In Dreams

A candy-colored clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
Go to sleep. everything is all right.
I close my eyes, then I drift away
Into the magic night. I softly say
A silent prayerlike dreamers do.
Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.
In dreams I walk with you. in dreams I talk to you.
In dreams youre mine. all of the time were together

But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.

what is a dream if you cant achieve it

Ode To Dreams
No one can see into my dreams
and so they're mine alone.
I travel places and meet old friends
and some I've never known.
Some are dull and have no color
and some are bold and bright.
They don't seem to fit a pattern
as I wait for them at night.
They jump around from place to place
and sometimes when they're through
I awaken fitfully
for what I would like to do
is go back to sleep and finish my dream
and fashion it to my will.
But dreams cannot be directed.
We do not have that skill.
So I go to sleep not ever knowing
who I will meet or where I am going.
I guess it's the same for you.
So dream my friend. Dream in your bed
and maybe we'll meet, we two.

At night
When I am asleep
I dream so many things
That are inspiring
I dream of poverty ending
I dream of everyone finding work
I dream of becoming an accomplished writer
These are just a few of my inspiring dreams
I dream during storms
I dream during the day
I dream in gardens
I dream daily and nightly
Dreams are like stars
They appear and disappear

Dreams In The Cradle
Sweet little babe asleep in the night
with a smile upon your face.
Oh to be able to see what you dream
and to capture just a trace
'Twould create a smile upon my lips
and ease my adult lines.
For a short little time my little one
your dreams would mix with mine.
And I could escape the years I've spent
with dreams that don't bring peace.
I could dream like a babe again
and see my lines dscrease.
But I cannot join in the dreams you have.
They are meant for only you.
So dream little babe of happiness
before they're gone for you grew.

Dreaming of dreams
Some times you dream but some times you don’t
What happens in your dreams?
Some know and some don’t
You may wake up from your dream and try to go back
Many may try but not all can relapse
But for those who don’t know
To dream of a dream it is easy to go back
Visions in your mined that your brain bring up
So I dream and wake up
And can’t remember what my brain brought up
Only but few that I could remember I would lay down at night
And think of my few
I chose but one and think clearly through the night

Someone said that I’m a dreamer,

Late night pizza
I am in a dream catching crabs last night,
They crawled on the macadam
And under a car
Into a brown paper bag filled with irate dreams.
My hopes and my dreams.
I caught crabs that turned into bacon
My mind was awake
But my body asleep.

What are dreams?
they are not what they seem,
I dream of the day
