Had I Known

Had I known then what I know today
Would that have changed anything?
Back then I'd not been ready for it,
Not ready to accept life's sting.

I needed to come upon it slowly
And feel it in my breath.
That which I needed the most
Was the understanding of death.

When you are in the thinking stage
You begin to wonder and seek
Why life turns out to simply be
Just a glimpse or a peek

Into the mysteries that surface
and are hard to figure out.
They can be called the unknown,
Things we don't know about.

But isn't that why we've come to earth?
to try our best to learn?
And had I known then what I know today
I'd have wanted a quick return

To where it was I ventured from.
And then I would never know
the answers to any of these mysteries
that slowly helped me to learn.

Life

Life is a beautiful place,
It is how you make it to be.

Life is about believing in
yourself,
This is your life and what
you choose to do with your
life is up to you.

You respect others and they
will respect you too.

Life is never all that easy,
We learn to simply grow
strong and grow wise each
day.

We learn through our mistakes,
That is how we simply turn them
around and start over again.

Life is precious as you are,
Keep the faith and never
let go.

Life has many mysteries for us
to solve,
That is why we learn to put the
pieces of the puzzle together.

When goals are completed we know
we have earned a big star,
We all walk proud knowing we have
done well.

Life has a powerful meaning,
We all must always feel proud to
walk this earth.

Life has has given to many of us,
A chance to live, laugh
and to learn.

Remember, life is too short
to feel grumpy,
We learn to turn that grumpy
little frown into happiness.

New And Old

when you are new
to this world, you always make the impression
that you know how to choose

you delve on exquisite
and discriminating taste

and you always say what is in your mind
you call a spade a spade
and you prefer the diamonds
and the matters fit for the king and queen

but life is not really like that
you fall and bleed
and you find it hard to accept
these skin and bones
the cartilages and nerves that already
know what cutting and breaking mean

time teaches. time heals.
and you learn to let go

and learn to accept what comes
uninvited, the failures and
unexpected calamities

the words 'no', 'not now' 'please don't'
'why me? '

slowly they do not find relevance anymore
and maturely enough you begin

to say ' well, these things happen'
'sometimes they just come'
'inevitable'

'we just have to learn to accept'
'these are realities'

finally, you become a part of this world.
the answer has always been 'yes, and yes'

come, i am human. Come i am brave.
Come, i am giving. Come, take me. Come, i am ready.

now, you know.

Circle

Give me the dust of my father
Stand on the face of the ancients
Bare the secret flesh of time itself
Follow me (Follow me)
I've come so far behind again
Follow me (Follow me)
Wish so hard I'm there again
Follow me (Follow me)
Follow me (Follow me)
All that I wanted are things I had before
All that I needed I've never needed more
All of my questions are answers to my sins
All of my endings waiting to begin
I know the way that I faulter
Can't be afraid of my patience
There's a sacred place Razel keeps safe
Follow me (Follow me)
I've seen so much I'm behind again
Follow me (Follow me)
I feel so bad I'm in love again
Follow me (Follow me)
All that I wanted things before
All that I needed I've never needed more
All of my questions are answers to my sins
All of my endings waiting to begin

You Are Unto Dust

You are made from the dust of the earth,
And the Wailing-Wall will be there for you;
For you are unto dust and you shall return unto dust,
And this is just the journey of the spirit.

To the realm of the unknown and to the things we do for love,
And until death put us apart on this side of the planet;
For the flesh goes back to where it belongs to!
Yes, back to the earth.

Death is part of us and we need to learn from others,
For we have to be prepared as well;
For he flesh goes back to where it belongs to;
And out of the dust we were made.

The dust became flesh and today we are human beings,
And from the knowledge of the things to come;
But naked we came and naked we shall return.

Shed no tears on this love,
For death comes for all of us on this earth;
And we need to learn from the facts around us as well,
For it is better to be very righteous than to be buried with evil deeds.

Life is a long road full of sand and,
All that is acquired on this earth is vanity!
Yes, vanity upon vanity! !
For you and i are unto dust and,
Unto dust we shall return at the end of of all things.

Show Me How To Live

In with the early dawn
Moving right along
I couldnt buy an eye of sleep
And in the aching night
Under satellite
I was not recieved
With the stolen parts
A telephone in my heart
Someone get me a priest
To put my mind to bed
This ringing in my head
Is this a cure is or is this a disease
Hey hey I said
Near as I can figure
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
Hey hey I said
Near as I can figure
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
In the afterbirth
On the quiet earth
Let this things remind me
You thought you made amend
You better think again
Before my row defines you
Hey hey I said
Near as I an figure
You gave me life now show me how to live
Hey hey I said
Near as I can figure
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
And in your waiting hands
I will land
And roll out of my skin
And in your final hours I will stand
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Hey hey I said
Near as I can figure
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
Hey hey I said
Near as I can figure
You gave me life now
Show me how to live

A Thing Of The Past

A thing of the past,
After 30 years;
And of the things that are needed to be changed,
For, we must be ready to accept in the new things.

An optional add-on attitude,
And like the muse of your love as seen around;
But, it was like the awareness of your joy in my room last night!
However, we must be ready to accept in the new changes.

How To Survive Without Riches

First,
We must relax.
And begin to breathe...
Slowly.
In with the new.
And out with the old.
In with the new.
And out with the old.
Remember...
There is only one cycle of breath.

Now...
We are all ready,
To learn a lesson about trust.

Let us all close our eyes...
Gently.
Deep breathe...and,
In with the new.
And out with the old.
In we go...
With the new,
AND...
Removed from us,
Is the old!

In with the...

'Hey?
My watch is gone.'

~Where are my shoes?
My wallet is missing.~

'You said,
We are all going to learn a lesson about trust.
Everything has been taken from us.'

Trust!
Has been a lesson...
A major lesson,
All of you have learned today.

~TRUST?
Everything.
Our valuables have been stolen from us.
That's not trust.
That's THEFT! ~

I disagree.
IN with the NEW.
And OUT with the OLD.
There is nothing crooked about that.
And TRUST?
I think you all have learned that lesson.
DO NOT EVER DO IT!
EVER...
AGAIN!

'What about our valuables?
Our things? '

You have all signed contracts,
Stating you come to me...
For lifestyle changes!
And...
You can admit with assessment,
Everyone here has experienced...
Immediate and rapid change.
Have you not?

I will expect all of you back,
For the next session...
BASIC LIVING!
HOW TO SURVIVE WITHOUT RICHES.
And...
STILL FEEL THE GLOW Of LOVE!

The Front Line

The unknown causes fear for most,
but I look at it as,
a friend waiting for me.
It could be good,
could be bad,
but all I know is,
I'm ready for it.
I'm ready to run if I must,
I'm ready to draw my sword,
I'm ready to fight till
my final breath,
a true fight till
the death.
Get in line,
all armor on and firm,
for tonight blood will be poured out
upon all people,
those with swords,
and those with shields,
all will feel such pain.
Are you ready,
to draw your sword
then step out onto
the front line?
Are you ready,
to say good-bye,
to those you loved?
Life isn't easy,
so think fast and come quick,
run now and you won't
need to worry,
about the blood others will shed.
Run and be quick,
hurry and escape.
before they take my life,
all because
I tried to save yours.

Learn

when broken
learn
when happy
learn
when bored
learn
when you float and does not know what to do
learn just the same
when filled with idealism
learn
when fed with what you cannot swallow
learn again
when the times get rough and you want to kill yourself
learn, learn, learn
you still have many things to learn
faces of life
bodies of life
learn, learn, learn everything
do not surrender

for in truth, you do not do what you only want
you will also do what you are told to do
no questions asked
or you will be left out
or you will be not a part of the picture
this life
learn, learn, learn, always learn
do not surrender
live, learn, live, learn
you will soon do all that others will tell you
learn, learn and learn again

and sooner you will have learned everything
and then do what you want to do
with firm conviction
you know now what is right
and that is what you will do,

now without even being told
you have become yourself

but still learn, learn, and learn again
because

you might be wrong,
try thinking some more, learn
relearn, learn, learn, learn, forevermore....

If Youd Ever Needed Someone

Stop right there and listen,
Before you say something you might regret
I know somethings missing
But I cant begin to accept what you said
Maybe, you can show me
Exactly where Im goin wrong
Cos lately Ive been thinking
Maybe Ive been round here too long
If youd ever needed someone in your life
Maybe then youd know
Why my heart just wants you to stay
But my head tells me lo let her go
If youd ever needed someone
One way or another
Whatever I do it seems you criticize
Is there any wonder
The hurt that I feel is so thinly disguised
I cant help but notice
Little things that tell me so much
Is it only a matter of time
Before Im missing your tender touch?
If youd ever needed someone in your life
Maybe then youd know
Why my heart just wants you to stay
But my head tells me to let her go
If youd ever needed someone
If youd put yourself in my place
You could never say whats gone is gone
If youd ever needed someone

Where Were You When I Needed You

(p. f. sloan/s. barri)
Don't botter cryin'
Don't botter crawlin'
It's all over now
No use in stallin'
The love i once felt
I don't feel anymore for you
This time i'll even
Open the door for you
You walked out
When i was down
Well now i'm well off
And look who's comin' around
Where were you when i needed you
Where were you when i wanted you
Where were you when i needed you
Where
You're looking good
It's hard to fight it
There's no use explainin'
I've already decided
That livin' without ya
Is worse than without ya
I won't spend a lifetime
A-worryin' about ya
Things got rough
And you dissappeared
Now i'm back on my feet
And look who's standing there
Where were you when i needed you
Where were you when i wanted you
Where were you when i needed you
Where
You were so young
And you were so wild
I knew you were nobody's
Innocent child
The first day i saw you
You really got me
I thought i could change ya
What good did it do me
Things got rough
And i couldn't wait
Now you're trippin' back
But babe, it's too late
Where were you when i needed you
Where were you when i wanted you
Where were you when i needed you
Where

Ready For Love

Walkin' down this rocky road
Wondering where my life is leadin'
Rollin' on to the bitter end
Finding out along the way
What it takes to keep love living
You should know how it feels, my friend
Ooh, I want you to stay
Ooh, I want you today
I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
Ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
Now I'm on my feet again
Better things are bound to happen
All my dues surely must be paid
Many miles and many tears
Times were hard but now they're changing
You should know that I'm not afraid
Ooh, I want you to stay
Ooh, I want you today
I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
Oh, for your love

Revealing My Soul

I stand on the abyss
Wondering what to do
But now I look forward
With no fears do you
Often I stood looking within
Wanting and praying
I will hide all my sins
I watched life go pass
Became a zombie I did
Breathing, moving, but lifeless within
Then suddenly shock
Through the mist and haze
Nightmares and fears
Slowly drifting away
But then a new fear
Hides deep within
Of finding the meaning
Of life’s mysteries
Should I take the first step?
Toward revealing my soul
Just to be picked
By the sinners anew
Picking and eating
Away at my soul
But this time I’m ready
For what happens to me
I take on the world
And all its mysteries

Are You Ready?

Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready to meet jesus?
Are you where you ought to be?
Will he know you when he sees you
Or will he say, depart from me?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready to lay down my life for the brethren
And to take up my cross?
Have I surrendered to the will of god
Or am I still acting like the boss?
Am I ready, hope Im ready.
When destruction cometh swiftly
And theres no time to say a fare-thee-well,
Have you decided whether you want to be
In heaven or in hell?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Have you got some unfinished business?
Is there something holding you back?
Are you thinking for yourself
Or are you following the pack?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment?
Are you ready for that terrible swift sword?
Are you ready for armageddon?
Are you ready for the day of the lord?
Are you ready, I hope youre ready.

There is no ice that will never melt

There is no ice that will never melt
Slowly, gradually
Though freeze to sleep forever
Or not be moved by emotion
Slowly, gradually
It’s not needed fire arms
It’s not needed the right law
Only time
Slowly, gradually
The cold drips in my hands
Like a burning candle
Like a bleeding body
Gone into puddle

There is no ice that will never melt
Slowly, gradually
Will it be a thin hope
Or silent word
Slowly, gradually
It’s not needed genius mind
It’s not needed global warning
Only time
Slowly, gradually
The crystal vanishes in my hands
Like a crying stone
Like a dying swan
Gone into water

Oh Woman

My whole life rides on the mood of my lady
Her ups and downs are turning my life around
Shes happy today, its like a breath of new life
But tomorrow her sorrow will tear me down.
Slowly, oh slowly I can tell that she needs me
It shows right through the walls shes built around herself
Oh higher, oh higher Im climbing in her eyes
Its a servant she wants but a man she must have.
Oh, oh woman I need you like I never needed anyone
Oh, oh woman like the morning needs the sun
Oh, oh woman you know that our lives have just begun
Ill behave, oh woman, cause Im your slave.
Oh, two lives in tune, its a delicate balance to keep
Well stand together but never too near
Oh, hold me close but dont you smother me
Ill speak of my love but only for you to hear.
Oh, oh woman I need you like I never needed anyone
Oh, oh woman like the morning needs the sun
Oh, oh woman you know that our lives have just begun
Ill behave, oh woman, cause Im your slave.

His Gracious Guidance

He touched me from Heaven above and filled me with His tender Love,
For Christ said we were to be wise as serpent, but harmless as dove.

He moved on me from the start to learn to love Him with all my heart,
As this gracious change in my heart was indeed the message to impart.

He made my troubled anguish cease and filled me with a gentle peace,
Around this world it will not be, yet in my heart it shall increase.

He helped me in due time to see what it was that He wanted me to be,
Which was someone to share with the world his or her Eternal needs.

He helped me deal with each daily nuisance with a God given patience,
As evidence to all around me that Christ makes a profound difference.

He helps me each and every day with all the words I needed to say,
For He just might bring one in need of The Word across my path today.

He taught me how to deal with abruptness with a true loving-kindness,
For people, like I once did, are dealing with a Spiritual blindness.

He helped me through The Spirit to walk all of the words that I talk,
For it's hypocrisy inside The Church that makes people outside balk.

He changed my tendency to be coy, by filling me with His Eternal Joy.
Not an emotion for a time to enjoy but something no one can destroy.

He filled me with a Holy Fear to understand that His return was near,
As a Christian my duty is clear, you must be ready, when He appears.

Just Be You

When one looks at history
We can either
Learn from the past
To adapt to the present
So you can
Face tomorrow's mysteries

The age old question
We all ask
Can we better ourselves?

To better oneself
You must be brave

To better oneself
You must know love

To better oneself
You must be strong

To better oneself
You must believe

To better oneself
You must learn to share

To better oneself
Just be you

After learning all
Of life's mysteries
One must discover
To be true to
Thine own self
Just be you

Let me be this way….

Let me live my life today,
For tomorrow I cannot say.
I may not know what I know today.

Let me live my life today
moment by moment until
today becomes yesterday.
Let me live my life today.

Let me not ponder beyond what I
Do not know,
Let me be satisfied today here
in what I think I know.
The fear of exploring the unknown
Is the reason men never go beyond love and eternity.
So I pray to you today
Let me forever be this way and
Learn to live in what exists today.
let me live my life this way.

Mysteries Of My Life

There are many mysteries in my life
for which an answer for I do not possess.

Why after an almost a lifetime
of wishing I had a brother
only to find did when it was too late
to really get to know him?

Why after fulfilling a wish of a late friend
would the acknowledgement
that I yearned for
start to really, begin?

Why when I never wanted to drive
did I get involve in an accident
as a passenger and changed my mind?

Why after yearning to capture my past
and talk to some old school friends
did I find a stranger I barely knew,
but whom when we met recognised one another instantly
and hugged one another intensely
never wanting to let go
and when it came to part again, we felt like family.

I always have more questions
than answers to possess.
Why with the passing of each day
more mysteries come my way?
There is no logical reason
for all the mysteries in my life,
they just happen to surprise me
one every corner that I turn.
I hold no sorrow for them happening
only happiness and joy.
A Gypsy once told me
I was born under a lucky star.
It is possible she was right.
Lucky in my friends
and my extended families
that stretch around the world.
I think no man can call himself
luckier than that.
