Hands of Fathers and Sons

Full from the heart without a sealant of coy,
Five little fingers curled to daddy's thumb,
To his lips in render of his unmeasured joy,
A kiss of truth that only father could add up.

Full of strength without defiance of charm,
Now bigger fingers grapple to daddy's arm,
To his balding head tap by surprising defeat,
Sense of truth that son to father's no threat.

Full of love but without resistance of shame,
Two open hands locked to weakening frame,
That was once so gentle and fragile to hold,
The etymon of truth, future is now foretold.

That long before he's the son; he's the father,
With same name to carry, write, and spell,
Either left or right, these hands will not falter,
Their strength to give and care is their will.

Our Father

Oh daddy please,
Take me with you
Where you going
Oh daddy please,
Come find the time,
Come watch us growing
Oh daddy please,
Dont leave theres so
Much that we want to
Know before you go
Im in need of someone
To tie my shoe,
Or take hold of my hand
When I become afraid
And whose footsteps
Will I follow into,
Daddy please,
Dont run away
Our father
Far father
Well let me tell you bout
Our father
Far farther away...
Oh daddy please,
I pray every night
The doors will open
Oh daddy please,
This house is just
A broken home,
Left all alone

If Daddy Only Knew

I wonder if Daddy knew I had to become super-responsible and a miniature adult at the age of 12
I wonder if Daddy knew life at home was full of broken promises and full of disappointment.
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't ever carry me fishing
I wonder if Daddy knew why I had to take life so seriously
I wonder if Daddy knew why I couldn't have fun like my other friends
I wonder if Daddy knew I never really knew what 'normal' was
I wonder if Daddy knew I had to lie and cover up the truth about our family for all those years when telling the truth would have been easier
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't ever tell me he loved me. Was it because I was a little 'man'?
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't come to my graduation?
I wonder if Daddy knew how much I loved him?
I wonder if Daddy knew how many times the arguments and yelling was my bedtime lullaby?
I wonder if Daddy knew..................that I knew

Abba, Daddy, Father

Abba, did you smile as you
saw the perfect world you’d just created?
And did you weep when Adam fell
and Eve tumbled after?
Abba, do I have the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Daddy, did you jump for joy as
you saw your son, born to human parents?
And did you write the Angels words
as Glory shone all around?
Daddy, did the shepherds have the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Father, did you laugh out loud as
Mary and Joseph searched for their son, and
Found him in the Temple, with you?
Did you allow the telling off that he got?
Father, did you give Mary and Joseph the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Abba, did your heart break asunder as
the Angels thundered to go and rescue
Your Son from the cross? Did you cry raindrops
when you had to turn your back, because of sin?
Abba, did you deny the Christ the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Daddy, did the Angels turn and ask
You, why? How did you reply when the words
choked you? Were you waiting to destroy
the world that crucified your Son?
Daddy, did you think about taking away our right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Father, did you yell at Satan, when
he thought he had won? Did you let
him believe it, and then showed him Your Son
by your side? Did Satan fly in rage?
Father, how did you feel, when Satan fell from grace, no longer to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Abba, was it your loud shout that woke the
world on that Easter morn? Was it you who
moved the stone? Did you close the eyes of
the guards, as Glory shone around?
Abba, did you allow Mary the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?

Daddy, did you smile when you saw
the perfect Son, alive, alive, ALIVE?
And did the Angels party, and are they
partying still? Will it be long before you
come again? And does the earth rest?
Do we have the right to call you, Abba, Daddy, Father?

Father, do you always remember your gifts
and promises to us, yet forget the sins?
Can I feel your arms around me? Am I
blessed by your Son? And, Father, do I
still have the right to call on you? Do I
still have the right to call you Abba, Daddy, Father?

Abba, Daddy, Father, do you rejoice in those
names? Do you look at your children
and remember their names, one by one?
And can I stretch out my hand and get
one to one attention? Abba, Daddy, Father,
that is what I call you, by right, My Abba, My Daddy, My Father.

When Father's Day Nears

I give my daddy the props,
But my mama deserves the praise.
She was there to discipline me
And my siblings.
Daddy she was on most of those days!

Both mother and father and teacher and friend.
Daddy was in and out,
When my childhood began!
But there was no mistake...
As to who daddy was.
He enforced the rules,
And mama was the boss!

And every year when Father's Day nears...
Both of them I honor and credit!
If daddy wasn't there,
And we would get in mama's hair...
She would say,
'When your father comes home,
You're gonna get it! '

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. John 2 (Chapter 1)

The elder to lady, children,
Who love the truth and know it long;
For sake of truth that dwells in us,
And shall be with us forever.

The grace and mercy, peace of God
The Father, and the Son, Jesus
Christ’s truth and love too be with you!

I found thy children walk in truth,
And I rejoice greatly therefore,
As we’ve received the commandments,
From Father, Almighty, Lord, God.

And now, I beseech thee, lady!
I’ve written not a new command,
But that we had from beginning,
That said we love one another.

To love is commandment greatest,
And when we walk in His commands,
It is all love that’s pure, divine,
And hence, we must do from the start.

The deceiver who enters the world,
And says that Jesus was ne’er flesh,
Is deceiver and antichrist!

Take care that we do not then lose,
Those things that we have wrought with toil,
And that we get our full reward.

Whoever transgresses this then,
And doesn’t abide in Christ’s doctrine,
Loses the God of love in him;
He who abides in Christ’s doctrine,
Has Father and the Son as well.

If anyone should come to you,
Without the doctrine of Jesus,
Receive him not into your house,
And neither bid him then, God speed,
For, if you so bid him, then you,
Partake of his evil deeds too.

I have so many things to write,
But I will not with paper, ink;
But want to see you, face to face,
And speak, so that our joy is full!
The children of elect sister,
Greet thee, Amen.

Hold Me My Daddy

Hold me my daddy,
I never felt lower than dirt on the floor.
I say hold me my daddy,
I never felt like crying oceans before.
If this means war, why are we in it?
Mightve fired off a couple of rounds, I didnt mean to begin it.
If these are the bullets that every father and son must chew,
Well then hold me my daddy, I forgot to say I love you.
Hold me my daddy,
It hurts me to see grown men fighting this way.
I say hold me my daddy,
The young and the old dog arent having their day.
This civil war, why are we in it?
Theres nobody on this flat earth, would ever want to win it.
If these are the hot coals that every father and son walks through,
Well then hold me my daddy, I forgot to say I love you.
And if you agree we can make amends.
All this squabbling Ive hated.
In another time and another place where our history bends,
We couldve been the best of friends and not merely related.
Well these are the right words to say,
Theyre difficult but still true,
Well then hold me my daddy,
I forgot to say I love you.
(hold him. tight. hold him like he was a baby.)

Save Them Father

Father you are always on my mind, I love you Father and trust
in you with all my heart. I have no questions for your decisions,
my faith is strong and true.

Father I’m in awe when I look around this world, when I stand
and take in the awesome views, I know this is the work of the
Master, and that Master for certain is you.

This morning Father I pray for those without faith, who can not
see pass their noses. They have eyes that function, but they
truly can not see.

Father give these blind people the ability to come out from their
deadened shells, touch them with your spirit, let them see the
light.

Oh Father God, drench them with your love so they make no
mistake. Take them by the hand so some day they too will
walk through Heaven’s Gate.

Father sometime young people are taken in by those who have
no interest in their soul but only in the money that they hold.
The devil’s people live among us, taking advantage of many.

Your children need your guidance Father and your continued
patience for I truly believe some day they will come out of the
darkness, walk into the light and face the truth.

Father I leave these people to you, in your caring hands. May
they make Jesus the center of their lives and join their brothers
and sisters who know the truth, save them Father.

I Love you Father and I ask this Lord in the name of your only
Son Jesus.-Amen

A Sunday Prayer For Our Lost Sisters And Brothers

Dear Father God, once again I come to you on a Sunday morning.
Father please know that I love you dearly, I respect your name,
I love your son Jesus. Father know that I give thanks for all that you have given, your wondrous views, your precious animal kingdom, the miracle of childbirth and more.

Father this Sunday I would like to focus on praying for your children who deny you, those who say you don’t exist, those that
refuse to acknowledge you in any way. Yes Lord I pray for them
for they are lost and as your son said a long time ago, “they no not what they do”. Father cleanse their minds, open their eyes and show them the way to the truth. Father speak to them, walk with
them.

Father these people are lost, misguided and need you in their lives,
although they may never ask you Lord, give me the knowledge,
wisdom, patience and strength to know how best to minister to
these non believers. Use me Lord as a vessel to deliver your
word so they may understand there is no other that comes before
you.

Lord we all have our problems, we are all sinners, I have sinned
and still have weaknesses, but Lord I would never deny you, I
get my strength from you, I know when I have fallen you will be
there to pick me up and start me once again on the right track. I
know you will comfort me in my saddest hours. I know I will
here the whispers of your precious voice, I know you love me, I
have faith in you and I trust only in you and not in man. I belive
only in you and not in man, I know I can deal with any situation
with you by my side. Father I want these people to know you as
I do.

I ask this prayer this Sunday morning in the name of your precious
son Jesus. Thank you Father, Amen.

A Father In Heaven

Oh fools and slow of hart,
Don't you know that there is a Father in heaven? !
But the love of many had drawn cold and,
My ink will flow to teach many.
I am as strong as an iron on this earth of sin and,
I don't need signs to believe in the truth;
For, Yahweh is my light and my salvation.

Feet and toes as a potter's clay,
Hands and fingers as a poet's ink,
Remember the Saviour's words like,
He who has the truth to hare with.

Of the peoples, multitudes, nation and tongues;
A Father is in heven for us to loook upon;
But our lives do fade away like the fragments of pottery.

Daddy please don't cry

I know we don't always
See eye to eye
O! Daddy please don't cry

You gotta to know
Your baby gotta grow
Throw away for once your ego
One of these heads gotta bow
Or we will continue to row and row

O! Daddy please don't cry
This is not the way
I want to say goodbye
Wipe those tears
Your daughter cares
Her love is always there and near
Daddy, I am always with you my dear

O! Daddy please don't cry
I tell you no lie
You are one hell of a father
I will never forget
You are one hell of a father
I will never regret
This is not the time for morning blues

I love you Daddy
I love you Daddy
I know Daddy loves me too

Father

Father I come to you with open arms, wanting to feel your spirit.
Place my feet on Holy ground, open my ears to hear your glorious sound. Open my eyes so I will see, take wasted fear away from me.

Father give me the hope I need to survive, allow me many years to stay alive. Father you are the one I truly love, please send me your blessings from above.

Father walk with me, see me through, I’ll always keep my trust in you. Forgive me Father you know I’ve sinned, a little tap perhaps
upon my chin.

Father I’ve listened to those with false charm, placing myself in the way of harm. Thank you for being in the midst, with open
arms and a Heavenly kiss.

Father when the night is lonely and the tears come through, I desperately need to think of you. Please take away all the strife, allow me to enjoy my life.

Father when I’m weak and meet many a stumbling block and can’t make sense of here nor there, then take me Father, far away, so I may start a brand new day.

Father I ask this prayer in the name of your son “Jesus Christ” our living Savior, sweet, sweet Jesus.

I see your fingers
I see you in your fingers
I see your history from your fingers
I feel your touch from your fingers
They don't tell a lie to me
They don't give me a fake smile

But they give me a warm hold

I see you from your fingers
I see the truth from your fingers

My Father's Daughters

Are so smart
and, they have
my Father's Heart

When we get together
we really share in love and truth
each one really cares about
the other one too

My Father's Daughters
talk about who they will help next
they talk about who needs support
and who they can protect

My Father's Daughters
like their Dad
tries to get His heart
to let each woman know
that she is a work of art

They want so much
to soothe and heal
my sisters, are so real

They are a team, really
these girls are spiritually pretty
each one unique, each one belongs
each one helps the other one stay strong

And these girls are in the word, they put God first
they're so full of His Love
they let the last one go first

and these Sister's are accountable
to each other
and gossip no way
that's just plain trouble

These Sisters, My Father's Daughters
Are really Beautiful
When we laugh together
no one wants to go

oh No! not my Father's Daughters

Father into yours hands I place

As A Matter Of Fact

It has been said,
I am full of this...
And full of that.
With many believing,
I am full of crap.

But please know this...
Wherever I am 'at',
God has got my back!
And you can not give to me,
Any more or less attention...
Than My Father has given!
Let me state that as a matter of fact.

And My Father and I,
Will continue to give.
That's just how close,
Our relationship IS.
Hopefully something about this,
Has been understood!

You Need Me

As a child I missed a lot of love I never had
And daddy, he was distant, never there to hold my hand
Never bought the things hed always promise to give me
Mother made a point of always watching over me
Days would go by and we would never see his face
In my mind Id wonder does he have another place?
If and when hed come in he would always be upset
All the kids were scared, his looks would always be a threat
Chorus:
Now that you are older and you begin to see
Familys important, to be there if you need
Father never taught us, these things mom said to me
Now the tables turned so tell me you need me
Daddy daddy dearest, what is it you want from me
I wont turn my back on you the way you did with me
Now youre trying to give, Im always reaching out to grab
Ill give you what I can but I cant give what I dont have
Mother lends a shoulder, to cry on if you need
But are you there for mother when she needs your company?
Father never taught us, these things mom said to me
Now the tables turned so tell me you need me
Say you need me
If you realize we need each other
We would be a closer family
I need you, yeah, I need you, and you know that
Say you need me
Repeat chorus
Say you need me
Just you wait
Youll need me
(howd that groove go? hey!)

Your Daddy's,
Little ray of sunshine,
That came into the world,
Your Daddy's,
Little rays of sunshine,
In the shape of a girl,
Your Daddy's,
Little ray of sunshine,
With a head full of curls,

Your Daddy's pride and joy,
Your Daddy's love,
His own flesh and blood,
Your happines,
And being part of him,
Makes him proud,
That you are his,
Little ray of sunshine,

The love that you both share,
No-one else on earth could,
You'll always be special,
In your Daddy's heart,

For you are,
His little ray of sunshine.

Healer of hearts

Healer of hearts

Father, Gracious Father and healer of hearts
I pray for your mercy and strength to cover me
Through this difficult time
Oh Healer of hearts, help me seek peace in You
And though things threaten to rock my foundation
Precious Father hold me close and keep me in You

Our God of infinite love and understanding
Take my aching heart and soothe it with Your promise
That what I feel now, is not the bearing of my own doing
Oh healer of hearts, keep me safe in You
Even if others may threaten to hurt me
Awesome Father I trust in You

Our cornerstone, our strength in all
I turn to You Father when the memories hurt my soul
When tides bring in despair and worthlessness
Oh Healer of hearts, remove them from my being
That I do not look inside of me for blame
Precious Father, in You I am free

Father, dear Father, today I stand at Your mercy
Asking for renewal, revival of new in me
Take my heart, take my soul, surround me with grace
Oh Healer of hearts, renew me in the spirit of hope
And the strength to put behind the things of the past
My Father, my Father, the healer of my heart.
