Why I love Poetry
Listen, fellow poets
And you will see
You would agree
Why I love poetry
It gave me entry
Into my world of uncertainty
And gave me voice
To say what I see
And this is what I See;
I see many reaching for me
I see you want to change me
Many want to change the world
But do we need the rod?

Change The World
Imagine a place only your soul can vision
The heart of a child who looks, sees, and listens
Paints a picture using every color
And what she sees she sees it like no other
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
The art of innocence makes so much sense
Of a place there no wrong has well then it's wasted
Filtered through the eyes of a pure mind
A one of a kind, paradise for you and I, you and I
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
Break the cycle, find your rhythm
Share the gift that you've been given - Love
You can, You can Change The World
You can Change The World with love
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen

If I Had You
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
You by my side
You by my side
(Ooh, ooh)
The other day I saw you walkin' (ooh)
You looked as pretty as a peach
You seemed so near
And yet somehow you're out of my reach (out of my reach)
If I had you I'd have the power (I'd have the power)
To do most anything I choose (whatever you wanted)
Oh, oh, oh, I would not care
Sometimes I'd win (you win, you win)
Sometimes (sometimes) I'd lose, oh, wee
I could change the world [if I could change the world]
If I had you [by my side]
I could change the world [if I could change the world]
If I had you (by my side, yeah)
My momma told me not to worry (I don't cheating)
She said "It'll all come to those who wait"
(Come to you and you won't be wait)
But as I wait, I feel, oh, no
That it's much too late
That's why (never too late, baby)
I could change the world [if I could change the world]
(Change the world)
If I had you (ooh, you, if I had you)
I could change the world [if I could change the world]
(If I could change the world)
If I had you (only you) by my side (yeah) by my side
If I could change the world
(If I had youooh)
If I could change the world (ooh)
(I could change the world)
Oh, yeah
I could change the world [if I could change the world]
If I had you (just me and you, just me and you, baby, yeah) [by my side]
I (ooh, ooh) could change the world [if I could change the world]
(Whatever you wanted)
If I had you (oh, yeah, if I had you) oh, yeah
I could change the world (oh)
If I had you (if I had you)
I could change the world (never, never too late now, no, no)
If I had you, oh, yeah
I (oh, yeah, yeah) could change the world
(I could change the world, I could change the world)
If I had you (if I only, if I only)
I could change the world
(I could change the world, I could change the world)
If I had you (by my side, oh, yeah) [yeah]
I could change the world
[Oh, you, whatever you need, I gave what you need]
(I could change the world)
If I had you
I could change the world
(I could change the world) [could change the world, yeah, yeah]
If I had you (if I get you) [oh, yeah, yeah]
I [ooh, ooh] could change the world (I could change the world)
If I had you (if I had, if I get you)

Love Can Change The World
Love has no definition.
There is no explanation or reason.
It's just an opinion.
One opinion may not change the world,
But it can change one person.
Sometimes when one person has an opinion
Others listen
And many are influenced by that one person.
One opinion can't change the world.
But one person-one man DID.
With love Jesus gave himself
For humanity's shortcomings.
The world felt the power of one person.
Love CAN change the world
If we let it.

Across The Universe
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as they slip away
Across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind
Possessing and caressing me
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on
Across the universe
Thoughts meander like the restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way
Across the universe
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Sounds of laughter, shades of life are ringing through my open ears
Inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love, which shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on and on
Across the universe
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothing
Nothing
Nothing
Nothings gonna
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothing
Nothing
Nothing
Nothings gonna
Noth, nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change it
Nothings gonna change it
Hey yeah, nothings gonna change it
Nothings gonna change it
Nothings gonna change it
Nothings gonna change it
Nothings gonna change my world
Nothings gonna change it (nothings gonna change it)
Nothings gonna change it (no no no no no)
Nothings gonna change my world (nothings gonna change my world)

Change The World, Change Me!
change the world, change me!
the revolution reaches autumn.
the wings of my dreams join the birds,
preparing to fly south.
the fireflies of my passion,
lay down the final gauntlet.
i let go of my thoughts,
and listen, just listen!
we walk a thousand miles,
to become seed and dirt.
the world that was distant,
now the sweat on my brow.
for i am the world...
change me, change the world!

We Are Here To Change The World
(from captain eo)
Were on a mission
In the everlasting light that shines
A revelation
Of the truth in chapters of our minds
So long, bad times
Were gonna shake it up and break it up
Were sharing light brighter than the sun
Hello , good times
Were here to simulate, eliminate
An congregate, illuminate
(we are here to change the world)
Gonna change the world, hee
(we are here to change the world)
Gonna change the world, ooo
So do surrender
cause the powers deep inside my soul
Sing it
(we are here to change the world)
Gonna change the world, sing it
(we are here to change the world)
Hee, gonna change the world, ooo
(we are here to change the world)
Were gonna change the world, girl
(we are here to change the world)
My brothers my brother na
Were gonna change the world
(we are here to change the world)
Hee, deep down in my body,
Deep down in my soul, baby
(we are here to change the world)
Hee, were gonna change the world,
Ooo

Listen
Whats it like to play a part?
Whats it like to have a wooden heart?
Every word you say is so rehearsed
You think your clothes and actions control the universe
Listen, what youd better do
Listen, better change your head
Listen, or theres nothing we can do
Listen to the one who will change your world
Youre the face upon a playing card
A coloured painted cold visage
[youre] just a pawn of somebody somewhere
Only trouble is youre gonna get no-where
Listen, what youd better do
Listen, better change your head
Listen, or theres nothing we can do
Listen to the one who will change your world
Whats it like to play a part?
[you] got a wooden heart
[youre] just a puppet on a string
A nothing, a no-one, no style
[you] just play a part
[youre] just a pawn of someone somewhere
And youll get no-where
Listen what youd better do
Listen, better change your head
Listen, or theres nothing we can do
Listen to the one who will change your world
Gonna change your world
Gonna change your world

Change! Change! Change!
change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.
change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...
change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!
loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....
but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

Change The World
By tommy sims, gordon kenney and wayne kirkpatrick
If I can reach the stars,
Pull one down for you,
Shine it on my heart
So you could see the truth:
That this love I have inside
Is everything it seems.
But for now I find
Its only in my dreams.
And I can change the world,
I will be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.
And if I could be king,
Even for a day,
Id take you as my queen;
Id have it no other way.
And our love would rule
This kingdom we had made.
Till then Id be a fool,
Wishing for the day...
That I can change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.
I could change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.

I’ll Change My Name
I give you thanks all my people
Congratulations,
For helping change my name
Which initials would not be known to our ancestors.
I’ll change my mother tongue and modify my Alma-matter
I’ll change my voice so you would no longer recognize my songs
I’ll cut all the favorable crops in the farm and plant in it new ones
Just like the frog, I’ll bathe in waters
In order to differ from the toad.
All because I’ll change my name
Which initials would not be known to our ancestors.
I write this to you all my people
That ignorance deserted me from my own land
And I’ll come back no more
I gave it in worlds that you could understand
In parables I left it with others that they would also understand
And tell the ancestors that
I’ll change my name which initials would not be known to them
Tell me if the ancestors are still alive,
Lying there and see you helped me change my name
Tell me if they have lost their eyes and years
That they can’t see and hear
If so, then my people, you those
Whose fire woods have reached your head load
Go and tell them, I say
I’ll change my name which initials would not be known to them.
Once men could now see and hear
That I’ll change my name;
Today that I’m felt with the muse of poetry
In my shabby cloths
I gave it out in words and parables
That you helped me change my name.
Thanks,
Thank you all my people
Congratulations,
Tell them and more handsome rewards from heavens
If not too far from you
Just because you helped me change my name
Which initials would not be known to our ancestors
But still, I’ll change my name.

Angela
Sister, theres a wind that never dies
Sister, were breathing together
Sister, our love and hopes forever keep on moving oh so slowly in the world
They gave you sunshine
They gave you sea
They gave you everything but the jailhouse key
They gave you coffee
They gave you tea
They gave you everything but equality
Angela, can you hear the earth is turning?
Angela, the world watches you
Angela, you soon will be returning to your sisters and brothers in the world
Sister, youre still a people teacher
Sister, your word reaches far
Sister, theres a million different races but we all share the same future in the world
They gave you sunshine
They gave you sea
They gave you everything but the jailhouse key
They gave you coffee
They gave you tea
They gave you everything but equality
Angela, they put you in prison
Angela, they shot down your man
Angela, youre one of the millions of political prisoners in the world

Our Love Will Never Change
The world will change
But it’s happiness won’t change.
The people will change
But their smiles won’t change.
The seasons will change
But their beauty won’t change.
The days will change
But the sun and moon won’t change.
Just like the color of the pretty sky and snow
Our love will never ever change.
Wanna Make A Change In The World
This is something.
Something I've wanted to do,
for such a long time.
I wanna make a change.
A change in the world.
Through the words of my poetry.
Just knowing that I could,
make a change in the world,
in a person life,
would just mean the world to me.
It's something I've always wanted to do.
Something I need to do.
I will not give up.
For I wanna make a change.
A change in this world.

Change in Me
Why I need change?
for better or for the worst?
Any choices to change or not?
I need change when
There is an opportunity to grow and mature
Things being done the wrong way
Dealing with a world of change
I rediscover change
Change is the law of life
Those who look only
to the past or the present
Are certain to miss the future
I may change anything I want or don't want
But I can't change everything I want
My dilemma is
I hate change and
love it at the same time
Best of all
What I want is
For things to remain the same
but get better.
Lastly,
I need strong courage to change,
To master change;
Be the master of change.
Always I want change,
To get where I want to be,
Be the change I want to have.

A Changer Change
A change we need
A change I believe in
A change starting with me
A change starting with you
A change capable of changing the old rules
That change will modify
Our messed up world
If we believe in it
And start acting
On the little we can afford
To impact in it
That change is
Our real chance to grow,
That change is
Our quest to right all wrongs,
That change is
Our ability to stand united
And face our problems
That change is our opportunity
To prove critics wrong
That change is our legendary
For unborn generations
That change is us
Together we’ll better our world
Together we can,
Yes we can!

Change The World
(hendrix, parrish, pilson)
If we could change the world
It wouldnt change their minds
We could turn back to good
But we cant turn back time
Weve got to show them all
A world thats filled with hate and greed
Wont last for very long
Its love that we all need
Weve got to change the world now
Before we run out of time
Weve got to change the world
But we mst learn to walk
Before we learn to fly
Weve been through this before
About a million times
You cant turn back to ice
There is no compromise
Weve got to change the world now
Before we run out of time
Weve got to change to the world
But we must learn to walk
Before we learn to fly
1991 marked the year of the end of the era of communism in the soviet union.
The voices of the people were heard
The berlin wall was brought down
The people made the change
We can change the world
Weve got to change the world now
Before we run out of time
Weve got to change the world
But we must learn to walk
Before we learn to fly
If we could change the world
If we could change the world
(repeat)

Change The World (demo 1)
We can change the world...
The difference is in the way...
The difference is in the way we are as people
The difference is the sum of what we are
So look at the things that join us together
And take away the things that pull us apart
Ooh, we can change the world...
The light that draws us through the tunnel of perception
Is brighter than the light
That makes us shield our eyes
Just believe in the idea and its purity
No need to question its source,
No need for lies
Ooh, we can change the world...
Love of my life, we can change the world...
We can change...
Changes...
The magnetism
That you feel inside
Draws you closer
To the heart of the matter
And the wisdom
That you see outside
Is only a mattter
Of learning
And forgetting
Ooh, we can change the world...
Love of my life, we can change the world...

Wake Up To A Call
The problem we have in the world is ourselves!
So let us change ourselves to a very positive way;
And be ready to listen to the deep voice inside us.
Wake up to a call and care for the people around you,
For there is no drama in true love!
And be ready to listen to the deep voice inside you.
Patriotism and selflessness,
Always do change yourselves for the better;
And do look up for the responsibilities around you,
For Rome was not built in a day.
