L'envoy
Now in a thought, now in a shadowed word,
Now in a voice that thrills eternity,
Ever there comes an onward phrase to me
Of some transcendent music I have heard;
No piteous thing by soft hands dulcimered,
No trumpet crash of blood-sick victory,
But a glad strain of some vast harmony
That no brief mortal touch has ever stirred.
There is no music in the world like this,
No character wherewith to set it down,
No kind of instrument to make it sing.
No kind of instrument? Ah, yes, there is;
And after time and place are overthrown,
God’s touch will keep its one chord quivering.

The Music Comes And Goes
by: Tripp
the soothing sounds of a piano to a guitar the sounds they make
the feeling It brings when the piano sings playing the strings of a guitar
the times come and goes as the music grows
in the heart of those who play
thinking of that one thing that brings epiphany to that instrument you play
as you hold and take care playing with hopes and dreams the music slips through
and sings
i can't get enough of what it does to me
when i hear that sound that voice
the music she brings to my heart when I'm with her
her voice is the epiphany to my heart
holding on to her the music keeps playing
my heart keeps beating as the music plays
i keep dreaming dreaming holding on hoping this song will never end
dreaming to fall in love with this instrument forever
she is my instrument

Me the instrument
Music is in my mind
Iam full of glee
My fingers tapping the table
While my palms beat as a drum
My lips pucker and being to whistle
Iam really feeling this souful strum
My feet tapping the floor
It is really fun
Allowing my body to be an instrument
As I gaze at sun
For there is music on the inside
A harmonic hum
If I gave this instrument a name
Iam not quiet sure what it would be
Therefore to keep things simple and
From becoming complicate
I shall simply term this authentic instrument as Me

By The Fireside : The Singers
God sent his Singers upon earth
With songs of sadness and of mirth,
That they might touch the hearts of men,
And bring them back to heaven again.
The first, a youth, with soul of fire,
Held in his hand a golden lyre;
Through groves he wandered, and by streams,
Playing the music of our dreams.
The second, with a bearded face,
Stood singing in the market-place,
And stirred with accents deep and loud
The hearts of all the listening crowd.
A gray old man, the third and last,
Sang in cathedrals dim and vast,
While the majestic organ rolled
Contrition from its mouths of gold.
And those who heard the Singers three
Disputed which the best might be;
For still their music seemed to start
Discordant echoes in each heart,
But the great Master said, 'I see
No best in kind, but in degree;
I gave a various gift to each,
To charm, to strengthen, and to teach.
'These are the three great chords of might,
And he whose ear is tuned aright
Will hear no discord in the three,
But the most perfect harmony.'

When you are accompanied by the instrument - on an instrument like the lute-the lute and voice - you have this sound, and you feel how the music can be so touching and yet so simple.

Music & Me
Weve been together for such a long time now
Music, music and me
Dont care wether all our songs rhyme
Now music, music and me
Only know wherever I go
Were as close as two friends can be
There have been others
But never two lovers
Like music, music and me
Grab a song and come along
You can sing your melody
In your mind you will find
A world of sweet harmony
Birds of a feather will fly together
Now music, music and me
Music and me

Sure there is music even in the beauty, and the silent note which Cupid strikes, far sweeter than the sound of an instrument. For there is music wherever there is harmony, order and proportion; and thus far we may maintain the music of the spheres; for those well ordered motions, and regular paces, though they give no sound unto the ear, yet to the understanding they strike a note most full of harmony.

Music or Her
My girl ask a question to me,
she asked the music or she,
i looked at her with a stupid look,
watched as the words came out while her head shook,
i thought about my favorite bands,
then i thought about the feel of her hands,
the song stuck in my head,
quickly replaced by the image of her instend,
my brain and heart is at war,
leave her my mind wonders, leave music my heart is out the door,
the sound or the touch,
the thought of it is to much,
the final note i will share,
the final touch of her hair,
call me a felon leaving music is criminal,
but you could call me crazy, leaving her would drive me mental,
i wish you both could fuse,
to my music you could be my muse,
i just wait for that day,
i try to make it happen in any way,
but it wont cant,
no matter how long i rant,
i dont care if it makes me sick,
i will always pick, the music.

What I try to impart to a musician is to really try to practice the instrument in a really sincere way. Learn as much about music as you possibly can. Learn composition. Study to try to create compositions of your own and put your own personal touch on your music.

Music's Place
Music may not make the world go ‘round
But you will never really be alive
If it doesn't orbit your world
Music exists in every corner of the world
In that sense music doesn't have a place
But everywhere you go there is a place for music
Music is the great connector of the world
One's language is not a barrier for communicating
For music is universal and all instruments get along
Music is not a necessity, unless you are a musician
But life without music is almost unthinkable
On second thought, maybe music does make the world turn

Andante, Andante
Take it easy with me, please
Touch me gently like a summer evening breeze
Take your time, make it slow
Andante, andante
Just let the feeling grow
Make your fingers soft and light
Let your body be the velvet of the night
Touch my soul, you know how
Andante, andante
Go slowly with me now
Im your music
(I am your music and I am your song)
Im your song
(I am your music and I am your song)
Play me time and time again and make me strong
(play me again cause youre making me strong)
Make me sing, make me sound
(you make me sing and you make me)
Andante, andante
Tread lightly on my ground
Andante, andante
Oh please dont let me down
Theres a shimmer in your eyes
Like the feeling of a thousand butterflies
Please dont talk, go on, play
Andante, andante
And let me float away
Im your music
(I am your music and I am your song)
Im your song
(I am your music and I am your song)
Play me time and time again and make me strong
(play me again cause youre making me strong)
Make me sing, make me sound
(you make me sing and you make me)
Andante, andante
Tread lightly on my ground
Andante, andante
Oh please dont let me down
Make me sing, make me sound
(you make me sing and you make me)
Andante, andante
Tread lightly on my ground
Andante, andante
Oh please dont let me down
Andante, andante
Oh please dont let me down

Sick With The Music
Flick your Bic to the Music.
Don't you know how to get
sick with the music.
Do a high kick to the music.
Twirl a walking stick to the music.
tweak and wreak with the music.
Have mystique with the music.
Make it slick with the music.
I'm all the way sick with the music.
run a pick with the music,
do a trick with the music.
quick as a finger prick with the music.
are you ready to click
with the music? There we go,
what do you know?
Now, we're all the way sick
with the music.

The Red Mist
SHE thinks aloud as she sits alone,
And the magpies call in the evening grey —
Oh, sorrow to her with the heart of stone
Who stole my lover away, away!
There is no peace in the light of the moon,
And little enough in the shine of the sun;
And it's grieving and grieving that darkens the noon,
And troubles me sore till the salt tears run.
There's Joyce with the red cheeks says to me,
Herself as gay as a crowned young queen:
'It's pale you are, and it's sick, maybe;
And what is it ails your heart, Noreen?'
At that I say, with a laugh in my voice
(For grief is an ill, dark thing to show):
'It's you with your tricks and your capers, Joyce,
And the imp in your eyes that makes me so.'
There's one and another from near and far
Who come with their kind, sweet neighbour-speech;
'It's sick you look, and it's pale you are;
And what have you done with your bloom of the peach?'
I sit and listen, but may not tell;
As an actor plays, I play my part;
It's little they'd care (as my heart knows well),
If they but knew the hurt of my heart.
And even Joyce, who is kind as kind,
Would make a jest of my pain, perchance;
For a feather afloat on an idle wind
Means more to the world than a spoiled romance.
If I were a man I would do so much —
Be brave, make light of my weight of care,
Bring ease to my mind with a master-touch,
And find fit food for my heart elsewhere.
Yet soft and shy as a cooing dove
(For that he thought me, and thinks me yet)
I cannot rest for remembering love,
Nor dream of a time when I may forget.
I think of his kisses that warmed like wine
When the low night-winds in the pine trees played,
And the lilies, white in the white moonshine,
A startling light in the garden made.
I think of his voice in those honeyed hours,
And wonder if words are flowers sometimes,
All scent and colour — are chiming flowers
That thrill the blood with their magic chimes
And then, the thought of the Other comes,
Her wiles and wonder and luring lies,
And the blood in my ears is a throb of drums,
And a red mist glimmers before my eyes.
And I go to the place where the thing lies hid,
And its blade takes fire at my burning touch;
And I say to myself: 'If the world were rid
Of three lives more, would it matter much?
'Would it matter much in the big world's sight
If the sorry farce to the end were played.
And three ghosts trod through the Outer Night —
The Loved, the Lover, the Love Betrayed?
'If one that suffers and two that sing
Were made cold clay, were it well or ill?'
And I grasp the haft of the jewelled thing,
And stand in the lamplight pale and still.
And then I shudder, and sob and sink,
And lie, eyes hid, with the light turned low,
Like one who stands on an awful brink,
Wild-eyed, and trembling, and breathing slow;
And then comes Joyce with her joyous cries:
'Come out in the night, come dance with me!'
And I smooth my hair and I soothe my eyes —
But I know what the end of it all shall be.

It Used To Be Me
All he needs is everyone i've been
And all she needs is everywhere i've seen
All they need
Anything i've touched
And all you need is everything i've loved
Everything i've heard everything i've learned
Everything i've tried everything i've held
Everything i've felt everything i've lost
Everything i've cried
Until my whole head shrieks with grinding my teeth
Struggling to find a single word i can keep
Any kind of truth
Any kind of hope
Oh just any kind of word that doesn't make me choke
But i keep saying i will and i won't
I keep saying i do and i don't
I keep saying i feel
But there is nothing to feel
Just a strange kind of nothing where it used to be me...
It used to be me
All he needs from me is everyone i've ever missed
And all she needs from me
Everyone i've ever kissed
All they need from me
Anything i've ever sung
Yeah and all you need from me is everything i've ever said
Everything i've ever done everything i've ever made
Everything i've ever prayed everything i've ever believed
Everything i've ever touched everything i've ever loved
Everything i've ever thought everything i've ever dreamed
Until my whole head screams with grinding my teeth
Desperate to find a single word i can keep
Any kind of faith
Any kind of fix
Oh just any kind of word that doesn't make me sick
And i keep saying i will but i won't
I keep saying i do but i don't
And i keep saying i feel
But there is nothing to feel
Just this strange kind of nothing where it used to be me...
Anything and everything
All that you need
Get it for free
Anything and everything
All that you need
Get it from me
Get it from me
Get it from me
Get it from me

Twist
Ice and a twist
And a cigarette
Starts a night I won't forget
Drinks and a dance and a word or two
Share the time with someone new
Twist
Twist
You're locked in your land
On a private jet
The devil is at work out there
Tell me the time
On the altitude
I'm racing now I'm in the mood
You're the kind that's always
Gotta round the red lights
Too much is not enough for you
You bet your life on strangle
Lend them maybe black jack
I'm playing my cards so are you through?
Just wanna dance all night
I'm feeling all right
The music's out of sight
If you tell me what you like
Just wanna dance all night
And touch your body right
The music's out of sight
And we can bump into the light
Dice and a dessert is where we are
Babies could make you a star
Hope and despair
Come back each tear
Elvis is in town all year
You're the kind that's always
Gotta round the red lights (Oh yeah)
Too much is not enough for you
You bet your life on strangle
Lend them maybe black jack
I'm playing my cards so are you through?
Just wanna dance all night
I'm feeling all right
The music's out of sight
If you tell me what you like
Just wanna dance all night
And touch your body right
The music's out of sight
And we can bump into the light
Just wanna dance all night with you
The music's out of sight that's true
Just wanna dance all night with you
The music's out of sight that's true
Just wanna dance all night
(Just wanna dance all night with you)
I'm feeling all right
The music's out of sight
If you tell me what you like
Just wanna dance all night
(Just wanna dance all night with you)
And touch your body right
The music's out of sight
And we can bump into the light

Just wanna dance all night
Just wanna dance all night
(Do you wanna twist)
Just wanna dance all night with you

Prom
It's the night I'll never forget
here in my heart will never be lost
my mind still rewinds, the things it reminds
the night I was brave I say
You were here since the time I met you
but I'd never told you this
cause I never wanted you to
be shocked and leave me, turn away from me...
Cause the prom, it was 1 'til 5
I'm with you and every thing's fine.
I'm sitting beside you whole time
the loud pounding I hear deep inside me
The red petals of roses I had on my hand
and things I've kept, I'd told you
for I trust you, coz I like you
and I love you!
As we dance, the music's seems unending
As we touch, the moment's like eternity
and feelin'love here inside me
there's butterflies flyin' freely
and the voice I hear was music to my ear
when you started to sing
it was like I'm in heaven
every word is marking my brains
everything is written here inside
and this feeling won't subside
NEVER.

A Song for St. Cecilia's Day
FROM harmony, from heavenly harmony,
This universal frame began:
When nature underneath a heap
Of jarring atoms lay,
And could not heave her head,
The tuneful voice was heard from high,
'Arise, ye more than dead!'
Then cold, and hot, and moist, and dry,
In order to their stations leap,
And Music's power obey.
From harmony, from heavenly harmony,
This universal frame began:
From harmony to harmony
Through all the compass of the notes it ran,
The diapason closing full in Man.
What passion cannot Music raise and quell?
When Jubal struck the chorded shell,
His listening brethren stood around,
And, wondering, on their faces fell
To worship that celestial sound:
Less than a God they thought there could not dwell
Within the hollow of that shell,
That spoke so sweetly, and so well.
What passion cannot Music raise and quell?
The trumpet's loud clangour
Excites us to arms,
With shrill notes of anger,
And mortal alarms.
The double double double beat
Of the thundering drum
Cries Hark! the foes come;
Charge, charge, 'tis too late to retreat!
The soft complaining flute,
In dying notes, discovers
The woes of hopeless lovers,
Whose dirge is whisper'd by the warbling lute.
Sharp violins proclaim
Their jealous pangs and desperation,
Fury, frantic indignation,
Depth of pains, and height of passion,
For the fair, disdainful dame.
But O, what art can teach,
What human voice can reach,
The sacred organ's praise?
Notes inspiring holy love,
Notes that wing their heavenly ways
To mend the choirs above.
Orpheus could lead the savage race;
And trees unrooted left their place,
Sequacious of the lyre;
But bright Cecilia rais'd the wonder higher:
When to her organ vocal breath was given,
An angel heard, and straight appear'd
Mistaking Earth for Heaven.
GRAND CHORUS.
As from the power of sacred lays
The spheres began to move,
And sung the great Creator's praise
To all the Blest above;
So when the last and dreadful hour
This crumbling pageant shall devour,
The trumpet shall be heard on high,
The dead shall live, the living die,
And Music shall untune the sky!
