Loneliness and Cries
How can the sky be so irreverently blue?
There shall never be a heavenly hue
that will ever fill my eyes.
For all the skies have been replaced
with sullen forms of cloudy shapes
that form, preventing any escapes
from loneliness and cries.
How can roses be so irreverently red?
When to me their vibrancy is completely dead.
Rather that their thorn prick my heart
and allow my withering blood depart.
For all the velvety touch they give
should not be present while I live
with loneliness and cries.
How can the grass be so irreverently green?
There shall never be a verdant scene
that will awaken my eyes again.
For all the grass that grows outside
is a dried up patch where I reside.
And there's no fleeing this emotional scene
of loneliness and cries.

Blue Skies Bring Tears
Unleash the armageddon
So all the children go to heaven
I sit by quiet still
With their pictures on my eyes
You'll draw the guns your given
Write down the words as written
And never disturb the presense
Of resurrection touch
And it's about time
It's about drawing near
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Descend the darkened stairway
Make hate with plastic playmates
And fire out remaining traces
Of your self esteem
Mainline the deepest secrets
Lick clean the dirty fingers
I am a stranger to you
As you are to yourself
And it's about time
It's about fear
Blue skies bring tears
Don't you want me (don't want you)
Cause I await cityside
We'll watch the seas start to die
Blue skies bring tears
Take me inside your body
Blue skies bring tears
Cover me with your soul
Blue skies bring tears
To the darkest reasons
Blue skies bring tears
Is where I wish to go
Blue skies bring tears
You are the sweetest flower
Blue skies bring tears
That I have ever devoured
Blue skies bring tears
I ask for nothing given
Blue skies bring tears
For nothing in return
Blue skies bring tears

Cloudy Daze
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You gimme love and laughter when skies are grey
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You gimme love and laughter when skies are grey
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You're there with me at my darkest hour
You fill my arms with the brightest flowers
You lift me up with the things you say
You are my sunshine on a rainy day
I wanna feel your arms in a warm embrace
I wanna see your love written on your face
And as time goes by
You'll be my sunshine on a cloudy day
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You gimme love and laughter when skies are grey
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day
You gimme love and laughter when skies are grey

Grey Cloudy Lies
And I thought to close my mouth
With a padlock on the night
Leave the battlefield behind
Stay out the fight
Not lose my sight
Now I only want to be
With no pistol at my brain
But at times it gets so lonely
Could go insane
Could lose my aim
Now I only want to live
With no teardrops in my eyes
But at times it feels like no chance
No clear blue skies
Grey cloudy lies
No clear blue skies
Grey cloudy lies

Blue Skies
I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Evry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but theyre not gray anymore
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When youre in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
[2]
I should care if the wind blows east or west
I should fret if the worst looks like the best
I should mind if they say it cant be true
I should smile, thats exactly what I do

Home On The Range
Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Home, home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Oh give me a land where the bright diamond sand
Flows leisurely down the stream
Where the graceful white swan goes gliding along
Like a maid in a heavenly dream
Home, home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Oh often at night, when the heavens are bright
From the light of the glittering stars
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of ours
Home, home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

Forms (Fun Poem 38)
Our lives are filled with forms
we have to fill in, almost on a daily basis.
Most want a detailed description
of our entire life.
Date of birth, date of death.
You silly iriots if I was dead
I wouldn’t be filling in this form!
What about some of the other silly questions they ask.
There is always one or two.
What gender are you male, female or other.
If other, please explain.
I scratched my head.
I am a cross between a mongoose
and a little green man.
Why must they always put other
when they ask a question?
How do you get to work,
walk, bike, bus, train, car or other.
A friend came across that question once.
He simply ticked other and then went on to explain
that he went to work on an egg.
Now about these forms
that seem to dominate our lives.
During our lifetime,
we probably fill in enough forms
to stretch around the world and back again
if they were placed end to end.
Writer’s moan about writer’s cramp,
I moan about form cramp and that is that.

Greenfields
(frank dycus/shawn camp)
Greenfields backed by blue skies
bout as blue as your two true blue eyes
And I wonder do you feel the way I feel
When you see greenfields
Sometimes, oh, I wish you were still mine
And Id go back in time and Ill always find
You in greenfields and youre layin by my side
And love was real and I could taste it
On these lips of mine in
Greenfields backed by blue skies
bout as blue as your two true blue eyes
And I wonder do you feel the way I feel
When you see greenfields
When I see cotton candy clouds up in heaven
I close my eyes and then we drift away
And Im loving you and holding on forever
There in your arms where I used to lay in
Greenfields backed by blue skies
bout as blue as your two true blue eyes
And I wonder do you feel the way I feel
In greenfields

Years of life
I have previously observed this place
and this meeting is surely destined,
maybe somewhere here, we did embrace,
while emotions now grabs hold of us
and now that you also do recognize me
your eyes are heavenly blue.
The air above us is heavenly blue
where we look at the stretched out sea
and recognize something of the coast and sea
as if our coming here is destined,
the being together grabs us
as if we are embraced by this moment.
The wind is swishing strong and it embraces us
and we see white horses on the heavenly blue sea
the sand is swished up by the wind
and looking at you, I am stunned by your beauty
and the peppering sandstorm hits us
and I recognize my love for you.
On this shore you did admit to being untrue,
clenched onto the steel railing
as if to that moment was destined
and my eyes at times heavenly blue
then was grey, while I looked at you
and fear and pain clenched my soul
Seeing you again clenched my heart
made me recognize that our love still exists
where you stand watching the beach
and I feel embraced by the past
as if everything now is, in a world so heavenly blue
with a place for you and me in it.
Have our lives been destined to this winter
where chilliness clenches the body, soul and spirit?
As if being caught by something out of our youth
recognized by memories
and I see the perception in your eyes, once heavenly blue
but I see you have now aged.
Lord where we now in later years see Your creation,
are our lives still embraced by You?
Is there a place for my wife and I in your domain beyond the blue sky?

Emptiness of Words
On morning walk, I raise my eyes up,
Not like King David to the mountains,
But to purple flowers, the Pride of India
Queen’s flowers, blossoming bunches out
This hot April summer on Bandra pavement.
I look further up, sky is blue unusually!
Filled with many pieces of clouds
In different shapes and sizes;
To describe cannot go beyond
Squares, circles, triangles, rectangles etc
As if all shapes are governed by angles alone.
What about angels of irregular sponges,
Candyfloss shot through with morning silver,
Evolving like forms of life vibrant, joyful?
In this hot summer April month alone,
More than a billion Indians feel anger
And each Indian a thousand times:
Yet anger is the only available word!
Was your ‘anger’ last Monday morning
Same as of others or yours on weekend?
Like in Heart Sutra of the Buddha
Form is empty: so also, says he, feeling,
Perception, impulse, and consciousness.
Here anger is followed by other words!

Let It Be Christmas
Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the hearts of all people
Both near and afar
Christmas everywhere
Feel the love of the season where ever you are
On the small country roads
Lined with green mistletoe
Big city streets where a thousand lights glow
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing
Let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas, Christmas everywhere
Let it be Christmas everywhere
With the gold and the silver, the green and the red
Christmas everywhere
In the smiles of all children asleep in their beds
In the eyes of young babies
Their first fallen snow
The elderly's memories that never grow old
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing
Let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas, Christmas everywhere
Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the songs that we sing
And the gifts that we bring
Christmas everywhere
In what this day means
And what we believe
From the sandy white beaches
Where blue water rolls
Snow covered mountains and valleys below
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing
Let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it b

Shapes That Go Together
When you were wrapped in tangles
I was free
And when you were undecided
I believed
It's alright, tonight
On a deep blue mountain high
The shapes that go together
You and I
When you were filled with longing
I belonged
When you were weak from trying
I was strong
But it's alright, tonight
On a deep blue mountain high
The shapes that go together
You and I
The shapes that go together
You and I
Childhood winters
Come to me
Whisper softly
So tenderly
I know, I walked 25 miles to hold you
Just to find you'd moved away
When you were wrapped in tangles
I was free
And when you were almost blinded
I could see
But it's alright, tonight
On a deep blue mountain high
The shapes that go together
You and I
The shapes that go together
You and I
You and I (The shapes that go together)

My Heart Doesn’t Have A Clue
How high is the azure sky
How deep is the ocean blue
How dark is the silent night
So often do I think of you
Zillion times, I don’t have clue
How many roses sprinkled with dew
So many stars in my eyes to woo.
Another, I know, you wont find
No matter what I do,
Another, I know, you wont love
No matter how far I would go
I would cry to fill the sea,
If ever I lost you
How high is the azure sky
How deep is the ocean blue.
I have no answers now
But this much I can say
You gave a meaning
To this empty world of mine
I’ll know I’ll need you
Till the stars all burn away
How high is the azure sky
How deep is the ocean blue
For love cannot be measured
By hours in a day
Nor can it be inferred
By the words that I’ve come to say
But it is always there
Like stars all gleams in dark and lonely night
And like moonlight streaming forth those cloudy skies
They say love blooms in the night
And in daylight it dies
How high is the azure sky
How deep is the ocean blue
My heart doesn’t have a clue.

Tiger eyes
Beautiful blue, tiger eyes,
You’ll reign on me once more.
For your heart I will remain,
‘til you forget what came before.
Beautiful blue, a cloudy blue,
A smoke screened, lazy stare.
I beg that you just look at me
I need to know you care.
Beautiful blue, a brighter blue,
I see it in your eyes.
As you stand there, in front of me,
Stripped naked are the lies.
Beautiful blue, a soulless blue,
So much is lost inside.
I fear that when I find you
Fear and loathing shall reside.
Beautiful blue, a complex blue,
Life threw at you a twist.
You won’t feel that things are changing,
‘til you believe you should exist.
Beautiful blue, my baby’s blue,
We lay still on the floor.
For your heart I will remain
Until you reign on me once more.

Pink Skies Tonight, Shepards Delight
Pink skies tonight
is a shepard's delight
to me its a heart filling sight
swirling colours crack out through sun's light
suffocating clouds coil into a rainbow swirl
brilliant shades of gold turn silver to the world
as stars take their righful places in the sky
a dreamy sight to anyone's eyes
pinker planes turn darker still
with the clouds drinking in their fill
the skies grow darker untill
pink skies vanished, stars to replace
clouds turned invisible, wished away in haste
it had all began and faded far too soon
to replaced with the darkness of a circle
surrounding the moon

Clouds
Stop looking.
Lay back.
Can you see?
Shapes in clouds follow me.
Horse running free.
Camel walking desert dunes.
Ship sailing blue sky.
Stop looking.
Lay back.
Can you see?
Shapes in clouds follow me.
Winged dragon take flight.
Rabbit passes.
Tulip, petals falling.
Imagination growing.
Daydreams flowing.
Finger outlines shape.
One eye closed, now concentrate.
Stop looking.
Lay back.
Can you see?
Shapes in clouds follow me.
Collide, take form.
Breezes blow, rearranging.
Never knowing what materializes next.
Stop looking.
Lay back.
Can you see.
Shapes in clouds follow me.

Night Town of Words
Dark shapes lose their forms as the darkness
creeps over the cobbles, torn newspapers lose
their printed heart-blood, thrown before my shiny
pointed going-out shoes.
This is not the time for a manifesto, it is the
age of uncertain quality.
The past races from me and hides in doorways,
running over curved bridges, stretching out its tongue,
as chains of light break and form.
I read my notes, pulled from a pocket of coins and crumbs.
The letters make no sense, they are night shapes.
I is my body, am is longer and weaker, unhappy starts
with a boat, a half face stretching up to the stars
or half lights, p and y slip down into the next line,
the forms all wrong, a scale with just one wrong note.
I am unhappy? Did I write this?

Blue eyes deep like oceans make feelings swim,
Blue eyes wide like skies make hearts float.
Black lashes like deep underwater caves or wide night skies
Draw out deep, wide, blue eyes.
