Teira

Who is weak?
Come and let me comfort you and make strong!
Oil, toil, soil, boil, foil, coil, moil;
In weariness and toil i will put you right,
And like Teira in the river of love.

Like Abel

Pace, lace, race, ace, face, dace, mace;
To be able like Abel in the land of your muse,
Bride, ride, pride, stride;
Buried alive in the land of war!
Flow, slow, blow;
Drowned in the red sea without hope,
Goal, foal, coal;
Don't let your past atrocities destroy your life,
Soil, foil, boil, coil, moil, toil;
And like the horse and its rider!
But you have no hope in the midst of the sea.

Better Tomorrow Today

Today is gone,
Tomorrow is unknown,
A better tomorrow is grown,
Through todays toil and moil.

Through todays toil and moil,
The hidden treasures we'll re-coil
And dig out the gold in the soil.
Unity in mind and work is the only key.

Unity in mind and work is the only key,
The only key that will make us see,
Stop what is pulling us into the sea,
The pull of corruption and egotism.

The pull of corruption and egotism,
Of egocentric leaders lead to tribalism,
Will we ever cease from nepotism?
When will patriotism be part of us?

When will patriotism be part of us?
And we together live in peace with no fears?
Of the ruthless, violent beaconing neighbours,
Let we be of single nationality.

Let we be of single nationality,
Converge our concentration positively
Focusing fully on our future formalities.
By multiplying our efforts and determination.

By multiplying our efforts and determination,
Together we'll achieve our vision'
Of bettering the standards of our nation
And making the 2030 vision a reality.

Cyhydedd Naw Ban

The mountains are high covered in snow.
They overlook the valley below
Where farmers must work tilling the soil,
they’d rather be free; not have to toil..
No man can be completely free. Though
some think they ought to be they know
their contrasting desires in turmoil.
Most choose to stay faithful to the soil.
A few choose freedom and gladly go.
Circumstances may combine to foil
the fervent wish to be freed from toil.
It is just a dream as you well know.
You are free to dream but not to go.
Because you are a Son of the Soil.

Son Of The Soil

Black, strong tatooed by the sun.
He toils and never tires.
He is the son of the soil.
Forget all these fake wana be's! You see today
wanting to be everything they see on tv.
he is the Son of the soil, raised up in the language of the ancetrals.
Taught to hunter and respect the traditions.
Raised up in the secret sacred things of the land.
Spilt his blood in the soil at the riverside at the age of 13.
He knew where his destiny lay at the age of 16.
Had his first encounter at 18.
She was a true daughter of the soil breed well by the women of the land.
Son of the soil taught by the elders the ways of women.
Son of the soil, taught by nature the way to survive.
Son of the soil, taught to endure by the woman he shares his purity with.
Son of the soil,
arise and toil for your destiny calls.
Toil to protect the weak,
to safeguard the rites,
to up root all menace and vallians from the west.
Son of the soil its your time to stand and be heard.

Your well-wisher

As if my whole body’s skin is infected by boil
I can’t get rid of it regardless of toil and moil!

It has become so sensitive a little touch
Can give me alarming pain so I have to watch!

Baby, please give me no more pain
Cause love is flowing through my vein!

I am still and always will be your well-wisher
If you don’t love me anymore be like a star!

Dreamland

You come to me in times of need
When you cant find anyone
You seem to be much better off now
Theres a rainbow number one
We could see life through the gutter then
Till it caused my heart to break
There was too much toil in dreamland
And too much love to take
Sometimes I remember when
We were all dressed up in style
I dont recall the gist of it all
But you drove the young men wild
You could wrap me around your finger
Till it caused my heart to break
There was too much toil in dreamland
And too much love to take
So if you need me near you
Y can do it if you choose
There was too much toil in dreamland
And too much love to lose
Instrumental
You make me do what you want me to do
Then you run the rules on me
You seem to be the wiser now
Could it be youve been deceived
Anytime you felt like tryin
You would cause my heart to break
There was too much toil in dreamland
And too much love to take
So if you need me near you now
You can do it if you choose
There was too much toil in dreamland
And too much love to lose

The Soil's Tears

The soil knows the burden of tears
The earth’s sadness that it bears
Through endless battles for territory -
Only the soil knows it has no boundary!
Blood spills on it, falls toil’s sweat,
Muscle’s ravage decides the weak’s fate
Cries of desperation and victory’s cheers
All these the soil tearfully bears!

I am a King While Working

Working is very nice and fine
It gives a very healthy sign
The working pleasure is mine
I want to work again and again

I am adequately compensated
While working I am not irritated
By sweat my body is irrigated
My efforts will never get wasted

To work I feel very very hungry
Too much work makes me not angry
To do work I always love to agree
I behave like a well-watered tree

My hands may look dirty
My age may be fifty
I love to do my duty
My body ever feels thirsty

I will never grudge
I will ever budge
I will never dodge
I will take a pledge

I care not my body being sweated
I worry not by being disappointed
Only to work I am appointed
To do duty only I am created

Till my last breath
I will toil on this Earth
My birth must give mirth
Only six feet land I am worth!

I will distribute cash
Secretly I will not stash
To work I will make a dash
Lazy feelings equal trash

Day and night I will truly toil
Under the Sun which will boil
I will pray to the mother soil
To make sweat better than oil

O- God- Help me wake up
O- God- Help me make up
Any task, help me take up
Any riddle, help me rake up.

The Fairest Cape

The mild Cape Town winter weather
triggers blooming of the Heather.
The Erica shines their lanterns
amongst the Foxtail Ferns.
The white clouds overhead feather.

The Silver Trees create a foil
against which the flora toil.
The King Proteas are gearing up
to supply a feast for birds to sup.
The Cape Cobra in slumber coil.

The Aloes have many a use
and can withstand much abuse.
The fiery red Cape Honeysuckle
led the cultivated hedges to buckle.
Mountain fires lit by the obtuse.

Our proud heritage was in full bloom -
a rambling pathway the only room.
Scorched earth, naked and black;
sustenance of the soil now sadly lack.
The canon on Signal Hill boom.

The Holy Whore of Babylon

The Holy Whore of Babylon cries.
Her plea, invection cast as lies.
Prejudice awaits her toil,
Propaganda spates her foil,
Sin’ly, thinly await to rise.

To shed the shackles of her ties,
They think that she is in demise.
Blood begins to creep and boil.
The Envoy unchallenged.

The Holy Whore of Babylon flies,
Her motives strong, rejected; wise
Prejudice foretells her; loyal
Propaganda outstrips her; Royal
As others dictate; she simply sighs.
The Envoy unchallenged.

My Teacher

Unveiled faces,
In weariness and toil;
Unspoken words,
In hunger and thirst;
Tablets and stones,
In the cold and of the nakedness;
And like a beast bigger than a baby's head.
Empty pride,
There is a window in the wall!
And of the present evil age of mankind;
But the heir is still an infant.
The flesh of the heart and,
The vine and the vinedresser;
Let down in the basket is youe love because,
The king is now on the donkey.
The fragrance of knowledge is like,
The words of my teacher;
But the law is my aroma and,
Wisdom is my teacher of love.
Come with the spirit of understanding and,
Let me care for your love;
For the hired men and women are full of toil!
And like a window in the wall of the earth.

Alton Locke's Song

Weep, weep, weep and weep,
For pauper, dolt, and slave!
Hark! from wasted moor and fen,
Feverous alley, stifling den,
Swells the wail of Saxon men-
Work! or the grave!

Down, down, down and down,
With idler, knave, and tyrant!
Why for sluggards cark and moil?
He that will not live by toil
Has no right on English soil!
God's word's our warrant!

Up, up, up and up!
Face your game and play it!
The night is past, behold the sun!
The idols fall, the lie is done!
The Judge is set, the doom begun!
Who shall stay it?

Christmas

Mother, when christmas comes once more,
I do not wish that you
Should buy sweet things for me again,
As you were used to do:

The taste of cakes and sugar-plums
Is pleasant to me yet,
And temptingly the gay shops look,
With their fresh stores outset.

But I have learn'd, dear mother,
That the poor and wretched slave
Must toil to win their sweetness,
From the cradle to the grave.

And when he faints with weariness
Beneath the torrid sun,
The keen lash urges on his toil,
Until the day is done.

But when the holy angels’ hymn,
On Judea's plains afar,
Peal'd sweetly on the shepherds’ ear,
'Neath Bethlehem's wondrous star,

They sung of glory to our God,—
“Peace and good will to men,”—
For Christ, the Saviour of the world,
Was born amidst them then.

And is it for His glory, men
Are made to toil,
With weary limbs and breaking hearts,
Upon another's soil?

That they are taught not of his law,
To know his holy will,
And that He hates the deed of sin,
And loves the righteous still?

And is it peace and love to men,
To bind them with the chain,
And sell them like the beasts that feed
Upon the grassy plain?

To tear their flesh with scourgings rude,
And from the aching heart,
The ties to which it fondliest clings,
For evermore to part?

And 't is because of all this sin, my mother,
That I shun
To taste the tempting sweets for which
Such wickedness is done.

If men to men will be unjust, if slavery must be,
Mother, the chain must not be worn; the scourge
be plied for me.

he's thinkin of you first given comfort when
he's think that you hurt (that's done when you really love someone )

The Believer's Safety (II)

That man no guard or weapons needs,
Whose heart the blood of Jesus knows;
But safe may pass, if duty leads,
Through burning sands or mountain snows.

Released from guilt he feels no fear,
Redemption is his shield and tow'r;
He sees his Saviour always near
To help, in every trying hour.

Though I am weak and Satan strong,
And often to assault me tries;
When Jesus is my shield and song,
Abashed the wolf before me flies.

His love possessing I am blest,
Secure whatever change may come;
Whether I go to East or West,
With him I still shall be at home.

If placed beneath the northern pole,
Though winter reigns with rigor there;
His gracious beams would cheer my soul,
And make a spring throughout the year.

Or if the deserts sun-burnt soil,
My lonely dwelling e'er should prove;
His presence would support my toil,
Whose smile is life, whose voice is love.

A river bears a burden

A river bears a burden
It carries far downstream,
And no man's eyes will see it
Or fathom what it means.

A river bears a burden
Beneath it's swirling toil.
It's rippling edges teasing
The sodden, silent soil.

A river bears a burden
Beneath our nightly dreams,
Our temporal excursions
Along it's watered seams.

A river bears a burden
Of many dreaming feet,
Searching all it's alleys
To a dreamer's slow heartbeat.

A river bears a burden;
It will not wake our sleep,
But carries us forever
Our roaming souls, to meet.

Lines Addressed To Lieut. R.W.H. Hardy, R.N.

ON THE PERUSAL OF HIS VOLUME OF TRAVELS IN THE INTERIOR OF MEXICO.

'Tis pleasant, lolling in our elbow-chair,
Secure at home, to read descriptions rare
Of venturous traveller in savage climes;
His hair-breadth 'scapes, toil, hunger-and sometimes
The merrier passages that, like a foil
To set off perils past, sweetened that toil,
And took the edge from danger; and I look
With such fear-mingled pleasure through thy book,
Adventurous Hardy! Thou a diver art,
But of no common form; and, for thy part
Of the adventure, hast brought home to the nation
Pearls of discovery-jewels of observation.
