My Daydream
We'd build a house upon a hill
and we would live as one.
And on the misty morning's scene
we'd luxuriate in the sun.
You'd rub my back with lotion sweet
and I would feel your touch.
And I in turn would extend the favor
and revel in the rush.
I would prepare for you a meal
of foods that you desire.
And in the warmth of the evening hours
you'd take me by the fire.
I'd not complain of little things
of which we can't control.
For none of them would I care about
nor would they take their toll.
But since these are just daydreams
and none of them come true.
It is best I return to reason
and never dream of you.

Sometimes at night, when I look to the sky,
I start thinking of you and then ask myself, why?
Why do I love you? I think and smile,
because I know the list could run on for miles.
The whisper of your voice, the warmth of your touch,
so many little things that make me love you so much.
The way you support me, and help with my emotions,
the way that you care and show so much devotion.

I find the simple pleasures in life
To be the most beautiful
They make me feel...

Asking for such a simple existence
Contrived things are so much easier to come by...
Maybe I long for simpler times
Only found in history books or fairy tales

When she has a young spirit
I'm a bag of contradictions
Loving simple things and high end fashion
You can let it be, but, please try to do it in a way I'll like...
It's not a big deal...until it is...
I can forgive you your greatest faults
But I would never expect you to forgive me mine...
