Memory's Shadow

Faces and names lost in haze and dark
Hurts and blames always leaving their mark
Pain and lies only sink into grey
Lovers and friends gradually fade away
Towers of power brought down low
Where? All there in memory’s shadow

A promise made down on one knee
A first kiss made under an ancient oak tree
An action of hate against a community
Consequences revealed in a moment of clarity
A shot to the head not painful or slow
All held right there in memory’s shadow

Snapshots of a time long since past
Fragments salvaged in hope they will last

Thy shall not slumber,

my thoughts turn like a record player
and my heart skips every time it goes off track
the ripples you send down my spine every time you're hands meet with mine
i never would have understood this feeling if it was not for you

my thoughts will never stop turning as long as you're there

Merlin the great

the magic soars above us,
it dances around us,
it waits for use to give them a job,
the peacefulness of the wind,
playful it is as the time of peace leave the fallen untold,
as magic consumes them into nature that is,
and their loved ones contain constant memory,
of those who have been lost in the pit of sorrow,
how sad the time of the fallen had been to them,
as the times and ages had came to them soon to end,
