Fearful Heads

The heads of the high and mighty
must be filled with dread.
They must be looking behind them
to see who wants them dead.

They wear the crowns of sparkling gems
and look down from their thrones.
They send their tax collectors out
to steal from weary bones.

But tired bones can gather strength
and somehow find a way
to keep those heads filled with dread
forever and a day.

A Dry and Thirsty Land

Parched and barren,
A dry and thirsty land
Filled with the haze of death
The forgotten bones of man

The tongue swells in the mouth
The sweat pours out his brow
Weary traveller falling down
Weary traveller dying now

The white bleached bones
The bones of those before
Lie about him spinning round
Bleached bones on the desert floor

His brown shrivelled skin
Turns black under the sun
He is lost and doomed
What is done is done

Thou are cruel, Dry thirsty land,
Slowly killing those who flee
Drying them from the inside
A miserable gutted tragedy

Weary traveller, there is rest
There is rest for you head
There is a place where you can rest
Where you can drink and be fed

Don’t push on any longer
For the dry thirsty land
Will eventually be stronger
Than thy inner man

Come to the one oasis
That inhabits this world
Find the well of water
From which life doth unfurl

Come thou weary and faint
Sojourners in a dry weary place
Come thou empty and dead
Come with all due haste

Come to the well
Strength and energy it gives
Come to the well
If you want to live

Come if you feel tired
Come if you need a refresh
Come if you need life
Come if you want energy afresh

A well for all who wish
A dry and thirsty land
Come thou faint
Come thou weary man

Down in the dark

Down in the dark, it’s all in my head,
The pain the sorrow, all of the dread,

I want it to leave, but it wants to stay,
I try and I try, but he won’t go away,
There by day, there at night,
Saying the things, that fills me with fright,

I’m down in the dark, it fills my head,
The pain the sorrow, all of the dread,

He’s always around, lurking inside,
Watching; waiting, my hands are tied,
In my head, always near,
In my thoughts, building the fear,

Down in the dark, filling my head,
The pain the sorrow, all of the dread,

The pain; it grows, bursting within,
The dark; he’s back, with his terror filled grin,
“I’ll help”; he says, talking to me,
“I know what to do, just come and see, ”

Down in the dark, it filled my head,
The pain the sorrow, all of the dread,

My thoughts are violent, with sorrow in my chest,
I just close my eyes, and hope for the best,
He tells me good job, I’ll find the light,
But my life is ending, with the chill of the night.,

Dead in the dark, lost in my head,
No more pain or sorrow, not even dread….,

Here Comes The Breeze

*here comes the breeze, come on, blow me up
*planting the seed, come on sow me up
*feel in the feeling, making our way through the storm
*weve been deceiving, making our way through the storm
*all we needs a little more to
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
*here comes the air, come on, blow me up
*harness the fair, come on, grow me up
Staring at nothing cos I cant make out what it is
Searching for something I just dont know what it is
All we needs a litle water
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Come on in, come in on and lay me down
And relax cos the world will collapse with you
Turn your red light in to blue
Why do you keep running around like that
Sit back cos this is gonna take a while
Theres no shame in going out of style
Why do you keep running around like that
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads

Dead Father

when your fathers dead
your heart fills with dread
my father died in the year 2005
when he was alive my life was filled with pride
somtimes i just wish i could go back in time
go back and save his life
when i heard the news that he was gone
all i could say is no hes too young
he was 39 years old
he still had about 60 more to go
my heart bleeds knowing were apart
but at least i know hes still in my heart
my heart filled with dread
when i found out my father was dead

Don't Dread That Casket Bed

When i am dead,
I don't want to dread,
Seeing people cry for me
That is never ever going to be,
Dont wear black,
Cuz it'll lack,
The personality that i had,
that would be bad,
Don't wear white,
With a alot of might
because it looks like a wedding,
Not me laying in my forever bedding,
Wear brightest colors,
And be my Like my mother and brother,
Wear blue purple and green,
So bright they can be seen,
Talk about my life story,
Were i once had a life with no worries,
talk about my smile,
that shined for a mile,
So don't make me dread,
That cold casket bed.

Under the Sorrow Tree

By the river,
under the sorrow tree,
the universe says
the bones must dance,
and she, who goes out with a net
to catch the spirits,
returns, her hands filled
only with the dark briars
we have hummed
these many years.
The one who sees sorrow
cannot staunch it,
yet by her side
something white
announces itself.
The bones are sucked clean,
the one nearest the heart
becomes a flute,
when you blow,
the dead come
and behind them,
the other bones in a circle

The universe says
loss demands birth
and the two
are lovers.

The Bones Of Angels

Long shadows
Bright light
That falls to the front
From a darkness behind
There is no end
To this mountain top
Inside these stones
Only peace will we find
Inside out
We're all part of the stone
That makes up the mountain
And harbours the bones
The bones of angels
That showed us the way
You can feel them at night
While they sleep through the day
The bones of angels
The bones of angels
Together we will be
Forever we will see
I see you
And I see me
And the bones of angels

Skeletons In The Closet

Woah-oh, woah-oh
Skeletons in my closet
Woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
Skeletons in my closet
Skeletons in my shoes
Skeletons I can only see
I said woah-oh, woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
Skeletons I can lose
Skeletons in my basement
Loitering on my streets
Wearing my best pajamas
Sandwiched between my sheets
I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
Ooh, I see bones
I see bones, icy bones
Ooh, I see bones
Say say bones - say boys don't you see them bones?
Rattle them bones at midnight
Shaking my bed, no sleep
I find fingers in my coat pocket
Skeletons from the deep
I said woah-oh, woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet
Ooh, I see bones
I see bones, s-see bones
Ooh, I see bones
I see bones
Say boys don't you see them bones?
No?
Heart bones, leg bones, ankle bones, arm bones,
finger bones, dogie bones, head bones
Skeletons in my closet
They even know when I'm in my closet
It's my.. my closet
Not your closet
My closet
You can have it though
Alice we want you
Alice
Alice
A-Alice
What?
Whaddya want

Last Dance Rodeo

Your lungs fill up with concrete
Her voice is all you can hear
Red lips and a screwdriver
Wrapped around some mink-clad smear
And you know that shes a diamond
And its damned you for sure (or in this damn juke box hell)
cause fools gold only fools fools
In two-bit hotels.
But shes cooler than all that
Shes a real high-class cat
Shes queen of the last dance rodeo.
But under the gas lamp
The air is thick and velvety
Your bones filled with hunger
Your heart filled with longing
Youre no longer human
Youre an insatiable hole.
You wanna bury your face forever
In the navel of her soul
cause you know ...
All you need is a heart to call home
All you need is a heart to call home
Thats all.
Light bulbs, and nylons
And plastic chandeliers
Objects are only objects,
They cant feel when youre near.
And tangerine lips
And lily-white breasts
These things are eternal
Inside them humanity rests.
The skin is like a seashell
You listen to the soul
Like an old-time radio show.
But under the gas lamp
The air is thick and velvety
Your bones filled with hunger
Your heart filled with longing
Youre no longer human
Youre an insatiable hole.
You wanna bury your face forever
In the navel of her soul
cause you know ...
All you need is a heart to call home
Thats all.
But dont wander too far
On one constant star
Darkness exists, except where you are
Your feet are filled with wandering
They follow your own
cause everywhere you are
Feels like home.
So search all you miners
You hunters of dreams
Look in the alleyways
For what you know is not what it seems
And fame, all you maidens,
It dont exist too long
But at least look behind you
And see your own shadows gone
Dont you know its the last rodeo
You gotta find yourself a cowboy
Or someone to keep you
Warm when it snows.
But under the gas lamp
The air is thick and velvety
Your bones filled with hunger
Your heart filled with longing
Youre no longer human
Youre an insatiable hole.
You wanna bury your face forever
In the navel of her soul
cause you know ...
All you need is a heart to call home
All you need is a heart
All you need is a heart to call home
Thats all.

I Want You

The sucker s loose themselves
In the games they learn to play
Children love to sing but
Then their voices slowly fade away
People always take a step away
From what is true
Thats why I like you around
I want you
Oh you do you do...
You make me want you
An open invitation to the dance
Happenstance set the vibe that we are in
No apology because my urge is genuine
And the mystery of your rhythm is so feminine
Here I am and I want to take a hit
Of your sent cause it bit so deep into my soul
I want you
Yeah, you do you do...
You make me want you
Oh you do you do...
Send me all your vampires
I want you
And I cant get enough, oh I cant get enough
And I cant get enough
The village church yard is filled with
Bones weeping in the grave
The silver lining of clouds
Shines on people jesus couldnt save
You want to know how deeply my soul goes
Deeper than bones
Deeper than bones
And I cant get enough
Oh, I cant get enough
Oh, I cant get enough
Oh, I cant get enough
After we did it by the window sill
Smoke rings drift into the midnight sky
Presently in the quilt that your mother made
A candle burns to fight off the gloom
I said to live in this way is not for the meek
And like a jazz dj you talk me into sleep
I said therell be no regrets when the worms come
And they will surely come
You do you do...
Make me want you
Send me a ll your vampires
Yeah you do...
Make me want you
Send me all your vampires
I want you
Send me all your vampires
I want you
Send me all your vampires
Send me all your vampires
There will be no regrets when the worms come
Send me all your vampires

The bones

nothing can be more dry than a piece of human bone
they steal the vitality from you even as you look

i stare at a broken 200 year old coffin filled with
all facets of skeletons; a jamble mass of broken,
brittle, sorry state of dehydration;

joints, ankles, skulls, and thigh bones
that had taken on the years to nowhere,

a stamp of desolate whiteness that
dissipates the spirit and gnaws at the heart
with its teeth of anguish

dont get me wrong, they are just bones and nothing else,
and they arouse no fear, no ghost walks with them;

death is like the bones, dry and empty, carrying
a whiteness so dissipating i guess that's God
telling us it holds no more life, merely broken
jigsaw pieces where no more dream can be put together

Ten Thousand Men A Day

All the world was wearying,
All the world was sad;
Everything was shadow-filled;
Things were going bad.
Then a rumour stirred all hearts
As a wind stirs trees-
Ten thousand men a day
Coming over seas!

Soon we saw them marching by-
God! what a sight!-
Shoulders back, and heads erect,
Faces full of light.
Smiling like a morn in May,
Moving like a breeze,
Ten thousand men a day
Coming over seas.

Weary soldiers worn with war
Lifted up their eyes,
Shadows seemed to lift a bit,
Dawn was in the skies.
Hope sprang to troubled hearts,
Strength to tired knees:
Ten thousand men a day
Were coming over seas.

France and England swarmed with them,
Khaki-clad and young,
Filled with all the joy of life-
Into line they swung.
Waning valour rose anew
At the sight of these
Ten thousand men a day
Coming over seas.

Still they come-and still they come
In their strength and pride.
Victory with radiant mien
Marches on beside.
Victory is here to stay,
Every heart agrees,
With ten thousand men a day
Coming over seas.

Dead Soldiers, And Bones!

dead soldiers...
beating on tin drums
with bones,
that used to wear faces!
small children singing,
songs of coming and going,
leaving the eerie taste
of things forgotten.
the field fresh plowed,
drowned by morning rain,
waits for the bodies
that seed the future.
while priests chant
neath stained glass windows.
the sun weary with bringing,
finds its way on the path.
the fresh dug graves
mourn with the ache,
longing for the thrust
of love's denial.
and dead soldiers march
across fog driven plains,
beating on tin drums
with bones,
that used to wear faces!

One Family

I have so much hope and anticipation for the future generations
I think kids today are growing up smart with open minds and open hearts
we can do it we'll put our heads to it and then we'll be one family
a world filled with racial stress but it seems every year less and less
those old fashioned standards are going away tomorrow will be a brighter day
we can do it we'll put our heads to it and then we'll be one family
so if you agree and want to help first you must look inside yourself
because unity begins with just us two then we'll watch it spread to all of you
we can do it we'll put our heads to it and then we'll be one family In the end.

Where Do The Boys Go

Ou vont les garcons)
We walked around in circles singing ooo ha o
I said we walk around for practically forever singing ooo ha o
I said our heads were filled with things that
Didn't really matter anyway we're singing ooo ha o
I said we walk around for practically forever singing ooo ha o
I say!
We walked around in circles singing-- ooo ha o
I said we walk around for practically forever singing-- ooo ha o
I said our heads were filled with things that
Didn't really matter anyway we're singing-- ooo ha o
I said we walk around for practically forever singing-- ooo ha o
I say:
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Ok, third line everybody sing
Chorus repeat
(We walk around in circles)
We walked around in circles singing-- ooo ha o
I said we walk around a practically forever singing-- ooo ha o
I said our heads were filled with things that didn't matter anyway we're singing-- ooo ha o
I said we walk around for practically all eternity singing-- ooo ha o
I say we walk around in circles!-- Ooo ha o
I say we walk around in circles!-- Ooo ha o
I say we walk around in circles!-- Ooo ha o
I say we walk around in circles!-- Ooo ha o
All to the tune of this very simple melody
[Simple melody]
Ta ta ta ta ta ta!
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
T-tell me, tell me, tell me, where do the boys go?
Where do the boys go?
Where do the boys go?
Where do the boys go?

Days

Every morning I awake
to face the coming day.
Some are harder than others.
Some are filled with promise,
while others are filled with dread.
All will consume me
before the darkness calls
and my head hits the pillow

Dead Or Alive

There in the shadows, looks like a hand
Without its owner, to give it a command
Its got a purpose but I dont know what it is
Im in trouble
There in the streets, looks like a man
But something wrong that I dont understand
His eyes are open but he dont see a thing
His skin is peeling off, his bones are sticking out
Im getting scared
Oh my God (is it dead? )
Is it living? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
(is it dead? ), is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
Hiding in the cupboards, like little mice
Hiding in the frigerator, that isnt nice
Its not an animal, it dont have legs
No one else can see it
It moves so fast, corner of my eye
Look again its gone, its hiding
Wont somebody help me, doesnt anybody care?
It waits so patiently, for me to lose my guard
Im getting scared
Is it dead, is it
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead or alive
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead, is it
I remember there was a time
When dead and buried meant just that
Underneath the cold dark ground
Things stay put!
Oh them bones they make them bodies walk
Them bones, them bones
If they could only talk!
Is it dead (fade)

Hymn 24

The rich sinner dying.

Psa. 49:6,9; Eccl. 8:8; Job 3:14,15.

In vain the wealthy mortals toil,
And heap their shining dust in vain,
Look down and scorn the humble poor,
And boast their lofty hills of gain.

Their golden cordials cannot ease
Their pained hearts or aching heads,
Nor fright nor bribe approaching death
From glitt'ring roofs and downy beds.

The ling'ring, the unwilling soul
The dismal summons must obey,
And bid a long, a sad farewell
To the pale lump of lifeless clay.

Thence they are huddled to the grave,
Where kings and slaves have equal thrones;
Their bones without distinction lie
Amongst the heap of meaner bones.

On Luca Signorelli‘S 'End Of The World' And 'The Last Judgement

(after Eugene Lee-hamilton)

I

Under that sombre waning sun that shone overhead
I saw a strange kind of sight
that to mere man gives fright,
there was stirring the bleached bones of the dead

and chilling I had a feeling of utter dread
where I looked at a plane filled with strange light,
that had shattered darkness, had made day from night
while strange, flesh came to bones somewhere ahead,

while powerful an angel's trumpet blared in the sky
like thunder roared, made the whole world shake
summoned the almost ceaseless numbers to identity
the awesome power of God was under my eye
while multitudes at its call did wake,
before their Lord quite suddenly forever free.

II

Under mountains in the hellish glare
the evil rulers and wicked men did not repent,
to conspire together they went
while every evil general gathered their,

but in that kind of lurid air
all sanity, everything good was amiss and spent
as if demons from hell to them did descent,
while fear rose with a kind of dark despair

while they who were lost wanted to win at all cost
and to means of war they sought after being transfigured
while in anger they mocked the very host
when in judgement the sound of the voice of God was heard
before they were thrown in fires of hell or into utter frost
when they were no more, as love is heaven's final word.

Black Snow

Winter has come
He'll show us
What will come upon
The forever lasting signs

Flowers shall wilt
And never grow again
Trees and us have died in Winter's wrath
He have only hallowness
Filled with dread

Does he have darkness in his heart?
Is pain all he seeks?
Yet he have sadness in his eyes
Is pain all he seeks?

We shall wilt
And never grow again
We died upon Winter's wrath
We shall filled his hallowness
Filled with only dread

But, Winter's tears fallen upon us
Expecting ice to stab thee
Cold as his heart we have expected
For coming at us
Is the cold snow of his sadness

His sadness is greater than his hate
His loss is greater than our pain
He murdered us for a reason
Probably he knows that Spring will never revive us
Spring have died with the Earth and tribe

Sadness in his heart?
The pain is what he has left
Yet there is greif in his blackened heart
Is salvation all he seeks?
His pain will finally fall apart

His heart is broken
And forever more, he will never have love again
Spring have died in human's wrath
For his heart is hallow
His tears shall bury us
In black snow
