yeah
Halfway between the gutter and the stars, yeah

Man has made some machines that can answer questions provided the facts are profusely stored in them, but we will never be able to make a machine that will ask questions. The ability to ask the right question is more than half the battle of finding the answer.

Always Asking Questions

We all want peace we dont want misery
So many of us wont let us be these things
But we only are confused
We feel stronger as we grow older
But still we feel bemused
Always asking questions
Were always asking questions
And the temptation is to just step back
Well we give what we lack
We will always be asking questions
Why rich?
Why poor?
Always asking questions
Were always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Were always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Always asking
Dont stop asking
Dont stop asking questions
Always asking questions
In answer to this question is just shut up
You dont know
I dont know
Nobody knows
This is an answer to every question
This is a place to begin
Always asking questions
Always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Why this?
Why that?
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )

Do You Miss Me?

Do you miss me like I miss you
or has absence taken its toll?
I cannot think straight anymore,
I don't seem to be whole.

Half of me has gone to I don't know where,
I guess wherever you are.
The other half stays behind and waits
to glimpse a falling star.

It's then I'll make a wish for you
that will help my heart keep still,
instead of throbbing and weeping
and causing me to feel ill.

I know I must go on my love.
I've got no other choice.
At times when I'm lonely and missing you
I use my silent voice

And ask myself. Do you miss me?
Miss me like I miss you?
The question is a torment
for the answer can't get through.

still no answer no matter what i say

i thought i found my soulmate
but your tearing my soul apart
a block of ice replaced my heart

why won't u let me hear ur voice
seems like u leave me no choice
with pain i say we have to part
and thanks for ripping out my heart

The Other End Of The Telescope (live)

Shall we agree that just this once
I'm going to change my life
Until it's just as tiny or important as you like
And in time we won't even remember we spoke
Words that turned out to be as big as smoke
A smoke that disappears into the air
There's always something smoldering somewhere
I know it don't make a difference to you
But oh! It sure made a difference to me
You'll see me off in the distance I hope
At the other end
At the other end of the telescope
The promise of indulgence in my confidential voice
Approached immortal danger but you'll never know how close
Then down the hall I overheard such a heavenly choir
They interrupted my evil designs
One day you are up in the clouds
The next thing you're down with the Sweet Adelines
I know it don't make a difference to you
But oh! It sure made a difference to me
You'll see me off in the distance I hope
At the other end
At the other end of the telescope
Lie down baby now
Don't say a word
There there baby your vision is blurred
Your head is so sore from all of that thinking
I don't want to hurt you know
But I think you're shrinking
You're half-naked ambition and half out of your wits
Or several tiny fractions that this portrait still omits
Now it's so hard to pick the receiver up when I call
I never noticed you could be so small
The answer was under your nose but the question never arose
I know it don't make a difference to you
But oh! It sure made a difference to me
You'll see me off in the distance I hope
'Cos late in the evening as I sit here moping
With a bamboo needle on a shellac of Chopin
And the cast-iron heart that you failed to tear open
At the other end
At the other end of the telescope

Answer to all questions

Alcohol is not the answer
To all questions
Stated by Mahatma Gandhi.

Alcohol is not the answer
To all the questions
But if you do not get the answer
It helps you to forget the question
Stated by Vijaya Mallya.

Gandhi and Mallya
Two poles of alcohol
Life style of both are
Like alcohol but with
Difference to those
Who know alcohol and those
Who do not know alcohol
Both the persons are
Irrelevant and meaningless.

Shellshock

Thats the way - shellshock
Hold on!its never enough
Its never enough until your heart stops beating
The deeper you get, the sweeter the pain
Dont give up the game until your heart stops beating
You call me on the phone, you left me all alone
All I get from you is shellshock
Another day goes by and all I do is cry
All I get from you is shellshock
Id tell the world and save my soul
But rain falls down and I feel cold
A cold that sleeps within my heart
It tears the earth and sun apart
But thats the way that I can win
A victim of your evil sin
Youve lost the hold youve had on me
By causing the changes that you never see
Hold on! its never enough
Its never enough until your heart stops beating
The deeper you get, the sweeter the pain
Dont give up the game until your heart stops beating
When we walk through open doorways,
Counting time in one or more ways
We cant find our peace of mind
And life becomes a life of crime
And thats the day I call your name
I came to you, I called in vain
You lost the faith within your heart
The fire in your soul from the end to the start
Hold on!its never enough
Its never enough until your heart stops beating
The deeper you get, the sweeter the pain
Dont give up the game until your heart stops beating
Ive been good and Ive been bad
But common sense Ive never had
No matter how I try and try,
I hide the truth behind a lie
But thats the way that I can win
A victim of your evil sin
You lost the faith within your heart
The fire in your soul from the end to the start
Hold on!its never enough
Its never enough until your heart stops beating
The deeper you get, the sweeter the pain
Dont give up the game until your heart stops beating

My Heart Stops

(diane warren)
(recorded by eric carmen)
Arista as1-2264 / 1992
I tell myself
This cant be love
That Im feelin
But if I think that my world
Will be the way that it was
Im dreamin
Why do I feel so high
At the mention of your name
Why do I act so shy
Cant explain, cant explain, cant explain
But darlin
Wo-wo-wo when you go walkin by
My heart stops
My heart stops
I cant explain it
Wo-wo-wo when you look in my eye
My heart stops
My heart stops
Every time youre near
Just thinkin about you
Darlin it just does
Something to me
And when we meet on the street
I feel the flame of love
Burnin through me
I try to play it cool
And never show a sign
But I give myself away
Every time, every time, every time
cause darlin
Wo-wo-wo when you go walkin by
My heart stops
My heart stops
I cant explain it
Wo-wo-wo when you look in my eye
My heart stops
My heart stops
Every time youre near
My heart stops, my heart stops
My heart stops, my heart stops
Oh, whenever youre close to me
Theres a wave of love rushin over me
And I never felt this way
Cant explain, cant explain, cant explain
But darlin
My darlin
Wo-wo-wo when you go walkin by
My heart stops
My heart stops
I cant explain it
Wo-wo-wo when you look in my eye
My heart stops
My heart stops
Every time youre near

When My Voice Stops!

When my voice stops for ever
There will be no tumults of words ever.
The stars will still twinkle and rivers will still die.

When my voice stops I shall dive into your oblivion
And in another costume someone will impersonate me.
The hymns will still be heard and the fresh idols will surface.

When my voice stops a lone sheep may bleat
As it stands near the tender leaves aplenty.
I think it may bleat for a while and cease to do so thenceforth.

When my voice stops those who loved me once for a while
May shed a few drops of tears innocent
And I may turn on my tomb for a sigh!

With a Choice to Keep the Value

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice?
When it was you,
Who made not listening to me...
Your choice.

Why is my comprehension mentioned,
To be a priority of your concern?
I'm well aware of those lessons I've learned.
And few of them taught I seek to be repeated.
You brought to me then an acknowledgement.
And I did not hesitate,
To connect that to my common sense.

I received it and I heeded.

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice.
To review conversations,
I attempted to make...
That came to rest on deaf ears?

Perhaps there is a clarity,
Not understood before...
But overnight your eyes opened.
And a clarity that could have been yours...
Has now between your ears appeared?

Go ahead and say,
What you believe today is okay.
However,
If I should abruptly walk away...
Think of it as not being disrespectful.
But a sign of the times,
When one finds peace of mind.
With a choice to keep the value of it protected.

Think of my getting away from you,
In that perspective!
A treasured gift one gets...
To never be neglected.

Do Not Interrupt My Choice

I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You're in a position to listen.

And...
If employed,
In a customer service position...
As a 'sales technician',
Like it or not...
Respect my choice.
Do not debate with me,
To stir up conflict...
With my decision.

When I'm given 'voice'...
And I know that voice to be,
Coming from one to indicate superior authority...
Over me!
As if what I decide for my life is not best.
Because I reveal I live on a budget...
And that is confessed how fixed it is.
Do NOT act as if,
I am not aware of it!
By treating me on the telephone,
Where I live is inferior.
And my mind is in a non-thinking zone!

I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You are in a position to listen.

And...
Do not give me dial tone either.
Because my decision affects your commission.
I am not responsible for your economic condition.
Especially if I can barely satisfy my own!
Do not interrupt my choice,
By disconnecting your voice.

There Are Some Questions

there are some questions
that at first glance
bring you nothing
like an empty basket
with nothing
but wicker spaces
all around it

like: how do you do?
what time is it?

but change these questions
to something
that slaps us
that makes us think about our existence?

like: how do you do with cancer?
what time is it that you will die?

tragic, but the truth runs like nerves
howling for help in your flesh
berserk
but then like anybody moving
it stops to rest
and stares to a world without questions
just plain
stare and acceptances

some manage however to let hope
come inside their mouths
to say:

how do you do mother? what time is it when the next baby comes?
when we will be a family,
a home, when we will face the new born babe
like a fireplace
near the breakfast table
where conversations about baptisms and weddings
flourish like some flowers
starting to bloom
in spring

A Question Anyone

We have in life
a surfeit
of those who step to the mark
to declare
what should and can be done.

Ideas pour
from their open mouths
enunciating in grave tones
and solemn decrees
making claim
to the Wisdom
of the Knowledge Tree.

Regard these not
or follow those
who claim Secret Lore
and urge 'follow me.'

Hard Truth:
Every one claims answers
but cannot tell you what is the question;

every one thinks their answer
if true for them
is also true for you;
from that silly stance recoil.

Every sage can tell you what to do
but none can identify the first step.

All can see the path to follow
but none can answer
if a first step
is consistent with several paths which may follow.

None can answer
if you deny their answers offered,
(which are commonly either or choices)
but note life most often shows either/or
most often is neither/other.

None can tell you what is scientific about the scientific method.

None can separate in a simple sentence the difference between
book learning and common sense.

No sage alive can claim to know why Progress Now
has crashed so low-
despite all the Smart Ones
gone before.

Why is it that ignorance always fills the void
that Knowledge leaves?

Why are there always a surplus of answers
but few good questions?

I don't know
but I know what I don't know
hopefully,
that makes me one step ahead
of those who know the answer
before the question.

I think
those that always know
what they think they know
without ever asking
what is the question
that their knowing
is the answer to-
don't know
anything.

Best to smile faintly,
turn
and leave.

In life,
deep wisdom states:
we must learn to ask our own questions
so that answers are our own answers
drawing upon our own experience.

Ask not what the wise think
but ask instead
what questions did they ask
when it counted
as now,
at the brink.

I choose the questions

You think I am wise
Giving you the questions that
You cannot answer

On a wide domain of answers
A question or two shall be taken

And you will answer them for me

Haven’t you tried thinking
If we shift roles

Ok, so you try asking the questions now
I do not answer

I could have answered you
Because I can, but I won’t

I think, I have become real myself.
