The Need To Write
There's not one day that I let slip away
without my pen having something to say.
I feel it. I say it. I let it come out,
whatever it is, whatever it's about.
Laughter, pain and really deep thought
gives way to emotions that seem to be caught
in a spidery web that weaves its way
into silky distractions that interplay.
So when I settle my exhaustive brain
I'm amazed that I'm still able to remain
anxious to write again tomorrow
on topics of happiness, grief and sorrow.
Where it will take me I don't know.
They seem to be endless even though
I know someday my ink will run dry.
And on that day my thoughts will die.

Ruins
My heart - do not ask me
Where love is,
It may have been a river of compassion, and it dried.
It may have been a castle of imagination, and it collapsed.
It may have been a history of a never-ending grief.
Oh heart!
Never forget when you tempted me
With sweet emotions -
That saved me,
Like an extended hand
Through raging waves,
Saving the drowned.
Let us drink upon its ruins
As long as the tears keep flowing,
And fly above its remains
As a bird chanting his pain.
Someday,
Our tears may refill the river,
Our pain may rebuild the castle,
And,
Our future may be grief-free.

Thinking
I think and think
and every single thought
comes into my mind
as if it were caught
in a spidery web
that sticks like glue
until that thought
is finally through.
Some thoughts are happy
and they are most welcome.
Some thoughts are sad
and then I'm overrun
with tears that fill my eyes
like a pool.
I cry out these thoughts,
my number one rule.
For to hold back my tears
and not let them flow
would drown my thinking
and where would they go?
Into a whirlpool
that circles around
making my demeanor
take me down?
No, I say.
Pick up your pen.
Write those thoughts
and say amen.
Read them aloud
for they're now on a page,
not trapped in my mind
like a bird in a cage.
Freedom, freedom
my mind is free.
Oh how rewarding
that can be.
Enjoy it I say
for it won't last long
for I think and I think
as my life moves along.

Between Pain And Happiness....
there is always that pain
that instigates you to write
the one where there is no cure
although many are telling that
you have become one impossible
piss off,
you leave the place,
take a boat and settle in an
island where
you can talk to the moon
you do not sleep
because you can't and the
moon is one avid
listener of your woes
it does not talk of course
and then faces away
like a hand that caresses
your hair and then
you feel that faithful warmth
that makes you write some
more on the muddy part
of the shore
tomorrow you find yourself
asleep on a house without
doors
the winds who understand
you perfectly
are there to massage
the pain of your
thoughts
at noon happiness comes
you do not know its name and
from where it comes from
it waits for your commands
but you are silent
you have learned to love pain
because it is more beautiful
than the one that comes so
seldom to visit and listen
to you
in fact it has no body
it has no soul
it is not wearing a sign
that it is real.

All from brain
Pleasure or pain
Is born out of brain.
Grief or ecstasy,
Tears or laughter,
Joy or sorrow,
Anger or mercy
Or any kind of emotion
Is the product of brain.
Where is mind, where is heart?

Me and Laughter Together Always
Sometimes I laugh out loud
Showing you that I could care less what you have to say
All that matters is that my feelings are hidden
Hiding from those who judge me and those who love me
And Laughter helps me do just that
Laughter is my better half
Laughter stands with me when I’m bored
Laughter comforts me when I want to cry
He keeps me company through grief and through happiness
For better or worse, in sickness and health, through thick and thin
I love Laughter and Laughter loves me back
And yet you don’t know why Laughter makes Me
Look deep into my eyes when I laugh and you’ll see
You will find all the hate, all the pain, and all the hurt
But if that’s all you see
You’re not looking deep enough
Look past the tears that I won’t allow to flow
Look past the memories that I can’t let go of
And when you see through all the hate, all the pain and all the hurt
You'll find Me
I cover Me up with Laughter
There are none who can see the true Me
They can’t see through my Laughter
And if you should happen to see Me
I won’t need Laughter to hide anymore
Because I can cry on your shoulder
I can smile and enjoy you company without a single sound
Only then, Laughter won’t be my protector
Until then, it’s Me and Laughter together always
I hide my feelings through Laughter
So if you’re trying to figure out what I’m thinking,
Laugh with me and you will then see...-Me

Slip Away Today
You jark back your hand away from mine and I move my lips away from yours
Then quietly we sit tryin' to forget
Those deep running thoughts that run wild across our minds
You quickly stop the words you start to say and we realize just how close we are
And we both know if we let ourselves go we'll do something we'll be sorry for
Slip away today means sorrow tomorrow
It's love we know but we can't keep but yet we like to borrow
Trying to hold back emotions and desires
It's hard to keep from doing something we'll be sorry for
[ ac.guitar ]
My love hungry heart begs for more of what your lips hold in store
But our conscience just won't let us at least tonight it kept us
From jumpin' off the deep end and going too far
But one of these night you and I will be ruled by the passion of our hearts
And we both know if we let ourselves go and do something that we'll be sorry for
Slip away today means...
It's hard to keep from doing something we'll be sorry for

Dear Sorrow, Death Awaits Your Acquaintance
The rain keeps Falling
And the Pain goes on
Your name I try calling
But the words just pass on by
The air
Bitter and cold
The shivers now suddenly unfold
I start to lose my breath
And once again see death
Face to Face we see
That life for me, isn't supposed to be
'She is Not important,
Shes lost in the shadows..
Drowning in grief and pain
There will be no tomorrow,
For she is all Sorrow'
'She is all sorrow'
There shall be no Tomorrow for Dear Sweet Sorrow.
Sorrow, Sorrow In the air
Death Has come so stay prepared.

Street Of No Tomorrow
On the street of sorrow
the street with no tomorrow
the fires of rage and hate
burn deep inside,
a flame that never dies
Sadness and happiness
are the same to the people
who remain strangers
in this street of pain
Nobody caring
everybody just keeps on walking
nobody wants to know the people
on the street of no tomorrow
Always remember
there but for the grace of god
it could be you

Letter of Commiseration
“I’m writing to say.”
“I decided to write.”
I found beginning the difficult thing. (Remember not to commentate.)
How do I say I cried when I heard the news? That my body heaved with crashing sobs?
Some things words cannot contain. The need I felt to tell you that I hurt too. And instead
I work a polished screed of clichés and craft.
You will scan my words, wondering why I wrote at all. Why break my silence to say so little?
I picture myself stood apart from the mourners, wanting to be a witness to grief.
But I walk alone in Marble Hill Park and the flowers are funereal.
“Best wishes.”
“In my thoughts and prayers.”
“Condolences” (I ask you)
And the time it took to produce two sides of spidery writing.
I almost did not send it. I hoped the thought would count. Count for once.
It ought to have been an elegy, a song of praise.
But it was only an advertisement for my emotions.
“Hope you write soon.”
“Call me if you want to talk.”

Habla Me, The Gipsy King
tell me
what is it that bothers you?
why you wake up at 2
in the morning
and write a poem
that you keep to yourself?
why you keep all those emotions
inside you?
what is the color of your sorrow?
what is the sound of your happiness?
tell me
why until now you still hide in the shadows
of your being?
tell me now
because tomorrow i am leaving.

Parting
They say parting is such sweet sorrow.
I say it is the death of tomorrow.
For all the tomorrows can only be
endless time for you and me.
And endless time is a chasm of space,
to hard to endure, too hard to face.
What can replace what was so sweet?
How can one ever feel complete?
You think and think and ask God why?
But no answers come as time goes by.
As the time passes there's another tomorrow
and that tomorrow is filled with sorrow.
The sorrow is filled with the missing part
that kept alive your racing heart.
Parting can never be sweet sorrow.
All it can be is a lonely tomorrow.

Happiness is irrelevant
Happiness is talk

Life is waterfalls and irrelevance!

Life is waiting
Life is post-modernism
Loneliness is too much

My Caring Wife
You are who you are and as I have often said
you're blessed with the ability to think ahead.
And God has also given you a caring heart
a place in which such deep emotions take their part.
So many forms of emotion flow out of you
as you show such joy and laughter and sorrow too.
Your sensitivity can sometimes make you cry
and it is because you feel deeply that you sigh.
Signs of pain and sadness you so often reveal
when grieving for others and their heartache you feel.
As you reach out to them with your loving embrace
tears of sorrow and empathy flow down your face.
Like Poo Bear you hum tunes as on your way you go
determined to others your friendliness to show.
When chuckling and laughing your lovely beaming face
glows with love as your grand children you embrace.
My love, you are so full of laughter and such joy
when in the company of those whom you enjoy.
Unconditional affection to all you share
and I praise God for your deep love and tender care.
Show thongs, expended are leaf briefs for play after Francis Thompson Go, songs, for ended is our brief, sweet play
Show thongs, expended are leaf briefs for play,
go! strong needs seed swift joy though panties sorrow:
and some were wrung, but that was yesterday,
some seem unstrung, yet that may be tomorrow.
Go forth; South, North, East, West, best feast away,
old ploy's godsend when cash strapped grief must borrow,
seduction sweet held good for yesterday,
now Time flits fleet, boob jobs are bought with sorrow.
Show throngs befriended, topless interplay,
all men may ask you why you smile not sorrow,
fall guys believe in Cupid's bow display,
tell wise guys 'smile, spend like there's no Tomorrow.'
Go, songs, for ended is our brief, sweet play;
Go, children of swift joy and tardy sorrow:
And some are sung, and that was yesterday,
And some are unsung, and that may be tomorrow.
Go forth; and if it be o'er stony way,
Old joy can lend what newer grief must borrow:
And it was sweet, and that was yesterday,
And sweet is sweet, though purchased with sorrow.
Go, songs, and come not back from your far way:
And if men ask you why ye smile and sorrow,
Tell them ye grieve, for your hearts know Today,
Tell them ye smile, for your eyes know Tomorrow.

Deep, Dark, Dismay
Cold is my heart and dull are my thoughts,
My soul is trapped in memories far gone,
Emotions elude me, my feelings are numb,
And my spirit cries out for it's freedom.
The dark isolation of my loneliness,
The deep despair and cold desperation,
All hope has deserted my deep solitude,
I am left with my own isolation.
Secluded from happiness I once enjoyed,
My sorrow filled state no longer holds joy,
My obsolete memories will not bring him back,
As I spiral ever deeper into the void.
My destitute subsistence is vaguely aroused,
My invalid existence in grief, so profound,
Deep feelings of sorrow are all that remain,
And the dark silence brings deafening sound.
My confused, disordered retreat from his love,
Has left me a prisoner within my own heart,
My rueful remorse and melancholy sin,
Makes me deeply regret that I lost him.
Woe is me in my deep dark dismay,
Depression set in when he went away,
I no longer desire to live anymore,
Please lower me into my grave.

What Do You Want From Me Now
Take a little bit of everything baby
Ill be all right
Dont just settle for living the lie
That I thought you might
Put on your disguise
Let me see that youre bigger than me
Tell me that tomorrow
Ill wake and yearn for you
And when I call your name out
You leave and take a bow
You say what do want from
Call off the service now baby
No one really knew
That I would have to leave
But now Im a better man
I thought you realized
I wanted you but
You left so suddenly
I know I promised but now I lied
And when I kiss you someday
If you feel that your aloud
You say what do you want from me now
Burn all your candles
Turn out the light
Forget the feeling youve been feeling
Deep inside of me well be alright
Now its the morning after
And Im doing what you said
No one answers
So I cope cause you are gone
Oh I just wanted you baby
But I have to deal cause
My heart isnt big enough
To love you even if I please
And if I need you someday
You will not make a sound
Just think what do you want from me now

Inspiration..
Inspiration comes and goes.
I write it down or I’ll forget while searching for a pen.
Inspiration comes and goes.
I get is from dreams or experiences.
Inspiration comes and goes.
But tell me, what inspires you.
I’m inspired by beauty, love and lust.
Giving me words and thought I dare to trust.
It’s inspiration that separates me from the rest.
‘Cause when inspiration comes words fall into place.
And things are beginning to make sense.
Sometimes I’m inspired by sorrow.
When I’m waiting in my bed for tomorrow.
And words start to become sentences.
I will start to write just to understand.
And to make me feel better so I can go to bed again.
Sometimes I write because of a pain that runs so deep.
I write cryptic lyrics about the secrets I keep.
I express them in other words so no one will understand.
But they feel not knowing what I’m trying to tell.
It’s a just way to clear my conscience.
Sometimes I write how the world could be.
Or I write about the girl of my fantasy.
Then I’m inspired by a fragment of my imagination.
And now I told a few ways where I get my inspiration.
So now tell me what inspires you.

Grief - The Soul of Life
Laughter, Joy and Happiness is all people want,
We could do without grief, they say.
Little do they know that I don't just daunt,
I am their lives' X-Ray.
Happiness is only one side of the coin,
The other one is grief.
To curse, bane and torment they adjoin,
But its all just false belief.
Like the waves that rise and fall,
Life is but a journey.
Emotions you need to experience one and all,
It can't be just sugar and honey.
Grief is eternal, like a black hole,
A void in your life, a hole in your soul.

Nothin At All
I would walk home every evening
Through the pyramids of light
I would feed myself on silence
Wash it down with empty nights
Then your innocent distractions
Hit me so hard
My emotional reaction
Caught me off guard
It was nothing at all
Like anything I had felt before
And it was nothing at all
Like I thought no its so much more
No one else has ever made
Me feel this way
When I asked you how you did it
You just say
It was nothing at all
Now I walk home every evening
And my feet are quick to move
Cause I know my destination
Is a warm and waiting you
From our first communication
It was clear
Any thought of moderation
Would soon disappear
It was nothing at all
Like anything I had felt before
And it was nothing at all
Like I thought no, its so much more
No one else has ever made
Me feel this way
When I asked you how you did it
You just say
It was nothing at all
Then your innocent distractions
Hit me so hard
My emotional reaction
Caught me off guard
It was nothing at all
Like anything I had felt before
And it was nothing at all
Like I thought no, its so much more
No one else has ever made
Me feel this way
When I asked you how you did it
You just say
It was nothing at all
It was nothing at all

Best Medicine
Life is full of fun and laughter
Children are happy
What more could you ask after
Happiness is, God's free gift in life
Smart people know
And stay out of strife
You work hard all day
You come home to rest
You'll do it all tomorrow
It's part of life's test
A big storm is coming,
You know it's gonna rain
So laughter triggers something in your brain
Which helps to alleviate, all that pain
You have to be brave, you have to be bold
laughter: It's the best medicine
The best that I have been told
