It is possible that Mount Olympus may have supplied the poets with the hint for saying that Jupiter obtained the kingdom of heaven, because Olympus is the common name both of the mountain and of heaven.

We'll Soon Be Dust
Heaven knows we'll soon be dust
And your wealth shall all be lost.
.
Who could admit the folly on Olympus?
Who could quench forever the
thirst of Zeus' sexual lust.
Who could stop Hera from
being so jealous?
Why should Hades be so greedy.
All these I do not know.
But a man must learn to extend
his love.
For tomorrow, there shall be no
World we could call our own.

Bird Dream Of The Olympus Mons
Speed leaving without
Warning
I need some place to sleep tonight
Blowing in the rocking of the pine
Speed leaving without warning
The sunlight is going
Into the mountain
I will crawl
Into the mountain
Sun shines in the rusty morning
Skyline of the olympus mons
I think about it sometimes
Sun shines in the rusty morning
Once I had a good fly
Into the mountain
I will fall.

Lake Of Fire
A new fishing well we need
Only vultures belong here
This place is unquenchable
Maggots feast on human remains
Is it Hades? Is it Gehenna?
Our bellies are rotted
We exhale fire
We do not belong here
Not even dogs
Darkness permeates this place
Where is the peace
Where is the quite
Is it Hades? Is it Gehenna?
Men and women
Some old some young
Populate this dump
Skeletons erect
Skins on the ground
There is no water
People drink puss
Even though flesh burns
There is no ashes
Is it Hades? Is it Gehenna?
O God why are we here?
'It's the decisions you made'
Give us another chance
We'll even sing on the choir
Too bad
Too late
This is the lake of fire

Don't Forgive Him
Men of clan kill those they love for money,
Blood of brothers can't be cleanse
from their memory
Hades, get thee behind me!
Who knows when Christ is coming?
.
Faustus sold his soul for love of magic
And had them all to his means,
From scholarly, he went to trickery,
Who knows what else could it be?
.
Mephastophilis, dont you forgive him,
Your time at his service is finished
You kill him, you burn him
you slaughter him,
His soul you take with you to Hades
Till he realises there is no escape
from nemesis.
.
Oh ye who think Nigerians are fraudsters,
Never mind, go thee to Jamaica.
Till the day you realises no place is better,
Your life again won't be safer.

Mountain Top
I love to sing and I love to pray,
Worship the lord most every day.
I go to the temple, and I just want to stay
To hide from the hustle of the world and its ways.
And id
Love to live on a mountain top,
Fellowshipping with the lord.
Id love to stand on a mountain top,
cause I love to feel my spirit
Soar....
But Ive got to come down
>from the mountain top
To the people in the valley below;
Theyll never know
That they can go
To the mountain of the lord.
Now praising the father is a good thing to do,
To worship the trinity in spirit and truth.
But if we worshipped all of the time,
Well, there would be no one to lead the blind.
But id
Love to live on a mountain top,
Just fellowshipping with the lord.
And Id love to stand on a mountain top,
cause I love to feel my spirit
Soar.... (soar....)
But Ive got to come down
>from the mountain top
To the people in the valley below;
Theyll never know
That they can go
To the mountain of the lord.
I am not saying that worship is wrong,
But worship is more than just singin some songs,
cause its all that we say and everything that we do;
Its letting gods spirit live through you.
Still, id
Love to live on a mountain top
Fellowshipping with the lord.
Id love to stand on a mountain top,
cause I love to feel my spirit
Soar.... (soar....)

Take Me Not To Hades
When I die, please take
Me not to Hades
There is a place up there
I want to go.
In my past, I did things bad
Things that make me black
in my heart.
Please show me mercy
That mercy which caused
you to do it.
You did it for mankind
Don't let it pass me by.
It is atonement I seek,
May it be what I reap.
I deserve to die,
We all deserve to die.
But when I die, please
Take me not to Hades
This is my fear for ages.
It is there, up there
In my fathers home
I want to go.

Mountain Of Love
(downbeat, denny. denny. downbeat!)
(*laughter*)
(what? )
(get out of here!)
(oh, man!)
(oh, rock out!)
Standin on a mountain lookin down on a city
The way I feel is a doggone pity
Teardrops fallin down the mountainside
Many times Ive been here, many times Ive cried
We used to be so happy when we were in love
High on a mountain of love
Night after night Im a-standin here alone
Weepin out my heart (*laugh*) till the cold grey dawn
Prayin that youre lonely and youll come here too
Hopin just by chance that Ill get a glimpse of you
(oh yeah!)
Trying hard to find you somewhere up above
High on a mountain of love
The mountain of love, the mountain of love
You should be ashamed
You used to be a mountain of love
But you just changed your name
Way down below theres a half a million people
Somewhere theres a church with a big tall steeple
Inside the church, theres an altar filled with flowers
Wedding bells are ringin and they shouldve been ours
Thats why Im so handy, my dream is gone above
High on a mountain of love
([...])
(keep playin it like it is!)
([...])
Thats why Im so lonely, my dream is gone above
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
(what, honey? )
High on a mountain of love.
(hahahaha.)
Ooh baby...
(thats good.)
...one more time. oooh baby. oooooo.
(thats a good voice.)

Mountain Of Love
Open up your window
Open up your door
I need a taste of your sweet, sweet love
Thats all Im livin for
Ive been down on my luck
Down on my knees
Just waitin for a chance to show you baby
I only aim to please
Hey-hey-honey
Im out on the edge Im on the borderline
Hey little honey
You wont believe whats goin through my mind
Ill build a mountain of love
Everytime I think of you
A mountain of love
See it risin up, and all youve gotta do
Is get high on my mountain of love
There aint no use in pretendin
Cause Ive got my eyes on you
The first time that I saw you girl, I knew
Nobody else would do
Hey-hey-honey
Take a little trip, take a ride with me
Hey little honey
cause Ive got something youve just gotta see
Its a mountain of love
High enough to touch the sky
A mountain of love
Cant you feel it burnin up inside
Im gonna build a big mountain of love
Everytime I think of you
Youll feel a mountain of love
See it risin up, and all youve gotta do
Is get high on my mountain of love
Hey-hey-honey
Im out on the edge, Im on the borderline
Say little honey
Come with me and well climb, climb, climb.....

Don't Sympathize
Why I detest sympathy
It revives hurtful memories
Those days that are sad,
Let them go with my past.
Don't remind me of my misery
They are now my history
Those friends I have hurt
I am human, I was only wrong
Even Olympus knew no love
Zeus lived in sexual lust
Hera was too jealous
Prometheus should rule Olympus
Zeus should be chained
For goodness sake, let him wail
Tiresias should not be so blinded
Oedipus shouldn't have left
Lius should have abdicated
And his throne coveted,
The Sphinx shouldn't have
had a riddle
She should be a pawn in our fiddle.
These are histories
They shouldn't conflict with
our mysteries
They should be buried in
the tomb of Herodotus.
And today, I am glad we have a God
Who's world itself is love;
And we all know He's perfect in all.
In my life I had never been an epigone
But great men have inspired me
To them I will forever be grateful
And to my God, I'll be faithful.

Cream Of Love
I am a black mountain standing up high,
And you need me on this love;
Because, i will make you climb uo so high to see the world!
I am a black mountain and i have the right cream of love for you,
And you will see me better in the night than ever!
So come to this black mountain and see things for yourself.
Oh my sweet Princess, come for this cream of love;
For you are the most beautiful lady that i have ever met.
Come to this black mountain and let me visit your palace too,
For your dreams will always be in my sleep.
Come on top of this black mountain,
For it is very cold at night;
But i will warm you up with the sweet blanket of love.
Come my sweet Princess,
For you are the only one who really means much to me;
And i will keep the sweet cream of love for you only.

Go, Tell It On The Mountain
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
When I was just a learner
I sought by night and day
To have the good lord help me
To guide me on my way
For I am like a shepherd
My hopes and faith to guard
Each day I find the answer
And love is my reward
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
The shepherds kept their watching
Oer silent flocks by night
When lo! throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light
The shepherds feared and trembled
When high above the earth
Rang out an angels chorus
To hail our saviors birth
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Our jesus, jesus christ is born
That jesus christ is born
Go and tell, tell it on the mountain
That jesus christ, christ is born

He Did Not Want His Daughter To Dance With Me
Love is but a shadow
The shades in Hades
Seeks to be redeemed
But the ever watchful
Eyes of Cerberus is ever ready
Who could escape his ferocity?
I had never asked to be in love
Or in turn be loved by this
girl I saw,
But Eros had struck me a arrow,
I could feel its sting deep down
my marrow,
And my love had turned into
something more of a sorrow.
Love should be reciprocal
No one should break a heart,
In love with me your daughter
had been,
If you really love her, you should
let her be.

Take The Water To The Mountain
Take the water to the mountain;
Take the river to the sea.
Let the forest be salvation
Long before it needs to be.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let your body flow upstream.
Let it cascade off your shoulders;
Be the body of your dreams.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let the sun shine on your ground.
You decide your every movement;
Let the water to the land.
Take the water to the mountain;
Cross the great divide of love.
Give to nature all you can give;
Let the mother know your heart.
Take the water to the mountain;
Lets become alive again.
Holy water, holy mountain,
Holy river, holy tree.

King Of The Mountain
Come on
Im gonna climb the mountain
Im gonna hit the top
I wanna go where nobodys ever been
Im never gonna stop
Im gonna reign, Im gonna shine
Im gonna beat the ground
Im gonna shoot through the night like a shot gun
Im gonna get on down, I wanna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Listen, dont try to save my soul from destruction
Im never gonna fall
Dont try to give me a piece of the action
Im gonna take it all
All the kings horses, all the kings men
Were gettin crazy again and again
Make up your mind, its time we get goin
Were gonna get on down, were gonna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Yeah, now
Oh, yeah, king of the mountain
Say it, king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain, yeah
Im the king of the mountain
And the winner takes it all, lets go, lets go, lets go

Mountain Woman
They lived together in a dirty old shack
At the edge of the black rocky mountain
And they drank mountain dew and they lived on the food
That they grew at the side of the mountain
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] down the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Mountain woman couldnt read nor write
But she knew good from evil, she know wrong from right
When the government tried to buy her water rights
Her intuition was her only guide
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] by the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Were uneducated by were happy
The civil servant used compulsory purchase
To acquire the [? ] for the nation
Theyll dig up the land, theyre gonna make a dam
And build a hydroelectric power station
And now she lives on the 33rd floor
Of a man-made concrete mountain
She got an elevator and refrigerator
And an automobile to run around in
Fast talkin lawyers from the government
Went and beat proud mountain woman down
Hey mountain woman, take your mountain man
They took your land and flood your valley
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Theyre uneducated by theyre happy

My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy
From a shack by a mountain stream
To a room in new orleans
So far from my blue ridge mountain home
The men I meet aint warm and friendly
Like the one in old virginie
Oh they aint real like my blue ridge mountain boy
I was just a little past eighteen
When I came to new orleans
Id never been beyond my home state line
There was a boy who loved me dearly
But I broke his heart severely
When I left my blue ridge mountain boy
Life was dull in my hometown
Lights were out when the sun went down
And I thought that city life was more my style
But nights get lonely away from home
And its easy to go wrong
The men aint kind like my blue ridge mountain boy
New orleans held things in store
Things Id never bargained for
And every night a different man knocks on my door
But late at night when all is still
I can hear a whippoorwill
As I cry for my blue ridge mountain boy
Oh but I can never go back home
Since the boy I love is gone
He grew tired of waiting for me to return
They say he married last october
But I never will get over
Oh the sweet love of my blue ridge mountain boy
Blue ridge mountain boy

Bluebirds Over The Mountain
Bluebirds over the mountain
Seagulls over the sea-ea-ea
Bluebirds over the mountain
Bring my baby to me
A boy and a girl they once found love
To each it seemed like heaven above
He looked into her eyes and said
Ooo wee baby youre so good for my head
Bluebirds over the mountain
Seagulls over the sea-ea-ea
Bluebirds over the mountain
Bring my baby to me
Oh everyone in every land
Please give me a helping hand
If you see her all alone
Oh tell my baby wont you please come home?
Bluebirds over the mountain
Seagulls over the sea-ea-ea
Bluebirds over the mountain
Bring my baby to me
Oh bring my baby back
I dont know why shes been so long
But all I know is that shes gone
Oh bring my baby back to me
Well Im in pain cant you see
A boy and a girl they once found love
To each it seemed like heaven above
I guess thats why we fell in love
And now shes gone and all I have to say is
Bluebirds over the mountain
Seagulls over the sea yeah
Bluebirds over the mountain
Bring my baby to me
Bring my baby
Oooo baby
Oooo oooo oooo oooo

River Deep, Mountain High
When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
Only doll Ive ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown
And it gets stronger, in every way
And it gets deeper, let me say
And it gets higher, day by day
And do I love you my oh my
Yeh river deep mountain high
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby
When you were a young boy
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around
Well Im gonna be as faithful as that puppy
No Ill never let you down
Cause it grows stronger, like a river flows
And it gets bigger baby, and heaven knows
And it gets sweeter baby, as it grows
And do I love you my oh my
Yeh river deep, mountain high
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby
I love you baby like a flower loves the spring
And I love you baby just like tina loves to sing
And I love you baby like a school boy loves his pet
And I love you baby, river deep mountain high
Oh yeah youve gotta believe me
River deep, mountain high
Do I love you my oh my, oh baby
River deep, mountain high
If I lost you would I cry
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby
