This Mind of Mine
My mind lives in a place all its own,
a place that's mostly quiet.
But there are times when all that silence
erupts into a riot.
It houses so many thoughts each day,
but I don't complain.
It's home to so many melodies
and many a refrain.
Too hard to keep orderly, tidy and neat,
clutter often abounds.
As I try to clear it out I find
the disorder stays around.
But somehow I've managed to disregard it.
There's a nook and cranny inside.
That's the place where I'm comfortable
and all my words reside.

East Coast Anthem
Walkin on the streets of D.C.
on the east coast where i live
they say "whats the problem
whats with this crazy kid"
you dont like the way i walk
or the way i talk
or the way i swing my hands
you dont like the words i speak or the thought i think
and i know you'll never understand
but you know...
on the east coast we ride until we die
you know
cuz theres a place inside my mind
yeah a place you'll never find
theres a place inside my mind
we'll see today
and theres a place inside my mind
yeah a place you'll never find
theres a place inside my mind
where we'll meet today
you know...
and wouldnt it be perfect
if i could stay with you and we could
change a thing or two
we'd change a thing or two
we would change the way you think
we would change the way i think
we would change the way they think
but we're not changin anything
you know...
on the east coast we ride until we die
you know
theres a place inside my mind
yeah a place you'll never find
theres a place inside
you'll see today
theres a place inside my mind
yeah a place you'll never find
theres a place inside my mind
you'll meet today

Nobody's Home
Well I couldn't tell you why she felt that
way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes
again.
What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she
belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
Open your eyes and look outside, find the
reasons why.
You've been rejected, and now you can't
find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she
belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.
She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
She's lost inside, lost inside...

Keeping Things Inside The Heart
to keep the balance of what we think and what we do
we keep some things inside our heart
there is a home for all the doubts
there is a place proper for certainties
groping for stability of this little universe of the mind
we must only say what is needed
the rest are useless as they do not serve any purpose at all
what use are the angry words? those unkind letters?
somehow we must have a place to stay to keep us sane
to make our defenses against those that invade us
the tide of their opinions, the storms of their abstractions
we keep an anchor
we must disregard all the other tempting possibilities
they after all do not exist yet
we do not mind anymore what destroys us
we all throw the demons away
we keep the angels
we stay in the comfort of our heavens
in our silence we take this journey
love and mercy, we are together always.

This Poetry
this poetry is a hiding place
the only nook left for me
running away from
every creature of the
party,
i take my time
and i do not really mind
what i write
whether i rhyme
this is another monologue
something i keep saying to myself
how can i like this and that
how can i tell you
about what i want to say to you?
there is no way
no place no society
there is no other entrance
or exit
from these tangles and
strangles
it is strange i mumble
i scramble and dabble
talking to myself
and pleasing myself
this is my corner
i keep talking and talking
you watch the tv series
you cry alone and i do not mind
if tears flood in this room
this is my place this is my silence
this is the poetry of escapism
i assume the shape of the bird's wing
i keep on flying without having to find any place
any island any sea any shore
the words keep coming, they do not go anywhere
anyway, that is how it is intended to be
nothing for nothing
talking and talking
somewhere everywhere
alone and everybody
the rain pours heavily on me
no one gets wet no one runs for shelter
no one really cares

Home
Home alone
A place to be on
Where to find me on phone
I'll be seated by the stone
Home for long
A place to go strong
Where to find me no wrong
I'll be waiting a knock at gong
Home for good
A place to get food
Where to find no trace of rude
I'll be relaxed to manage my mood
_
Home my home
A place to avoid life storm
Where smiles 're always worm
I'll be chatting with brother Tom
Home my fame
A place to hold my name
Where my title find its stem
I'll be standing to rub my shame
Home of peace
A place that none tease
Where respect never miss
I'll be holding your forehead for a kiss
Home best refuge
A place we no grudge
Where care has no judge
I'll be having meals by the fridge
Home is sweetest
A place without evil test
Where, West from East
I'll sing, Home remain the best

The Silence That Lives On
I'm sitting in the corner nowhere to run
Here comes the silence, there goes the fun
Trying to put the pieces back together
Knowing that the silence will live on forever
Trapped inside with my deepest fears
The silence is so strong voices are not clear
Hard to fight my way out of this place
Wanting to leave the silence without a trace
All the bad things go away and be gone
For I am left with the silence that lives on

To Quiet... To Hold On
Each life needs
It’s own quiet place
Each life needs
To savor joy’s taste
A place where time stops
But for a moment worry is gone
Each life needs to quiet...
To hold on
Floating with the grace
Of the resting fawn
Each life needs to quiet...
To go on
Each life needs
A quiet place where tears can dropp
Where life’s eddies of trouble
Spinning downward
To be changed into joy
Foaming joy, floats to the top
Expanding like bubbles
Beginning to pop
Each life needs to quiet...
To bring their best to the top
It’s where all thoughts come together
Making the connections
In my heart and mind
I travel to this place by reflection
In this quiet place letting go
Can cause tears quite a bit
But like a river
Joy flows right through it
(Inspired by the memory of a weekend stay at the Cascade River after returning from the service.)

Anyone
Anyone stays at a place
where he feels comfortable
or find no place to stay
and anyone chooses a mate,
if he wants to or can
and someone stays alone.
For the beautiful and the ugly,
little and small
and for the aged and the young
and for anyone,
the same sun and moon and stars shine
and the same seasons past.
Anyone works and sleep
and laughs and cry
and play and fight,
till the sun’s last rays
touch a life.

You're Always On My Mind
There's a place where you will always be
in my memory.
And all the days I get to live
I will find you there.
There's a place I always see
that lives inside of me
and everywhere that I go
I can find you there.
I close my eyes and picture you
and watch you come alive.
I think of all the times we've shared
and know how I survive
every single ache that comes
that tears my heart apart.
All I have to do is picture you
and the ache starts to depart.
For you have made my life complete.
You did it from day one.
You make me feel the wonders of life
that warm me like the sun.
For all the places where I'd go
are not enough for me.
They'd simply be too empty
without you there with me.
So if I want to feel like this
forever and a day
I'll keep you in my memory
and always find a way
to hold on to the times that are just ours
and keep them in my mind.
For the love that I have shared with you
is the kind that's hard to find.

Between our dreams and then our lives.
There's a little place that lies
Between our dreams and then our lives
Its a place where we should always spend some time.
Its the place where lovers meet
Its the place that on the street
Separates me from simply what is mine.
Its the place where bank accounts
And concerns about amounts
Take second place to what it is that matters.
Its sometimes hidden in the mind
But its there for us to find
If we will only just stop idle chatter.
It's a place that is our own
It's been with us while we've grown
It's the inner peace within the outer wrapping.
It's not taught to you at school
And doesn't follow any rules
It's the soul we have and without which we're lacking.

The Place
There is a place
In my heart that still dances
A place in my soul that sings
- And sings, and dances and dances -
A place so deep, so set
A place that even the mundane drudgery
The routine day-to-day
Can not kill
A place so close, so distant
A place that was, and is yet to come
A place where belief originates and lives
The birth place of
The most human humanity
The most divine divinity
A place where
Majesty, mystery and magic still speak
A place of all origins.
Some will not hear it any longer.
But, I still listen...
Waiting... hoping... trusting...believing...
The Place... is real.
It's way out there - it's everywhere...
It is ever within.
This Place... is my place.
It has called to me by name
Since the day of birth,
It's name is simple and profound;
I call him
Jesus.
He calls me
'My child.'
It's to him we go.
It's for us he came.
He is where I belong.
I am always on the Way
To the Place
Where he is.
The Place... home.

Homeless in a House
I ask you simply, what is home?
A place where kindred people come?
A space where residents reside?
What makes a home a home inside?
I ask you now, is home a house?
Can people buy homes with their spouse?
In houses can a family be
together for eternity?
I say to you, it is not so!
A home is where a man will go
to seek his flames of strife to douse.
A home he seeks, and not a house.
Inside a home a man has love:
From here below, and from above.
At home, he'll be with family
for time and all eternity.

Lost
(1/21/12)
I was lost in a world of my own
Traveling through the valleys of my mind
Where there was only space and no time.
A place where minds go to be free
And musicians playing in harmony.
Where voices of the best singers
Would gather around and put
Together the greatest sounds.
A place where you can be yourself
And not have to listen to anyone else.
A place where you can be lost in
the thoughts of your mind
And be there till the ends of your time
A place of imaginations and dreams
And of places seen and unseen.
Everyone no matter who they may be
Has been in this place of mystery.
We start off when we’re very young
A place that we go to have some fun.
Then as we get into our teenage years
We start to travel more and lose our fears.
We start to visualize what we would
Like to be, set our goals, and set
Our hearts and minds free.
Our hearts and spirit so clear and bright
Which turns our darkness into light.
All we see is the clear path ahead
Where so many before have tread.
So allow yourself to get lost in
The caverns of your mind
You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find.

Home Sweet Home
I need a home
A place that I can breathe away
No need too big, no need too small
Home that's not just a house
A place where I can live peacefully
Away from the storm, away from the rain
Home that warm without lighting the fire
A place where I don't feel lonely
The greatest place, the highest place
That could be in my dream
Please God help to find

No Name
I want to go home.
To a place where I can go.
But no one is home.
I'm stuck out in the cold.
There is no one to dry my eyes.
I cant find my place in this world.
I'm staring loose my faith.
This pain is just to real.
I turned around and ran.
To a place where I can get help.
But there is no one there to.
Is there any place where I can go?
Is there anyone who can help me?
But there is no place where I can go.
And no one is listening to me.

In Daydreams
In daydreams, I seek
a place where I have been
and wish I could have stayed.
A place where the air was clean
and not affected by pollution,
a place where in quiet times there
no heads of confusion fret.
A place where friends sheltered you
with cloaks of love and care.
A place where at sunset
everything felt at peace
to trampling troubles
or stabbing fingers.
Just a place where tranquillity lay
in daydreams I wish
once more to be there.

Goodbye
Album: One-Armed Bandit
Track: 11
Here by I return your love
I just wonna give it back
I am fading
The silence can be beautiful but also very cold
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
Cause one thing I know
Somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
goodbye
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
goodbye
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
The choises can be hard to make
Is it luck or is it love
I am waiting
I'm waiting for the voice inside me to tell me what I'm not
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
Cause one thing I know
Somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
Goodbye
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong
Goodbye
But somewhere out there there's a place where I belong

Before The Beginning
Written by peter green.
So many nights I lay awake
Cant sleep
I lay here thinkin bout a woman
I used to love
Cant sleep but no good to count sheep
Ill just count the worries
That Ive got plenty of
And how many times
Must I be the fool
Before I can make it
Oh make it on home
Ive got to find a place to sing my words
Is there nobody listening to my song?
You talk about a life
Been searching for the key
But cant find an answer
To comfort me
I ask myself about love
Cant even find the door
To take me to a place
Ive never seen before
But how many times
Must I be the fool
Before I can make it
Oh make it on home
Ive got to find a place to sing my words
Is there nobody listening to my song?

Belmore Place
The corner of my street
Too many miles, too tired to sleep
On a plane of dreams and sunbeams
Coming home to belmore place
Fireside flickered lights
A brighter sign of winter pines
I live it up somewhere youll find
Im living up on belmore place
The corner of my dreams
So many thoughts, they sit too deep
On a train I travel on my memories
Coming home to belmore place
Fireside flickered lights
A brighter sign of winter pines
I live it up somewhere youll find
Im living up on belmore place
In the slumber of my sleep
So many thoughts they cover me
A sweet lullaby of melodies
Carried home to belmore place
Fireside flickered lights
A brighter sign of winter pines
I live it up somewhere youll find
Im living up on belmore place
