Discovery Of Size
How small we are or so it seems
until we appear in the land of dreams.
The specks we are in the universe
become so much grander as we traverse
and join with everything that's been.
There is the grandeur that lives within
this minuteness that we sense.
We are not small, not at all.
We are immense.

I Am Only One Small Name In A Universe
I AM ONLY ONE SMALL NAME IN A UNIVERSE
I am only one small name in a universe,
Of billions of names-
I am only one small bodily being
Where there are billions of billions-
I am a beginning and an end,
As all living things-
A speck in vast spaces whose specks are uncountable-
No one or nothing need save me
No one or nothing need remember me
No one or nothing billions of years hence
Need smile because I was here.
I am so small I need never to have existed-
I am not even here now,
Whoever is writing this
Lost me a long time ago.

Nothing I write/ Dreams me as I dream myself
NOTHING I WRITE / DREAMS ME AS I DREAM MYSELF
Nothing I write
Dreams me as I dream myself
Smaller than small small
Is man’s place in the universe
Smaller than small small small
Is my no place in the nowhere
Of forever nothingness
Kindness is all
But who can be kind for long
When all is dying dying dying
Small small small is all
And I have already gone home to nothingness
Forever silent as small which never was.

We are finite creatures. Our lives are small and can only scientifically consider a small part of reality. What's common for us is just a sliver of what's available. We can only see so much of the electromagnetic spectrum. We can only delve so deep into extensions of space. Common sense applies to that which we can access. But common sense is just that. Common. If total sense is what we want, we should be prepared to accept that we shouldn't call infinity weird or strange. The results we've arrived at by accepting it are valid, true within the system we use to understand, measure, predict and order the universe. Perhaps the system still needs perfecting, but at the end of day, history continues to show us that the universe isn't strange. We are.

We Are All Lost In Our Own Small Lives
WE ARE ALL LOST IN OUR OWN SMALL LIVES
We are all lost in our own small lives
Which seem to be the world to us
But which are for the Universe
A grain of a grain of a grain of sand
So so so so nothing at all –
We are all here at the center
So serious about what we are
And we ultimately are
What every unnamed atom will never see
Oh small is not the word
And nothing either
We puffed puffed puffed up fools
Mostly me.

Small World
Children seem to have no choice
The children have got no voice
Theyre merely living to grow old
Letting their days unfold
And its time that you and i
Realised that by and by
These children grow up into men
It is clear what we must do
What the lord has told us to
Give our brothers a chance
To be born again
Its a small world, a small world
When you see it through
A pair of haitian eyes
Its a small world, a small world
When the dreams you dream
Melt into haitian skies
Its just not good enough to say
That the troubles too far away
Cos the little that you need to give
Could help a little child to live
Help them live a little longer
Help them grow a little stronger
So why not play a part
If youre ever gonna do
What the lord has told us to
Its got to begin within your heart
Its a small world, a small world
When you reach out and touch
A stranger
From where you stand
Its a small world, a small world
When you can forge another link
In a far off land
Repeat last two lines
Its a small world, a small world
When you can forge another link
In a far off land

One Small Step
So many people
Need to go so many miles
How do we move them
To where the answer lies
Reach out to the ocean
Beyond the stars that shine
Weve got to take one small step in time
If we are the dreamers
Then the world must be the dream
Driven to question
All the things weve never seen
We search the horizon
Looking for a sign
Weve got to take one small step in time
One step beyond
All our hopes and our passion
There is the light of the universe flashin
All that it takes is one leap of faith
One small step, (one small step)
One small step in time
Deep in the darkness
(deep in the blackness)
Theres a wind that never dies
(theres a wind that never dies)
Out in the vastness
(out in the vastness)
Theres a road across the sky
(a road across the sky)
Out there is the reason
That we were meant to find
Weve got to take one small step in time
Weve got to take one small step in time
(one small step, one small step)
One small step in time
(one small step, one small step)
One small step in time
(one small step, one small step)

Specks of Dust
Specks of dust, that's all we are,
Just like the stars, so small and far,
And through the cosmos we'll be thrust,
To echo, rupture, burst, combust!
Like grains of sand, dewdrops, jewels,
We span the land like molecules,
Caught between demise and treasure,
With eyes that shine like pools of pleasure!
This onslaught will be over soon,
This poem lost, like ashes strewn,
Then on some gentle, temperate gust,
We'll dissipate, like specks of dust...

Small Victories!
small minds, small dreams,
small prayers, small God.
small thoughts, small answers,
to questions not small!
playing the race game,
the salvation game,
the mine and yours game,
the right and wrong game.
like cattle herded
unknowingly to slaughter.
every body a ticket,
to pay the fare.
bigger picture, bigger concepts,
bigger than i and me!
bigger risk, bigger world,
bigger choices, small victories.

Small Town
Well I was born in a small town
And I live in a small town
Probly die in a small town
Oh, those small communities
All my friends are so small town
My parents live in the same small town
My job is so small town
Provides little opportunity
Educated in a small town
Taught the fear of jesus in a small town
Used to daydream in that small town
Another boring romantic thats me
But Ive seen it all in a small town
Had myself a ball in a small town
Married an l.a. doll and brought her to this small town
Now shes small town just like me
No I cannot forget where it is that I come from
I cannot forget the people who love me
Yeah, I can be myself here in this small town
And people let me be just what I want to be
Got nothing against a big town
Still hayseed enough to say
Look whos in the big town
But my bed is in a small town
Oh, and thats good enough for me
Well I was born in a small town
And I can breathe in a small town
Gonna die in this small town
And thats probly where theyll bury me

Speckulation
Grander than great religions can anoint
universe began as geometric point,
then space and time expanded from this dot
more epic than prophetic words have taught-
This microscopic-macroscopic mess!
Man stands Adam tall, atom small- or less.

Small To Big!
small hands, trust...
big hands, afraid,
clenched to fists...
small eyes, see...
big eyes, blinded,
confined to conceptions...
small hearts, love...
big hearts, possess,
clipping the wings
of their own dreams!
small to big, return to small
finding our way home!

Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else's hands, but not you.
A Small Poem Sent Out To The Universe Alone
A SMALL POEM SENT OUT TO THE UNIVERSE ALONE
A small poem sent out to the universe alone
Is a speck of dust in a sea of galaxies
Who can see or hear or feel it?
When the Light is done
And the Darkness takes over all
It too will not be heard.

The Dreams We Have
THE DREAMS WE HAVE
The dreams we have
The life we have
What does it all mean?
Each day in so many other places and thoughts
Other realities go their own way
Our small small small world
Struggles on
With its own illusions and dreams
And what it all amounts to
Silence will forever say
Because silence is all we ever are forever
Perhaps.

Small Talk
Its not the chapters he reads when youre feeling low down
Its not the touch of his skin when you kiss him goodnight
Its not the money he spends when you want to buy a daydream
And not that miracle smile that makes the sky bright
Its not the way his hands behave
When youve turned out the light
Its the small, small small talk that makes it all happen
Small, small small talk that makes you want to fly, yes it does
Its not the way he believes in you like a religion
Its not the thrill that you get when hes holding you tight
Its not the way his eyes persuade
You to stay the night
Its the small, small small talk that makes it all happen (just like that)
Small, small small talk that makes you feel like flying, yes it does
Information, heart and soul, a whisper, a word
Confessions that have to be heard
Small small talk
Come on now, come on now
Come on - you make it rock so heavenly
Come on now, come on now
Come on - you seem to talk so heavenly
Big words...
Small talk...
Its not the way his eyes persuade
You to stay the night
Its the small, small small talk that makes it all happen
Small, small small talk that makes you feel like flying, yes it does

As a former small business owner, I recognize both the important role small businesses play in our economy and the broad universe of challenges that small business owners face in trying to make ends meet.
Where The Sour Turns To Sweet
Were waiting for you
Come and join us now
We need you with us
Come and join us now
Look inside your mind
See the darkness is creeping out
I can see in the softness there
Where the sunshine is gliding in
Fill your mind with love
Find the world of future glory
You can meet yourself
Where the sour turns to sweet
Leave your ugly selfish shell
To melt in the glowing flames
Can you sense the change?
See your eyes, now listen
Were waiting for you
Come and join us now
We want you with us
Come and join us now
Paint your face all white
To show the peace inside
Drift away while the saffron burns
To the land where the rainbow ends
Can you sense the change?
See your eyes in focus
Were waiting for you
Come and join us now
We need you with us
Come and join us now
Were waiting for you
Come and join us now
We need you with us
Come and join us now
We want you with us
Come and join us now
We need you with us
Come and join us now

So far as modern science is concerned, we have to abandon completely the idea that by going into the realm of the small we shall reach the ultimate foundations of the universe. I believe we can abandon this idea without any regret. The universe is infinite in all directions, not only above us in the large but also below us in the small.
