I suddenly got lost in my yesterdays with you

Friend's Suicides

A friend has commited suicide
many friends has left behind
many friends I use to hang around
but one major friend has gone

My one and only friend,
She has gone for along time
She made everyone cry
She made her friends do it
but never been listened

and if you wonder, friend, why I begin
a poem thus – you are to understand
that it’s as if
we have been close friends all our life,
friends, as Kabir defined a friend
as if no-one ever tried to speak of friend before –
friends, who share the silences between their words
as much as sharing their most inward thoughts;

so, our conversation’s just as much
a continuation of our friendship,
wasting no time in speaking passing things,
sharing some new thought in turn
and asking more for listening
than easy agreement for politeness’ sake;

for, we’re listening to the allness of the all -
all that has been said and
all that cannot yet be said
but thought in silences, in pauses between speech,
all that we might say
when we find words in which to say it,

and because
there’s not much time, to say what we would say
and so, we speak of that which time
can never steal; so there is always time
to speak, and hear the silence
out of which speech comes;

Every time we close our eyes to opportunity,

True friends will never let each other down

How To Take Things

How do I say what I want so that you say what you want?
I'm not sure what that is but you're holding back
I know, I can just tell...
It is not honesty you lack
But some sort of openness, you do not trust me well
I'm sure why, but you have, ore to say, and I'm here
I've always been here, here for you, but you don't hear
Me the same way I hear you, and I begin to wonder
Is the problem that I'm here? Do you want me to go away?
Because I will, even if it will tear my heart asunder
I will, I'd- I'll do it for you, unless you ask me to stay
But you haven't and something tells me you won't
I'm open, but I don't know if I can tell you this
It's different when it's love and not just friendship
It's stranger still when it's one-sided, a wistful wish,
I feel like we're at an edge right at the tip
And I want to jump to just be forgotten
The sadness is I don't think you'd pursue me
You never have, not even as a friend.. well you won
You don'; t want me so I'm gone... I know you won't

Who Do You Rely On?

As your world goes on day by day, who or what is your mainstay?
The One, who is The Only Way, will also sustain you from day to day.
Christ can not only be your end, He can guide you daily, my friend.
