Is Time a Healer?
Too many lies have reached my ears.
They say time erases the tears.
But I have found this is not true
for pain is with me through and through.
I miss him at the break of day
and still hear people say.
'Time is a healer. You will see.'
but all it does is create memory.
Reminders are in the smell of the air.
I breathe it in on days so fair.
I hear a song that takes me back
to distant times and I overreact.
My heart is stricken and cannot heal.
It's lost its power to even feel.
I will not listen to anyone's lies.
I'll close my ears and shut my eyes
and pray for memories to recede.

Broken Chains
Too many days now, been at their mercy,
Been living a life of pain, low down and dirty,
Chains biting tight, can only dream of the light,
Need to break free, can no one see what is right?
You see my tears,
Feel my fears,

Man, life has just gotta change,
You're feeling low, got nowhere to go,
Your head is on fire and they say you're a liar,
What are you gonna do?
How will you ever break down,
The pain that's all around?
You get up every day to try again,
Where will it end, will your heart ever mend.

Why do you live alone
If you are sad

The winds of time
